Superb place with good food and drink, just happened to see it passing through before going back home up north

An absolute gem of a find! What a beautiful place to just sit and take in the vibe while eating the most amazing food (the cakes are phenomenal especially the pistachio). And a fabulous pot of tea with bone china mugs. Outstanding!!

What a fantastic tea room. I can honestly say the tea was excellent, and the baguette (mushroom, cheese, and caramelised onion) was fantastic. The icing on the cake was the selection of cakes and scones. I have never tasted better. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere for relaxing. I will be back and would recommend it to anyone whilst in Buckingham.

Afternoon tea was out of this world!

We went last Sunday and It was a great experience, fully immersed in British atmosphere with sophisticated furniture and awesome winter decorations. It seemed to make a jump back in medieval time. Afternoon tea was delicious with new tastes and food, well introduced by Valentina, so kind and professional. Thanks 😊

Second visit and just as good - friendly welcome which continued throughout our afternoon. Highly recommend the celebratory afternoon tea - so nice to have something other than sandwiches - the menu is fantastic and everything was so tasty - loved the different options provided and all was 10/10 Certainly won't be the last time we visit

Awful experience. Was charged £28.95 per person for an afternoon tea. Booked in advance with notes of dietary requirements, they accepted the booking. I requested vegetarian food, no eggs and no fish and caffiene free green tea. They had plenty of time to accommodate for us and as we got there, they proceeded to tell us all foods contained egg (we didn't want omelettes/boiled eggs or items that contained these) and that they didn't have decaf green tea even though these were my specific requirements. We stayed through afternoon tea and ate what we could. They then told us, the price of 28.95 only included 1 tea, which was cold by the time the food came out, usually afternoon teas are with unlimited tea? Finally, the rest of the food came out and we were served scallops and lamb casserole... despite being clear on the dietary requirements!!! Lack of care or customer service. Lastly, we had a gift card to pay for the 2 teas, the man then came out and said we only had £20 on the giftcard and that we had to pay the remaining £40. I asked to look at the gift card and it wasn't even the one with my name on it!!! Why do I feel like he was trying to get more money from us?! Just a poor and rubbish experience, particularly for the price paid. I've been to other afternoon teas £25 for 2 people and come back with a full stomach and all my dietary requirements met!

On a one day visit to Buckinham we decided to pop in to the Team Room for breakfast because it looked so inviting from the outside. We were given a very warm welcome and took a table for two in the window. It is a lovely room with each table having unique china tea cups and a small brass bell so you can summon service. Of course we had to try this and it worked as someone arrived with a smile. I fancied a bacon sandwich and despite this not being on the menu I was obliged without fuss, and my partner chose Eggs Royale which was very good. The tea was fun, served in china. It was a good breakfast, at a fair price, and served cheerfully in a fun environment.

We had a really lovely afternoon tea here. The food was beautifully presented and truly delicious. This is probably the best afternoon tea I've had. The friendly staff bring it out in stages on 3 separate cake stands. I would definitely recommend booking this as a birthday treat. You won't be disappointed.

It's the third time I have had Afternoon Tea at this quirky yet delightful Buckingham Tea Room and, as always, have been suitably impressed. Even if you go for the more traditional menu, just being transported away to a different time is worth the experience.

I love this place and I will definitely go back. Enjoyed our afternoon tea with friends. Everything was delicious, freshly cooked and baked😋 I can't fault anything that was on the platter. It's not just the basic afternoon tea we are used to. It has that classy vibe. Friendly staff and the place is very clean. You need to book in advance.

Possibly the most underdeservingly pretentious place l've ever been to. Chintzy and a tad dusty. Proprietor looked down at myself and my partner, and despite empty tables which weren't reserved asked if we had a reservation. Reluctantly showed us a table and then ignored us for 15 minutes. We left.

Undeserved snobbery at its finest. My partner and I visited today. The proprietor looked pejoratively at us before asking whether we had a reservation despite there being vacant unreserved tables. Reluctantly he showed us a table, offered us a menu then ignored us for 15 minutes despite my trying to make eye contact each time he passed us. We left. The decor is chintzy and gaudy with artificial plastic flowers. The owner has tried to keep it dust free, however has failed A multicoloured plastic emporium reminiscent of Miss Haversham house.

This is a small tearoom serving first class food in an over the top quirky setting. Loved it, and the competent young man who served us. The food was innovative and well above the average. The afternoon tea was simply amazing.

Me and my husband went for an afternoon tea at this beautiful historic stone house in Buckingham town . Service was amazing.. especially Andy so welcoming and polite 🫖☕🧁🥧🥂 Lovely view of a castle and the Buckingham high street. Had an amazing experience. Would definitely be back .

This is a hidden gem in Buckingham, you could easily go straight past but you would be missing a treat. The food, the staff and the feel of the place is just great, you are made to feel special no matter what you go there for.

Amazing! So much more than a tea room. How did we miss this last time? It's a few steps past the pedestrian crossing in the High Street, going downhill. An intimate space, quirky, clean, and with the most amazing customer service. Within minutes we felt like part of the family; even ended up having a conversation with another customer. Food was delicious, different, hot and served with a smile. I cannot recommend highly enough. Their Summer Risotto was a real treat.

Wow what an absolutely amazing place , how I’ve walked past it so many times without going in heaven knows . Well today I planned to visit from a lovely welcome from Andy the service was brilliant and the scones melted in my mouth absolutely delicious . I will certainly be a regular visitor going forward and bringing my friends . What an absolute treat you won’t be disappointed .

What a lovely treat!. My daughter had arranged the celebration afternoon tea along with prosecco , as a Mothers day present. The tea room is so pretty and the owner was very welcoming. The tiers of savoury (including lamb & mushroom stroganoff) and sweet were all amazing, both in presentation and taste. The asaam tea I opted for was perfect . My daughter had the rose tea which she also said was really nice. We have indulged in many afternoon teas over the years and this was amongst the best, also excellent value for money. 100% recommend. I hope to visit again in the future!

Oh my days what an afternoon tea that was , been before but this time the only things that were the Sam were the savoury & sweet scones Not a sandwich on site , the lamb stroganoff with fried rice was amazing, so many different courses I had to bring some home Would highly recommend the place service was faultless food absolutely amazing Will return hubby was well impressed as well, you can’t rush this you have to savour every mouthful The best afternoon tea we’ve had and I’ve had a few Definitely 5+ if I could Thanks you for a lovely afternoon

We visited Buckingham Tea Room twice. Our visit in April was a 5 star experience with amazing food and attentive service. The waitress created a luxury experience and paced the meal perfectly. Now, today we went to Buckingham Tea Room to celebrate Father's Day and I wish we didn't. The food was still amazing, but service ruined the experience for us and most likely we won't be back any time soon. The afternoon tea felt rushed at first with the next course arriving before we even finished the current one. Then we were completely neglected and left alone struggling to get anyone's attention to even get a bill. The staff was inattentive. First we felt rushed as if they wanted us to leave asap, then completely forgotten. Overall, I would expect better service when I'm spending over £90 for a meal for 2 adults and a child.

Lovely decor, attentive polite staff and really delicious food. We had a freshly baked baguette each served with a delicious salad. However, it would have been nice to see some vegan options displayed on the menu though.

You will always leave feeling like you just ate at a 5 star restaurant. The Buckingham Tea Room is a small restaurant serving some of the most excellent food I’ve ever had, and is very affordable. I can’t recommend it enough. Everything is homemade by the owner and chef, who is extremely talented. Book in advance every time you go - whether you’re just going for tea and scones or if you’re going all out with the Afternoon Tea experience. It’s very easy to do on their website! Worth it to ensure you get a table. Their scones are light and delectable, both the savory and sweet versions (highly recommend trying both kinds). Their tea options are vast and they’re all of the highest quality. The cakes and sweets have no business being as delicious as they are! And they are presented and decorated in such a stunning manner. You can go for tea and scones, or you can get the Afternoon Tea which includes tea, scones, and a variety of small savory dishes all served on tiered stands. If it’s your first time visiting, I really think you should get the Afternoon Tea so that you can try many of the things that they offer. The small savory foods that I’ve tried there have been some of the best foods I’ve ever eaten in my life. My favorite tea is the English Rose, however the Chai is also excellent! I’ve tried most other types, but these two always stick out. I could go on and on about this place, and talk in detail about every single insanely good thing I’ve eaten here, but instead of doing that - you should just go on their website and book a table as soon as humanly possible, and then you’ll just know what I mean. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Visit as soon as you can, and as often as you can!

This was the best cream tea we have ever had, it was a perfect blend of innovation and tradition. The environment is quirky and as it’s in a busy High street, not the usual cream tea surroundings. The food was beyond expectations. Really lovely presentation, although very traditional, the quality of the food was amazing and the service was great, really friendly and attentive, event though it got fairly busy. Would definitely recommend and would go back, worth a visit.

We had an Afternoon Tea with family. Amazing food and service. I loved that the savoury lunch type selection were not actually Sandwiches. They're savoury cheese and thyme scones,l with creamy butter and kiwi chutney! You also get to try their main food selection in miniture portions as part of the Afternoon Tea. The sweet food selection was equally amazing. All home-made and high quality. I could taste the butter not oil, lard or margarine. Highly recommended!

This is the most amazing place. I have had many afternoon teas - including at the Ivy but this trumps the lot. The settling is antique charm, the staff are delightful but the food is out of this world. We had the Celebration Afternoon Tea. It was enormous and every component was a taste experience. Heavenly. We were with my autistic daughter and they couldn't have been more welcoming. Go! It is a meal to remember.

Friends booked this as a surprise. Lovely tea room in the middle of Buckingham. So quaint inside, all chinz & china. We had the tea, it was brilliant. Savory truffle mouse with toast and a salad to start, savory scones, cod with holllandaise sauce & lamb bourguignon with savory rice, baileys mouse, raspberry & chocolate filo tart, carrot cake & scones with cream & strawberry jam. All the food was beautifully cooked & presented and tasted great. Service was brill. Will be back.

A lovely establishment in a beautiful stone house, with traditional British decor and furniture, all together creating a warm and comforting atmosphere. Delicious freshly baked scones and cream, with a proper aromatic blend of a brew to wash them down... and today those Eggs Royale were a real gourmet treat on their own... Britain at its best.

I have never been here before but after checking the reviews I thought it would be a nice place to take my daughter for afternoon tea for her birthday. A lovely quaint place with friendly staff who welcomed us. We chose our tea and our first plate of food came out and we were told what was on the plate. In all we had 2 single plates and then a cake stand with 4 plates on. Not a sandwich in site a lovely twist to afternoon tea. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely come again.

We've been coming here since it opened. It was excellent then, and it's excellent now. Staff are attentive and polite. *glass of prosecco (a lovely organic Prosecco) *double espresso (nice a strong flavour) *eggs royale (sauce was delicious, with depth, eggs bright with a deep orange yolk and the salmon was perfect) The place is usually quite busy and have several bookings. On this occasion a walk-in was accommodated. Whether it's a drink you're after or a meal, can't go wrong. Price to quality ratio is superior. Especially considering the price-gouging of new venues in the area.

I visited the tea rooms with my partner Mark as a belated birthday afternoon tea treat. I have to say we were both blown away by the delights were presented to eat. Beautifully presented and explained. Delicious and so individually different. Refreshing not to have little sandwiches. Thoroughly recommend it!! Knocks spots of any other one I have had.
