Really terrific! Seafood is the best ive every had until now. Service was also ok but would have liked another drink and we needed wait a little bit for the bill.

The food wasn't good. I ordered scallops and they were bitter. The wine served in the glass was already oxygenated....anyway....not worth it

Food tasted like nothing for the price, we still felt hungry after the meal.

I had the Seafood Arroz, the king prawns were flavoursome and I could eat the saffron rice everyday, one of the best meals I've had in a while. The service and atmosphere were lovely as well. I will definitely be coming back to have the rice again!

Celebrating in Christmas vibe, I try Cadiz located in busy and wonderful George street. As usual with lunch deals, I go with three courses. The pink peppercorn is quite impressive with the sauce and the fried is pretty nice. My friend tried chorizo ball which is not bad as well. The main course I had is Cod wrapped in ham. I think the fish is well cooked and the fondant potato is amazing but the ham might add too saltiness to the dish unfortunately. The wow is the chicken breast that I taste the glimpse of it. Tender and succulent is the word I feel for it. The dessert is the vanilla ice cream with chocolate praline. It’s nice but I couldn’t finish as the portion is quite big and sharable. The main course portion is satisfactorily big so 2 courses might be enough for me. The decoration is quite chic and sophisticated but the entrance might be hard to find as you need to walk and go upstairs. Recommended to come and try from savvy budget to the fancy a la carte dishes.

Mindblowing food that's prepared to an exceptionally high standards. We ordered a selection of small and large plates and not one disappointed us at all. Great service and amazing cocktails 🍸 with absolutely delicious tasting food. Definitely a restaurant we will be returning to when in Edinburgh for sure

Mediocre food good environment for relaxing waiter is a bit slow, both in the head and in real life, stares at you as if you are saying something stupid

Delicious food and lovely atmosphere. The young server with glasses was really great and very polite. The suited up manager unfortunately was very grumpy and inattentive.

The risotto is probably the best out of everything we had, even though the rice was a lil undercooked. Scallops and mussels were above average. Not really impressive though, but the atmosphere is great

A wonderful place for sea food. Relax and comfortable. Food to high standard and excellent services. We have been there for lunch and dinner in the past few weeks.

A last minute find before leaving Edinburgh. The food was excellent, though portions on the smaller side. We had the Halibut and Cod. The tables are rather close together and I have a feeling we unwittingly involved the next table in our conversation. The bathrooms could do with more frequent cleaning as it seems they are shared between two restaurants. The service was great and overall we enjoyed our evening.

A perfect 10! I don’t often give a 10 but this was so well so deserved. Starters: scallops & prawns, mains: scallops & cod, From Cadiz With Love cocktail, wine, all sensational! Staff were so kind, friendly, attentive & accommodating. Beautiful restaurant. Lovely atmosphere. If you like seafood and cocktails, then you need to go here. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Outstanding service from efficient , attentive and friendly staff, wonderful atmosphere, really good menus and high quality meals , not cheap but not bad value for money either. Great restaurant for seafood in particular. Six of us ate there last week and the food and service were excellent. Although the restaurant was really busy it wasn't too noisy and we could still hold a conversation over dinner.

Went to Edinburgh for Christmas market and shopping with my wife. We are both seafood lovers. Walked into Cadiz without any booking, the waitress was very FRIENDLY and offered us a nice table in front of the bar. Ist impression was **a nice venue**. We had Seafood soup, mussels and Seafood Arroz. They were BEAUTIFUL. I wish I didn't have the German sausage at the Christmas market so I could try more in this restaurant. Will definitely visit this gem again. Highly recommend this place to everyone who like seafood.

Great place for fresh seafood and service

First time visit and we were not disappointed. Very friendly welcome and service was first class. Food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the bread and olive starter and the cod and chicken mains. Finished the meal off with a salted caramel chocolate cheesecake which was one of the nicest desserts we have had. Outstanding and we will definitely be back.

Scallops melt in your mouth, mussels large fresh and gorgeous. Service excellent. We had a lovely evening here.

Absolutely fantastic! The solefish and scallop mains were absolutely wonderful! And the wife found her favourite cocktail also!

Lovely peaceful ambience, tables well set out, we all had starters, they where served beautifully,2 had prawns, l had sourdough bread with a chilli butter, our mains where 2 fish and chips, l had lobster thermador served with french fries, to finish the meal we had coffee's l had pavlova, everything about this lovely place was just divine, staff are so polite and attentive, filling up water glasses etc. Such a lovely place to relax with good food and chilled atmosphere, we will be back 😀

I had the seafood bisque appetizer which was disappointing. It was basically seafood broth. For the main meal, I had scallops and they were good. Service was good. No one asked how things were going.

Lunch meeting with three other friends today. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food choices. Also enjoyed our white wine choice too.

Maneesh and his team look after us from very beginning. Even eventful situation with taxi and being late nearly an hour CADIZ helped us feel great again and forget about all the commutation. Great seafood and blue wine along with very nice and pleasant professional team locked this place in our memories on the very high level... definitely will be back at the next opportunity! A wonderful place, with incredible food that won't need a loan to pay for. I had the scallops which were Devine. My wife had the lobster, and was very pleased with it. Our two guests also enjoyed their meal. Highly recommend.

Had a fabulous lunch before and paid a return visit for late Sunday lunch. Absolutely delicious food and lots of it. Lovely attentive staff and great value for money. Looking forward to next visit.

Very good seafood . If I had not eaten at Bella Sicily in Jedburgh the day before I would have been more impressed. Don't get me wrong still very good food . But if your in Scottland and you are as close to Jedburgh as Edinburgh you have to plan a trip go to Bella Sicily for your seafood meal!!

Great seafood, friendly and quick service and nice view of George St. from the second floor. The fresh bread with paprika butter was a terrific start. I had grilled king scallops in a perfect cream sauce and my husband said it was the best halibut he ever had. Ended the meal with a chocolate fondant volcano. Great from beginning to end.

Very much enjoyed our visit to Cadiz. Excellent appetisers such as Padron Peppers, croquettas, whitebait etc. mains also good, seafood arroz, hake etc. Cheese to follow, again very nice. All well presented. Service good. ££

A little cramped. Tables for 4 were small. Lobster and scallops were good. Portions are not large but that's OK. Service good and prices reasonable to slightly high.

A strong 4.5! Was there on a Wednesday night for my father's birthday so a small family meal it was! Ambiance was relaxed, service speed and efficiency was as best as it could be with 3 staff serving what was 4 tables including ours to about 15 tables in 30mins after oir arrival! Approachable staff that was attentive but not over the top. Food was all very good. I've not been much of a seafood fan but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I can see Cadiz being a very busy place as there was a back section with what seemed like 40 other small tables...come on the quiter days and you'll have a fabulous time!

Very busy and loud restaurant with lacking service. The table layout makes the space feel compact. The menu was promising but the food was below my expectations for the price range. Was not warned that the fish would not be de-boned so that made eating a bit of a chore. The sister restaurant Cafe Andaluz is better value for money with more tapas selection.

We came for my partners birthday and we were both Blown away by freshness of the ingredients. Cadiz is an excellent Fusion of Scottish/Spanish cuisine. The stylish decor and Chilled atmosphere added to the night as well as the very friendly and welcoming staff

We came here for lunch and I chose off the set menu. All three courses I had were delicious. The prawns could of had a little more flavour but the haddock was incredible with a very light and crispy batter. The cheesecake was delicious and felt very light to eat despite it being quite substantial. The services was great and would definitely recommended to anyone looking for good seafood in Edinburgh.

Can’t speak for the quality of the food because the service was so slow and awful that we simply walked out …. If the restaurant is busy when you arrive I suggest that you do the same .

We waited 20 mins for drinks, another 20 for starters and then had to leave after another 45 mins after our mains didn’t arrive. Seafood bouillabaisse was average. Can’t comment on the rest as we never got to experience it. Waiter didn’t deal well with the complaint - bad humour.

The seafood platter was excellent. Service was decent but it was pretty expensive for the experience overall.

Went there on an itison deal which was superb value. My husband and I had different cocktails, both were amazing and presentation wonderful. Amuse bouche was a lovely fish soup. Prawns then beer battered fish then panna cota were tasty and presentation lovely. Service perfect and not intrusive. A lovely team of staff and Erica was great as our server. Will be back. Passed by this restuarant many times but did not notice it, directly next to Cafe Andaluz.

Disappointing been here lots of times and been amazing however this time calamari small ends the halibut was a very small portion , the girl with glasses is friendly and welcoming she disappeared maybe end of shift and we were left with a long wait to get our meal

Eine Bar und Restaurant in verschiedenen Räumen und typisch spanisch dekoriert. Leise und angenehme spanische Musik. Service aufmerksam und schnell. Leider schmeckte die Tomatensoße mit der Chorizo angebrannt. Sonst ist alles sehr ansprechend.

Smart inside and service was good but do not order the steak, not even a cm thick and never a 9oz. Not what you spect for £29 plus £3 for a sauce. See picture and ask yourself, would you pay £29 for that?

Fantastic meal and first class service. Our first visit on an ITISON deal. Our waiter was extremely professional and gave excellent service. The food was absolutely amazing.

I definitely recommend Cadiz. The food was incredible especially the pulpo galego and the seafood arroz! The place was very elegant and had a loving comfortable atmosphere. The waiters were very knowledgeable and helpful.

It was my best friend's birthday and we didn't have a reservation but they were very welcoming. Lucy our waitresses she was so kind and made us feel soo comfortable and help me to make my best friends bday special. We really had a nice experience and do recommend for a very nice and welcoming atmosphere.

This was an itison deal we booked by mistake we were going to theatre and thought it was Edinburgh..it was Glasgow to late to cancel so we went with my daughter and her young children..stairs getting up is not buggy friendly and she has a double took basinet of carried it up stairs guys did offer (child asleep in it ) food was a 3 coarse l had brushetta with goats cheese which was 3 small pieces just bigger than a fifty pence daughter had prawns 4 of then we had cod ..(soz no pics distracted by children)which was average..I had lime posset which was lovely and daughter had Orange steamed pudding .. didn't realise this is part of or owned by same people that has cafe andaluz and Amoure also a Mexican place as well ... wasn't that impressed don't think I would return 😔

A little pricey but food is excellent

One of the best seafood meal we have had so far in Edinburgh. We ordered the seafood platter, as recommended by the manager, together with half a dozen of oysters, and we enjoyed everything there. A whole lobster, two grilled king prawns, a couple of mussel pots with different sauces and two pieces of scallops were included in the seafood platter. They were all fresh and tasty. The lobster was pleasantly firm in texture and well-grilled with garlic butter; both of the mussel pots were great, flavourful sauces which didn’t overshadow the freshness of mussels themselves. The oysters came before the platter and they were of good quality as well, smelled fresh, subtly briny, smooth and soft in texture. Loved the desserts and I recommend the Seville pudding which was complimented by a nice orange marmalade and vanilla custard. Great sherry we had with the desserts, and the staff was so kind to, apart from the one we ordered, offer a sample of the other two on the menu for us to taste. A really enjoyable meal and all the staff were really friendly.

A quaint restaurant on the second floor with excellent seafood. The lemon sole and halibut were flavorful and delicious.

The food was pleasant but not the best seafood we’ve had. Service was very good however and they have a really interesting blue wine which is worth trying.

This restaurant has really great seafood with a Spanish influence. The service was great, as were the cocktails offered. We loved the decor and ambiance and will definitely be back if we visit Edinburgh again.

Alway get a craving for great quality seafood and this place did not disappoint. I had half dozen oysters followed by lobster Thermidor and my friend had scallops and mussels polished off with a lovely glass of Sauvignon. Everything prepared to perfection. Very good value for money

Good food, but below average service.

Lo único español es la música ambiente. Me decepcionó q no hubiese ni una carta en castellano. Yo pedí tapas para comer pero vi pasar una "paella" q era arroz hervido muy amarillo con una cigala en lo alto. Para españoles no lo recomiendo, ni ese ni el andaluz de al lado.
