Not impressed with service very poor customer service . Lack of communication and management, I believe Chris is the manager and he is very arrogant

Firstly. A big thank you to the staff who were run of their feet and running round like headless chickens bless them, they couldn't do enough to please their customers. Hubby was desperate to try the GIANT YORKSHIRE PUDDING so we settled on a beef roast in a "gyp"and a normal beef roast. The beef was gorgeous. Peas and cabbage great, carrots a little hard, gravy way to watery for me. and the roast potatoes leaved a lot to be desired. Tastless and hard. The place us very busy so obviously people dont mind them. When you are paying 20 quid for a roast I expect better. My son had fish and chips but didn't like peas so asked for salad instead which consisted of pomegranate grated carrot and pepper. Wish I had known cos all he wanted was a normal salad !. The menu is very limited. No pasta !..... However. The nachos were amazing. Best I've ever had. Wish I had just had double nachos !

Fabulous meal, just wish I had room for 3 courses. We had the giant yorkshire, it could have fed a family! Staff very friendly

Been going to this pub for the last 3 years, had a couple of minor issue's in the past that when mentioned to the waitress was never sorted out, this time was the worst, roast potatoes were that hard you could've used them as golf balls, could not cut or pierce them, told the waitress and she said she would tell the chef, i heard nothing more (as usual) the cauliflower cheese was very bland, used to be good food but not anymore, slowly gone down hill, paid and left never to return.

Honestly, best place to go when you’re hungry. Me and my bestfriend go every monday and we’re greated with the warmest welcome. Amazing place!

Family lunch for seven. Everything was excellent, from online booking, confirmation the day before to food, ambience and service. £200 for five adults and two children for three courses and drinks. Added a voluntary15% tip because the whole experience was worth it.

Last minute decision to meet up with a good old friend of 53 years. The food was absolutely delicious, thoroughly recommend the cod and chips. The atmosphere was amazing, Chris is a fantastic manager, the place is so well run. I live in Hertford and eat out every day there, not one of the restaurants are a patch on The Bulls cod, it was humongous and tasted yummy! I’m looking forward to going back again soon. Definitely 10/10

Omg! The cod and chips was absolutely delicious! Popped in on the last minute with an old school friend, I now live in Hertford but spent over 50 years in Cheshunt. Chris is a fantastic manager, he runs that pub so well. It felt like Christmas Eve in there last night, fantastic atmosphere. I’m looking forward to going back for cod and chips again very soon. 10/10

This pub has it all! Wonderful, friendly and happy staff, first rate customer service and exceptional food and drinks! You could eat your food sitting on the floor or even in the toilets, as the cleanliness of this pub is amazing! The atmosphere is really welcoming, and Chris, Tish and their team can’t do enough for you!

A fantastic pub. The staff are so friendly and helpful and we always get superb service. The food is amazing, and my 9-year-old daughter says they serve the best fishfingers and chips in the world, which unfortunately means she regularly drags her dad to the pub! Such a hard life!! Highly recommend

My favourite pub, warm and cosy in the winter, beautiful garden for the summer, large very well designed dinning area, massive food and drinks menu and best pint of Stella of any pub! Staff and management are always friendly, happy and helpful, love the bulls head.

What a pub, still amazing to be able to walk into a pub immediately get welcomed, and the staff make sure you are looked after throughout your visit.. The manager Chris and his lovely wife, are amazing hosts as well, the food is awesome, and if you haven’t been you do not know what you have been missing.

Cannot praise this place enough, the team , the food , the drinks , the atmosphere. Great , well run pub . our dog , Alfie,loves it too, they all adore him, and he them , especially when you have a big handful of dogs biscuits for him Nothing is too much trouble for them, warm welcome every time, they also look after my very own Guinness glass very well. Oh, and the famous Yorkie puds

Lovely venue. Dark areas. And a mix of high level stools and bench seats plus relaxing chairs.

Following an unnecessary confrontation with a male waiter who bought the meal to our table we will no longer be using this pub, after being regulars for 2 years. All I did was politely ask why the mayonnaise might taste different! I should have mentioned it to any of the wonderful female waitresses as this nasty abrasive man made me feel I’d made an offensive remark. I accept that restaurants reserve the right to offer whatever type of food they want – in this case the Bulls Head only provides vegan mayonnaise – but the meal was spoilt by the aggressive manner of this particular member of staff (perhaps he was the manager or even owner?). Suggest if you do eat here, you save any menu queries for the female waiting staff.

Great quality food and the staff work extremely hard and ensure that each customer is satisfied. Can get very busy at popular times, but a sign of the excellence of The Bulks Head.

Unfortunately two of our party of four ordered steak, both of which were tough.

Great around pub, nice food and friendly staff, all that lets this pub down is the lack of other beers other than their own brands witch ant all that good.

Due to a mistake on my behalf with paying for my meal I had walked of without paying. This pub and the management team was so understanding and I would like to send a massive thank you. The food was amazing as ever and is a very nice place to eat always try to accommodate. My family was 17 and they was amazing thank you again.

6 friends for our annual xmas lunch get together. always choose this pub as never had bad service or bad meal to date. it is always so busy, yet, runs like clockwork. lovely waitress - been there years, still dont know her name! service/food whole experience 5 stars. keep it up - a few other pubs could learn a thing or 2 from you. x

Just stopped to catch up with old friends for a snack and a pint. Excellent pub sat by the Woodburner (so toasty and warm) down to earth Place, Great staff, excellent service & food. Will 100% Return.

Nice pub ,good front of house staff, based on my steak dinner, dreadfully quality. Far better sirloin steak in Morrisons , Tesco, Sainsbury....even Wetherspoon. My Sirloin was sent back and the replacement was edible the wife sent hers back and was advised to try chicken. Seems they buy steak from a big wholesaler / distributor with an emphasis on price not quality. Probably good for a burger !

We haven't been to the Bulls Head for some time, have been trying other venues, big mistake, The Bulls Head was absolutely brilliant. Food, staff and atmosphere were superb.

We have been here several times in the last two weeks due to unforeseen circumstances. On each occasion the staff have been outstanding. It’s always busy . Lovely interesting interior. Unfortunately the menu isn’t great , a lot of chicken (which I love ) but it seems to be over cooked or kept warm. There are other options on this visit I had the spicy goujons as a starter and a burger, (not really a burger person but didn’t fancy anything else) the burger was dry , the chips were tasty and it came with coleslaw , maybe a little coleslaw and a little salad may make it more appealing. They were doing the festive menu so one in the party had roast turkey , out of all the main courses this looked the best. You can’t fault the service and the friendliness of the staff.

Went last night for a meal with 4 friends. Food was fantastic - absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was busy, buzzy and the staff there are incredible. The service was quick and efficient and nothing is too much trouble. Friendly and professional and we had a fabulous evening 😀

This is my second visit to The Bull's Head and have to say that on both occasions the food and service were first class. Our waitress Jodie was ever so polite and went above and beyond when taking our order and serving the food. We will certainly lunch here again very soon.

My friend and I went to visit the Bulls Head for the first time. We really enjoyed it! The guys working there were very friendly, the atmosphere was fun and chilled, especially with the little lights in the evening and we really liked the food. Best nachos we've ever had! Oh and, good cocktails too at a good price. We'll definitely be back!

Just found this pub a few weeks ago. Enjoyed some after work drinks and have enjoyed our new find. However, we tried the Sunday roast and was disapointed. The service was polite but wasn't great as the staff forgot our drink orders more than once and had to be reminded. They had run out of the lamb shank and turkey so we had the beef brisket which was good and chicken. But the chicken was dry and the roast spuds were over cooked and just hard, nothing inside. And we didn't appreciate the staff showing the contactless payment machine set to how much tip we should give, almost showed in our faces. We always tip when the service is good but having it almost forced on us was rude and spoiled our visit. It was super busy so we were thinking we may give it one more chance, but the tipping thing changed our minds. Drinks only for us from now on.

Food is good entertainment is fantastic at the weekend and the staff is very pleasant. It’s just a lovely pub

Decent large McMullen's Brewery pub in Turnford, Hertfordshire. Two cask beers on handpump when I visited including a mild. Lots of outdoor seating in a large garden, some of it covered. Friendly and helpful staff.

Gravy poured all over roast dinner did not have the choice of adding this ourselves. Vegetables swimming in gravy. Potatoes some side bits ok other side soaked in gravy. Frozen small potatoes. Stuffing cut In cubes hard unless soft from gravy. Dinner had been put under a light to keep warm, meat dry I think this is why gravy was poured over food. I don’t remember a roast dinner ever like this. Sadly will not recommend the roast. A friend previously told me about the gravy and food swimming in this, as they cut into the meat the gravy went over him. I forgot this until doing this review.

One of the few nice trendy pubs locally. The manager I believe his name is Marc. He's been there a while and every time I visit he's causing issues with patrons. He has some form of power issue. Would be better suited serving food and drinks and leave punters alone. Horrible character He is everything you don't want from an employee. Would be a 4 star without him for sure. The food for a chain is great. 8oz rump was cooked how I wanted it on Friday can't ask for more. Prices for drinks are a bit steep but where isn't nowadays?! Good amount of parking and great location. I've been drinking here on and off for 15 years.

An amazing pub nice garden and play area for the children The food is amazing unfortunately the service was shockingly bad I was out in the garden with my partner and the whole time we was there, there was a very large guy who works for yourselves serving people outside the only issue was he was too busy talking as having a laugh with what seemed to be his friends that he never served on his own it took my partner calling him over and when he did come over he had an attitude as if to say why did you pull me away from my conversation, he unfortunately did not smell to great aswell but thus could have been dur to it being hot and being busy buy the attitude when asking to be served was horrendous.

We had a nice meal there with a healthy selection if vegetables. There were a few glutenfree options for my husband too. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The hole family went on Sunday to celebrate my mum's birthday. Excellent condition and service. Food was delicious and we enjoyed the live music of the 17 years boy. Great performance

Had lunch at the Bulls Head today. Perfect in every way. The person serving us was lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. Great food. We thoroughly recommend it.

This was the best place to eat in the area, but today's visit was very disappointing...roast potatoes were difficult to cut into, the 7oz steaks were very small and we doubted that they were actually 7oz, the prawns in the prawn cocktail were very small and was only a dessert spoonful worth, one slice of cucumber cut in half and half of tomatoe cut into quarters with very little sauce. The Sundaes were half the size they used to be, certainly not worth the price anymore. Such a shame as we loved eating there.

Food overall is really good, service is good and friendly and its a lovely family pub. Would get max score if it wasnt for the odd minor let down.

Great pub. I've been going here for the last 5 years. Food quality has been great. The only thing I have a gripe with is the new menu. No more Korean BBQ vegan chicken with kimchi! But besides that staff uave always been very friendly.

Great place tucked away nicely. The service of one waitress was amazing. The atmosphere was great however it was hot where we sat down. Also the steak my friend had was not entirely well done. Well worth the visit again. 5 stars if they improve on those areas.

Best service ive ever had for my nut allergy! The staff were incredible, checked everything for me and were really attentive, even sat down with the allergy binder to go through it for me which is amazing cos they are a pain! Atmosphere is lovely, looks great inside and out, soft lighting and music. Food was great too but the staff were what really made the place shine!

We chose the Bulls head for our family meal celebrating Fathers day today. Three generations..every one of the 7 people had different food and drink requirements..from vegan to dairy intolerant. We were treated like royalty. The staff in the bullshead have such a lovely way...

Well done to the bull for restoring my faith. We went for a carvery on Sunday and what an improvement from our last visit. Service was excellent and the food much better. A good choice of meats and also tasty potatoes and a good selection...

Had a meal for 2 here, the chicken was lovely and juicy, good sized portions at a very reasonable price. Lovely cheerful staff who were attentive but not overly attentive allowing us to enjoy our meal. Nice atmosphere in the dining area which was well furnished. Would highly recommend

First visit for a few years , you can tell Chris is still managing, car park immaculate, pub interior spotless food and service faultless, it won’t be a few years before we go again !
