Burger Joe in Wirral

the cheese was on the bottom under the chips, there was barely any spring onion, the rashes of bacon looks grey and they was also a hair in my chips. Usually have really good chips from here but they weren’t good at all today.

Best burgers in town. Staff very friendly and helpful. Their milkshakes are to die for and put McD's to shame.

Ordered the bacon double cheeseburger and 2 mother cluckers Really average , doughy bun , not toasted in anyway . Tasteless burger with cold bacon bits in it . Chicken burgers were ok but again , doughy and not toasted bun , Loaded fries were pretty average aswell . Won’t be returning , waited a while to go as heard good things , won’t be going back ! Disappointed

A fantastic burger place with interesting and flavourful options. Reasonable pricing and milkshakes to DIE FOR! The salted caramel milkshake is out of this world! Service is always very good and has a brilliant ease of experience. A business that feels great to support!

Got takeout here, the food was not nice. Both chicken and beef burgers were big soggy piles, way too much overpowering cheese sauce and small blob of odd tasting bbq sauce. I was expecting something special since the menu is small and they are an only burger takeout. We both had iffy tummies after. £21 wasted! Not happy.

Been trying to call since 8.30 no ones took my order to collect. Get to the shop at 8.52 and they say there closed when there supposed to close at 9pm. Ive been a chef 8 years. They had everything switched off by 8.30 looking at the kitchen as the lad in there was mopping which is the last thing you do on a clean down. Everyone knows that in hospitality. Will be asking Google to change times to 8.30pm close as im a local guide.

Had a few good burger Joe's.. Last two was below standard.. Hard and very dry and the fries was uneventful for some reason the heat goes quickly, UPDATE. first time in over a year and it was spot on 👍

Rang an order got told 1 hr 30 mins . Just over 3 hrs now still no food delivered . Fella who answers the phone pretending he can’t hear us . Distgusting service . Absolutely fumin. Kids have fell asleep waiting .will never use them ever again . Avoid avoid avoid ………🤬😡

I ordered over the phone after hearing amazing reviews from friends. When they answered, I had to ask if I'd rang Burger Joe's as they just said 'hello' struggled taking my card details, failed to tell me there was a minimum delivery charge, so had to order extra on the spot. That being said, the food arrived quickly, was delicious and hot! Cannot fault the food one bit! Delivery driver was lovely too, very polite. I will definitely be a returning customer!!!!

Placed an order for collection. When I arrived they were running behind so had to wait 30 minutes for the burger and fries. When I got home I realised they had given me the wrong burger, so I rang them to advise. They said they would replace my order on my next visit as it was there error and I had paid for a more expensive burger. A few weeks later I rang to place another order, when I explained they checked and then tried to fob me off by saying they only honoured them for 6 weeks. I told them the date of my last order and she went and checked again but then said we have no record of that so we can't help. It wasn't even a decent burger and only went back to give them a second chance as it would have been free. Would rather have a burger king. Disappointing given the reviews I had red, was hoping for so much more.

Wow wow wow WOW such AMAZING CHIPS AND CHICKEN BURGERS. VERY approven by me only pet peeves is that it's so good it can be difficult to get delivery some nights due to everyone wanting it.

Amazing every time! Have tried lots of combinations. My fave is the sweet chesus. Always fresh & tasty when delivered. Worth the 100 calls to get through haha. Would be handy to have an online ordering option but perhaps that's part of the magic?

I'm a vegetarian so to find an amazing burger doesn't happen often but tonight I found a double pate battered Halloumi burger and it was amazing. The wait was an hour 40 but the food arrived hot. Crinkle chips come with it and they were lovely. Omg a non veggie would enjoy this meal also. 4/5 because of a long wait but totally worth it and the wait only proves its worth waiting for.. screw it I'm changing the stars to a 5 !!!

Not bad at all! The milkshakes were the best, and we loved the fried chicken tenders. The burgers were alright...our bacon double cheeseburger proper skimped out on the bacon - we had a tiny bit of the fatty part of the rasher. Defo not as advertised. Staff seem sound. Will be back again :)

Literally the best burger/ takeaway I’ve had in YEARS… Been bk twice already… Was gonna go again just now but was disappointed to find it’s not open again till 4pm 🥺

Highly recommended. My Freind brought me to this place to try their burgers. And I'm not lying their very good . Polite nice staff. Restaurant was cool inside. We didn't eat in but I was sad to see it not very busy on a Friday night being such a cool trendy place . Anyway highly recommended. Live in Bebington but I'll be back :)

So hard to order. No website. Menu only on Facebook. Can't find a number. Does the hoylake store deliver? New food items appear on their Facebook but not on their menu. Menu on Facebook hard to read (change the font!). So frustrating!! Edit to their reply - your hoylake store doesn't have a number, mate. It's the Moreton store, mate. Also, Facebook page as the website isn't great. Zoom in all you want, mate. You need to change the font, mate. It's fine to post specials, mate, just include a number mate. So tonight was the first order. WOW! Great food, perfect timing and tasted absolutely amazing. Value for money, I don't think you could find anywhere better! I would like to apologise, we didn't have any change for the driver! Next time guys, double tip! Seriously thank you. SPOT ON!

Went yesterday on a whim on the way to a sunset at the beach thought what's better than a sunset ... Nice food and a sunset Dirty fries are unreal Milkshakes just amazing Burger was just too nice Prices are competitive Staff are lovely and service was fantastic Food was done super quick Cannot fault this place I will deffo be back soon! I had the double bacon burger and my boyfriend had the sweet chesus burger we then got dirty fries and katsu chicken fries to share it was all absolutely delicious, soo tasty. Would highly recommend and will be going back

Given up on this place after twice going there after ordering, amongst other things, beef burgers and getting them back home to discover they wer chicken burgers. Chicken burgers were quite nice, but not what I ordered! I don't generally review stuff if I've had a bad experience but this annoyed me significantly.

Burgers were PROPER BURGERS - like yer da makes for the BBQ or that one mate who can cook when the crew's round. Dirrrrrty fries with American cheese, big portions on the topped fries, tasty milkshakes (the 'expensive treat' - still well priced). Ended up feeding two people all evening, with some still left over. No sneaky tomatoes on the burgers either, so the buns don't fall apart. Just make sure you order in time, otherwise there'll be an order backlog - further proof how popular it is!

Every time I see family on the wirral I Always have to stop For burger Joe's. Some say I drive 250 miles just for them.

The burger is very nice. But my favourite food at this place is fried chicken with beer. Ok, you won’t catch the meaning, if you never watched the soap TV series ‘My love from the star’ with your wife or girlfriend.

We tried to phone, no answer ! Drove there placed an order, no mention of waiting time,waited an hour for our Kiev burgers? Chicken strips with hardly any garlic mayo not Kiev's very disappointing, wasn't nice , mine went in the bin . To be honest it has put me off going again ( Moreton) staff need to answer the phone and when people place orders give them an idea of wait times. Also when you have a Kiev burger on the menu make sure it is one !!!!!! Just wanted to add a thank for the reply to my comments, l accept that things don't always go smoothly in small businesses. My main issue was not being given any idea of wait time. I will come back again because we have had a positive experience in the past and I appreciate your reply

Had some brilliant burgers from this place. Great service. Quick and efficient during what looked like a very busy time for them. The burgers are amongst the best I have tasted.

Not impressed. Food looks nothing like the images on their facebook/website page. Ordered double bacon. Burnt bacon 1 piece was 2 inches long 1 was 1 inch long,1 lettuce leaf,couldnt taste the cheese or mayo. The patties were nice but dry & thin. Mother Clucker,3 chicken strips,1 inch of burnt bacon,minimum of sauce,again very dry. Katsu fries. Burnt fries & very thin,curry on 1 third of the fries,1 chicken strip cut up,again very dry. Crispy Chicken tenders,5 pieces of chicken tiny tub of weak mayo (i think) quite runny,not enough for 1 strip. Fries,thin & dry,no condiments. Not sure if the fries at the bottom of the bag fell out of the cup of fries or they are copying 5 guys by putting a few fries in the bag. I read this place was a rival to 5 guys. It is not,overcooked dry food,seriously lacking in flavour. Would not order again. I was fooled into ordering by the images on facebook. Maybe those images are from the New Brighton restaurant but they are nothing like what is served in the Moreton takeaway restaurant. Over priced & over hyped. Best part of order? Delivery guy was polite & wore a mask which i really appreciated.v

Easy to order and very friendly staff both on the phone and in-person. They said it would be ready within 10-15 minutes and it was. Contactless payment and hand sanitizer available. Good burger selection with even a "Little JoJos" option for the kids. Nice burgers which were just the right size and left you satisfied but not overly-stuffed. A really good experience. Thank you.

Thursday evening.... just finished the kids online parents evening... thought it would be nice to order. Placed order at 6:15pm.... now is 8:00pm still waiting on food. Phoned at 7:45pm and they said it would be leaving shop soon!! NOT IMPRESSED!!!!😡😡😡😡

Rang up to make a order as I seen them on Instagram not very nice on the phone when I got there no one in masks and no manners got the food burger was dry and chips under cooked and it was cold I will try again because I want what the pics say an amazing burger

Overheard a manager discussing with staff about hours and never have I ever heard anyone speak to there employees how they speak to theirs. It knocked me sick to the point I had to leave without taking my order. I have overheard a lot of how they pay there staff cash in hand not paying NO NATIONAL INSURANCE OR TAX. Don’t think this is fare on other hospitality businesses in the area and In in general the UK and the staff they take on.

The burger here are spot on. I have had nice burgers from other places all over the wirral but these do the best by far. I think the Manu could be bigger but what they do they are great at. Need to open one in the Birkenhead bebbington area 👍👍

Burger Joe excellent within the Marine Street Social in New Brighton. Unfortunately ordering from the shop is a completely different experience. Promised delivery within the hour but as they were busy turned into nearly 2. They took (according to staff on repeated attempts to ring and follow up order) 30+ minutes from leaving the shop at which point arrived luke warm with the top box actually cold. When asking the driver "it is still hot isnt it?" answered "how do I know I've not tasted it!!!" Nice attitude. Avoid where possible. Not good DISGRACFUL RESPONSE BELOW FROM MANAGEMENT. IF I DIDNT EXPECT YOU TO READ MY REVIEW I WOULDN'T HAVE BOTHERED WRITING IT. I DID NOT WANT FREE FOOD AT ALL. THE FOOD IS STILL HERE IF YOU'D LIKE IT BACK UNTOUCHED AND STILL BAGGED AS YOU SAID YOU WOULD PICK IT UP. I REORDERED FROM A REPUTABLE OUTLET. IM NOT AFTER FREEBIES, IM AFTER A GOOD SERVICE AND NICE FOOD. OF WHICH THIS WAS NEITHER. I'LL. Really good food cooked to perfection, not your ordinary burger bar.

Had high expectations given all the good reviews. Ordered to collect as delivery was going to be in excess of an hour being Saturday night. 2 x burgers, dirty fries and onion rings. Everything was packaged in 1 bag but when got home 5 minutes later the chips were missing, restaurant immediately refunded the chips after phoning the shop to advise them which was annoying but good customer service to refund. The food was the most disappointing, only a 5 minute journey home and everything was cold. Not great considering the price paid for takeaway burgers.

Been seeing soo many rave reviews about burger joe, we had to try it. Woman on the phone taking order was friendly. Food took over an hour to arrive, they went to the wrong address. Food arrived and was all warm instead of hot, but still the burgers and dirty fries were really tasty. The normal fries were too cold to be nice. We got the chicken tenders as well, they were quite dry. I didn’t mind them dipped in the sauce given but the others wouldn’t eat them. Would try again as burgers and dirty fries were good and based on other reviews, but wasn’t as blown away as I was hoping to be

Food was nice, nothing special unfortunately. Personally found there to be too much sauce on the burger, which over powered the taste. A shame really as it looked like nice fresh patties were used. Loaded fries were OK too but lacked a little seasoning perhaps. Staff were fab, very friendly and served with a smile. Order was taken and prepared quickly even though they seemed busy.

When burgers are your speciality you have to get the right and my word do burger Joe's get it right everything is so fresh and tasty the burgers are perfect and the sides are amazing worth every penny i need to work my way through the menu to give a fuller review as this was my first(of many) visit

I have tried to come to this place for 3 days now and today I phoned up to see if I could order and they said they couldn't take anymore phone orders and said if I came down I would be served I came down after 3 minutes and I got to this place and they said they were not open so they had told me false information online and this was the same thing they told me last time I order but said they were getting to many orders. So overall I would never go there again and the staff were not helpful at all

Ordered delivery from Burger Joe to Wallasey. Food was nice but unfortunately arrived freezing cold - think the distance is too far to stay warm assuming they hadn’t used a thermal bag. Wasn’t worth the money in this sense but I think the quality would have been better if more local.

26 quid for 2 bacon double cheeseburgers, one single cheeseburger, 2 pots of fries and a box of chicken strips. Waited around 20 minutes but it was worth it. The fries were beautifully seasoned.The chicken tenders were amazing.The cheeseburgers were lovely but one criticism: they went absolutely OTT with the mustard. It was overwhelming so much so that the rest of the taste suffered. Once I cut the mustard (literally) the rest of the burger was immense.

Quality food. Drove here from Anfield after following their instagram account for a long time. Well worth it, reasonably priced and tasted amazing.

Delivery driver must have had a mare because it was 45 mins longer than the initial hour delivery time and food was freezing. Had been looking forward to trying this place but dont think we had the best first experience.
