Brilliant in Ealing

A very nice evening. The food was good, the beer and wine were good, and the service was nice and friendly. So nothing at all to moan about. We read about small portions and expensive but not at all. Good portions and very reasonable prices we thought. We would certainly go again if we were ever back in the area.

Delicious food and great service from our waiter (didn't ask his name but do know he is from Goa). He was very helpful and attentive. Would recommend this restaurant.

We arrived without making a booking, asked for a table for 3 and we were told we’d have to wait, no problem we had a couple of drinks. The place was packed which to me means it must be good. We got to our table after about 1/2 hr. The waiter was very attentive and helpful, especially with me as I have allergies to wheat, barley and rye. We all had seekh kebabs for a starter after the popadoms. Picked these as I’d seen them being made on the James Martin show. They were gorgeous. I was recommended methi chicken, I had it with plain rice. It was lovely Got a visit to out table from Bishen Dass, he told us that he and his family ate the same food at home, I wish I could eat that well at home everyday. No problem recommending this restaurant to anyone. Will try to make a return at some time but it’s a long way from Sunderland.

Fantastic food, wonderful service, exceptional staff. Love coming here. Coming again 30th March with my family for my birthday.

Amazing food, fantastic service, buzzing atmosphere, and great history. Will definitely go back. Ideal place to go to if hoteling ahead of a flight, proper restaurant instead of hotel food. 10 out of 10.

I took a team from work there for a Christmas meal and it was an excellent meal. The service was friendly and attentive, I felt as though we had our own private waiter making sure everything ran smoothly. Food delivery was well paced, we were offered the chance for a bit of a break between starters and mains. At the end of the meal and indeed afterwards everyone commented that they had really enjoyed the food with several saying it was the best of it’s kind they had ever tasted. Some interesting dishes making it different from your typical High Street “Indian”

I found the food not really special and it was quite expensive and service charge way high. I will never go there again.There are many restaurants here so I won’t miss this one.

We went to Brilliant for dinner after seeing the owner and her dad on James Martin Saturday kitchen live. My dad was very eager to go for his birthday and try their food. We were very let down but the lack of service and attentiveness from the staff and the bland food. After complaining about one of the dishes which had no taste we were not compensated for it. Very watery daal and lack of flavour in all of the dishes. We had to go up to the bar to ask for the bill as the staff were not always see on the floor and was not very busy for a Wednesday evening.

We were a mixed party of adults and children and this was my restaurant of choice for a special occasion. I had wanted to go for ages after seeing Gulu and Dipna Anand on Saturday Kitchen. Finally I got to taste their food, it was fabulous. As there was a large group of us we opted for a set meal and left it in their expert hands. Oh my goodnes the taste was fantastic and the whole meal fabulous. It was surprising to see Gulu and Dipna actually very much in charge, they both looked fabulous and we were treated like royalty. A rare 5* award from me. It's a bit of a journey for us to get there but I hope to go again soon.

Amazing. I dined alone last Wed 27th Sept. Lovely greeting by the owner, very passionate about the food. I am indian and I could tell it is very authetic and real with fresh high quality food. The mixed grill is perfect, very juicy and plenty of food for 1 or even 2. Great service by the team, great ambience and the ebst food. I will def be back soon! Thanks Gary M (Ranjit)

We ate here as a group of 5 friends. Service was outstanding and the food was absolutely fantastic. Great value too. Will definitely return!

We travelled from Northamptonshire to dine here via East London where we picked up our daughter so it was a bit of a trek! That said, we absolutely were not disappointed. We were greeted as friends when they remembered my emailing re parking. The waiter was very helpful in describing the dishes and sensibly discouraged us from over ordering. The rice for one was more than adequate for the three of us. The mixed grill starter, after popadoms and pickles (which were sublime and plentiful) was superb. We each had a curry and my wife and daughter shared. My Karahi prawn was too good to share! The nan bread was delicious and so much better than the half inch thick doughy breads in some places. First rate authentic food. After dinner, Mr Anand came into the restaurant as we were leaving. We had a very pleasant conversation and bought the cook books which he kindly signed. All in all a very good meal and pleasant experience that we will repeat. Thanks for a lovely evening

I have been going brilliant restaurant for 30 years and I went today with my family and quality of food has gone done. Their butter chicken used to be the best - however it was watery full of red colour with extra salt & not what it used to be. I provided feedback and the manager was not much interested! Shame and it will not be on my list and I would not recommend this place anymore.

Ordered kebab roll which. Was supposed to be in egg batter but was just shish kebab paneer could not be found in paneer dish just gravy bhajia was raw everything was bland prices are expensive for all dishes the name brilliant should now be not brilliant anymore have been here 3 times in last 6months but disappoints every time this is not the place for a good meal avoid this place and save your money there are much better restaurants in Southall than this and not as expensive

Service was very good ! Too good to be honest, as everyone who work there is very polite . This was my first visit , as I have been wanted come here for a really long time and today was that day. FOOD however was not that brilliant, it would have been at some point , as that’s why Gordon went there while back , but that was than and this is now . Highly recommend management to look into this , as having a typical curry house may not have long legs going forward .

Absolutely delicious food. Been many times and never been disappointed. Staff are very friendly and polite but a big shout out to Fernandes who has been our server each time and is a great guy. Very friendly and chatty but never over bearing. Quick and efficient with our order and quick to get drink refills.

This was a magnificent experience! From the fine service from Fernandes to the deliciousness that came from the chef. I travel to London often and this is my new #1 stop. Lamb chops that are out of this world scrumptious! Please give this place a try!!!!

Having seen Dipna Anand on James Martin we just had to try her and her fathers unique style of cooking. We were amazed by the quality and fantastic flavours in the wide range of dishes we ate. The service that evening by Fernandes and his colleagues was outstanding. Our guest said, "after eating in over 100 different Indian restaurants that was the best experience they had enjoyed. "Brillant" keep up the good work.

Had a great meal, which was top quality, tasty and very good value (10th September 2021)We booked at short notice and restaurant was fully booked. Our waiter Fernandez resolved the booking issue without a fuss and we were made very welcome. Chef Dipna, part of the owning family, came to the table for a chat, which was a nice touch.We shall return ... knowing now to book in advance.

We visited Brilliant Restaurant as a group of 12 to celebrate my daughters 10th birthday. The food was amazing especially the Jhinga Prawns! The kids were able to enjoy the food as it wasn’t too spicy either. The service was impeccable, the staff were all very attentive especially Sarabjeet, thank you so much! We will definitely be visiting again, highly recommend!

We have been here twice in the past month and each time has been a fantastic visit. Our most recent visit we had the most amazing service by Fernandez he made the dinner feel special. The food is delicious and the special butter chicken is a must try dish when you visit. 10/10 restaurant.

This is by far the best restaurant for a good hearty Indian meal. The food is absolutely amazing cooked to perfection to savour.We enjoyed a well prepared delicious meal with fantastic service.Highly recommend this restaurant to eat in and also my favourite for take alway as well.Well Done to Dipna and her team you are absolutely brilliant!!

We went to this restaurant last night and experienced a culinary delight. The flavours in the food were outstanding, the best Asian food we have tasted. The service was first class too. Friendly waiters who were attentive but not in your face. Cannot say anything more about what a fantastic place this is and we’ll worth a visit and return visits

We were remembered from our previous visits, well before covid. The service was absolutely impeccable. Food was even more delicious and perfectly prepared than before. This is not an ordinary curry house. If you order a large meal with all the extras, it may seem expensive.

I started following Brilliant Restaurant, it’s owners Gulu Anand Priya Anand on Instagram during the first lockdown. The food looked amazing and decided that it will be the first restaurant I would visit once lockdowns were properly lifted and on Saturday we went and were not disappointed. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was buzzing & the service was fantastic . We were lucky enough to meet Guluji & Dipna who really made us welcomed & felt as though we were eating at they home. A sigh of a homely restaurant. Can’t wait to go again and would highly to all.

On an overnight stay at Heathrow, we chose to eat here partly because of the proximity to the airport, partly because of the great name, and partly because of the menu, which sounded lovely - a type of cuisine we were unfamiliar with, quite different from the usual Bangladeshi / Pakistani / Kashmiri curries we get at home. The food was superb, excellent, high quality, extremely flavoursome: good range of very tasty home-made pickles & chutnies, gorgeous succulent chicken, fabulous gourd dumplings, delicious breads, aromatic desserts, decent wines on offer. The staff were delightful, friendly & very helpful when it came to answering all our questions about unfamiliar ingredients. Nice ambience too. And, extremely good value for money. Highly recommended, will definitely go again when in the area.

Although not been in a while, the quality of some of the food has somewhat deteriorated over time.....and so has the size of the portions. As an example these are supposed to be 4 "generously filled" samosas. No way! Less than a half teaspoon of filling in each one, tiny and covered in a thick layer of pastry/dough. The chilli mogo was very dry and extremely chewy and the starter butter chicken had a weird, distinct smell - but that may be due to the plastic container it came in. The rest of the food was ok, but not as good or as excellent as I would expect. I know the samosas are only £3 but come on guys, at least try to make some sort of effort. Wouldn't have minded even 2 decent sized, properly filled ones. Saying all that, service was great. Eating in is a much better experience so will not be ordering take away again. Still gave a 3 out of 5 because you guys are doing well during the troubling times of Lockdown.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Brilliant Restaurant for a wonderful meal! Always our go To for an Indian take away. We ordered the Tilapia Fish and Tandoori Paneer Tikka for starters! The best tasting Paneer I have had from any restaurant. Mains of course Butter Chicken and the Palak Lamb! This was WOW! Thank you for the wonderful service and we look forward to eating in your restaurant after lockdown!

we visited this restaurant with friends and family, the food is fantastic ,starters of seekh kebabs the best we have ever tasted, and nice portions too, also butter chicken wings, and chicken tikka, simply lovely taste, mains of masala lamb chops lamb briyani, chicken tikka masala, buttered chicken , which was delicious, steamed rice , pillau rice ,big portions , not like other curry places we visited , sides were fantastic too , alu gobi, bhindi , palakaloo, pershawri naan, garlic naan, butter naan, all delicious, drinks , kingfishers malibu ,bombay sapphire , classic mojitos , waiter service fantastic, the whole atmosphere, was great the decor brillant, they toilets spotless clean , we will definitely return to this simply the best restaurant ,love all the staff, here,

Visited Friday 4th September as we were staying nearby visiting relatives the cab driver that took us there said the place had a good reputation, it’s a reputation that it’s worthy of, from the moment we walked in the service was excellent, I don’t often eat Indian food preferring other cuisine, but this was without doubt the best Indian food I have ever had, I told them so at the time, they probably thought I was just being nice but it was that good, restaurant is run by father and daughter team and she has written books and is an award winning chef, price for such quality was very reasonable at £216 for 6 of us including drinks, I said I’d return when in the area and I will, definately worth a visit

The first time myself and my husband visited Brilliant was about 15 years ago and it was a disaster, the vegetable kofte that we bit in to were still frozen and the service slow and unenthusiastic.Fast forward to August 2020 we decided to give it another go based on the fact that I follow Dipna Anand’s recipes and we heard good things from fellow diners. Well what can I say the food was delicious and the service was on point considering we went during the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme. We visited twice during this period and on both occasions the restaurant kindly accommodated us at the very last minute. The food was delicious especially the chicken tika masala and we absolutely loved the masala fries! The virgin cocktails are lovely too. Our food was served only when we said we were ready for it. The waiting staff were all really busy but still very attentive. The lovely Sardar Ji whom I presume was a manager also made us laugh with a few humorous comments!Now just two things that the restaurant need to improve on.The first time I called to book I was greeted with the words ‘shut up you stupid idiot’ I said ‘pardon? Which was followed by ‘oh sorry not you! When we arrived at the restaurant I can only think of the two young boys in jeans and trainers behind the bar were the ones arguing over the phone. Secondly I observed that the beauty Ganesh murti by the entrance was covered in thick dust and a few cobwebs... this was disappointing and quite sad to see especially as a practicing Hindu. Cleanliness is next to Godliness so please give Ganesh ji the attention he rightly deserves hence the 4 star review. It’s a shame that they have set a minimum spend of £25 per person to be eligible for the extended Eat Out to Help our Offer as we are a family of 5 and it will still be expensive. As far as food and service go we will 100% visit again. The food was lush and the service was great. Thank you Brilliant Team

We booked to go here as they were offering 50%off with the Eat out to help out scheme. We sat upstairs and the service was very good. The food was well presented and came out quickly. A few burnt bits on the mixed grill foods but we didn’t say anything as the service was so good. Would definitely recommend the paneer tikka as a starter dish.

Had a number of take outs from this excellent venue (we are a Midlands based Courier and able to collect food from all the UK's best Indian Restaurants, a perk of the job). This time we were able to eat in, staying in Hayes overnight. A friendly greeting at the door and a Covid 19 forehead temperature check before entering the restaurant. We were taken to our table with all staff wearing face masks and social distancing being strictly observed. Our food included Chicken Tikka, Hot Chicken Jalfrezi, Tarka Dall (the best I have ever had) and we also had a substantial take away to return to Stafford with. This restaurant continues to be up there with the very best and we have eaten at London's finest and many others throughout the UK, to list just a few Tamarind in Mayfair, Bombay Brasserie in Kensington, Chutney Mary in Chelsea, The Cinnamon Club in Westminster and Veeraswamy, Regent Street. This review is all about the food, not the building, the price, quantity or the service. Cannot wait to return to Brilliant and again we must apologise for leaving the restaurant with not only our take away but someone else's (in error)

Been going to Brilliant for many years, this place serves great food.I know many other happy and positive customers that rave about this place, it can get packed out during peak hours, book and reserve ahead.Located near the M4/Heathrow LHR, great for a pre/post flight meal.Also not far from Costco, if you are driving for shopping give this place a try for lunch (Tues to Fri 12-3) Otherwise go for a lovely dinner.All dishes are absolutely delicious, our favourites are the Tandoori Lamb Chops, Spicy Chicken and Masala Fries, plus many more great and wonderful dishes.Sometimes, this place is packed full of diners, be prepared to wait for the wonderful food.I admire the way this restaurant, is owned and operated by a wonderful family, they take great pride in service and customer care.The father, Mr Gulu and his daughter, Dipna do engage with customers for feedback and customer satisfaction, I am well impressed.Best manager I have come across, Mr Sarabjeet - this guy is amazing, knows how to take care of customers!Southall/Hayes are wonderful Indian areas to explore for ethnic shopping and various types of restaurants, however, BRILLIANT is the BEST!!!

The restaurant definitely lives up to its name. The food is excellent and the service we received from Sarab was outstanding, always makes you feel valued. Couldn’t ask for anymore and will definitely be revisiting.

First time I went to brilliant restaurant was 10 years. Since then we have never looked back. The ambiance is amazing, staff are very friendly. Sarabjeet (Manager) is great, he knows our order by heart. Methi chicken is the one to go for and if vegetarian Dal Makhani is not to miss. Its a great family run business, have recommended to many friends and wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone who wants the best authentic Indian Curry.

My wife and I went to celebrate her birthday at Brilliant. The greeting from the manager (Sarabjeet) was exceptional, as was the service. This is a restaurant that knows how to cater for its customers. Our every request was adhered to. The food was the best I have ever tasted in an Indian restaurant. The vegetable Koftey melted in our mouths. The paneer dish was absolutely delicious. I ate far more than what I should have.The dessert we ordered was the Gajar ka Halwa. It was served with ‘Happy Birthday’ being sung to my wife and a small sparkler. A brilliant touch with left us pleasantly surprised. But the Halwa was scrumptious and a must have after such a marvellous meal.I am never one for writing reviews, but this was such a memorable experience at having dined at Brilliant, that I cannot praise enough the food, the service and attention to detail by Sarabjeet

Went for dinner, ordered food and and got it within 20 mins. The Mrs had ordered veg samosas but got non veg ones. Complained to the waiter but all he could say was sorry. So I said can you call the manager and he went up to the young lady (who is the owner’s daughter, I think her name is dipna) and she nodded in the negative to him. She in turn whispers something to her dad who in turn makes a face as if he doesn’t have a care in the world for anyone. So we didn’t create a fuss but just paid and left. I later on found out after doing some research that I wasn’t the first person. So why were they doing this is because apparently we were not appropriately dressed to be in their establishment. Basically you ain’t dressed proper p*** off from my establishment is their motto. Also ridiculously priced. Not worth visiting at all!

First time visiting after looking at mixed reviews. We arrive around 10 minutes early to our booking and was told to take a seat at a none existent waiting area (it was 2 chairs next to the till) so we decided to stand and wait at the bar which we weren't overly bothered about as we were early. We were stood awkwardly at the bar hoping that the lady behind the bar would take our drinks orders whilst we waited, but no.... my partner had to prompt her and tell her we wanted drinks whilst we waited. After around 15 minutes we were seated, it was a little cramped and the waiters were tripping over chairs. We were then greeted by a nice waiter, ( this he was the head waiter) who took our orders promptly. After placing our order we must of waited 45 minutes for our main courses to arrive. The waiter did come over to apologise for the wait as he could see us getting a little agitated, and offered us complimentary drinks. Finally the food arrived, but again there was 2 dishes missing. Nevertheless the food was definitely worth the wait, it was hot, well presented and tasted like real indian cooking.I think other than the slow service of some staff members the food was amazing and I'd definitely recommend the food so long as your happy to wait a while.

We visited this restaurant yesterday evening from Rugby for a birthday meal, which was ruined by the service in this restaurant. It was clearly very busy as we had to wait up to 2 hrs for our starters and that we only received after asking 3-4 times as the kids were extremely hungry by now... we had another long wait for the mains as well... it seemed they only had a 2-3 waiters for 7 large groups of tables appx 15-20 on each table! Also my 7yr old found the starters very spicy so I ordered a chicken tikka washed for her and I was told I can order it but it will take 40 mins as they are very busy ! That’s too long for a child to wait when they have just wait for starters that has taken 2 hrs to come out !! Then to finally top it off we paid our £430 bill half on card and half cash and within the cash amount we had given a small tip and the guy walked away with the money and counted it away from the table only to return to say we gave £6 short when we hadn’t so we ended up having to give another £6 on top ...we gave him a £10 and he ended up giving £3 change instead of £4 ! So all I say ppl make sure you count the money clearly in front of the waiter so they can see and ensure if they count the money they do it in front of you !! Also ensure you are prepared to wait a very long time for your food...!Food was ok but your in Southall the heart of Asian food every restaurant is going to have good food ! Good food comes with good trustworthy service and if you don’t have both of these then you might as well keep walking to the next restaurant...! Well this is definitely one of those restaurants just keep walking to the next one people !!

5 people eating at the Restaurant for a Birthday meal on a clearly very busy night.Service was uphauling and spoilt enjoyment of the food coming out of the kitchen which really was fabulousStarters did not all arrive together and ended up waiting 15 minutes for the mixed grill. Regrettably not a one-off as then waited 40 minutes after starters were cleared for mains and had to enquire / chase for these.Did not get impression front of house was working closely with kitchen and no sign of anyone CLEARLY in charge to ensure all tables are being served / customers happy.... waiters were not attentively looking to ensure all ok and sure sign all is not well.I get impression great work done with PR, Branding and food of this restaurant (which made us choose the restaurant for our meal) ...Service did not have same level of attention and despite the good food will not be coming back or recommend to others.

Very surprised that Brilliant is closed on weekends for lunch. Any credible restaurant should be able and have the resources, to run a lunch and dinner service. Unfortunately Brilliant have have lost all credibility in my opinion, due to this issue.

Had a takeaway tonight for my birthday. £75 for 3 people. Completely dissapointed with the food. Had 1/2 a Maseladar lamb which was just about enough for one at £19.00. A chicken curry which had 7 small pieces of chicken with a watery gravy. The portions are really small. The rasmalai at £3.50 each is akin to the Royal rasmalai which sells at £ 2.75 for 4. Mr Ramsey should dig his head in sand to sponsor a rubbish eatery. These people here to disappoint your big day. Please avoid. There are are a lot of restaurants with better service around Southall. Shop around.

We organised a surprise birthday party for our dad and were so impressed by the level of service we received. The staff went out of their way to assist when necessary. The Brilliant Restaurant is a family favourite - a reliable and welcoming atmosphere always awaits. The food is to a high standard in terms of taste and service. Thank you to the whole Brilliant team.

Delicious punjabi food, just what we needed after days of eating turkey and sprouts. We had lamb gosht, okra, basmati rice, chapatti, raita. Dessert rasmali and carrot halwa. Good service overall - best to book

quite hyped up for what it is. not the best for ‘fine dining’. service was excellent. very much did enjoy the mix starter. the main dishes were quite disappointing to say the least. however it was not the worst experience. still enjoyed my time there and had a decent meal.

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Didn’t order too much as I had a large lunch but the dish was outstanding. Nice recommendation on the wine too and all backed up by great service.

Returning to the Midlands in the capacity of Courier the temptation to call in to Brilliant for take-away food was too great as I knew from the past that they open at lunch time and they are 8 minutes from the M25 - spot on! Our food included Tarka Dall, hot Chicken Curries, Chicken Tikka and Aloo Gobi. Having tried many, many indian restaurants in the UK, they include Tamarind in Mayfair, Bombay Brasserie in Kensington and Veeraswamy, Regent Street. I can tell you Brilliant is the real deal and up there with the best that I have ever eaten. Can't wait to return the next time I am in the area

Thoroughly enjoyed an evening here as a group celebrating a friend’s birthday. Starters were very generous and dishes were adapted to exactly suit requests. All the dishes were extremely tasty and service had the perfect mix of being there when needed but not overbearing. Lots of families were there while we were there so I would recommend to all!

Absolutely appalling for our first time visiting this restaurant. Me and my partner visited the restaurent after watching the faceoff between another restaurent on a Gordon Ramsay program. My partner really wanted to try it out as it was down the road and we had never tried it despite living in London for two years. We ordered the fish pakora, chicken karai, lamb masala and rice. The fish was actually cooked beautifully and tasted great. But after that, everything went negative. The rice was undercooked and reminded us of uncle Ben's style rice, it definitely was not fresh. Then the chicken was undercooked and not fresh at all. My lamb dish was okay, nothing special at all, just okay, but the actual lamb itself was flaky and definitely frozen. We spoke of concerns to the manager who assured us that we wouldn't have to pay for the chicken dish and rice. I ate the lamb fully so I didn't expect it to be comped, but the manageress then stated alarmingly that fresh meat tastes exactly the same as frozen meat, and that you can check our suppliers invoice. I am no expert chef, but I come from a family of highly trained chefs and know a bit about food, so i definitely knew from my first bites the meat was not fresh. But to our dismay, after agreeing to the rice and chicken karai being removed from the bill, the manager had insisted that she will take off 20 percent instead as I had enjoyed the lamb. My partner and I were puzzled, then spoke to an assistant who then asked the manageress to discount the chicken dish. The rice wasn't taken off at all, but we didn't press on, we were eager to leave. To add further insult, a service charge of £3 was added. I don't mind giving the waiter serving a tip, but if I'm not happy with the food, I am not paying a service charge for it to go to the owners. That is just cheap. Those waiters worked hard to actually make our experience better and they were about the only think great about the establishment.

I traveled to London for the first time this past weekend and had always heard about how wonderful the Indian food was in London and was looking forward to experiencing great Indian food. Unfortunately I wasn't quite prepared for what I was going to experience. I have experienced Indian cuisine throughout the US (unfortunately I have not yet visited India - on the bucket list) but Brilliant made what I had tried seem inconsequential. The flavors that I experienced while dining at Brilliant were unexpectedly amazing. My party and I started with the Brilliant Tondoori Mixed grill - the chicken, lamb chops , Seekh Kebabs and prawns were cooked perfectly and had me anxiously awaiting the main dishes which were chicken tikka masala, masala lamb with steamed basmati rice and butter naan. The lamb and chicken were so tender I found it hard to believe and the spices, oh the spices.....pure bliss. If my parents had not taught me better, I would have licked all of the dishes clean. If you want to taste excellent Indian food, i highly recommend Brilliant. You will be wowed!!!!

we visited this restaurant for the first time 4 of us , we ordered shish kebab for starters which was the best we have ever eaten,it was fresh tender well presented, so so flavoursome. for the main we ordered 3 biryanis and one lamb chops masala, everyone loved the biryanis lovely taste and ideal fresh flavours, i had the lamb chops masala , IT WAS THE TASTIEST I HAVE EVER HAD,superb a wow, flavours i will remember for ever, we shared a couple of pischari nans, the came llovely and hot so so tasty also well presented, the staff were brillant, drinks brill too, we will definately be back for more of this excellent food, the best food ever, and we have visited many many curry restaurants.

Managed to get a last minute reservation for Diwali evening, great management trying to make this happen rather than just saying NO FULLY BOOKED.

May be we picked the wrong night but the place had two big groups of screaming kids and women. We had to be asked to be moved. The waiters are polite and service good but the food was pretty bad. My chicken curry was basically a thick black jar sauce with pieces of grill chicken just chucked in. The dhal was no better either- pretty tasteless and the pieces of grain was whole and bit firm. I think M&S; or Sainbury’s Indian range taste better. The cook needs to change and try another profession.

Excellent service by Mr Shawn , who served us and chat to us. As well as mr Johny . Food arrived on time they were exquisite.

Last time we visited the restaurant was in 2010 and found the service immaculate , however visiting here again in 2019 we found waiters to be not the most friendliest ... although we came unreserved on Friday evening they did accommodate us but we were offered a table right in the middle of the restaurant.. on requesting to change we got a table facing the wall right next to the kitchen .. which was fine .

We had a reservation for lunch. I rang them just before arrival for guidance on where to park. When we got to the restaurant, it was closed. Don't bother.

Booked a table after many years for a family birthday meal on Saturday but will NEVER dine here again. Drinks were flat and tasteless, service was non-existent and eventually I had to go to the bar and order our food! Even then I felt like I was being an inconvenience. Food arrived after absolutely ages and was absolutely awful. It was tasteless & had no flavour at all. The chicken tasted as if it had been boiled and the kebabs were chewy and gritty. Even the vegetarian dishes were tasteless and tge paneer was rubbery. No waiters attended our table to see if we needed anything and as for the owners they could not be more disinterested in their customers dining experience. No point complaining its not like they care. If they did then customers would not be writing honest reviews such as these. We spent over £200 here and what a waste of money that was. We all spent the rest of our weekend with stomach cramps, an awful after taste that we cannot get rid of and visits to the toilet to clear our system. Our evening was completely ruined by 'Brilliant' who really need to change their name, as they are FAR FROM 'BRILLIANT'. I hope they close down as we can do without overpriced restaurants such as these offering low standard food, no customer service and an awful dining experience overall. Do yourself a favour and find yourselves another restaurant to dine at where you will get both great service and great food.

Very good North Indian food in Southhall. About 15 mins from Heathrow hotels. Service was prompt though not very friendly. Beer and wine are served along with a full bar. The naan are excellent.

Fantastic food and good service. I was happy that they had nutrition info (calories) against some dishes. All in all very good restaurant.

Visited with family, 4 children under 8. The arrogant front of house recommended the specials( its the only good thing he did all night). The special especially the Masala Lamb were exactly that, special. Outside of that however the rest of the food was supermarket quality, possibly the worst Garlic nans and Keema peas I’ve ever had to endure. Whilst bringing our first course out the waiter inadvertently dropped a glass of water, soaking one of our adult diners, and whilst mistakes will happen we only received a cursory apology from the front of house. it took 5 minutes for the broken glass pieces to be picked up from below our table, bearing in mind we were dining with small children this should have been a priority. After an accident like this i would have expected exemplary service, unfortunately not the case here. Service was slow to non existent and disgruntled. We received a complimentary £5 desert that we neither requested nor wanted for the water spillage and not even a customary goodbye or apology from the arrogant catface front of house. Id avoid

I would rate this as good as opposed to average but it was not quite in the VGood bracket. The occasion was a reunion so the company was mainly the reason to visit but I have eaten her some years ago, this time it just seemed to have lost it's shine.

I've eaten here a few times. Today the food was bit average.. the curry base tasted bit burnt.. and chicken a bit firm. Bit disappointed hence average.. plus.. prices have gone up since refurb...

The Brilliant Indian restaurant in Southall is an inspired choice as the title of an eating place. Does it live up to its name? I think not following a recent visit. I can comment positively on the atmosphere and service as being very good. I had no objection to paying the service charge on the bill. However, the food was the main disappointment. The signature chicken dish was poorly presented and was full of small joints of chicken so full of bones. The biriani was dry with no accompanying vegetable curry to offset this. I would describe the rest of the meal as being distinctly average. Certainly not brilliant.

This has always been one of my favourite places to eat and I would travel over 2hours to eat here!

How aptly named. We hadn't visited for a couple of decades and the change from great food but dispiriting décor couldn't be more marked. Now, Brilliant has sharply painted walls and smart tables with immaculate linen. Staff are efficient without being officious. The food was excellent - particularly the starters with the fish pakora being the only duff note - and the mains - minced chicken, cubes of delicious chicken and black dhal - were great. Plus a decent wine list and a price which would put inferior curry houses to shame. We won't leave it so long to visit again.

Went on the strength of it's reputation. However they must be living off past reputation. Food was oily and lacked taste. Very disappointed. Only saving grace was decor ambience.

Defo will come back , food and service was on point , flawless , all starters were served hot , with just the mixtures of spices. Masala fries were crispy and fresh , tilapia fish was amazing

We went hoping for home cooked flavours as I experienced here once before. The starters were nice we had fish pakoras and lamb somosas.

There is so much I can add - so I had organised my birthday dinner at Brilliant Restaurant in Southall. I reviewed many different restaurants, but I wanted to something different. I looked for set menus and was hard to find a menu which I change around to my preferences. After going through many, I finally found the one. I opted out for Brilliant and I am here writing the review - as I am extremely happy I opted out for Brilliant

Very nice atmosphere. Tables and decor very up to date. Average service but this may be because it was jam packed ! Ok Food was okay, slightly mild, but I sure they can make it spicy on request. Prices were fair. In general, would maybe come again. 10% service charge included on the bill!

Thank you to all Brilliant Staff specially sarabjeet singh as always he look after all Brilliant guest and they made my dad’s Birthday very special!! His team service is always exceptional and food as always was top quality. We certainly be returning very soon.

Very glad I was invited by family friends. Finger licking food and top class service. Nice, clean banqueting section we went to. Fernandez and his back up team surprised us with memorable service. Fernandez was in total control of our table and ensured one and all on out group were looked after . Not happy with trip advisor site which is making it impossible to type. A worthy restaurant to visit.

Last time I visited was more than 15 years ago. So pleased that the quality and standard of food is still exemplary. Recommend the fish pakoras and mixed grill. Prices are also decent and service is on point. Very attentive.

I have used Brilliant restaurant twice for corporate event's (park education group) this is a slick operation here start to finish, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOTMENTED

Visited with family. Visited after reading few good reviews. Food was cold, tasteless. Avoid visit if you looking for authentic indian curry, plenty of better places in southall.

Every time we go it’s like popping round to your uncles for dinner. The staff are superb; friendly efficient and courteous. The food is exceptional with executive chef Dipna Anand creating not only a gorgeous menu but also healthy options. The Tandoori Salmon is to die for. Try anything it’s all lovely. We’ll be back again soon.

An amazing evening made even more special by the staff and the quality of the food served at Brilliant. To top it off we spoke with the awesome owner and his wonderful award winning daughter Dipna Anand. Simply the best food I've eaten !

Only go for Butter chicken,Jerry chicken and chilli chicken ,the rest is average ,very good for starters on the above 3dishes .price over the top ,whole chicken does not mean whole chicken ,service very poor .

We had Fish Masala curry and the authentic Lamb for mains, and they were the original recipes and very authentic. The jalebi icecream on the house was the finale!

I've been to the Brilliant on special occasions for over 20 years and it never disappoints. Great food, warm welcome and excellent service. They made a lovely celebration for my daughter's birthday and they prepared special requests for younger eaters. The dhals and veggies were delicious, all the meat curries were tender and perfectly tasty and I particularly love the range of naans and rotis. Desserts were plentiful and a very high standard. We had 10 people thoroughly enjoy their meal and their boxing day evening out. Thank you Brilliant!
