Buyers Club in Liverpool

Dined here with my wife Easter weekend after seeing the TopJaw guys had recommended. Front of house was a little abrupt while looking for our booking on the computer. We were then seated. We had the lasagne bites to start, and shared the duck orchiaetta ragu and a pizza. Everything was just bang average in taste, quality and portion size. Food was under seasoned and the pizza was nothing to shout home about. Credit to the waitress for at least asking what we thought so gave her honest feedback. As a gesture of goodwill, they knocked 10% off the final bill which was nice. Was expecting more from the food, but there was no ompffff or wow factor. Left still hungry and shared another pizza at Rudys down the road!

Absolutely abysmal attitude off the staff. Never been in before, and thought this is a new gem which somehow I've missed. We went in and stood at the bar. The bar man's attitude was so arrogant upon tell us we need to have a table it's table service only. Upon asking how to get a table, he told us to wait in a non existent queue. We sat down while waiting for the hostess to table us. She immediately came over asking what the hell done think we are doing sitting down. I replied, waiting in the queue, to which we where very arrogantly told that she was the Head of the queue. Never been treated like this in any bar in liverpool before, the staffs attitude was awful and ill never return again. Arrogance isn't strong enough to describe them. It's such a shame as the bar looked amazing.

Shocking arrogance of the bar staff ensured that we left immediately. I have no idea why we were spoken to like we were, but needless to say we won’t ever go back.

Lovely, friendly staff. Food was delightful as always. My partner is not usually impressed by restaurant food and he thoroughly enjoyed it and said he would make the journey to town (30 mins) just for this food!

Love this place! Great for drinks outside in the summer, lovely atmosphere inside at night for a date night/catch up with friends. Gorgeous pasta, cheesey garlic pizza bread is so good it haunts me. Staff are really helpful and accommodating of babies too, went today for lunch with 4 friends + 4 babies and they were so helpful with prams and high chairs etc

A true gem in Liverpool. My friend and I sat indoors and were greeted with lovely and quick service. We ordered the mushroom pasta, focaccia and whipped ricotta, and house salad. All was spectacular. The pasta was homemade and made it the best meal I’d had in Liverpool during my week stay. Plus we ordered two glasses of orange wine and a chocolate tart to finish, which was delectable. If I lived here, I’d make this a regular spot! Highly recommend for locals and travelers alike.

Excellent service and food - spaghetti was amazing, fresh and tasty, this isnt a cheap eats restaurant but you get what you pay for and i would rather pay for lovely quality food and drinks. The staff were amazing, friendly and informative. Nice menu choices and nice wines and beers.

Booked for lunch whilst visiting the University. Buyer’s Club was a very pleasant surprise. Off the street and down a passage and you will find a wonderful oasis. Food was amazing, service was friendly and attentive, atmosphere was wonderful. Didn’t want to leave. I highly recommend one of their pizzas - but I want to return to try everything else on the menu too.

went Thursday heard it was nice not over hungry so picked the buyers board was very disappointed bit of meat plonked on the board two tinest pieces of cheese that were rock hard could not cut it and one piece of bread cut in half all for £16 pound was really disappointed need to rethink the content of this as very much overpriced this has no reflection on the two waitresses who were lovely not there fault would not return due to the over inflated prices and small amount of food

Lovely restaurant with a great courtyard. The food and wine is fantastic, fresh pasta pizza and not just your standard classics, really unique flavours and combinations. I had the sausage pasta dish. My partner had duck pasta. Nice selection of wines.

Best vegetarian pizza I've had in quite a while. Really good veggie options on the menu.

Wild mushroom tagliolini is really good.

Food's not bad if you don't mind yapping dogs.

Service was great, the food came just at the right time, the suggested wine dandelion Malbec, perfect. Specials on the menu a real treat, unexpected ingredients and perfect execution. Buyers club is a ten.

Booked a table of 20, which was a very easy process and the waiters were very attentive, even filling up our water jugs without us asking. The food was very good- everyone enjoyed. The tiramisu was a firm favourite for everyone

A few weeks ago, my wife, sister, nephew, and I dined at this somewhat concealed gem tucked away in an alley. Contrary to expectations, the restaurant is surprisingly spacious and modern. The staff was accommodating, though the man with long hair had an unusual distracting wavy walk. Service, overall, was commendable. The menu, of a reasonable size, caters to various diets. For starters, we tried the buyer's house arancini, lasagna bites, and crushed new potatoes. The arancini was good, but the portion seemed a bit stingy with only one piece. The lasagna bites and tatties, however, were enjoyable. As for mains, my wife had the margarita pizza, which was good but possibly lacking in tomato sauce. My sister opted for the roast squash pizza, which didn't impress either of us. Personally, I chose the Cavalo nero, egg yolk, and spaghetti, finding it absolutely delicious and a standout among the other mains. Overall, I'd rate the restaurant a 3/5. The venue's spaciousness, accommodating staff, and a mix of good and average food made it a decent experience, though we found it slightly on the pricey side.

Went for my daughters 16th birthday, we all really enjoyed it. My son's pizza was missed out waitress sorted quickly and took off the bill. Also brought out a slice of cake with a candle for my daughter at no extra charge. Great service, delicious food and great atmosphere.

A little bit disappointed after being recommended here by friends. Charcuterie sharing board was very small (2 pieces of edam, 2 pieces of bread and some meat) for £16 and cutlery was dirty. Pizza was fine. Seemed like a nice atmosphere but maybe better for just drinks.

First visit here after recommended by friends. What a lovely restaurant. Busy but the service was excellent. We loved the food. And can’t wait to come back.

Visited this place a few times whilst in Liverpool and can honestly say it’s become one of our favourite places to have a drink. We stumbles across The Buyers Club purely by accident on our way to the Philharmonic Hall and really glad we decided to pop in for a drink before the show. Great and very professional service ever time we’ve been. Lovely atmosphere, especially the outside seating area. We’ve only ever had drinks here but the food passing our table looked amazing. Highly recommend.

Amazing staff everyone was really nice and food surprised me so much, vegan pizzas are normally under whelming but these guys have it mastered and the pasta was heavy 💯

Really cool spot to have a nice meal and a few drinks. Food was delicious (I had the Beef Shin ragu and my friend had a Drunk Norma pizza). The staff there were just so lovely. All were super friendly and nailed that tricky thing of getting it just right with how often they were attentive and how often they just let you be. Nice selection of drinks for afterwards too. General ambience was great. If I had to be really picky and find a fault, the only thing I would change would be to maybe have one or two more options on both the pasta and pizza menus. Maybe a chilli free version of a couple of their courses that have a lot of chilli but that is just me being picky as I loved the food I chose, my friend loved what he had and we had a really enjoyable evening there

Disappointing experience. Pizza's luke-warm, yet over-cooked. We hunted out this restaurant arriving early on a Monday (16:30). The place was very quiet, so a great chance to see the courtyard flowers which are really impressive. A big space inside and out. Other reviews, said the best pizza ever, so we were expecting something special.... only to be very disappointed. Staff were perhaps on their break,, but given the place was empty, our service was lacklustre. When the pizzas arrived, they looked good, but were luke-warm and over-cooked at the crust,.... like they had been sitting around for 10 mins while the waiting staff were busy elsewhere.... Other pizzas served to our group were better, looks like we got the duff ones... Shame.

Great restaurant - really accommodating place for a big group of us (we were 11) and unreal food. The mushroom pasta was especially outstanding, and every dish my friends had that I was able to try a piece of was equally delicious. Great portion sizes for the price too. Would definitely go back/recommend!

Lovely place with nice atmosphere and attentive service. Food was disappointing, though. Drunk Norma pizza was tasteless and a bit dry; 'Nduja pasta had a strong fennel seeds taste, but you couldn't taste the 'nduja. I wouldn't recommend this place if you are after good food.

First time visiting and I’m quite taken aback at how good it was! Without doubt one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. The service was perfect. Great wine menu and equally great ambiance. Can’t record enough!

Ate here on Saturday and cannot fault any of it. If you are looking for really good food, some quirky cocktails and lovely service, this is the place to go. Some of the best food I’ve had in a long time !!

This is the second time Iv been to Buyers club. It has really good pasta/pizza. Excellent , quick service.

Served spawning oysters, would not recommend ordering oysters from here. The chef should know better than just to assume their customers will be ok with eating spawning oysters

I went to the buyers club for my birthday meal and really enjoyed it, lovely atmosphere and decor as well as a great outdoor seating area which would be amazing in the sun. Food was fabulous and I would really recommend the chilli prawn spaghetti. Thanks for a great evening!

We had a lovely lunch here. The venue is tucked away on Hardman St and it looks very welcoming and funky. It's a converted warehouse whch looks fab but can get a bit noisy if some of the guests are loud families, which they were when we were there! Food is good, I had tasty belly pork to start then an al dente & very tasty prawn with garlic dish, my friend had brilliant arancini and a delicious risotto. The wine list was short but affordable and with good selections. Liverpool portions! You won't leave hungry. Service is friendly and relaxed. I woudl be happt to go there again.

Not as good as I’m told it used to be. Both the pasta dishes went back? Surely not the most difficult thing to get wrong. The rest of the food was good, drinks good and reasonable value. My daughter who goes regularly says that the chef has changed, not for the better it seems.

Despite being busy they found me a great table. Service was chilled and friendly and the food was great.

My husband and I came to buyers club before going to see a show. We had a terrible time and are so disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful but the service was just so poor. It took ages for my husbands drink to arrive. My pasta dish arrived put my partners pizza still hadn’t. We had to wait a long time before we even saw a waiter/ waitress to ask where the pizza was and she said it would take a further 15mins? Meanwhile my pasta dish was getting cold… she did not offer to get a new pasta dish and did not tell us why the pizza was taking so long. After 25- 30mins of waiting we asked for another pasta dish. The waitress was extremely rude and we will not be returning or recommending the restaurant.

Went for lunch Peggy served us. What a delightful waitress. Love the venue fab outdoor space undercover and heaters . Chilled vibe, amazing lunchtime deal half price pasta pizza . how fantastic is that when prices are going up and here is the buyers club helping us out. I’m 6 months pregnant and met some some friends here. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad. It took over an hour for any food to come. But mine never came. Even though I was the only person on the table without food, none of the waiting staff thought to check if that was correct. Half an hour later my friend asked where it was- it hadn’t been put through. Which is fine it happens. When it came it was terrible. It was a plate of lettuce with watery chicken and heaps and heaps of parmesan. And that’s it. It didn’t even have the dressing on it. So disappointing. The only saving grace was a male waiter who initially sat us outside and when realising I was pregnant found a table for us inside and carried everything in for me.

Pretty awful. Although the wine list was extensive the food menu was limited to half a dozen options. It wasn't possible to have a side salad. My chicken Caesar salad was awful, mainly a plate of lettuce. Service poor. We would have had a dessert...

We visited today . Son had the spaghetti and king prawns. It was Ok.The spaghetti was hard. I had the croquettes. They were OK , not great. They did offer some bread but then over chaarged us. We asked for tap water it never came....

Really nice vibe here, lovely cocktails and great selection of wines too. We tried 2 different pasta dishes with the lamb ragu being a highlight. Defo recommend for a chilled evening, especially if the weather is nice as outside area beautiful.

My daughter and I had dinner at the Buyers Club last night and it was absolutely delicious. We have been talking about the butter beans with lamb all day and wanting to replicate it at home, but knowing that it would not be as good....

Superb alternative place for a meeting, quick meal, family lunch or dinner. The food menu evoque mediterran flavours are very close to authentique Italian cuisine. This was my first meeting and dinner. The parpadelle came with a delicious lamb sauce, my friend had melanzane alla parmigiana, desert was the same and fabulously tasty

Love it here. Pasta and pizza made fresh. So flavoursome and beautiful interior and exterior - really friendly staff too. Their pasta is definitely one of the best I’ve had in liverpool!

Went here this evening. Atmosphere great and lovely and warm inside BUT drinks overpriced and dont even have proper gin glasses. Hard school type chairs and supposedly 'sharer' meal of goats cheese, beetroot and rocket sold a £8 was tiny and didnt have rocket on it!! Pizzas seem good vie for money though. Really feel that the pricing is way off so wont be going again. Shame really as nice building.

This place is a lovely little hidden gem! The outdoor seating area is beautiful and feels like a Greek taverna. The facilities were great too with free sanitary products, which is always a mark of a classy place to me. No complaints :)

Had a lovely roast with five friends - relaxed atmosphere, great service and the food itself was amazing - would highly recommend!

Great atmosphere, as soon as you walk into the building you feel happier than you did previously. The staff are helpful and always happy to see you. Superb selection of drinks and the food looks incredible. I've not been for food yet but it's definitely on my to-do list!

The food was absolutely amazing. Super quick and friendly service! I asked for a different type of pasta to what was offered and this was provided. Will 100% be returning and recommending. Jake was a star!

We popped along here whilst staying in Liverpool for a couple of days. Plan was to have some wine and then head elsewhere for a meal. We ended up staying as we enjoyed it so much. A cold Monday in January and it soon filled up. The staff were warm, friendly and enthusiastic about the wine. The choice of wine was excellent. The food was the surprise, I had a lamb belly pizza which was absolutely delicious and my wife had a Ragu which she said was excellent. Really good place.

Attractive inside and out. Great for food or just drinks in the courtyard. Pizzas and pasta are lovely and on offer in January so get in while you can! Service takes a while when it's busy and dessert is on the small side so leaves you wanting more. Otherwise no complaints!

Spent a lovely afternoon here today. Staff exceptional as was the food. Such a lovely chilled restaurant with a great ambiance. Highly recommend.

Delicious food, great authentic taste

Impeccable. Always my first choice to take anybody in Liverpool. Both low key relaxed affordability and high end quality; just a pity that their Octopus restaurant next door has gone.

Absolutely lovely meal. The food was great and the serving staff were even better. When told the food would take a little longer they offered us free bread while we waited. Would definitely come again, couldn't reccomend enough.

Great food and drinks. Would recommend for laid back summer time drinks as the courtyard is lovely.

My favourite spot in Liverpool. The vibe was as good as ever, super friendly staff. The best plate of pasta in town. It's as simple and as complicated as that (complicated because not many places get it right). The riocha is fit too.Keep doing what you are doing guys n galls. Will be back soon

V cool place and great service. Big group of us sat outside under the heaters - excellent vibe. Sadly, the food was oily, not v tasty, and overpriced. I would definitely recommend for drinks, and overall did work well for a large group who lingered, but the food let it down

Met with a friend for a catch up. The food was super authentic and delicious, probably one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever eaten! Also a good selection of cocktails and wines available. Would highly recommend coming here for a good meal.

Ate here sept 2021 and enjoyed it. Not thd greatest of food choices but what they did, they did well. Great outdoor seating area. Worth a punt.

Visited before going the Phil for a show. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Ordered sharing starter but to be honest it would serve one. The pizza here is unreal. Pepperoni chilli jam was out of this world. Missus ordered the king prawn pasta which was lovely. Only gripe is the price of the beer which for what what was on offer - was way too pricey.

Lovely visit. During outdoor seating mid pandemic. Although slightly slow at first, our main waitress although new starter was super friendly and efficient. The pasta is amazing and so flavoursome and the price is so good for what you get!
