Was not worth the money I spent last night not much taste and the specials curry full of onions not worth the price

Okay food, however way overpriced, the prices are not worth what you get. Been elsewhere for just as good for a lot less.

Quality food served up by professional, polite staff. I highly recommend this takeaway. Thank you.

Chicken chow mein usually comes with veg in and a sauce asked for without beansprouts yet came just dry noodles and chicken with little bit onion not very good at all

Great menu selection, all the classics and very good quality - and I'm particular. Portion size is huge, but not necessarily a negative. Wonderful staff, fast service, and they get the order 100% accurate. 'atmosphere' not relevant. All chinese takeaways should be like this. Make this your Saturday night ritual. Highly recommended.

Tastes amazing but never answer the phone

First time we have used this takeaway after being recommended and it was divine. We had lemon chicken and a house special curry and it was so tasty. Thus will be our future takeaway

Absolutely awful meal. Normally lovely but this was shocking. Chips were so overdone they were like crisps. Curry sauce as thick as bulls lugs. Overall meal was not nice would not recommend

It's a shame but Budda Belly is the best place for our take-away and is always our first option but getting through on the phones is becoming more of a battle, we call more than 30 times and only get through the phone Once. Then When they do pick-up they're either quiet, or say their shut even tho online states overwise. And one time when we did FINALLY get through the call the person on the other end hung up. It's a takeaway not a battle or have to be stressful just to place an order and by that time the food has turned sour because of how much time we wasted.

Great food, when you can get in touch. Impossible to get in touch. 7pm to 8.15pm. Joke

This has to be, without doubt, the best Chinese takeaway establishment in Sunderland. The food is always of an exceptionally high standard and the delivery service is remarkably quick. Personally my family has taken delivery of food within 15 mins. Be aware though folks the phone line can often get busy but that's merely an indication of just how good this establishment is. Very strongly recommended.

Perfect everytime only disappointing thing is you can never get through by phone always easier just going into the shop and ordering they're always busy but reasonably quick once ordered and worth the wait anyway

We moved here from Seaham had same chinese for yrs decided to go to Buddha belly and never looked back it’s really tasty I’m a cook and wouldn’t go anywhere else now

Just phoned over 50 times no joke trying to get through, and still no answer, how are you meant to order a delivery if no one is gonna pick up the phone?, absolute joke :(

Excellent food, best in the North East, I actually travel from Durham to collect mine and am never disappointed. First class efficient service. Most importantly the shop is immaculately clean.

First time ordering food from here & wont be the last. I ordered the beef with onions garlic & black pepper ( see photo ) it was fab! If you don’t care much for garlic then don’t order it as there was loads but I love garlic, hubby got the king prawn and mushroom curry which was lovely, the dishes come with rice/chips, the portions are big. Delivery was very quick, Highly recommended

Just had a takeaway from here for the first time. Really good, well worth the drive through from Seaham.

I would say this is the best chinese in Sunderland, great portion sizes and food is amazing! Always go back weekly and never disappoints

Fantastic best around and the fastest delivery service ever

After reading lots of reviews and listening to the hype about this take away, we decided to give it a try - its not our usual place of choice.Cant fault the place or the staff...both are lovely, but the food was not a patch on other take aways. I had chiken pineapple, which was ok...padded out with a huge amount of pineapple chunks. The other half had Singapore Chow Mein with extra chillies. It was dry and had hardly any meat - a little chicken but no beef and one tiny piece of pork and needed a magnifying glass to find the prawns. No peppers or mushrooms, which are a staple ingredient of Chow Mein.Spicy chips were the frozen type and were powder dry with little taste - certainly not worth the whopping £3.20.At least I can say we've been now....but wont be going back. At £15.40 for two meals, which didnt get fully eaten, it was very disappointing.

My other half and his family love a Chinese takeaway and I've never rated a Chinese takeaway (would always prefer and Indian takeaway) until we tried Buddha Belly last year.Food is always hot, delivered quickly and delicious. You can always tell the veg is fresh. We've collected a few times and the place is always busy and I like the modern shop front and front desk and it looks so much cleaner than so many other Chinese takeaways.Whenever we ring the lady who answers seems super efficient, reads the order back to you and always confirms the price and anticipated time.

Had salt and pepper chicken myself and was great it's always top notch food kids had chicken and better 14 in the bag and very reasonably priced as always I use this place time and time again and always very impressed keep up the good work guys

This takeaway offers some beautiful tasting food, the food is well presented and tastes very clean, the staff are very warm and welcoming, the takeaway shop itself is very well presented and has an excellent appearance both inside and out which you can easily see a lot of effort and money has been spent on the design, the shop is very clean and tidy, the food is averagely priced, parking is available across the road. Highly recommended.

Of all the Chinese takeaways in Sunderland this is by far the best, The food is always hot and very very tasty and very reasonable priced compared to others. Staff are always friendly, downside is that because it is so popular it sometimes takes a while to get through on the phone but be patient it is worth the wait. Highly recommended.

Fast delivery of food which was hot and lots of it and very tasty with free prawn crackers . The menu choice is very large with great options will be ordering again .

Ordered salt and prepper beef which is a main dish which is manky came with battered beef strips and no other item and no sauce I will never order again form here and will try my best to to make sure other people are aware my order was delivered within 15 minutes
