Bureau Bar in Newtownabbey

Abuse! Antagonist owner! I was refused entry to the Bureau by the Loughe on a recent visit, by the owner. His behaviour towards a severely disabled patron was nothing short off abhorrent. I have two Neurological complaints that effect my speech, balance and gait. Despite explaining this to the owner I was refused entry,!

The food is really good - I recommend the chicken burger in particular. When booking I clarified that they had vegan options during their Sunday set menu as we had a vegan with us - vegan options are advertised on the poster - I was assured they do. However, upon arrival no items on the menu were vegan and the only option we were given was a halloumi burger… which of course isn’t vegan. So I don’t think they know what vegan food is. The regular food is really good though.

A party of 7 of us went on New Years day for food and drinks, the food was superb , the chicken stack amazing and the waiting staff were very attentive throughout the day. After we paid our bill (which was a few hundred pounds) when the restaurant closed, we started to go to the bar for drinks ourselves. The bar was fairly empty and there was a bar man, maybe early 40s, short hair. From the off his attittude stunk, we were asking questions about the gin selections and receiving one word sharp answers. The vibe he was giving was that it was a hassle us being there and having to serve us despite the place being deserted. I went to the bar again and asked what cocktails do they sell, he gave me a sharp reply "none", when I explained that I ordered some cocktails earlier from the same bar, he asked me sarcastically "what did I have then?" , when I said "sex on the beach" he scoffed "Well thats not a cocktail" depsite the fact that the waitress recommended it to me earlier. Then at 10pm, he shut off all the christmas lights, tvs etc and started cleaning up, never once telling it was last orders or the bar is closing earlly. HIs attitute ruined what would have been an otherwise excellent visit, I wont be back and if you own the bar and are reading this, I go out on a regular basis, I have been in bars all over the world and I can tell you this guy should be working in a customer facing sector, he lacks basic manners never mind having good customer handling skills.

My mum had just passed away so we were stressed, so decided to go out for lunch, my daughters wife and I, we arrived at 14:20 and placed our order, waited for 45 mins no food, my wife went to the bar and asked about our order (Catherine is a qualified chef) they said that it would be served soon, in about 3 mins it was served the server said that the supreme of chicken takes a long time to cook, this of course was challenged, our server was very arrogant, however the chicken was cold, the goujons were over cooked and hard, the nut roast was ok as was the soup and sandwich, however the attitude of the manager was horrific what a absolute unprofessional, you don’t argue with a customer she said that the reason our food was late that we were on our phones, 😂, nothing to do with their unprofessional attitude, anyway we paid and left

Only been 2 times and each time we had the chicken stack,it was plenty and very tasty,will be back for something different.

Having spotted this on another website regarding dog friendly Northern Ireland where it states that there is a dog lover owner I called to confirm as I fancied visiting for a drink whilst out walking. Was informed by a staff member that there are only a few tables outside, unsheltered. Wouldn’t class this as much effort to accommodate dog owners so I didn’t visit as it is winter.

lovely meal at lunctime. Staff where all very friendly. I didn't get our servers name she was lovely with black hair. Very attentive. Really big portions I had lasagna, chunky chips where just that crispy but fluffy, so good! Pannacota for afterwards was amazing. Will definitely be back.

Been to this bar many times mostly for quiz and always manage to have a great night. Last night me and my friend went for some food before quiz started, we both opted for the chowder and really that's why I'm leaving this review. After clearing our bowls we both agreed it's the best chowder we have both ever tasted, so if your paying this little place a visit I highly recommend you give the chowder a go.

Hubby and I went here for a meal in August. Absolutely awful. Thought after lockdown they would have tried harder. Guy at door welcomed us in but kept writing something down on a clipboard while we stood there waiting to be seated. . At no stage were we asked who we were. The food was awful

On Sunday, friends and I went to the Bureau for food and drinks. No sooner had we sat down when a member of staff asked three of us to move to a different table. At this stage the premises was half empty. Another two of our guests arrived only to be told that they had to sit at another table further away from the rest of our party. Our intention to meet up with friends to enjoy an afternoon of rugby, food and drinks was frustrated by an over zealous member of staff, who at every opportunity, used no common sense and flexibility to allow us to enjoy a normal Sunday afternoon get together. At one stage, I went up to a couple of my friends to apologise the fact that we were separated from the minute they walked in only to be shouted at by the same female member of staff who was barking orders that the chair I had sat on would now need to be sanitised for the next customer who had ' booked' that same table. I felt belittled and humiliated by her behaviour making which should have been a pleasant Sunday afternoon, more like a boot camp. I will not be attending the Bureau any time soon . Poor customer service, rude staff and an awful experience.

Really bad experience here yesterday. We had booked a table for food and to catch up with friends from Scotland. On arrival, 6 guests were seated at one table, and 3 of us were placed at a smaller, round table. 2 more guests arrived, but rather than being seated at our table, they had to move to another part of the restaurant. To be fair, the restaurant was not made aware of the 2 extra, but the manner in which we were treated was poor. We made 2 separate representations to staff, including requesting table moves, but we were told all were reserved. At this point the restaurant was largely empty. One of our party was told off for moving a chair, as it might have to be sanitised again?! Most frustrating but entirely predictable was the fact that a large table capable of seating 6 and satisfactorily far from other tables remained empty from our arrival to our departure. The meal was tasty and staff were generally courteous. I am very much aware of the impact Covid has had on hospitality businesses and public health requirements but getting so wrapped up in industry guidance to the point that all vestiges of hospitality vanish, something is going wrong. I find The Bureau generally lacking in any character, after this experience I will not be returning.

Very disappointed ☹️ I went down to watch the football on Sunday with my friends as we do on a regular basis but was told no football was on because of the rugby Ireland v England whilst I appreciate this is a very importing fixture in the rugby world , we attend the football most weekends I really do think both set of supporters should be accommodated it’ isn’t because there isn’t enough televisions to accommodate both party’s there’s four down stairs and three upstairs so there shouldn’t be a problem in doing so.I would appreciate for future events that you take on board us regulars who like to watch the football Yours John Mc Kinley Raymond Neill and Jerry Burrows

The food was excellent and service was attentive, but towards the end of our main a band set up next to our table and sound checking the drumkit. While I appreciate a band scheduled to play that evening needs to set up, we had made a booking and could have been sat in a different area. By the time the meal was over the empty tables had filled and so we left promptly. A good night cut short.

Went midweek for dinner and although it was quiet there were a few other tables filled and a nice atmosphere with some background music but not too loud. Food choice on menu was excellent with something to suit everyone. The January £10 specials were great and Bureau should think about keeping these as an early bird. Food was really good and was well presented, tasted amazing. Waiter was really friendly, efficient and knew what he was doing. Would return without any hesitation.

The place is an absolute joke turning families away becuz a young mother and father are wearing tracksuit/bottoms in the middle of the day just looking for something to eat. Do the middle/upper class people of whiteabbey not like to associate with people wearing expensive tracksuits?? but yet you can dander through the place with a big stinking dog and sit and have a drink. dosnt make sense. also don't have your phone volume turned up to loud if your showing a friend a video you may be asked by the delightful waiter to turn it off.

We’ve been coming here for years and as usual it never disappoints. Excellent lasagne and peppered chicken. Great service & friendly staff. 2 very satisfied customers :-)

We both had the mussel starter and steak main course. Really enjoyed the food and the waiter service was excellent. Next time we are going for the mussel main course, as the start was so good.

Had a lovely meal here on Wednesday evening 3rd October. I had the scampi which was delicious and Alan had the chicken stack which he rated.Service which was provided by Johnny (who in our opinion is a great asset) was super. Thanks

Absolutely livid just spent x amount of pounds in the bureau only to be told that che shouldn't be in the bar because of his attire. Cant believe this has happened. Didn't want to state this but che has sensory issues were he cant wear Jean's and has to have all his labels cut off. There were people wearing football tops because your aloud if the match is on. I'm absolutely disgusted this has happened. I've been a local for years but will never be

Visited here in August with a few friends. Sat on the upstairs terrace in the sunshine. Great service and tasty bar snacks

This spacious cafe/bar/restaurant has a relaxed, informal environment. Service is welcoming and swift. Fairly diverse menu of pub-type grub, mainly British but with interesting European and Asian options. Wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, at very reasonable prices..

First visit and I think probably my last. Asked for G. F. Menu but was told they would tailor a dish to suit. Advised very pleasant Waitress I had a severe wheat and egg allergy and she checked that the salmon salad was suitable. The salad and dressing was nice but l played a game of I KNOW WHO PUT THE SALMON IN BUT WHO TOOK IT OUT. Very little salmon and for almost £11 I expected more. In fairness they were closing lunchtime dining but if they did not have enough salmon I would have tried something else. My friends burgers looked and tasted good but the best dish was my granddaughters lasagne off children's menu. She loved it.

I’ve always been here for a drink but never food and I’ll definitely be back. Quick service and lovely food, the chicken and mango and salad is now my new favourite meal. The beer garden which over looks the lough is fantastic on a summers day, definitely recommend.

Have to say I was disappointed by the menu especially the starters section there was nothing on it I would have eaten...my husband asked for the goats cheese and they didn't even have any

I and a large group were in the area for a few days and actually ate here twice. Both times we had the same server and the service was fantastic. The atmosphere is clean and quiet and the food was better than expected. The prices were fair and there wasn't a complaint amongst the crowd.

Food in here very poor. Poorly presented and the burgers are clearly cooked from frozen. Disgraceful price for something that is worse than McDonald’s. Won’t ever eat here again. Fine for a drink though you’re paying city centre hotel prices.

Really delicious meal. All the meals ordered by my family were all very different and all equally delicious.

Visited after our final exam for a bite of lunch. Good selection on the menu and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, the burger that I ordered was very poor. For the price (£11.95) of the basic burger I was expecting something homemade and cooked to order; this wasn’t the case. The patty was clearly bought in, most likely frozen, and over cooked. A burger of similar quality would be served for a few quid in a chippy. My total bill was £18.95 for a bacon and cheese burger, with standard sides and a pint of beer. I was very disappointed.

Stopped by here for dinner on a Tuesday evening without a reservation. No other table was occupied which rather alarmed us since good restaurants usually attract good crowds. While we waited one other table was occupied and we remained apprehensive. Need not have worried. Both our different fish dishes were delicious and served by pleasant, friendly staff. Very good meal and we look forward to returning.

Have heard mixed reports about this place and iv eaten many times here wit one slight mistake in the food, so the ultimate test was mother's day, all 4 of us had an outstanding mealno complaints at all and we we at the last of 3 packed sittings, the staff were brilliant and looked very under control, they even kept an eye on drinks and we had virtually no wait at all and experienced nothing but pleasant service the entire time. The standard is better than ever and seems to continually improve every time I'm there. We all had a wonderful experience, thank you

i have visited the bureau many many times and have always had good experiences in it, so decided to call in yesterday as we were both off work. I had the burger and chips and my partner had the open prawn sandwich. My burger definitely did not look like a homemade burger more like the type of meat you get from a tin, both it and the chips were full of salt, i dont add salt to my food and couldnt eat the meal. My partner tried to empty his prawns out onto the plate and was greeted with pink water.

Really disappointed with the quality of the meal. Risotto was tasteless and just a plate of mush. Monkfish was overcooked. Having paid £16.95 the quality was totally unacceptable. Far too expensive for the quality of food.....pub grub at best

Two of us called in here for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon and ordered from the three course menu.

We stopped here initially for a last drink before going home, but we found out they had a pub quiz on that night, so we decided to stay on. It was surprisingly really good and the way it was run meant people could not cheat on their phones. Ended up staying to end of quiz, though managed to drop from top 3 to bottom 3 by the end. I would definitely go back for quiz again.

Yet again great food from this gem of a place tried different dishes and always yummy compliments to the chef plus good variety of beer etc highly reccomend it give it a go ...

I never leave a review about anywhere, but today I felt I had to.

Visiting during the holidays and touring Northern Ireland. Stopped in here for dinner with my wife, daughter & son-in-law, and son & girlfriend. Son and girlfriend are living and working in Ireland for a year. This is the only place that added a 19.00 pound service charge to our bill. Tipping is not expected everywhere else in Ireland but evidently here it is. Looking at the bill, I do not remember exactly what we had but it is listed as 5 XMAS Mon-Thur Dinners and 1 XMAS Fri-Sat dinner plus a Sunday starter and 2 Sunday desserts. HMMM....they also charged us for the tonics for the gin and tonics the girls drank. Not memorable other than the charges.

I have just had Fish & Chips. It was OK to fine.

Me and my husband came for dinner on saturday the 22nd of december and the food was amazing. we also got served at the bar by a lovely girl anna, i think her name was, she was lovely and very attentive. she recommended the Strawberry colins, and i loved it. first time being down to the Bureau in years, but i will deffo be back.

this place has beautiful views out across belfast Lough but the upstairs lounge is not open for lunch!!!!! We had soup and sandwiches with coffee and tea but it was unremarkable. Was disappointing really and such a shame the beautiful view is going to waste. very slow service and it wasnt really that busy.

Im going to keep this short and sweet. My GF,s meal was not the warmest and I had the most terrible experience of scampi I've ever had greasy soggy probably cooked from frozen meal. At near £40 I would expect much better. I just payed as I would not embarrass anyone and ill try somewhere else instead.

Girlfriends meal was Luke warm and my scampi was awful. Im sure you can do much better than most likely frozen food.

Been here for quite a few meals as well as a work Xmas dinner. Food has always been top notch, service is fab & staff so friendly.

We dined here one evening with friends, and were pleasantly surprised by the selection of food on the menu.

Went here with friends for drinks. Any time we asked staff a question or tried to order drinks they practically responded with a sigh! Absolutely no atmosphere and it would appear that the staff take preference to looking after their 'regular ' customers. Won't be returning. We were planning to eat here but decided to go elsewhere as restaurant practically empty. Won't be returning.

This is exactly the right place in the right location. A nice place for a drink after a good dog walk along the shore. A dog friendly place where the staff are brilliant (even brought the dog water and treats), everything is perfect except the food. Saying its average is being generous. And at prices you'd pay in a nice Belfast restaurant. Pity.

Popped in here for a quick lunch on our way to the airport. Lovely sunny day o we were able to sit outside and look towards Belfast lough. We had a lovely big bowl of seafood chowder and the service was good.

Went in today for lunch. There was only two of us, one ordered a burger the other ordered chicken Wings, after waiting for an hour and noticing everyone else had been served (even another table of two who came in 30 minutes after us) we called the waiter over and asked if ours was nearly ready? His reply was “oh have you ordered? What did you order” at that point we left.

Love this place. Food is delicious and staff are so welcoming. Mostly go when sun is out and we sit outside looking out at the sea having a meal

We went to this place on a sunny Sunday afternoon, ordered cocktails, which were lovely, but when we wanted to order the second round we were told we cannot, as they are not serving cocktails today due to being busy. The barman who told us, was having a beer later on in the outside area...and the bar was empty, no staff.. could not really understand why we were declined to spend our money on cocktails..

Arrived at 7:20 and ordered our food about 10 minutes later.

As a first time visitor we were not sure what to expect as the reviews are quite mixed. But there were three of us and all three enjoyed their meals, although someone at the next table had to have his meal replaced. The food was tasty, presentable and the service was good. My one criticism is that some of the food and particularly the desserts were a bit overpriced.

Had lunch recently and enjoyed, good service and found our waitress was helpful towards my wife's special dietary requirements. I had their take on club sandwich which was a proper sandwich! Chicken fillet, thick bacon, fried egg in broiche bun with lovely chunky handcut chips

I was in the Bureau for drinks and my boyfriend and I decided to have a meal. He ordered rack of lamb which was £16.99 and when it arrived it was a tiny portion - 3 cuts, on the bone with only a mouthful of meat of 2 of them and one was all fat. He left the restaurant really hungry. I ordered Bang Bang chicken which was very salty and I had to get up twice during that night for water because the thirst was so bad.

We stopped in at the bureau for an early dinner before heading to an appointment. The staff informed us that we would have to wait for the chef to come back but took our order and were really pleasant and helpful in making sure that our food was cooked and served to us with plenty of time to spare. Not every restaurant would be as helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be returning as the food was amazing.

Went to the Bureau in Jordanstown for lunch on 7th June 2018 and ordered a Homemade Quiche and Salad. The Quiche was alright, the salad very sparse but worst of all it was served on a narrow black slate which did nothing for the presentation and less for the containment of the food. I expect food generally to be served on a white circular plate. I was with two others and was not going to raise the issue at the time. If Restaurants are differing from the conventional, they should display it on the menu or be informed by the waiter. Very disappointing

Im going to qualify this first by saying that because we were having dinner as a classmates reunion who hadn't seen each other for many years - we didn't complain - because we didn't want to cast a shadow on what was a wonderful get...

I went here with my wife and daughter and we had the following - Sirloin steak which was ok but could have been better but the chips were delicious. Chicken burger which was again ok but the Cajun spice was fairly non existent. The kids...

I've eaten in the Bureau on numerous occasions, quiet lunch for two or dinner with 9 others. Always very well treated and the food is excellent. Sad to see some reviewers had poor experiences. This has never been the case for me.

went into the bar/restaurant today with previous positive experiences of the place, however as a newly turned vegetarian i asked to see their options. Decided to order the thai green vegetable curry which tasted utterly of vinegar and did not resemble a thai curry with the spices and taste in anyway. The sauce was bad enough but there were plenty of potatoes in it, served alongside what seemed like a supermarket nan and sticky rice. my family did thought their beef burgers were very dry too, would not recommend!

Post on facebook advertising drink and food promos all day for st Patrick’s day. Went down at lunchtime and was told that we couldn’t order food as they only had two chefs on and it was too busy!! Only went down because it advertised food promos all day. Weren’t allowed to eat upstairs and only had one barman on the whole duration of the Ireland match! Had to go else where to get food. Should not have been advertised for food if it did not have the capacity! Really disappointed because the menu looks brilliant and they have a really good choice!!!

Not happy with the service at all. Myself and a friend called in for a quick cuppa and some food after being at the gym. Immediately as we walked in we saw 2 members of staff talk and look directly at us as if they were talking about us, we looked to see if there was some sort of problem and they saw us look over with concern.. yet they continued to talk about us making us both very uncomfortable and like we weren't welcome. The man then comes over and asked if we were waiting on someone and what we were in for? Again which didn't help make us feel welcome. So me and my friend just left again. So rude and disgraceful customer service talking about customers blatenly under there nose and making them feel uncomfortable. I'll not be back. We're both nearly sure it was a lady manager who was doing the talking along with another guy. It's not acceptable. Youve now lost 2 loyal customers...we took ourselves elsewhere for food and be back there again. Staff need to be taught maners.

Visit bureau on my week off work and things have certainly improved. The menu was excellent, something to suit all taste, I had Pate followed by a burger and was very please, good portion size and excellent quality, i will be back!

Shocking experience. Badly treated by manager, so rude and offensive. Never ever seen anything like it. we have always left generous tips and have been regular costumers untill tonight. I still cant believe the experience we had. we will be avoiding this place and suggesting...

Congratulations to the new chef. The menu is greatly improved with a much better choice of fish and vegetarian dishes. The last time I visited I found difficulty in finding anything on the menu I wanted to order.This time I had a lot of choice...

Great Wee Bar in Newtownabbey! The Bureau serves some of the best cocktails around, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The only reason it’s not 5 Stars is the food has went down hill since the new owners have taken over

Had dinner and a few drinks her with some friends and had to say I was pleasantly surprised. Lovely bar, extremely friendly staff and the food was lovely! Seriously couldn’t fault anything and will definitely be back... And very reasonably priced.

Went for dinner in New Years Eve. Food was fantastic with good choice and well presented. Flavours were beautiful and I really enjoyed main and dessert. They also had a swing singer which provided good entertainment and was a good value, feel good and taste...

Drinks great, music so good. However 2 staff serving in club on New Year's Eve tho! Otherwise can't complain.

Wednesday after Christmas popped in for lunch, quick and professional greeting from really nice guy.

Had lunch there today for my birthday and it was delicious great food lovely staff and a complimentary glass of bubbly and a candle and a song by staffgreat atmosphere and well recommended

Just dropped in for a quick lunch. I chose the beef cheeks on a truffle flavoured mash for £14 and really enjoyed it. The beef was beautifully tender and moist. The truffle flavour really addded to the mash.

The menu and the food had improved briefly but now they have a new christmas menu which is back to basic boring food .There was only one vegetarian meal on the menu and the standard fish options were fish and chips salmon or scampi. One of our party tried the sandwich/ soup combo . This consisted of a soggy turkey ham and stuffing sandwich and vegetable soup .Have they no imagination? The female member of staff who served us was professional helpful and friendly, it's a pity the standard of food did not match the service on that visit.

Ordered a mojito but told there was no mint, so changed to wine.

I had the ribs which just fell off the bone - little finger now provided for my very messy fingers , my two companions each had the steak which was equally tender none of us could finish the chips etc, so full. Staff were friendly and helpful

Called in for a drink ,asked for a cocktail that wasn't on their menu to be told point blank NO ...not no sorry but we don't have whatever to put in it or no sorry but I could make you asomething else instead ...just NO ! How rude and unprofessional...we actually thought he was joking at first but the lack of a smile and surly manner soon confirmed he wasn't ! Looks like somebody needs to do some more staff training...after all they are supposed to be in the HOSPITALITY industry .

Food was extremely poor. Honey chilli chicken consisted of a few over cooked pieces of what was supposed to be chicken, covered in a thick, slimy, tasteless sauce with over cooked vegetables and noodles. They did remove the cost from the bill. Had a few drinks each time had to go to bar to order; service not good. Will not return EVER.

We had lunch here recently and all four of us were perfectly happy with the meal. The haddock, salt and chilli chicken and the beef were all good. The portions are not large though perfectly adequate for me. The desserts were good though the cheeseboard was a little limited. We drank water, an apple juice and 2 glasses of wine as well as a coffee each. The total price was £92. This was certainly better than an average meal though I'm not sure I would rate it as very good!

I think the rod that breaks the camels back is the lack of response on trip advisor from peoples comments. Find that rather rude and unprofessional. And what made post this was i asked for a menu. Never arrived. Waited and waited. A quiet Tues early evening. Sums it up really

First and last visit yesterday. Distinctively average frozen food. I had over deep fried chicken goujons, so over done they where hard to cut. Apparently this is a new menu. Words fail me when I am served poorly sourced food. I've had better quality food from an Icelandic store. Sorry, I wont be back.

This place has lovely new decor with a funky outside area. The owners are very dog friendly and always give extra attention for our dog. Good to see a relaxing chilled out bar which brightens up the area

Called here last Sunday what. Joke Never have ever been in a more down trodden place From the min we walked in door we were ignored ! Took 31 mins to get order took & had to ask the drinks had to go back as they were Flat . 20 more mins till main course came out & what can I say Rotten not any of us could eat our Main. Sent back . The man that served us wasn't very helpful . Smirking when we complained . Do yourselves a favor + STAY CLEAR

Fish and chips is very very good and the prawn started is large enough for a main meal,great staff and nice surroundings

I've always enjoyed the food at the Bureau, particularly when it's not too crowded. Nice menu and friendly service.We had a late breakfast here on Saturday and my off-menu order was accepted without hesitation. One criticism though - there is a very interesting list of local suppliers for all meat products, for anyone who prefers to eat local produce, but the pork sausages didn't impress my husband. They were "budget" sausage (or looked and tasted like they were). However, that's the only flaw in the food!I do prefer to avoid the bar/restaurant during busy times when the speakers are turned up to full volume and conversation is impossible.Was delighted to be able to bring Frank, our darling pug, through to the beer garden recently for a refreshing pint (water for the dog!) after a nice long walk along the Loughshore.

We went here as a treat from my daughter, menu not the most exciting but we both like salt and chilli chicken so both chose this, it was horrible! They had made the salt and chilli chicken but then drowned it in another hot tomato based sauce which together did not taste good, we had asked if it was hot and spicy and was told that there was warmth .... we couldn't taste it! We picked through it and ate some chicken but other than that it was pretty untouched! You would think that someone would have queried the fact that the plates went back virtually full but the only comment was ' so you ate the chicken bits' Disgusted with this and will not be back - get your act together and serve good food

Absolutely superb meal. I asked for my meal without onions. The waitress checked to see if it was possible and came back to say yes but that the chef didn't think it would be as good. In that the case, onion lovers are in for a real treat as mine was exceptional. The waitress was lovely and service was perfect.

Called in for coffee on a Sunday afternoon. Obviously it was a bother to the staff. One with a lolly stick stuck out of his mouth who couldn't make the coffee. The one who did finally make the coffee made it plain she didn't want to. It was over priced and tasteless! Won't be coming back here in a hurry!

Enjoyed another great meal here! Friendly and welcoming staff, good menu and well priced!The meal was really good, but the chips are excellent! Truly! There are few restaurants, if any, make such good chips! A basic fact, but true!Nicely presented and very tasty!Yes call in for a bite, I'd highly recommend! Enjoy: )

Great location and lovely surroundings but the meals are quite expensive and portions aren't great..

Took my wife here for Sunday lunch 9/4/17 place was pretty empty which worried me a little as it was lunchtime and the restaurant only a few doors away was packed but as I'd never been before i said sure we will give it a try , the menu was ok but no Sunday roast dinner on offer , very disappointing but i ordered the cajian chicken burger and the wife ordered the chicken goujouns i was asked if i wanted bacon or cheese at an extra cost and i said no , the food arrived soon after . On first appearance looked good but then the disappointment kicked in again as the burger was very dry no relish or mayo the fries were shop bought French fries and the purple slaw on my plate was unnecessary and bitter and discusting ,my wife seemed ok with here until she realised it was processed chicken and she wouldn't eat anymore of it , if we had have wanted horrible processed chicken we would have bought it at tesco for 2 quid not pay 10quid for it , all in all a terrible experience food was lousy and the football match was very loud in the background , i now understand why it was empty , this could be an outstanding place but cheap nasty food is not the way to go , the last thing I will say is I wont be back . Sunday roasts would help your business

Never been here before so decided to give it a go. I had fish but I felt like all I had was batter on my plate very little fish. Went for a brownie for dessert and it was burnt. I won't rush back.
