Had dinner in party of 3, one with walking difficult. There&#039;s a high step, but the patron was very helpful so no problem. Two of us had just returned from Lebanon, found food just like or better than much we had come to appreciate in Beirut and Baalbek. Particularly liked their version of Parsley salad (Tabouli). One partial exception was Kibbe which was presented in rather flat strips rather than the egg shapes we had got used to and which we had liked better.<br />Staff friendly and obliging. Altogether a good evening. For a Lebanese experience in London, defintely to be recommended.

By far one of the worst restaurants I have ever been too for couple of reasons;1. If you have signed up with 'Taste Card' you would usually check to see if the restaurants offers the weekend deals. For example they would specify that the offer does not include Friday's and Saturdays. However, before hand we checked out the restaurant and they offered the taste card on the weekend too. We called to double check and they said they offer It so we went ahead and booked the table.2. Got there and we were ready to order our mains. The waiter forced us to order starters when we said we did not want any. He said you have to order starters each which was ridiculous. After ordering what we didn't want he then charged us as normal and did not include my discount card. When we asked them about this he was extremely rude and said you can't use the card on the weekend. BASICALLY THEY LIED On the website and LIED on the phone.Poor quality of food!!!I honestly do not recommend this to anyone guys!!!

Visited Byblos Bay with my wife. I had read the excellent reviews and we both were a fan of meze so it was certainly worth a visit. Not being to familiar with the area I was surprised to find that it was located on a quiet part of Finchley Road and parking was easy.I was also surprised to find the restaurant empty upon our arrival, especially considering the reviews it has had. We were however, warmly welcomed and initial impressions were good. As we are both vegetarian, we ordered an array of veg starters and two mains. While the standard must be considered good it was by no means outstanding, the houmous was very yoghurt like and while it may be a type that I have not previously had it did slightly lack in flavour. The salad was excellent on its own and also as a compliment to our mains which was enormous! It you are coming to this restaurant be sure to be very hungry as you will certainly leave full!We sampled the Baklava at the end and this was excellent. Overall, if you are in the area, Byblos Bay is worth a visit but is by no means outstanding when compared to other notable restaurants in London serving Arabic cuisine.

We picked Byblos Bay based on the TA ranking. To say it was a let down is an understatement. We found the whole experience a mediocre at best - any nearby Middle eastern restaurant would have been a better choice. It's a small restaurant that looks quite nice. We had booked which was clearly not necessary - were one of three occupied tables for the evening. The one waiter was ok, though not the most engaging or friendly. Mezze starter options were the usual - and fine; main courses were sub standard - blackened (in the bad sense) lamb, dried out chicken... No mustard or chilli and when were ordered a second bottle of sparkling water, they had run out.On the up side, at least it didn't cost a bomb.Certainly not worth going out of your way for.

Don't get me wrong, this is a great little restaurant and the food was great, but at the time of writing it is 88 of the 18,000+ restaurants in London - possibly slightly overblown and if people make a decision to visit it on the basis it's in the 'top 100' they might be a bit disappointed. The calamari was excellent and grilled meats rich and flavoursome. Whilst the service was polite and courteous, it was a shame to see the one waiter struggling with all the tables himself (which led to interrupted service and some occasional slowness) when the other guys were hidden out the back (possibly because they were getting more involved with the cooking of the food).I'd go back if I happened to be in the area, but I wouldn't cross more than a couple of zones to get their especially!

I went to Byblos Bay on Dec 30th with my husband and we took two friends with us. We had a fabulous meal. One of our guests liked it so much that she booked for a party. We used to live close to Byblos Bay, but we moved away a year ago. We now try and go to this restaurant whenever we are in London and the food was as delicious as ever, and freshly cooked. The aubergine dish was so amazing that I was reluctant to share it with the others at the table, and we all loved every dish we chose, the chicken just melted in the mouth. The owner was friendly and welcoming and we had a lovely evening. I like the new decor and the place is looking great as well as providing wonderful food.

Three of us went for lunch to this cosy restaurant and we all enjoyed the food and the charming service. They have a good selection of Lebanese wine and the food is tasty and freshly cooked. It's very good value, we had a la carte, but they also have a very reasonably priced lunch menu. Really pleased to have found this restaurant (thanks to tripvadvisor) as now we don't have to go into town if we want to have Lebanese food.

We went to Byblos Bay last week in order to have some Lebanese wine and we liked the restaurant so much that decided to have dinner there. We ordered 4 starters (lebanese sausages, houmous, fatoush and batata harra) and 2 main courses (king pranws and mousakaat). The food was absolutely delicious, the service was great (the owner himself spent some time talking to us, which shows how much this business cares about its customers) and it was value for money.I really recommend this restaurant!

This is a small, cosy restaurant with a really friendly, helpful owner. The food is really excellent, we especially love the mezzes. We loved the Moujadara Bi Zelt and Moussekaat Batinjan. Also the hummus is to die for, George the owner makes it himself to a special recipe of his own.The service here is excellent, they go out of their way to make their guests comfortable and happy. There is a pleasant atmosphere with background music. As it is in a quiet area they don't get much passing trade, but anyone who tries it will not be disappointed. A gem of a local which we expect to frequent often.

This little Lebanese pearl provided me with a well worthy tasting experience! I went with a friend and we decided to have starters only so we could get a bit of everything. We had eight different dishes. The gold medals goes to Makanek, the tasty mini Lebanese lamb sausages with pine nuts but I would also recommend the Moussakaat Batinjan among others. The restaurant is also a cool venue for private parties with a well equipped underground room.Great food, great service and above all, very authentic Lebanese flavours!

Food was very good. In my opinion good restaurants distinguish themselves when something goes wrong and how they handle it. Something went wrong beyond their control and they communicated and handled the situation superbly.

I had heard this restaurant was ‘really nice’, I dined here this week with my family and as fellow Greeks we are disappointed with our experience. The food is ok (overcooked to be honest) and it is WAY overpriced! £17 for chicken souvlakia (gyros not on the menu but they don’t mention this until you’re there). It doesn’t come with chips or salad. They claim is comes with salad - you get 1/4 slice tomato, 2 thin rings of onion and 2 slices of cucumber sliced into quarters. We actually asked ‘where is the salad?’ and we were told that was it..I’m sure they knew that’s not a salad, anyone who has been to Greece or Cyprus would know this isn’t how we give salad!! Moving on..if there are 8 people on the table and you serve two tiny portions of pitta bread that is cut in quarters so not even forming a whole pitta - that is. Or enough. You size the portion according to how many people are eating and you certainly don’t charge extra for more bread (they did and Nissi doesn’t do this). Our total bill was over £200 and it was not worth it at all, we only booked here because Nissi is now closed on Tuesdays and thought let’s try somewhere new instead of Deserie - a mistake. It also shouldn’t be £4.50 for a Coke Zero! Service was ok, a tad slow considering we were the only people in their dining. Overall whoever is reading this, don’t bother, I wouldn’t go back. Go to Nissi, they have a much bigger menu, friendlier staff, better atmosphere and much better value for money! Oh and also, they tried to mark my reservation on open table as a ‘no show’ because I left a review…I have my receipt so don’t try that!
