It was so delicious that I felt like I was visiting Italy again. We will definitely come back and try more dishes.

Amazing food. Incredibly helpful and polite staff this is our first choice restaurant. Updated review we have been dozens of times since my initial review and felt the need to review again as still outstanding had a meal last week and we was blow away unbelievable quality the tastiest food by miles

This was by far the best restaurant we have ever visited. The seafood was fantastic and everybody was lovely, we had a great night and will definitely be returning.

The service here was terrible, one of the workers was very rude and arrogant. I came in to inquire about the menu and they were very dismissive. My interaction with this worker was very unpleasant and startling as I did not expect this customer service from this establishment. It honestly put me off and I would never set foot in this place again. There are plenty other places in Acocks green that provide better food and service and still are welcoming and warm to their customers. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The best Italian I have tasted in a long time, portion size is great, price is good considering the portion and quality of food, which is amazing. Don't let the location put you off. This is a little gem of an Italian restaurant.

Lovely atmosphere, all the staff were lovely. Felt very welcome - we sat in the back section. Enjoyed the montepulciano red wine by the glass very much and the food was great. We look forward to returning.

As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by friendly staff and escorted to our table. They are not intrusive, so you can choose from a wide range of choices. Of course, if you don't know something, they'll be happy to advise you👏 Everything was fantastic and I can recommend it to everyone because it's a perfect Italian restaurant. 💯

I had my birthday dinner with my family. Food is very yummy and staffs are nice. We love the risotto with lobster and the fish soup as well. Cheesecake with pistachios is fantastic!

This was one of the best restaurants I have been to. There were 5 of us, and the restaurant staff accommodated us very well. The manager was really lovely too. The food was 10/10, it was the best Italian food we have had. I recommend this restaurant, and you can tell that the chef’s heart and soul was used when making the food. Absolutely amazing, can’t wait to come again. Everything was cooked to perfection, we had a variety of starters and mains, and had tiramisu and the pistachio cheesecake for dessert. I really recommend this restaurant, such a lovely place and atmosphere 💕

Live music on a Friday evening. Attentive service, you get given a buzzer for your table. Food was spectacular, so much choice but all cooked to perfection. Only negative was we wasn't asked if we wanted dessert, however we were too full anyway.

Absolute scam - advertise 25% off before 5pm Monday-Friday, we tried to call ahead to order but they didn’t pick up, so we did it online (conveniently they called us back dead on 5pm…) and we ordered before 5pm. Arrived to collect but the discount wasn’t added - I flagged to the staff and they offered us free chips instead of 25% off a £65 bill as advertised…false advertising and awful customer service, no thanks, you can keep your overpriced food

We was today for dinner everything was perfect real italian taste!

Seven of us out for dinner yesterday and every single course we had was divine. Very good wines also. Could not fault anything. Thankyou to all the staff for being so attentive and friendly😉

Three of us visited for a celebration and reserved online. Upon arrival we were greeted nicely and shown to our table at the rear of the restaurant. Last time we visited L'aragosta it was just the small front of the shop and small upstairs, now it has a large rear reastaurant too and it was well decorated and furnished. We had called ahead and asked if they served non alcoholic Prosseco, unfortunately they didn't but if we wanted to bring our own there was a £10 surgharge. The meal itself was very nice and cooked well, HOWEVER the meal wasn't complete and sides needed to be ordered to complete the meal. Mixed vegetables an extra £5 so three meals add another £15 to the bill, add 2 fries add another £7 to the bill so that's £22 on top of what your paying for your main meal. Throughout the evening we purchased from the bar non alcoholic beers and 2 gin and tonics, wine and water, so I was rather surprised that the £10 corkage had still been added even after purchasing other drinks and especially as they didn't sell Non alcoholic prosecco. In all the food was lovely and the staff were attentive and considerate, only let down by incomplete meals and the £10 charge for supplying our own Non alcoholic prosecco. Pictures added are of meatballs, tiger prawns starters and main of surf and turf before adding sides. Total bill, £153 for 2 starters, 3 mains and drinks.

We were lucky to find it, it was conveniently located not too far from the car park. The first member of staff who came to take our drinks orders had no idea what was in the menu, I found that disappointing. Yes, I understand they specialise in seafood and pasta, however they don’t have gluten-free pasta, and if some your group members are vegetarian, well they only have a couple of dishes for vegetarians😢, but nothing for vegan ones. I ordered risotto and asked if they can make it vegetarian, I was grateful that the chef was okay with that. It tasted okay, but it was very rich and heavy on the stomach. The meat eaters in our group were very happy with their food, so I would overall it was a nice experience.

11 of us had a dinner here last Saturday, every single course was delicious, the seafood was fresh. The desserts were also big and delicious. Service, food, atmosphere were just amazing. Can highly recommend.

Another fabulous meal to celebrate news of another grandbaby on its way, (any excuse). We are early evening diners, so not crowded or noisy. Staff are lovely, always on hand, and are happy to oblige. The food is always impeccably presented, piping hot, and generous portions. 100% recommend. Street parking.

Really wanted to enjoy this place as it would have been nice to have a decent local italian. Not sure where to start but for the price you pay you expect quality. The pizza was in no way authentic (also it never had nduja on it like stated on the menu BUT THEY DIDNT BOTHER TO TELL ME BEFORE SERVING IT), had 0 flavour and clearly they used pre-grated cheese on it. My meatballs were also tiny and really didn't taste like great quality beef, the sauce they were covered in was kinda thin and runny and had 0 flavour. Honestly i feel bad giving this review but the price to quality ratio is kinda criminal. Also I'm a person that doesn't mind paying more if the quality is there but this was not the case at all.

Service was pretty terrible, waited over an hour for food. When the food did come the quality was awful. Pizza dough was poor, and was undercooked, ingredients I’ve never seen a whole carrot on a pizza before. We also had the calzone, ingredients again were poor. Price is very expensive, we paid over £50 for two, one of us did not drink anything. Service at the end of the night was poor yet again, sat waiting for the bill. I had a glimpse of the kitchen on the way out and it was a mess and filthy, which made things worse.

I live in Birmingham about 23 years and this my 2nd time am visiting this lovely restaurant it’s the best restaurant from the start till the end my food was so delicious lovely people working in that place I will definitely recommend this place keep it up guys 😘😘

I have used this restaurant in at least 8 occasions. Anything from a quick lunch to dinner for business visitors. This place just gets better every time. I advise anyone to visit it’s brilliant.

The food is always divine here and the setting lovely. The Italian radio in the background gives a Mediterranean feel to the experience. The prices are surprisingly high for such a small venue, in a nondescript location. Prices mean visits will be restricted to just special occasions, when it would be nice to visit more regularly.

Beautiful furnishings and the food was "ok", but nothing special - it's mostly pasta after all. But the prices are extortionate. £6.45 for a pint of Peroni (£3.75 for half-pint), £22 cheapest bottle of wine, £10 for 50ml Gin. £15 for a basic pasta dish is absurd. We won't be returning.

Fantastic evening on Friday night with the family had the best 3 course meal I have eaten in a long time food and hospitality was mitchellin star standard... lovely meatball starter then surf and turf ... steak was best I've eaten in a long time not 1 ounce of fat or grissle surf king prawn and scallops in sauce was to die for ... all in all amazing food and service 😋

Went there for the first time last Sunday and can’t wait to go again! My husband had a fillet steak which he said was the best he’s ever had. I had calamari- which again was the best I’ve ever had! Such a simple dish but lots of places mess it up. For my main I wanted a pasta dish that wasn’t on the menu but they happily obliged and chef did it specially for me - again it was sublime. Lovely restaurant and friendly helpful staff. Good value for money.

One of the best restaurant i have ever been. Called them to book a table and they said they are fully booked. Few minutes later i have received a message they had a cancellation so we can still get a table. Which restaurant will contact you directly? I think its pretty rare. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is brilliant. Tasty and big portions. And the presentation is quite nice. Usually when you order a drink all you get is a glass with it . Here they serve your cider with fresh fruit in the glass etc. The baked seabass took about 40 minutes to cook but the waiter has told us beforehand that it can take so long so it was not a surprise. After you receive your bill they serve you a shot of limoncello.nice touch.

This restaurant is a hidden treasure. If you haven't been, you are missing out. We went on Saturday evening and had the most beautiful seafood meal. I live in Torbay in Devon and have a plentiful supply of seafood but I have to say I have never had anything like the seafood sharing platter I had here. The food was fabulous and the service exceptional. Waiting staff were smiley and attentive without being over the top. Can't wait to go back.

We celebrated a milestone birthday here last night, and it was just fabulous The staff were attentive and very professional The restaurant were very accommodating in allowing us to have a balloon display on the table and a birthday cake - complete with a chorus of Happy Birthday for the birthday girl The food was absolutely delicious, we all really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be returning Thank you to all of you for making it a special night

Amazing and authentic Italian food. Great service and staff were very attentive. Food arrived within 20 minutes and must say delicious and cooked just right. Would definitely recommend to visit this place. Although restaurant looks small from the outside it has further tables in the back room and upstairs. The restaurant itself is very clean and modern. Will be returning here very soon.

Fabulous food and great service

Very friendly welcome. Warm and lovely restaurant with excellent service. Menu has a great choice for all. The mixed bruschetta was a large portion with a great variety of toppings. I had the chicken and king prawn main which was full of flavour, chicken cooked to perfection. There is also a great choice of sides to choose from. Would definitely return!
