Cafe Andaluz West End in Glasgow City

Food amazing, never disappointed here.

We had lunch here and the food was absolutely fantastic. Every dish was delicious, all served very well. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We will be back!

I was skeptical at first but I ordered the Pollo Rebozado con Miel as well as the Espárragos a la Parrilla, and they were both fantastic. I tried the Croquetas de Jamón y Queso as well, and they were pretty good too. We ordered the Crema Catalana and it was great, like a mix between a Flan and a Creme Brulee. The bathrooms were cramped though, with a door behind a door for some reason.

Everything was great! Whatever you order you’ll know will be good, we did a bit of everything: Patatas Bravas, Croquetas de Jamón y Queso, different chicken and lamb options, 10/10 ⭐️ The service was also great, the dishes came out quickly one after the other.

Be careful when they ask if you need some bread. The bread came with olive and olive oil but they charged them separately (around £8) and did not let us know until get the bill.

Food was good and very well priced! Must say that I was a tiny bit disappointed by the paella but it was still good. Great service and atmosphere and the restaurant looks absolutely lovely.

Really great food! Their pre-theatre menu is really reasonably priced which meant that between 5 of us we tried a lot of the menu!

Great Tapas in a very Spanish feeling place. Lovely decor and food.

Found this place by accident when looking for somewhere to eat. We have not been out for ages and did a game of put up a Google map of the west end,shut my eyes and touch the screen. This is where we landed and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. Gentleman who greeted us was warm and friendly, the atmosphere as soon as you walk in was buzzing. The seating is comfortable. Staff were over withing minutes to take our drink orders and left us to choose. The menu is not massive, so your head won't be spinning trying to choose, but the descriptions of all the amazing food make the choices tough. We chose a sharing platter to start which was with us quickly. I asked the advice of our server as to how many dishes to choose and she recommended 5 or 6, she was spot on,as there were two of us the amount was perfect, the food was delicious,full of flavour and fresh. All in all an amazing experience and we are already trying to decide what dishes we will have next time, maybe even have the paella.

Nice Spanish style restaurant in the East End of Glasgow. Very pleasant decor welcoming staff and good freshly cooked food. Will visit again.

Not the tapas I was hoping for. Patata bravas all cooked wrong. Padron peppers ( size was ridiculously small - 7 peppers max). Croquettes with jamon nothing special and quite cold! Goat cheese with marmelade really good. Sangria was a disaster and the second drink was served on a glass of water with no ice at all. I didn’t have the strength and patience to argue. Service quite flat but the person who welcomed us was really nice.have asked for white wine recommendation but the waiter had no idea. The place needs a good deep cleaning as you can spot dust on corners and where the put the Christmas decorations.

Locale in stile andaluso nel west end di Glasgow. I piatti sono molto buoni e gli accostamenti tra i sapori non banali. Ottimo l'agnello speziato e il caprino con arancia amara caramellata. Le ragazze al servizio sono sempre sorridenti e rapide. Complimenti. Tornerò senz'altro.

I've been to Café Andaluz several times but this last one has been the occasion that push me to write this review. Lovely food and drinks as always but what made the difference today was the quality of the service provided. The manager Miguel and the lovely waitress Pearl really went above and beyond to accomodate my severe intolerance to black pepper and chilly pepper, both of them provided information and truthful information about the dishes and suggested reasonable changes to the dishes. Thanks to this, I have been able to fully enjoy the dinner and both of them really deserve a round of applause and a big thank you, so, thank you both!

The staff and ambiance is very nice. However, the paella had no taste to it, almost like it had no seasoning. I did not like the food and my partner said “it was the worst paella he ever had”.

Excellent tapas as always. Bread and olives to start with balsamic and olive oil. Followed by patatas gradinatas. Meat balls, chorizo black pudding. Goats cheese with marmalade and chicken in honey

I am an identical twin, and this is our go-to place for a celebratory birthday dinner. The staff could not have been more professional or courteous, and the manager, Manuel, topped the lot. He could remember us and where we sat the previous year. Superb food and a great choice of wine or drinks tops it all off for a memorable visit

Meal bought for us as a 25th wedding anniversary gift. We were both very impressed with the choice of dishes and the quality of the food once it turned up. The creme brulé was especially nice, both in its taste and the generosity of the serving. Will be back.

Another anniversary dinner with my lovely wife. This is the first time we have visited the west end restaurant as we normally book with the one near George square. Food was good, a few things were amiss with the meatballs as the individual balls were tough. But other than that a great atmosphere with all the Spanish touches surrounding us. The service was great with the only nip pick was we had to constantly try and find out waiter for drinks. He seamed to be fully concentrating on the larger tables.

A favourite of my cousin and we visited with her during a short trip to Glasgow. Good variety of tapas with super friendly helpful staff. Felt transported to Spain. 🤩

Food was good but if you want to have a girls night out christen the supervisor told us to be quiet because we was having a good time totally put us off and wanted to get out of there so quickly

Chicken in batter with Honey, croquettes with ham and mozzarella, and chorizo/black pudding dishes were so tasty. All the food was good and staff friendly and helpful. Slow service but a lovely atmosphere to be in while you wait.

Just tried this Restaurant, stood like an idiot while the guy checked his till, eventually he looked up, although the place was empty he said they are really busy later but could give us a table for an hour or so, told him to forget it and walked out, obviously he didn’t need £80 today, disappointing as the Restaurant in Glasgow City Centre is excellent

Disappointing. I’ve had great experiences with Cafe Andaluz in Edinburgh and Newcastle, but a late lunch in Glasgow failed to deliver. Service and staff were good, but food was lukewarm and the mussels were sufficiently suspect that we didn’t feel comfortable finishing them. Everyone has an off day, and I’d probably give them another chance. Unfortunately when you tell someone that a place is good, and it doesn’t live up to expectations, it doesn’t exactly motivate you to come back.

Nice place for food and drinks Tapas are lovely with a wide variety and great quality. -1 star for service as our drinks arrived way after our food despite us asking the waitress about it. But, it happens, that's why we'll soon be back for more tapas!

The food in this restaurant is so cosy and feels authentic. The food is delicious. I have been a few times and it never fails to impress. Staff are friendly and helpful too.

Booked an ItIsOn Deal for here, sometimes when you get a deal you don't get much choice or the portions are small, not here! Loads of fresh bread and olives, 5 delicious tapas between us and a dessert plus a chilled glass of sangria to wash it all down. Great food and service at a really good price, highly recommended.

Usually goto the Edinburgh ones, so may be comparing this branch to these unfairly Vs as if it was a standalone place. Anyway. Food was fine, some dishes were not quite as they usually are but tasted okay. Service was not fantastic as waiter kept knocking things onto the floor, maybe just a bad day. Atmosphere was fine, nice decorations, another unfair comparison I suppose is that this restaurant was completely Glasweigans running it, versus Spanish staff in any other I've been to, which is obviously fine but more importantly they say the dishes in Spanish at the others versus saying in a strong Glasweigan accent "who got the sausage in wine" instead of "chorizo Al vino" makes it feel a lot less exotic. Still a fine restaurant just would recommend to goto another of their sites for a better experience.

Food was quite cold, came in small portions and was not authentic at all, service slow. We were very disappointed.

Very good! Only downside is that I wished we had ordered more and is a tab bit pricey, but excellent for a great- will go again!

Back on holiday after 12 years away and just consistently as good on both the Service as well as food side of the business. Chorizo and Black Pudding is a winner all the way!

Dropped in for an early evening bit of food and left stuffed full. Great prices for a heck of a big portion/s. Tasty too and all delivered swiftly and efficiently. Staff, a couple of newbies I think, were polite and efficient. Wine not badly priced either. Go to either of the Cafes in an irregular basis. Why, I ask myself when the food is this good and at these prices.

Went here saturday night with husband. Hadnt been out in a while and normally love this place. Prawns where chewy,croquettes where pasty and tasteless,black pudding was dry.What a huge disappointment,food was mediocre at best. Table was the size of a postage stamp and had to put wine on floor for room. Zero stars i'm afraid

We had a very large group booking and were provided with a good space, a tasting menu that gave us shared platters that met all dietary needs. There was plenty of choice on the platters and the food was delicious.

Cafe Andaluz has been one of our staple eateries for a number of years. The menu is varied, tasty and dishes are always well presented. Cafe Andaluz has two outlets in Glasgow, one close to George Square and the other in the city's West End, both have a decor and atmosphere that lend a visit that authentic Spanish vibe. On this occasion we took advantage of a deal that entitled us to 3 courses and glass of sangria each. I would recommend that anyone who can should take advantage of this offer.

End of term choir lunch. There were 32 of us and the service was excellent! Great food & big portions, even though they were tapas dishes.

Pretty middle of the road and underwhelming if I’m honest. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. £8 for some bread, olives and a bit of oil. Service was very disappointing though. Added a service charge onto the bill too which I absolutely can’t stand. I’m the customer and I’ll decide the tip. If you’re having to add a service charge on, pay your staff more. Not sure if it was just an off day as I’ve heard really good things. Crème brûlée was delicious though.

Was about to leave before even eating when I saw their “prime of place” picture of a bull pierced in daggers … would give them 5 stars if it wasn’t for the painting .. next time I book I’ll ask if it’s been removed - if not I won’t go back …

Went for lunch on a Wednesday! Great value, stunning tasting food. Highly recommend! The staff are very welcoming and the overall atmosphere is good. If you haven't been...go immediately!

Chose the set menu. Plenty variety on offer and enough food for all. Chilli prawns were a stand out dish but others were not far behind. Lovely atmosphere inside and excellent quick service.

First time we've visited the Glasgow branch. Just as good as the two restaurants in Edinburgh.

The service is wonderful. I hate almost all kinds of food and Josef was very helpful at choosing. It was a splendid experience!

Lovely selection of tapas,service was first class. Prices were very reasonable. Popped in for lunch,very enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Nice atmosphere, however the food was very inconsistent in quality. The chicken was bland. The pork skewers were undercooked. Spanish tapas need to be bursting with flavour so I found them quite underwhelming.

Restaurant was cold and the food was only lukewarm...

First time visiting here for an early evening meal. Booked in advance and seated quickly on arrival. Drink and food orders taken very quickly and both served very quickly, within minutes of ordering which makes me think the food wasn't cooked to order. The croquettes looked and tasted awful, more from Iceland frozen foods than a Spanish restaurant. Out of the 8 dishes we ordered we liked 4. We had our table for 2 hrs but were in and out of there in 40 mins! Won't return I'm afraid.

Visited here with our friends and family to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday. Staff were superb, more than happy to help putting up balloons and banners and do the cake presentation thing. Tables booked in advance for a reasonable fee and the attention we got from the waiters was first class. Food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.
