We like to go to independent cafes and were visiting Wantage today. Lovely friendly service, generous portions with wide selection of food to suit all tastes. I had the cheese ploughman's which consisted of 4 pieces of cheddar, mixed leaves, red pepper, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, homemade chunky coleslaw, pickled onions, pickle, baguette with butter. My husband had chicken and bacon jacket potato with salad. both dishes very generous and very reasonable total £16 with drinks.

My family and I, popped into the Buzz Cafe in Wantage for a pick-me-up, after driving 2.5hrs from the South Coast for a family funeral. We were served by a lovely, bubbly lady (Forces) who made us feel very welcome considering the day. Lovely food, lovely atmosphere, and the lady even made a donation to the Royal British Legion, a charity that was close to our family members heart. She wished it could have been more, but the gesture itself was beautiful, and so heartfelt. Thankyou for your warmth and generosity. The Hickman's.

Walk a couple of minutes from the Market Place, and you come to this lovely little café. The staff are welcoming, and there is a good range of vegan food (both sweet and savoury), as well as plenty for meat eaters. I thoroughly enjoyed the ‘pulled pork’ (jackfruit) fab, which was served with salad and with vegan cheese and vegan mayonnaise also on offer. I was also invited to try one of the jackfruit ‘sausage‘ rolls - far tastier than the Greggs version! And all extremely good value. I will definitely visit again.

Visited the Buzz Cafe in Wantage today with some friends. We all agreed it was a welcome change to the industrial, robotic experience we’re normally used to at the supermarket based eateries. Warm, friendly atmosphere, great food & the best hot chocolate in the county. Love the fact dogs are welcome. Has now become our cafe of choice. Give it a go.

Haven't been before. The exterior isn't appealing (to me) and implies (to me) that it's a very basic cafe. Therefore I have always walked past thinking it was other than it actually is. But now I've been in it is very good and much 'smarter' than the outside would suggest. So I should not judge a book by it's cover !! Good staff, very friendly & efficient. Not the surly youngsters you sometimes find elsewhere. Good breakfast - good selection - reasonable prices and so good value. Impressed.

We visited The Buzz cafe because they offer vegan options and I was really impressed with how thorough the staff were about letting us know the butter and cream etc were vegan without me having to ask, which I really appreciate. There were a lot of plant based milk options available for milkshakes and the vegan breakfast itself was really tasty- it felt like a proper meal rather than just a standard English breakfast minus the meat and eggs, which is the only vegan option at some other cafes. We'll definitely return to try their other options!

The soup is tasteless - no sign of salt or pepper.. the half sandwich is made from the dryest bread I've ever been served (its a basics supermarket white loaf), no spread on it and the contents more on the plate than in the sandwich.
