Food what great just took a bit long to come out

During eating the meal, a strong smell of unclean toilets (human waste) continued to come across the room in the air. The stench became nauseating and as we left, a number of us felt physically sick. I complained to the manager (executives chief) about it and I queried where the smell was coming from. He said there was a blockage in the sewage system and it would be rectified in the days to come. Two of the toilets in the foyer were out of order and he said the accessible toilet, directly off the main restaurant area, had a manhole inside that had recently been lifted and a seal broken in order to examine the blocked drains. The toilet wasn’t labelled “out of order” but was in full use. Therefore, every time it was used and the door was opened and closed, the smell of human waste was being carried in the air out towards our table. Undoubtedly, airborne stagnant human waste was travelling across the restaurant. Although the bill was paid in full, the management team have refused to refund the money so far.

The service and atmosphere were ok but why does staff not come back to clear plates at the end of your meal? We were ignored until we went to the till to pay with plates of half finished food sitting in front of us. I can't get over how bad the food was. I ordered a Caesar salad that was served with lettuce that was either slimy or icy. The chicken was dry and the bacon has a layer of cold fat. My husband got a dish including champ with massive pieces of freezing cold spring onion mixed in which made it inedible. Our neighbouring table send two plates of food back for whatever reasons so we know it wasn't just our table. We won't be back.

Been to other restaurants in this chain in Larne and Lisburn and this is by far the worse. Start off with the good, staff were good. Fairly friendly and took our order quickly. Checked it over several times to make sure they got it right. The restaurant itself feels claustrophobic and like your are always being watched. Wasn’t overly busy but still enough going on to feel chaotic. Doesn’t help the heat was cranked up probably to get you to buy more drinks. Bathrooms were very poor, No roll left and could of used a good cleaning. There was also no changing facilities for babies unless you went through the other two locations to use those. Food itself was very poor. Batter on the chicken was absolutely stinking and tasted slightly underdone. Brisket was very dry. Giant taco shell was also tasteless and borderline inedible To top it all off Had the squirts afterwards.

Always used to come here and recently started going again! We usually go Tuesdays but decided Thursday this week. It was so bad.. The food I got was cold, chips were dry and they had no meat burgers? Only chicken burgers which was ok with me but not the fact it was cold. My mum got a steak sandwich which had cheese like rubber and the steak took 3 minutes to chew one piece! Would give this 5 stars as I have always loved this place but not too happy with it right now.

There was a huge lipstick mark on my drink which tells me that they either took a drink out of it or just never clean , I would love to show this but they just took it away to replace it.

My food was okay... however my partner got really sick after eating pizza here yesterday and has now had to take two days of work because of it fever chills and just really ill , and we never had issues like this before with them. But he ordered chips sweet tennesee pizza and he has been up all night and just in agony with his stomach it couldn't of been anything else as this was all he ate yesterday. I'm feeling fine but if it was a bug I would of been sick by now. Will not be back never had no issues before as ate here before several times. Place needs to double check food before serving . Shocked because its appalling that this has happened. He can't even get out bed fever vomiting the runs the lot. Terrible.

First time here, definitely the last. It's a place to take the kids with regards to decor. Great range of food, I unfortunately choose the chicken fajitas! The sauce was more sweet and sour (Uncle Bens) than Mexican fajita, the sour cream was over powered by lemon (inedible totally) and the garlic cubes were hard in the inside and hardly a hint of garlic (again inedible)! My partner had the San Frisco Bay, wouldn't recommend it either. Was going to complain but there didn't look to be anyone over 17 working and it's not their fault. Definitely kids party vibe.

Horrendous. Stood for ten minutes waiting to be seated whilst staff walked passed, looks at us and then proceeded to stand on their phones behind the bar. The service from there on out was incredibly slow and unbothered. The food was okay, however you could tell it was reheated as the chicken was dried out. When paying we were using a voucher which no staff member seemed to be able to do. We definitely will not be back.

There was a mix up with our order which resulted in about an extra 10 minute wait which honestly is nothing, multiple staff members apologised for this very small inconvenience and comped some things off our bill which was very very nice, the food itself was great we both throughly enjoyed each dish. Will most definitely be back and encouraging others!

Awful experience at this place. Food was horrible. Have been to this place a few years ago and it was amazing. But food seemed to be re-heated. We ordered the wings for a starter and garlic bread, food was bland and sauce for the wings was runny. Main course seemed to be re-heated. Ordered the burger which was grey and the chips were definitely re-heated. Food was awful cheap quality. Veggies seemed to be frozen food definitely not fresh. Would not be back.

Good Gluten free selection. Can be very busy at times which can affect service time, especially around movie times

Way too expensive for what it is.

Queues in to get seated are common you might wait 15+ minutes, it's a popular place. Food was okay, had a Big Mamas Fried Chicken, it was a bit dry but good, milkshakes are good too. For accessibility, I don't recommend however if you have or know someone with Autism/Over sensory issues, a lot of noise and bright lights.

We have eaten here a couple of times and the service has been either good or bad. We ate here 2 days ago and decided to have the 2 course Christmas menu the first server came over and she was lovely. She smiled and took our order promptly. We received our starters within 10 minutes and they were lovely. The atmosphere was weird in the restaurant as (Other than that one staff member mentioned previously) were miserable. It was more of a shock when I found out one of them was the manager. We watched them seat a table, No eye contact, no communication and they placed the menus down and walked away without waiting for them to sit down. They had absolutely no personality. I've worked in Hospitality most of my life and I understand the holidays can be draining but they were just on another planet. It wasn't very inviting and put us off coming back.

Nice looking place inside and the waitresses were excellent at their job. Very cheerful and helpful and checked up on us. The quantity of food they give you for the price is very reasonable and you wont leave hungry! I loved their curly fries (although not enough garlic and chilli which was bit stingy) and their chicken goujons and shredded onions. Really disappointed in the chilli one burger as it was rather raw and juicy and had no taste and was def not spicy/hot. Not how I like my burger so didnt eat that. Very overpriced for alcoholic drinks E.g. pint of Guinness is £5.99! Not even Gillies @ Galgorm charge that much for a pint of Guinness and thats a 5 star hotel. Also Im embarrassed for the management for presenting ripped and dirty menus to customers. That's shameful for a restaurant so please sort that out. I would go back to Bubba Drew's for dinner though and would give their chicken burger a go next time. However, the place wouldnt be my first choice for dining in the area.

3 of us ordered from the Christmas Burger from the Christmas Menu. The food was terrible. The burgers had obviously been reheated and were hard. The bap was burnt and the chips looked like they had been re-heated several times. Definitely would not recommend eating here.

Went yesterday for my bday with my friends and had a great time, recommended!!

Went for lunch, plates and cutlery were dirty. Waiting for ages to be seated as staff looked at you and walked on past. Food was shocking, meat was dry, chicken was okay. Tastiest part was the side of curly garlic and chilli fries. A lunch not worth £40 (x2 mains and x2 drinks) Didnt finish mains as it didnt taste nice, left feeling sick. Won't be back.

Burnt steak arrived after 40mins. Order was wrong, Asked without onions, arrived with onions. Tex mex was Sickenly gloupy mess after it arrived.

Good food. Quick served. Little bit too noisy music, so I can't use the brain.

This place isn't what it used to be. The kids chicken gougons were so greasy the kids wouldn't eat them. My own food just tasted like salt and the steak I ordered and told the server twice how it was to be cooked came to the table well done. Service was so slow there was no point complaining as I didn't have another 30 minutes to wait.

Decor is really cool. Staff are very friendly and service is quick enough. Food was gorgeous. Had the Titanic burger and it was delicious! Also the honeycomb milkshake was incredible good. They have a huge range of food on the menu, from burgers to mains, sides and desserts.

I was waiting for food 45 minutes when almost all tables was empty , then I resigned because I didn't want to wait anymore.

Went here for lunch after Christmas shopping trip. Had the 3 course Christmas dinner was lovely & a wee cheeky cocktail. 1st time ever in here but will be back. Our server was very friendly.

Friendly staff, no consistency, burnt bacon then raw bacon, over cooked dry burgers, omelettes change every time I have it. Real shame the place used to do good food. Training is required in the kitchen. 2 stars for friendly staff.

Food is absolutely delicious, and you get nice portions too. Although you have to wait a while for it. Edit: Updated menu is fabulous, although I miss the Mac n Cheese with Chorizo 🤤 Still an amazing feed.

The wait was one hour and I had to ask staff to serve me, but they were busy.

This is a must for something to eat, ample selection of meals food delicious, generous portions at good prices. Staff polite and friendly, I'll definitely be back . A hidden gem 💎

Joke stood in the queue for 45 minutes then we got seated ordered are food after 20 minutes we asked will it be long they said half hour to 45 minutes should we got up and walked out because we had the cinema booked place is a joke got a good look round me won't be back

We have been to Bubba Drew’s now a few times and the food and the service is always second to none. But what made our visit yesterday, Friday 11th February, extra special was the way our server, Jay, interacted with our son Oisín. Oisín is 11 years old and is autistic. He is very verbal and introduced himself to Jay on arrival. He continued to speak to Jay every time he went past our table and no matter how busy he was he always had time to have a few words with Oisín. This made the whole experience extra enjoyable for the 3 of us. Our son is already looking forward to our next visit. Well done Bubba Drew’s and Jay.

Well priced, good food and good staff

Food was over priced for quality my steak was over cooked , but apart from that tasted OK, staff pleasant, and everything very clean

Everything was cooked the way I asked. Portions were generous. Good food and very pleasant staff. First time out eating since lockdown, very enjoyable. Well done.

Refused entry because 1 of our table did not have a mask, we asked if we could have a disposable one to cover the 30 second walk to the table to which we were told we could drive to Tesco. If you have customers attempting to support yourselves after covid you could buy a few disposable face maks for those caught short handed, most businesses do that including ourselves. Really bad customer handling.

My husband got rump steak and it was tough as old boots, hard to cut, hard to chew, virtually inedible and left on the plate, didn’t even bring it home for the cat! My daughter got chicken nuggets and she didn’t like them, I tried them and they were dry, the chicken on my plate was dry too, hard to swallow. Nothing on the plates was tasty or enjoyable. The best thing was the drinks. I did tell the waitress when she asked and she said sorry. I told her it wasn’t her fault but to tell the chef. No comeback from the chef!

Food came wrong twice and was waiting 45mins for starts and got changed wrong when when to pay very disappointing

Good enough meal but having to queue outside for over an hour and then to receive a large lump of fat in the meat wasn't acceptable. I did ring to ask if I could book and they said it was just drop in but gave no indication that they were so busy.

Placed an order with a waitress who didn’t have time for us,are food came and the order was wrong. The Order was sent back with a ten minute wait and my partner had finished eating out of hunger when my meal came.Food was terrible chips where not cooked at all, bit into the burger and pulled out what seemed to be a long piece of plastic out of the burger. I was horrified and asked for manager he had no real explanation and we asked for the bill immediately and left. During the meal also we ordered a pint of beer and a coke and both were flat. Never be back!!!This was are favourite restaurant so disappointed to be let down so badly!!Table 22 24th August 2020

Don’t waste your money or time here. Go somewhere nice where you will enjoy the food. Service awful.

This has been my third visit in recent weeks and due to consistent high standards from the welcome, service, menu selection, standard of food to reasonably priced. We have been as a couple and with our kids, we really enjoy this place.Gluten free selection impressive

Having just been to bubba drews today it will definitely be my last time. We were waiting near an hr for food. My side arrived which I had nearly finished before my (sizzling) dish arrived which came out cold, my friends dish arrived with a pathetic excuse of chicken strips and what were meant to be ribs. No one came near us to ask if everyone was ok which I would have told them no. There wasn’t even that many staff about to call over. Got up disgusted with majority of food left on the plate. Horrible.

Just out from Bubba Drew’s, waited 45mins for meal to be served and when it arrived was congealing on the plate dish’s did not represent description on the menu, very poor service and even worse food one of the worst meals we have ever had. Will definitely not be back.

Took my son to bubba Drew’s for a treat before the cinema, Iv never been keen on it but it’s been years from I was last there so thought I’d give it another chance...This is what they deemed ok serve. Shocking!

3 of us enjoyed a meal during the eat out to help out scheme. We had nachos between us for starter. These were fine. We then enjoyed our main courses of ribs, chilli chicken and a chicken burger. We had the chilli and garlic curly fries as a side. The smores dessert was ok but softer cookies would've made it better. The strawberry mountain and honeycomb sundae were very disappointing for the price. The milkshake was nice but very small. The staff were pleasant and we received good customer service, especially given the current circumstances. Overall, an enjoyable meal and would recommend a main course here, just not the desserts.

About 30 mins queueing for a table, a long wait for our order to be taken and then about an hour wait for food. 4 very hungry kids after this.Its such a pity because the food was lovely just too long to wait for it. We wont be back until service improves.

We came here as part of the eat out to help out and queued for about 40 minutes outside. Understandably the restaurant was only half full due to social distancing so you would expect to be served in a decent amount of time. However we waited over and hour for 3 burgers and a steak and the order was wrong when it arrived. The sides came first and we had finished those before our burgers arrived at the table. The staff were polite enough but not very efficient. No one came to check on us or let us know what was going on with the food or even if we needed more drinks. Despite 2 orders being wrong, a long wait and half the meal being delivered 10 minuyes before the rest, we were never offered anything as an apology. However the food we had was good, its a shame about the rest.

I recently reviewed this place with 3*, however having tried husky joes next door and being greeted with a bubba drews menu, I feel 1* is justified. Both times, dishes not as described. Burgers dry, tasted like they'd been on low heat for a while. Chicken somehow was nearly drier. On the first visit we were dumped at a cramped 2 seat table beside the door despite being plenty of seats available. 2nd time food was sub par again and the garlic fries were literally swimming. Having heard some opinions of others recently, it sounds like this is a concious drop in standards and across the board of these establishments. We dropped in at jersey street in lisburn on our way home, now we were probably not much over an hour before closing, so I wasnt expecting much. However a lady manager flapping about with a file block going "I need to somehow squeeze all these numbers in before 9 o'clock"; doesnt give me confidence about how these places are being run. I did feel like asking her is that not her own fault, being the manager and all? Also the handwriting all looked the same and all in green ink so I have an idea that she actually overbooked the place herself. I'll not be anywhere near these places again unless I hear somethings changed. I would also discourage anyone else from going and tell them to tell others the same. They are getting lethargic and taking everyones loyalty for granted, while they make money it'll not get better.

Went there Sunday 5th of July. Social distancing was none existent. People being made to queue up, no markers to show where people should stand, was queued up for 15 minutes while there was plenty of open seats and plenty of staff to deal with this but they seemed more concerned with checking their Instagram or laughing with each other than actually doing their job. One way in and one way out or at least it seemed that way and nothing was being enforced. People being made to queue at the till to pay and hovering over peoples tables which was so uncomfortable for those customers. The table layout was a shambles also. People being made to sit in a walkway where every customer walked by and no social distancing enforced there. In regards to the food, it was bland, overpriced and the slightly cold. Waited 30 minutes for 2 burgers but customers and bigger parties who arrived after me were served before me, a ploy to make you buy more drinks I think. Worst dining experience I've had in a long time. Will never ever set foot in the place again. Wish I could give it 0 stars.

Really shocked and appalled that this has happened today. Went to bubba drews for a family meal and the ordered the chicken basket.the chicken was raw and dripping with blood was in that much shock i forgot to take a picture. They took the meal off the price of the bill. But that does not do justice very dangerous practice especially with chicken and the fact im 8 months pregnant. Will not be back.

Had my Dad & kids here for a lunch. Staff were lovely & that's were the good experience stopped. Food was average, restrooms needed looking at & inside the restaurant needed a good deep clean. Dust thick on top if the lights above were you're eating and all them artificial plants & decorations around the walls. Enough to make me not want to rush back anytime soon.

Great food, fast, friendly service

This is 3rd visit after an appointment at Craigavon hospital. Thought at some visit we would hit it lucky with the waiting time. No. Again we ordered food promptly enough but had to wait 40 minutes on a fry and a starter. Ridiculous. It was only 11 am and not busy. Two waitresses quite pleasant when asked how much longer we would had to wait on food. Coming from the catering industry it baffles me why such a place takes so so long to deliver out food. Don’t think I will visit again as it really is ridiculously slow.

I regularly go here and the staff are always helpful. Vegetarian menu is really good and my husband, who is a meat eater, has never been let down either.

Great food well presented and not greasy

Went to Abuja Drew’s for a meal before a visit to the cinema as we’d been previously without disappointment. Our main meal was excellent with first class service but after ordering dessert we waited for nearly 30 minutes before anyone came near us to see why we hadn’t received our dessert. Apologies from the waiter who had been of excellent service to us, he wasted no time in getting the dessert to us with more apologies. Only downside to an overall excellent meal, hence why I’ve gave an average rating.
