Great night. Service and food excellent

Food just OK. Atmosphere and decor hasn't changed for years.

The food was lovely and excellent service. The place was fairly full when we arrived but restaurant was empty by 10pm and the bar almost empty. The place was lacking atmosphere. Can't work out what was missing. Not great on a Friday night out when you are home by 10:30pm.

Took the kids for dinner here. Got charged 12.95 each for two childrens dinners. One was gougons and chips the other sausage and chips. Didn't realise until I got home I was overcharged. Just won't be back again

I came to the Bryansburn on December 28th 2023 with my mother and my partner, that my mother was meeting for the first time and the Bryansburn was ultimately the perfect venue for this in terms of them getting acquainted. For the starter, I had the prawn cocktail followed by the sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce and chips which is my favourite meal. The food was absolutely delicious and the steak was cooked to its ultimate perfection which was medium rare, combined with the peppercorn sauce. As each mouthful made contact with my taste buds, it sure was a living paradise and I ensured the plate was left empty as it was so good!! I also had two glasses of red wine which complimented the steak really well. I can’t remember if I had a dessert or not, but I will definitely remember to have one next time as I happened the see the waiters carrying the desserts and the portions are very generous!! My mother and partner enjoyed their meals too and the staff was so lovely and extremely friendly!! My very bed regards and compliments to the chefs and all the staff!! Thank you very much and I will ensure to make a repeat visit when I am back in the country!!

Outstanding 🤩 we were at the Bryansburn Inn today for Mother’s Day lunch…u couldn’t fault it! Complimentary ‘Mum-osa’ on arrival 🍸 The food was delicious, we had the three course special set menu with roast beef and lamb for mains…clear plates all around. The service was excellent they couldn’t have been more attentive with a special mention to Annemarie who went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic meal! We will definitely be back again very soon.

Mothers day / Mothers 80th Birthday lunch, there were 15 of us and we couldn't fault a thing, the whole experience was wonderful , food delicious with extremely professional staff made our afternoon amazing. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back. Thanks again to all at the Bryansburn .

Have been here in several occassions. The food is first class, piping hot delicious meals every time. The service is top notch, always looked after by all the great staff! Highly recommend this place for a great meal or even a quiet drink in Bangor!

We had a 25th wedding anniversary family meal in the restaurant on Tuesday night and the whole experience was great. Very friendly relaxed atmosphere and the food was amazing. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the staff specially Stephanie were very attentive and made sure we had everything we required. Have to also give a shout out to the chiefs in the kitchen. Thank you for making it a great night.

We had Sunday roast and absolutely enjoyed it. The staff were very attentive and the guiness was great. Will definitely be back again soon.

Had the best seafood chowder I’ve ever had!

Honestly one of the nicest Sunday Roasts I've had and desert was amazing. Staff are brilliant very attentive will definitely be back.

Food as always was 1st class, special menu updated every time we visit at least 5 assorted specials which differ on every visit. I had seafood dish was so fresh, wife had the roast beef, kids ate every bit of their dinner. Staff so friendly and curtious. A special mention to Derek who is so welcoming, friendly and accommodating always takes time out to catch up with the kids. Honestly such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere love this place

We had Sunday lunch today and the food was great. Well done on having an excellent vegetarian menu, I had the vegetarian lasagne and it was delicious.

Always my go-to for a good feed and a drink. Very welcoming staff and the atmosphere is always great. It could be super busy or a little quieter and you will get the same attention from the staff every time. Loads of food options for everyone and chefs are very accommodating with changes or answering any questions. Food is always fantastic and with weekly specials there’s always something new to try. The type of place you could bring the whole family and there will be something there to suit everyone.

My wife and I went on saturday evening, staff very polite, food was fantastic, with lots of choice, a very comprehensive menu. Compliments to the chefs the food was amazing and good sized portions. Puts other restaurants in North Down to shame. If you have never been here give it a try you won't be disappointed.

The Sunday lunch is a must for us, wonderful roasts plus large normal menu. Booking is advised. The menu caters for all tastes, and children have their own menu too. Plenty of parking space and good food wheelchair accessible.

Went in on Christmas Eve after a few years away with a group of friends. The food was ok but what annoyed me was the attitude of some of the staff they really have a can’t do attitude. I went to the restaurant bit and said could I have some menus for the group and was told they had to be brought to the table not handed over so we waited for them to arrive. Then when I was leaving I got some money changed to pay the bill, by a happy to help younger barman only to be told off by an older bartender that I shouldn’t be coming to the bar for drinks. I wasn’t? Maybe these older staff like to boss around their younger staff members but they should think twice about doing it to customers. Won’t rush back as a fifty year old professional I don’t need a lecture from a barman!

There on Friday night. Very over priced for what we received.. no crackers on table. No Christmas atmosphere, we ate and left to find a good party atmosphere elsewhere.

Christmas outing with a group of 12. Meals were pre-ordered with the choice of the Christmas menu or regular menu. This was a good idea for our group (as decisions can sometimes take a while), and the starters came within 15 minutes of being seated. The staff were very busy with practically every table consisting of a large group, but they never stopped being attentive, helpful and friendly to each one. Food was delicious and there were no complaints coming from our table. Great night.

We are a motorbike group called scar , and had our pre toy run lunch at the brynsburn inn, firstly the welcome .. which is as important as the meal was just fantastic , meal , service, crack , was second to none . We can only say thankyou all for making it special 👌💪🤗

Called in today on a recommendation, ordered the Ultimate roast, food was faultless, staff were friendly, TV is the bar was showing on a football match which was a little loud but manageable, all in all a good experience until the bill came, £73! For 5 courses between 2 was a bit steep I thought given the portion size of the starter/dessert😔

Busy spot, even on a very wet Saturday evening. Dining room has a good atmosphere, staff are well organised and service is quick and friendly. Open pass kitchen, if you like to see the chefs at work. Good menu options, but would have liked to have seen more fish dishes. Chocolate ice cream/brownie sundae for dessert was great way to finish the meal.

Wonderful evening celebrating out daughter’s engagement. The function room was perfect, plenty of space for all. The venue was spotlessly clean. Buffet was fabulous, great selection of sandwiches and hot finger food. Staff were amazing and very attentive.

My son and I had Sunday lunch here today and, even though it was very busy - always a good sign-the food was delicious and the staff were very pleasant and attentive. I had roast beef and my son had the burger.

As regular customers for Sunday lunch, always a wonderful experience, it's been a pleasure and privilege to have been greeted warmly by Ian the manager. Great place food lovely the roast beef was tender and delicious Hubby got burger he loved it Plenty of seating and nice dinning room if you didn't want to sit in bar area.

Lovely meal good service . Only thing missing was entertainment to encourage you to stay on for a drink . Visited several times since food is excellent and consistent service is superb very professional staff have obviously been well trained and very knowledgeable with menu . One of the better selections of vegetarian options having several . The ice cream specials to die for . Well worth every penny .

Called in today family of 7 staff was lovley esp the bar man we sat in lounge bar man was full of craic and friendly banter food was absolutely delicious 🤤 and well timed when I say there wasn’t a crumb left on any plate including the children’s I mean not a crumb we all had deserts and for 7 people with drinks the price was great too

Went for Sunday dinner on 6th Aug.....received a lovely courteous welcome upon arrival. We hadn't booked but that was no problem at all....as for the food it was lovely presented and what I could only label as a taste sensation. Can't wait to go back....plus the service was great also...= 5 🌟

Back to its best for food and the staff are great .Nothing is ever to much trouble. Not much on the menu for vegetarians. It would of been good if they had of changed the lay out of the bar ,not great for watching football.

Phoning to make a booking was not the best part, I had to make several calls before someone answered, but wasn't too friendly. Management could also enforce their instruction at the door to prevent people from standing at it and smoking at it. The meal was very good, the servers were friendly and helpful. Good value.

We went for my dad's birthday party with 12 people. Waiter was very loud, practically shouted. Food poor especially the burgers, this was reported to staff who were going to pass onto chef but never came back. Would not recommend and will not return. This is not the first report I have heard of this.

I want to give this place 5 for service and 2 for food so 3 stars is I think a good compromise. Staff are welcoming, efficient and professional and are a great asset to this property. Our Sunday lunch sirloin of beef was however very disappointing. The beef was sliced too thickly, had minimum flavour and had a vein of fat running through the middle. Should have chosen the special fish dish, will do so next time.

My wife and I arranged to have our wedding meal at the Bryansburn Inn in early January 2022 following our small ceremony at the Town Hall in Bangor.Before the event itself we met with Ian who from first meeting felt like someone who you had known for years. Ian put us both at ease, listened to our requirements in terms of the date and numbers and then essentially drafted up a plan of the event we could have.After being turned away or ignored by other venues in the area due to our low numbers (we had 23 in the end including bride/groom) it was a breath of fresh air to be so welcomed and actually be offered anything at all but what Ian did offer actually turned out to be perfect for us and we would not have changed a thing.Everything from start to finish everything was superb, Allah, Paul and the team at Bryansburn more than looked after us. The service was fantastic, the food was exceptional and everyone just had a great time, as the groom I didn't really have to worry about a thing (except perhaps giving a speech!).The venue was perfect for our wedding and we would encourage anyone to consider this venue. We have received such lovely compliments from our guests and everyone had a fantastic time, I will definitely be back for a meal in future, especially if the fried brie is on the menu!Thanks again to Ian, Allah, Paul and the rest of the staff at The Bryansburn Inn for everything.

Bryansburn inn were able to accommodate our last minute birthday party arrangements with no problem. The staff were honestly amazing and couldn’t have been more helpful. The food was also lovely and we all felt soo relaxed. Would def be back.

Popped in today for brunch with my boyfriend and his mother. The food was absolutely beautiful and we were served efficiently. Credit to the owner Ian whose rapport with his staff has created an inviting, family friendly and joyous environment. The restaurant and bar area are Covid safe with social distancing and ventilation in place all while maintaining the lively hospitality reputation we are all missing during the pandemic. Would most certainly recommend!

Well thank you the Bryansburn restaurant once again exceeded all expectations and the mushrooms were done beautifully as to my steak done to perfection as always and to round it off I had a strawberry and vanilla sundae as for jenny my wife she had the salmon again beautifully done to perfection so once again 10 out of 10 for service presentation and above all vfm see you again soon

Supprised how busy it was when we arrived but our drinks order was taken as soon as we were seated.My choice was turkey and ham with all the trimmings but have to say the thick slices of roast beef and gravy looked absolutely delicious.Nice selection of desserts are available and service was excellent.one waiter in particular has a great sence of humour.

Absolutely fantastic celebration in every way, made amazing by the great food and attentive service. The head waiter went out of his way to make this party a huge success for Dad, nothing was too much trouble and they bent over backwards to make it a great event. So from initial contact with Ian, he eased our minds, suggested a choice of menus; organised room layout and discussed times with us, we went with every suggestion! We had a four course meal and every guest raved about the food! It was plentiful and there was a choice for starter, mains and dessert. The food was hot, delicious and amazing. The then moved to maxwells function suite fro our evening reception and it is a wow room fitted out gorgeously in sumptuous red velvet. We loved it and again the guests were commenting on how gorgeous the room was. We opted for an evening buffet and again all the food was delicious and plentiful. Our wedding day was simply perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for Ian and he overseen our entire day with Allah who deserves a special mention as he is just a diamond! They had a few meetings with is, kept the day running smoothly and Allah introduced us. Both Ian and Allah engaged with our guests fantastically. We are so thankful and forever grateful guys. A party of us had an evening meal here. The meals were quickly and carefully served. Staff were helpful. It was exceptionally busy, possibly a bit overcrowded. There were several large groups.

There were 9 of us out for a 30th Birthday Meal and we all had a great time. Food was plentiful and really good quality and taste, served quickly with a smile. The Bryansburn should be No1 in Bangor as some of the other restaurants couldn’t hold a candle to them, but I know where we’ll be going from now on and we’d definitely recommend.

Called in recently for some lunch, had open prawn sandwich and Brie starter , both dishes were excellent , the Brie was freshly made and the open prawn was just the very best I have ever had everything on the plate was fresh and even can I say the very lettuce was the crispiest ever . Would highly recommend these dishes .

Visited with my girlfriend on Sunday for dinner and I have to say it is the best meal I have ever ate in my life all three were top quality and were out so quite the service was excellent I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone

Well what can I say! Having spent 17 years living in Portugal we have struggled to have a decent meal in Bangor since we returned. This Seunday lunch was fantastic. Lovely staff, well spaced tables, great ambience and faultless food. We will most certainly be back

In Bangor and the surrounding area I have dined in several restaurants to celebrate my birthday. Today I was treated to Sunday lunch by my friend at the Bryansburn Inn and I have to say it was by far the best meal of them all. The moment we walked through the door we were greeted and made to feel so welcome and relaxed. The menu had a great variety to choose from. We decided to have the Roast beef dinner ( real Sunday lunch). The cleanliness of the restaurant and its facilities were 5 star and I can honestly say that it was one of the best meals I have eaten in some time. Thank you for making my birthday treat extra special!

Very helpful staff, and as a coeliac was well catered for. The only downside was that my partners order was completely wrong but quickly rectified. Would return.

Was in yesterday for a private party. From the start we were made welcome. The food was absolutely delicious and everything was well organised. Constant top-ups of tea/coffee. My own birthday is coming up so definitely will come back then.

In keeping with our vow to support local businesses, we were so happy to return to one of our all-time local favourite restaurants. Prior to the pandemic, this would have been a regular venue for us, and it will do so again. The food was of its usual high standard, the atmosphere was wonderful and the staff as warm and welcoming as ever. What better testament to add to our review, other than there were very many people enjoying the same experience.

Last three visits I had liver, steak and beef cooked in ale. ALL three meats were tender, even my well done steak. Consistent food delivered in a premises that is large and well spaced. Also recommend the sweet chilli chicken. Still the best in Bangor.

We had our wedding reception in the Bryansburn Inn on the 2nd of September with 30 guests, the food was outstanding and the service was exceptional. A big thank you to Paul and all the staff who looked after us so well.

This place is Disney land in Northern Ireland. You walk in and instantly transported into another world. Great service great food, ice cold beer. It most certainly is pure here.

For the first time we had to go for a special deal meal and we was not dissapointed first time I've had a steak on a Monday and it was fantastic as ever staff as polite courteous and helpful as they always are the experience was happy as always despite the corvid and we would not hesitate in going back again although the chef who did my steak should reconsider moving into our house he is a credit to this establishment and highly regarded in my house as fantastic keep up the great work all of you see you bank holiday Monday

After 3 or 4 months of 'shielding' I was a bit concerned about going out for a meal, to say the least. The first place I thought of was the Bryansburn Inn, I have visited on several occasions previously and never been disappointed with the food or the excellent customer service and care of the staff. It lived up to all my expectations. I felt the thought and care that had been put into the repositioning of tables giving very good distances between was excellent, which is indicative of the ethos of the company in general, 'look after your customers and staff' From the minute we arrived we were greeted by Ian Carmichael and his staff in their usual warm friendly manner and felt very comfortable from the beginning and throughout the meal. I'm very pleased I chose the Inn as my first venture 'into the outside world' after lockdown/shielding. I would certainly return with renewed confidence and like to thank Mr Carmichael and his very kind and caring staff for what was a lovely evening with, naturally, it's usual high standard of food presentation and quality. Congratulation to the kitchen brigade. Your motto should be we don't disappoint !

Fabulous Food & fabulous Staff ! After a warm welcome by the owner Ian Carmichael we enjoyed a few pre dinner drinks before ordering our food , the restaurant & bar has great atmosphere, the menu had something to please everyone , well priced and quality food from the Sunday roasts to fresh fish , steak burgers and pasta , as I live in Bangor it is with great confidence that I continually recommend this restaurant to everyone, if you haven’t been try it you won’t be disappointed ‍
