Really excellent service, love this local spot. It feels super family friendly and classy for a evening meal. I loved the wine and the pasta, the portion sizes were perfect and the dessert was great. I've had affogato and tiramisu here before and loved both. The staff are really attentive

The restaurant is very traditional which is a good thing. The staff are well informed and attentive. The food is good and details many dishes that many not be in your traditional Italian restaurant.

Food was a little underwhelming, mushroom soup, pork crackling main and tiramisu were fantastic. Mushroom risotto, veal and vegan tomato pasta were a but underwhelming, fig and walnut dessert was nice but very disappointing, couldn't locate the figs. Must say the wine selection was great and service was fantastic, its only the dishes that fell a bit short. They'll have a new season menu in a few months that might be better.

We love this restaurant but had not visited for many years so when it was my husbands 70th birthday we decided to have a small celebration on the day for just 4 of us and it was perfect. Great food, good atmosphere, friendly staff and we will definitely go again soon.

A lovely family restaurant! Delicious food at a very reasonable price, friendly and welcoming staff and a cosy atmosphere. It's always our first choice for eating out in Birmingham.

Arrived early evening so not too busy. The starters were superb and the sea bream main course with the dressing is definitely one not to be missed, absolutely bang on. Not been for a while, not sure why but will definitely back soon.

Had a wonderful time and wonderful food! One tiny thing is that, in previous years, the sauce that comes with the arancini used to have a wonderful taste of tomato and (we think?) star anise. The new sauce was nice and rich with plenty of flavour, but that old sauce with the anise taste was absolutely incredible and we’d love to taste it again.

We never fail to have a lovely meal here. Came for lunch and there was a great choice of dishes and a warm welcome from the wonderful staff. We opted for starter sized portions of pasta and risotto with meat/fish mains. Desserts were trifle and cannolo. Everything was presented nicely and tasted delicious. If you’re on a budget, you can choose from a specific lunch menu although the choice is more limited.

Smartly decorated. Good food. One of our party had a Birthday. The staff added a lighted candle to her pudding, and sang 'happy Birthday' to her - a very kind gesture!

Absolutely love this place, it has become our new date night spot. The atmosphere is so nice the staff couldn’t be any better so friendly so efficient make you feel so welcomed the food is outstanding can’t wait to come back again! I can’t add another review, but I must say their new winter menu is amazing! Couldn’t recommend this place to eat!

High end , high standard Italian food . More traditional . No pizza, lasaña or spaghetti bolognese. Will make modifications - no children’s menu .

A welcoming relaxing place with a good range of delicious dishes to choose from

I have been to Buonissimo many times over the years and have never not had a fabulous experience. This time was no exception!! There were five of us who went to celebrate my birthday. Fantastic starters - soup, antipasto sharing plates and seafood. My friend had the sirloin for main course and said it was the best meat he’d ever had! I had lovely sea bream fillets and my partner had their excellent pork belly. The veg sides were all delicious too. The staff are always absolutely wonderful and their kitchen team are an amazing collection of talent who source and produce excellent, authentic Italian dishes. There head chef Mark is an example of professionalism and charm. Such a sociable and personable man. He even made a special dish for one of my friends who has certain dietary needs. If you want to enjoy wonderful food, ambience and value for money - then book a table at Buonissimo. Grazie - Roberto Cataldo 👍❤️

Havent been for a long while but it was superb. Fantastic service, very attentive but the right amount. The food was beautiful, simple but delicious italian meals done very well and reasonably priced. The pork belly, veal and prawn and scampi ravioli were a highlight. Will definitely be back

Imaginative mainstream the fish stew was extremely spicy too much for my companion. Nothing in the description in the menu alluded to the spice level of the dish...had it dome so,n alterative dish would have been chosen.
