Busaba Eathai in Hackney

Service was very good and quick would visit again and again one of my favourite restaurants

I used to love Busaba. It was reliable, well priced, decent Thai. And then something changed. Some things are inedible (green curry, sticky rice) and some things are barely ok (calamari, papaya salad, chicken satay), but nothing is good. A Thai restaurant that can’t make decent pad Thai? Come on! 😭

Quality of food was on point and waitresses were kind! Great atmosphere, nice decor.

Really tasty food and Daria was a great server.

Overpriced for the quality and quantity of food. The noodles dish wasn't much more than some tasty bits on a bed of supernoodles. Pretty disappointed.

I really enjoyed my 🍤 Prawn and Tofu Pad Thai, it had lovely flavour and it was great portion size for the price. £13 as a lunch time special 😋 I look forward to going back again.

Fantastic dining experience on a quiet Tuesday evening. Noel was excellent, super professional and attentive and made a great drink recommendation. The food was absolutely fire, overall I loved the experience 10/10

Just had to get a refund on my green chicken curry. I can honestly say a ready meal would have more flavour. There were 3 tiny slivers of grey chicken, with a foul taste. The sauce is a crazy illuminous green colour, like something out of Ghostbusters. God knows what kind of dye they are putting in there. Utterly pointless and the worst green curry I have ever had. I've spent 6 months in Thailand so I know what it's meant to taste like. If the rest of the food is like this then I would strongly suggest you avoid it. Portion was tiny for nearly £18. That's just the curry alone.

Calamari was so deliciouse , Its like bit of gravy which I really like. Gauva melting my mouth , Really they done it so well. Good job Busaba.

Thanks to the team for hosting us. This was my second time at Busaba Hoxton Square and I’ve been impressed each time. Professional from the point of booking to paying the bill. We had a group of c.20 and the team looked after us really well. The dishes were varied and reliably delicious with enough to feed the team. Staff were friendly and very conscientious when communicating allergies, remembering specifically who needed to be informed. The price was reasonable for the level of food, drinks and service which we were happy with. I look forward visiting again

We must have come on a bad day (Sunday 3pm) - only 1 server - slightly indifferent- Have eaten well at Busaba before - came especially for the Calamari - but we were both disappointed - everything - I mean everything was DRY !!! - sad Update: - You invite us to return to Busaba ‘and fall in love with it again’ - You are in a state of delusion if you think we will return - Besides the underwhelming below average food offering - and the indifferent service - the price for this was OBSCENE- 2 starters - 2 Mains - 2 Beers = £100 - ONE HUNDRED POUNDS!! - (for effectively some spring rolls - a bowl of rice and some beer - )

I usually come to this busaba hence why the extra star and its usually tasty however I had a classic pad thai today and I contracted food poisoning. Its a bit concerning as the food came extremely quick. The pad thai in this branch has deterred me from coming here again, really disappointing.

Perfect dining experience at this establishment! A friendly atmosphere, delicious food that is equally gorgeous, and most importantly, our attentive I appreciate this dinner 😊.

Just ate here and wish I could give more. Everything else was nice, starter and drinks were good, server fantastic (Daria unless the name on the bill is wrong). Unfortunately my sirloin steak was practically inedible, literally the toughest steak I've had. Was overcooked as well but I can tell that wasn't even the problem, just bad steak. I would have sent it back but it was already late and honestly couldn't wait for another main. I would give 3 stars, but the steak was a quarter of the cost of the bill and really should have been better. Everything else was honestly perfect

.They were always on time and finished the job when they promised. Their service was excellent and their cleaned up after the job was complete was excellent. It was really a great experience to dine at Hoxton busaba.. I ordered Yam pak chicken and calamari, it was so yumm.. If you are alone, i would suggest the window table. its really nice. The server Noel was also really nice to me. Thankks! 👍

I would strongly avoid take away from here. The portion size is laughable and the food very average. Far better options around.

Definitely the best Busaba in London. Great atmosphere with wonderful and friendly staff, specially Luna & Akhi were very attentive and helpful. Delicious thai food, generous portions, nice presentation, amazing cocktails. You can’t go wrong choosing this place. Highly recommend for Thai food lovers. We will definitely go back there to try more tasty dishes. Would give 10 stars if I only could!!!

Terrible experience, I go in this place all the time I come in London from 8/9 years ago. On August we see some changing on the quality of food , but I think is only one bad Day. Actually The quality of food is terrible, my lovely Pad Thai arrived like completely sticky and could and the tasting terrible. The service is confuse and slow. We order a sharing plate like starter and this is arrive at the end. Nothing change because only 2 type of this mix plate is possible to eat, the other orribile. The only positive is , they lose one plate on the order and this is arrive when we are finish to eat , and the manager delete this on the Bill, but also this is not on the good quality . Unfortunately this place go down on quality. Obviously I never come again. I hope you go back on you quality self f food , because I visit you for many time in many years and never I meet the situation like this.

Pad Thai was delicious. This is our first visit to Busaba. On arrival request a quieter place to seat, Noel didn’t hesitate to provide us a table. Good service will visit again for sure.

Today I have visited this store with my few friends. To be honest all the service provided was very excellent and the food was very delicious . Noel’s service was appreciatable.

We ordered the crab yellow curry, pork ribs, soup and beef noodles. The crab curry was tasty and the pork ribs were nice but cold by the time they arrived. The soup was salty to the point of being inedible and the beef was very tough on over cooked noodles. Unfortunately not the best experience for us. The waitress was nice and we did consider complaining about the soup as it clearly wasn't right but we were in a rush

The papaya salad was not fresh The vegetarian green curry was watery, taste less and with overcooked soft vegetables Sorry to say far below any average Thai restaurant

The server Daria almost knocked over my glass and didnt say anything, and when she was clearing my dishes, she dropped a spoon with curry on my pants and left

I’ve dined at Busaba before but none of my girls had, so I booked for table of 8, for an end of year celebration and a birthday. From the moment we arrived our waiter was wonderful. The restaurant was cozy, pretty and they reserved us a lovely area. Our waiter was accommodating to everything we needed. Plus the food and drinks were all great as always. Thank you Dervish for excellent service tonight, brining the cake and for a lovely evening.

The staff Daria is super friendly and considerate! Love the experience having dinner here.

Daria was a lovely host and made us feel very welcome. The environment is stunning, not too noisy but had a nice bustle. The food wasn’t as good as we remember; the Pad Thai was a little stodgy and under flavoured and the Thai Green Curry was also a little bland sadly. Portions are generous, just wish there was a bit more impact from the flavours. Still worth a visit.
