Bulls Head Inn in Kirklees

Dropped in from a walk nearby. Great pub. Had a couple of decent Pale Ales and a sea food basket off the special board. We were a party of 5 including a vegetarian.

Popped in for the first time this afternoon and had a lovely welcome from Paul, the landlord. There will be lots more visits 🍻

Perfect food - perfect choice - fantastic wine - fantastic service - perfect atmosphere - good price. Went for valentines meal could not have asked for better ❤️❤️❤️

We could not fault our meals everything was perfect, the plates were hot ( which I like). The portions were very good sized, and the children,s menu was really good with plenty to choose from. I certainly recommend the "Bulls Head Inn"and the rest of my family do.

We were a party of 40 family and friends together for a NewYears Day meal. The food was really good and everyone commented on the steaks being cooked to perfection. The service was also very good considering the size of the party. Would definitely recommend!

Went with my mother on Saturday afternoon. Found a very limited menu, struggled to find a meal to my taste. Ended up with some tasteless chicken and cold fries. There was no OAP s menu, so my Mother ended up with kids sausage and mash. There was no atmosphere and no music. I won’t be rushing back.

Just got home from a lovely visit and the bulls head in. Came with my partner both got steak and ale pies, wow they were superb! Lots of meat in the pie, and Absolutley delicious. We live local so will definitely be returning. Friendly and kind staff.

Went for a meal at this lovely pub today. We know the bartender Malcolm from a previous pub so wanted to pay him a visit. So as expected a lovely warm welcome nit only from Malcolm bit from landlord and landlady Paul and Sarah. ordered starters, mains and desert. both starters were lovely, prawn cocktail and chicken skewers. BUT then onto the mains........ WOW!!!!!! My wife had a burger which towered above a pint glass, I opted for the special which was a 35oz Tomahawk steak and oh my god what a steak it was! enormous and perfectly cooked. considerably better than the steak I'd had the previous day at Capri in Mirfield! quality is superb. Had a lovely chat with chef Kate who is very passionate about her job and rightly so as she does a cracking job! de seats were again lovely so a solid 10 out of 10 for everything! 110% will be regulars now. Cheers

Lovely pub with a good range of drinks, excellent food and friendly staff.

Unfortunately we were disappointed we are local and hoped for better. I had a nice ribeye steak but the chips were burnt and soggy and no garden peas my wife had steak pie which was just puff pastry and gravy very little meat. Cold plates didn't help chef apologised to other diners but not us. May just have been an off day but we won't return.

Me my partner and our toddler recently visited the Bulls Head now that they're under new ownership. Aside from the great food and clean, traditional, welcoming feeling to the pub, the staff were very helpful, going above and beyond to come and save us from the rain by escorting us brollies in hand back indoors when the heavens opened up. The food is really good quality, especially for the price, however they recently trimmed their Sunday menu to mainly traditional roast dinner with a few additional options. There's actually more kids options on Sunday than adult options which I found quite funny, so plenty of options for your little and not so little ones!

Really nice food and good portions. Friendly staff and they made sure you were ok. Play area for children with swings and slides. There is also a few small slides for younger children. Lots of out door seating. No heaters that I could see but there is a covered tent area to sit under and eat if the weather is bad. We didn't have to book but it's advised at busier times and evenings.

Sunday dinner was awesome. Being a truck driver in the uk at the moment is hard trying to find proper food so really enjoyed the meal, thanks guys

Came for Sunday lunch and it was absolutely faultless. Food was delicious and the staff were amazing. A much better experience than one I had at a nearby pub the previous week, will be returning!

We have had a few meals here & they were lovely. One Saturday night we went there was a lady singing can't remember her name but she was partially blind .she was very good ,great atmosphere.

Visited the bulls head a week ago, it was quiet, but it was only 12 o clock, I had the steak and my mum had chicken and mushroom pie, with home cooked veg both was delicious 👍 friendly staff, was made welcome, will definitely go again.

Simply great pub food. We had fish and chips and cheese burger and chips plus a . few drinks. All for about £35. Food was great and the service first class. Just a shame we had not been in since the new owners took over. We will be back for sure. Give it a go you wont be disappointed.

We have been regulars in this pub for over 40 years and were hoping it would be a success when recently had new management but unfortunately on the few times we have visited it is like being in a children's creche not a pub for adults. Some people might like small children running around noisily but not us.

I travelled to Bulls Head Inn, Gomersal as I was staying over at a local hotel I managed to get a gig booking at the pub on SATURDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER which was their OFFICIAL GRAND OPENING. When I arrived Paul & Sarah welcomed me and showed me where to set up. The locals that were in the bar as well as Paul, Sarah & the bar staff were so friendly it was a great night. After the gig I was speaking to the owners and they were more than happy with my sets AND they mentioned they would like me to come back in OCTOBER which was so amazing to hear. ANYONE IN OR AROUND GOMERSAL/LEEDS get yourself to this pub. CAN'T WAIT UNTIL NEXT TIME!

An excellent, traditional pub in the heart of the community. The pub recently reopened on 9 September. When I popped in on 13 September 2019 they were getting organised and were planning to start serving food again in the very near future.

First visit tonight. Hand pulled beer very nice. Slight odour smell but that probably down to it being closed for quite a while. Landlord, landlady are great to talk to

Ten of us attended on Sunday for lunch. Although we caused a bit of chaos as they weren't ready for us. Once seated and dining the experience was very good. Great portions at a very reasonable price. Everyone was happy. Would recommend.

Wow! What can i say, we have visited today with my husband and children for our Sunday lunch, it has been the most pleasurable experience from start to finish! The chap behind the bar is an absolute gent and the food is a dream! Really couldn't ask for more! So nice we have booked for the following Sunday! Thank you x

Fantastic homemade food. Went in to try and thought the menu was a bit small, but, the quality of the food more than made up for it. One of the best burgers I’ve had. Also heard that the steak night on Thursdays is a cracking deal. £8.50 I think and it looked really good. Looking forward to going back!

This is our business local for an after work beer. This pub has been hit and miss over the years with frequent management changes. It seems to be settled now and the vibe is coming back and it is beginning to be more popular. A great selection of draught beers and lagers and the food is spot on.

First time we had Sunday dinner here, it was great plenty on plate ,carling reasonably priced,staff very nice.

Saw the pub ( lovely old building ) read the reviews, went today for sunday lunch , only complaint was too large a portion and i love my food. Will definitely go again but will get the medium-sized plate not the regular. Superb.

Been here a couple of times, but my last visit a few days ago definitely my last. As I was driving, I had 1 pint of a weak Southern ale and then a cola. Drinks very expensive for the type of pub it is, and talk about stingy serving the cola. Leave this place for the locals, they can have it.

First time here in years and was impressed. A lovely young man behind the bar and a nice selection of gins. The food smelled lovely too

Friendly reception, service and atmosphere. The menu covered all types of tastes and appetites and there were "Specials" on offer. We had three different dishes, and I can honestly say the quality was superior and they were all delicious - not what I have come to expect from your average Pub!!
