Cabana in Torridge

Having been for a long beach walk with our dog my husband, daughter and myself fancied a drink and something nice to eat. We had the best tuna panini I have ever tasted, with 2 cups of tea and coke. The service was brilliant, the staff being very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend a visit 10/10 thank you

Another dull and wet morning for my early morning dog walk and I stumbled upon this delightful spot . I had no intention of having a breakfast stop but the menu drew me in and I was not disappointed with an al fresco well cooked English and a lovely coffee. A friendly welcome for both me and my dog who enjoyed his treat.

This was a lovely surprise, as it seems to have changed hands from years ago. The menu catered for everyone, the staff friendly and looked like they really enjoy there job! It right by the beach.

Best Victoria sponge I’ve ever had. Absolutely amazing cakes, freshly made. Really lovely and friendly place to visit. Hot chocolate was massive!!!!!!!!

After much research and tasting,I can honestly say this is the best coffee in the south of England. The food is fresh and fantastic, I can highly recommend the Hallumi flatbreads and the cakes…….. so much choice!!!! All delicious, the only hard part is choosing which one to have!

In the interests of full disclosure I am a coffee snob and will only drink decent ground coffee, so thought we’d give Cabana a go, as we’ve walked past it many times and it looked a lovely independently owned coffee cabin. Sadly the coffee was awful and whilst I hate to admit it we ended going up to Tesco Express which is a further 20 meters up the road and grabbed a Costa.

Amazing service and customer care. Nothing was too much to ensure my husband’s food allergies were catered for. The food is delicious - the wraps amazing. And the coffee is excellent. Our go to place in westward ho!

Great option for breakfast. Takeaway or eat under a small sheltered area. The best coffee we've had in North Devon this week and a very good scrambled egg / veggie breakfast. Super friendly staff and really good service

It’s amazing how good something so simple can be. We shared a cheese and ham toastie and had a couple of lattes. Everything was perfect, great quality ingredients, well prepared, and lovely service.

Lovely little permanent and busy eatery, just up the slope from the beach. Grab a hot drink and bite to eat from the Cabana. Food excellent, staff hospitable and good value for money. Limited seating to just watch the world go by and Westward Ho! come to life!

We were looking for somewhere to sit outside but with some cover as the weather forecast was dreadful and some of our party were vulnerable due to COVID. The Cabana was perfect. The food was brilliant and so too was the coffee. (I don't recommend the brownies with were dry, but I guess you can't have everything!! 😊 ) There were 6 of us one day and nine the next and we were a happy cheerful crowd which was helped by the great staff and prompt service. The vegetarians amongst us said that it was the best food they'd had from a cafe for years. The menu is varied and so were the drinks on offer including smoothies. Well, worth a visit. We loved it and will head there again on another trip.

My absolute favourite place to go for a coffee and cake stop after a long walk on the beach at Westward Ho! With outside seating and some seats under cover, for shelter from the rain or welcome shade in the summer. Service is always friendly and welcoming. Top of my list is the date and walnut slice - 5* delicious! Great value and a lovely place to sit and people watch. Highly recommended.

What an amazing find! We went for lunch me my wife and mum. What a wonderful lunch my wife had the humus and I had the barji both were incredibly tasty and value for money, mum had the bacon bap and we all finished with a flat white. The owners were very helpful and friendly, will defenatly return 👍 .

This cafe is grossly overpriced for what is on offer. The coffee is good. The food is very mediocre to say the least.

Visited for second year now. Went back twice the same week with my 8 year old daughter. She loves the chocolate orange cookies. Coffee is the best in Westward Ho ! Really friendly owners make it more personal. Will always go there first now.

This coffee makes decafe coffee from beans rather than ground coffee & it is delicious. Returned several times as not only the food and coffee good the couple running the cafe were welcoming & pleasant, it was great service.

We've been going here for years, the food is always good, great veggi and vegan options and the breakfasts are big and satisfying, plus cheap for the area. Big plus is that you can get a takeaway and go to the beach if the weather...

I can't fault this place, the people are very pleasant and efficient, the food is superb and the tea and coffee were the nicest by far. We will go back there next time we are in westward ho.

Simply brilliant, The best coffee in Westward Ho! Hands down and the friendliest service you could ask for. It's a daily stop off for either breakfast or lunch when we are in the HO! Their repeat business and the queues reaching out along the road...

Falafel salad ordered was ok but for £6.50 and only 3 falafels in the box was a bit tight. Very slow service, took 30 minutes to receive by which point the rest of my family had finished their lunch from other fast food take outs....

Hidden amongst the amusement arcades and random shops selling tat you will find the Cabana cafe, fantastic food, great coffee and excellent staff. It looks basic but is anything but!! Westward Ho is also a great resort once you get past the dodgy 70’s seaside town in the rain bit and out on to the amazing beach and explore some of the local coastal walks.

Heard so many good reviews. Couldn’t wait to try. Sadly haven’t been back yet. Ordered takeout coffee and food. It took ages I felt not because they were busy but down to lack of organisation. The veggie/vegan sausage baps were awful. Really old school vegetarian sausage. So many great brands on the market now it’s a shame. Really disappointed overall:(

Good coffee great food. Can be a bit of a wait but as they say its made fresh and I think its worth the wait. Even the carrot in my wrap tasted as if it had just been grated!

Really friendly little caff serving takeaways and also serves you at some outside seating. Based on the toasted paninis we had they seem to use really high quality ingredients, not bog-standard cafe fayre, the bacon in the bacon and brie toastie was nice, thick-cut butcher quality. Throw in the friendly service and this is a cracking choice for lunch on the beach.

we had lunch there on Thursday 8th and the wraps were large and delicious and the coffee was excellent. Best of all the service was very friendly and we would definitely recommend it very highly. And some great vegetarian choices too.

Very lovely place, making the most of a funny little corner in Ho! Fantastically friendly and accommodating hosts - could not be more helpful or lovely- providing a great selection of cafe grub. Can be a bit slow- but recently seem to have got this sorted. Breakfasts are brill ~ look forward to trying lunch options - amazing selection for such a tiny kitchen. ❤️❤️❤️

Excellent coffee and pastries, polite friendly service

Had an amazing lunch here. Their vegan menu is outstanding. The giant flatbreads were truly giant, and the fillings were hearty and saucy. They also do great flapjacks.

Had the onion bhaji flatbread and a cheese toasty. The Onion bhaji flatbread was full of rice, mango chutney, cucumber,onion bhajis, chickpeas and salad. Big portions and a great price. Try it you wont be disappointed.

Have spent a week surfing on Westward Ho! Beach and have been delighted by the excellent coffee (oat flat white) and exceptional service. The vegan date flapjack was the best cake ever! I just need to get into the town centre Cabana to try the hot food next time. Love Cabana, will be back! Thanks

Have popped in a couple of times and had the flatbreads. My favourite so far is the onion Bhaji! All the ingredients tasted so lovely and fresh, huge portion, and really friendly quick service too. Highly recommended!

Stopped off twice for a latte and a tea , latte nice an hot an we was made very welcome, our two dogs got a treat aswel,will be back in June happy days

We had a selection of wraps and coffee for our lunch today. It was all delicious. Everyone enjoyed their lunch. The falafel and halloumi were a favourite. Service was super friendly. We will be back!!

Best coffee and cake in Westwsrd Ho!

Tucked away but worth looking for the coffee is some of the best in North Devon and the brownies and blondies are amazing. Friendly staff who like to chat, if you want a stroll along the beach with a coffee this is the place to go. Don't overlook this gem!!

This is a little, unpretentious, jewel of a place where you can get what I can only describe as a bloody good coffee. From the road it doesn’t look promising until you see the smile that welcomes you even in these C19 days. Hot rolls and paninis are generously filled and flavoursome.I have it on good authority that the Hot Chocolate is also worth a try.

Ate here most days during our 2 week holiday, couldn't fault it, food is fantastic and owner is very friendly and will happily accommodate any request even if not on the menu, cannot recommend highly enough

I have used Cabana a few times over the years but feel compelled today to give a review. After we had the worst ever dining experience of our lives over the road at “Slice Of Life” and the worst latte I’ve ever had, it was a welcome relief to walk across the road to Cabana. The service is fantastic, the vibe is great, always served with a smile and made to feel as though your custom is appreciated. They’re good people with good food and good coffee and it’s at a fantastic price and served in such a pleasant way. We highly recommend Cabana, please don’t be put off by the fact their premises looks small because their quality and service is second to none. It is also worth taking note that their van on the burrows is just as fantastic and we’ve used it numerous times. All the best with university, thanks for reminding how a latte should taste and we will se you again soon!

Cabana is a little coffee shop with a big personality - nothing is too much trouble, always a friendly smile and a chat whatever the weather. I always come here whenever I’m in the village - a walk and a flat white (one of the best I’ve ever tasted)! Try Cabanas - you won’t regret it!

Lots of similar cafes in Westwood Ho! and we have tried then all. The Cabana Cafe rates in the top 2 in our minds. It has a good menu for its size. Produces excellent food/drinks at very competitive and reasonable prices. Thw combination of great value for money, good service and friendly staff that are keen to please makes this a good choice for refreshments for both locals and visitors. Keep it up.

This is more a review of the small truck they have on the Burrows... But it's owned by the same people, so thought I'd review their little truck.The coffee is spot on, served in compostable cups, and really quite nice. Their service is fantastic, even when it's busy, they're chatty and very friendly (as you'd expect from locals).Always try to pop down when visiting the family and my old haunts!Thanks for the lovely coffee this morning

Lovely coffee shop, we have eaten here for a few years on our holidays and always look forward to returning. Nothing is too much trouble and fussy children have always been catered for. Food, coffee and cakes are all delicious. Would highly recommend.

I have travelled Florence, Rome, Venice, Sorrrento, and Sicily, and have yet to find such exquisite service as Westward Ho!'s Cabana! The customer service is exemplary, the food and drink unparalleled, and the prices extraordinary! Always our number one choice for food and drink at the Ho! 🙂

If you come to Westward Ho! Make sure you visit Cabana... The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food is lovely, cakes amazing and coffee fab. Can't rate this this little place enough... Bonus being, the little van on the burrows is their daughters and that's fab aswell...

Having sampled a number of cafes in the area, The Cabana has by far the best coffee in the area.They also serve a mean bacon bap with the dogs also being treated to a dog biscuit.Staff are very friendly with the family also having the coffee van further down the beach.
