Brights Restaurant - High Street in Belfast

Since when does a ceaser salad come with eggs..stale croutons, no Parmesan cheese. Big bits of warm bacon salty and greasy. Ruined the whole thing. Like a dogs dinner .

Called in around breakfast for a fry and wife had poached eggs. Fry was pretty good but not that cheap. Poached eggs suited my taste (very very runny) rather than my wife's. Medium fry, 2 poached eggs, 2 juice, 2 teas - £25

I have been eating at brights for years now as I find the staff friendly, kind and pleasant. I find the food amazing. From the steak to pizza to chicken burgers to frys.

Called into Brights on Saturday 1st April for breakfast with my husband and father in law (who is in a wheelchair), we where seated and our order was taken. A few minutes after this another older waitress came to our table and asked rather loudly if we would move to the back of the restaurant as the wheelchair was in the road! She went on to say how no one could get past the chair and it was in the road, at this point people at the other tables where looking, my father in law was so embarrassed. In the end I refused to move and told the waitress that people could walk round the other side. This was disgusting behaviour of a disabled customer! My father in law fought for his country so we all could have the freedom to sit where ever we chose. I think the staff here could do with some training on how to treat the disabled, if the chair was such an issue then the table behind him should have been turned to accommodate this and not the customer moved. The fry as usual was delicious and the young lady surviving us was lovely such a shame the other waitress let this establishment down so badly. We won't be returning as we will now look for somewhere more accommodating for us.

Had an amazing tea at Brights best bap pastie supper in Belfast. Lovely place and great friendly staff......

I had a chicken burger which was lovely. Chips were crispy and fluffy, staff were friendly and the place was clean. Absolutely nothing bad to say about it and I'll definitely be back!

Stunning breakfast, very clean cafe and a very well organised team. Everything was freshly cooked, piping hot and we washed it down with a great cuppa!

Myself and my fiancé came here for breakfast, and honestly it was the best breakfast I’ve had in years. Our server was lovely, the food was absolutely delicious. I had pancakes with eggs, bacon and syrup and my fiancé had a full fry. Both cleared our plates and we were full for the day! Will definitely be back next time we visit.

Stopped here for breakfast and enjoyed it. the portions are very large so if you're unsure about the full Irish its ok to take a step down.

Our first visit hut certainly not our last. Called in around 12 had to queue for a short time but that's always a good sign. I had the goats cheese salad it was massive!! Hubby had a fry really yummy food. Clean restaurant and rest rooms

We happened across the restaurant by accident and at 5pm, we went in and we weren't disappointed. I have read that people are finding it expensive and I have to agree that nearly £10 for a baked potato is a bit excessive, but our party of 6 opted for a variety from the menu and to a person, we all enjoyed our food. It arrived in a timely fashion, was beautifully presented and well cooked. Lots of condiments available and the waitresses were all lovely. We had a really good laugh with all of them. We noticed that the restaurant was starting to be scrubbed down at about 5.45 and we asked what time they closed. It was 5.30pm, but we were asked not to rush our food. It was so good, we went again 2 days later and had another lovely meal. The only criticism I had was the use of plastic straws which I thought was unnecessary given the bad publicity for single use plastic.

So disappointed with our recent trip to Brights after a few years have passed since the last one. The state of the kitchen I walked past, the cheap food at crazy prices, it was just not nice at all. Baked potatoes at £10 and chicken...

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was disappointing. Fry was very greasy (more than usual) . Eggs were undercooked. Staff took ketchup off our table and handed it to another table without sanitising.

The takeaway food in Bright's is fantastic. They serve the best wraps and baguettes that I've ever had in Belfast at a very reasonable price. There is a huge range of toppings and you can make up you own sandwich at no extra price. Great...

Brights is one of the few restaurants i visit several times monthly, if im.meeting friends this is great place, large menu variety, food always fresh, sometimes would get salad with meat/chicken etc to take home, excellent value...some of the staff hv been their yrs so get to know you...childrens chairs available although at peek times can get crowded but thats a good sign..whatever u want even if not specific on menu they will do their best to help you...very clean also...

We popped in to here by chance and saw the massive queue so thought it must be a good spot! Despite it being busy, we were seated and served quickly. I had the Yankee Fry and my partner had the soda with eggs, both of which were great! It was the best value that we have seen so far on our trip. Would definitely recommend a visit!

An Ulster Fry is the perfect start to a busy day of sightseeing, and Brights is the place to go. Great food, friendly staff, well priced.

Slightly disappointed. Veggie options weren't great and when I picked one of the few they had (the Veggie Burger) there was none avaliable.

Seeing how busy this place was at lunchtime my wife and I figured it must be popular for a reason. After receiving our Fish and Chip meals it was obvious that the quality of the food is the big draw here. We had no complaints about the quality or quantity of what we received and the hard working staff coped admirably despite being very busy. The folks in Ireland generally know how to cook great Fish and Chips and this was no exception. The prices are very reasonable too.

Brights was recommended to us by a member of staff at the hotel we were staying at, a busy cafe which is always a good sign had the Ulster fry and was not disappointed, great food at a good price

We went to this location, not once, but twice, because we were so very impressed with the service and the quality of the food. The first time we went, we both had the large breakfast fry. It came with sausages, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomato, soda bread and potato bread. It was tasty and delicious, but very filling. The second time we visited, my husband had the small fry, which was the perfect amount for him. I had the poached eggs and soda bread. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked and the soda bread was delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. We were always seated quickly and we felt very comfortable there. We highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast. We did not eat lunch, but by the plates that went by us, the food looked plentiful and delicious.

My girlfriend and I came here in search of a fry up. We were not disappointed. The restaurant was rather full, with queues at the door once we were seated. Service was decent, and the food was very tasty and cooked well. Definitely recommend.

Such an expensive place - £16 for two chips (with sauce) and two small drinks - way way way overpriced!!! Waitress was rude and ignorant - waiting over 15 minutes for drinks yet tables which came in after us got their drinks before us! Seemed more concerned with tourists (who probably tip better) than locals. Chips not the nicest - tasted stale and definitely not worth the money. Won’t be back!!!

Bajé del avión en Belfast a las 9 am, recogí a mi pequeño niño (5 años) y fui a comer algo en este lugar. Creo que el nombre de las chicas era Christina, nos consiguió una mesa rápida y luego vino mi pedido 5 minutos después, cuando estaba lista. La comida era decente y el café con leche era de primera calidad! La señora rubia mayor era muy amigable con mi hijito y nos hizo sentir bien recibidos y también Christina. Me casaría con Christina si soy honesta! Jaja de alta calidad en todos los sentidos. Muchas gracias.

Had the Yankee Fry and couldn't bloody stop eating. Food came quick and the plates are massive, definitely worth it!

We read that this was a great breakfast/treat place to visit and we were not disappointed!! Three of us ordered the Yankee fry which is SOOOOOOO good!! Hubby ate his altogether but I split mine and had savoury together then the pancake and waffle with maple syrup kind of like a breakfast pudding!! and the Latte was the best I had all week!! Staff were friendly and nothing was enough trouble, we would definitely visit again if I’m the area!

Their all-day fries are SO good! It's spacious enough to get through when busy, the price is really decent and it's always really cozy.

We visited here after looking on TA for a good breakfast in Belfast city center.

After a day spent walking around Belfast we came across this Restaurant. The staff were friendly, especially our waitress, Georgina. The food was delicious, we both had Irish Stew which came with a choice of bread. Would definitely recommend this Restaurant as somewhere to eat and if we visit Belfast again this will be our first choice to re-visit.

Quickly seated in a booth right beside the kitchen. The chefs seemed to be preparing for a busy lunch. Our order was taken by the very pleasant Marie and the food did not take long to arrive at all. I ordered the medium fry, It was a substantial breakfast with all the goodies you'd expect. I particularly enjoyed the Black Pudding, it was lovely and spicy. My partner had scrambled eggs on toast and they hit the spot also.

Just close to the Premier Inn (Cathedral Quarter) and a great recommendation from the hotel staff.

Very over priced for “chippy” food. Over £25 for 2 fish suppers and 2 soft drinks. Although the food is nice, I don’t think it’s worth the money.

As I currently work close to Brights, it only makes sense to call in sometimes for lunch. I usually get takeaway, and it is never a long wait. The food is freshly made and the portions are of good size. It is also reasonably priced.

Went to brights 2 mornings for breakfast last week. On the first morning we both had the Yankee Fry, the second morning I had a ciabatta with sausage bacon egg and hash brown and my partner had the pancake stack with bacon and poached eggs. Overall the food was very good. The waitresses were also very nice and the cappicinnos were great. I would suggest having streaky bacon as opposed to normal bacon as it would compliment the pancakes so much better! Also I found eggs and pancakes such a strange combo but apparently its very popular in America also the homemade hash browns were Devine and brilliant value for money!

Absolutely love in here! Great for breakfast and lunch, loads to choose from and great costumer service!! Also good for kids! I Eat in this place a lot and I have never had a problem with anything, they also do take away which is good if you want to bring some home or are in a rush! Would 1000% recommend this place.

Adore this place! Hate when you have to wait for a seat, but the people know this is the place to be and thats why its so busy! Food is always fresh and you're never waiting too long. Staff serve with a smile (especially Christine) and can't do enough for you! Keep up the great work guys!

This unassuming restaurant was great. We had a toastie and a ciabatta which both came with salad and we ordered chips and drinks. The chips were absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend this place!

This is an amazing place to try a full Irish breakfast. Or maybe just a cake and tea or coffee. Well worth a visit all fresh made to order.

We came here because the breakfasts were served all day and so glad we did. Portions were large and affordable and the menu selection is varied. Lovely ladies serving us as well. We will be returning for the wonderful potato bread.

I would eat here at least once a month everything i have tasted on the menu has never let me down everytime i go it is as good as the last time i visited. I have been going here over 10 years and that says something for its self. My kids enjoy going here for meals .

Called on Saturday morning and ordered a small fry.This comprised five cooked portions and the meal was foul and that is the kindest thing I can say about it .I won't be back.

Had the family here today for lunch,4 adults and 3 kids.very busy restaurant but we were shown to a table almost straight away.lovely waitress took our orders and not to long waiting for food especially as it is all cooked to order.reasonably priced and a good choice,wish we had found it yesterday.we will be back again on our next visit.

Our hotel breakfast offering was really bad so we were delighted to find Brights nearby. Huge selection to choose from and staff are very efficient and service is quick. I went for the pancake stack with scrambled egg, crispy bacon and maple syrup, delicious, so tasty! My husband had the large fry and finished the whole plate. Everything was cooked to order and really good value!

Pasamos un día muy agradable visitar Belfast recientemente, pocos y después de probar otros lugares para desayunar, encontré Brights. Una gran fritos y regresamos cada día por el resto de nuestra estancia.

This is a very good restaurant, the staff are very efficient and helpful. The food is excellent and plenty of it. If you come out of this place hungry then you have a problem.

He comido aquí antes, así como nos estaban haciendo nuestro camino por belfast decidió llamar a almorzar. . caminabamos y se llevó todo de el cochecito y estuvimos en la señal para la gente esperando a ser sentado y aunque aprecio fue constante (no es locura! ! ) nos paramos por al menos 10 minutos mientras personal pasado numerosas veces sin siquiera reconocer que estuvimos allí. Sin embargo, un número de. el personal era capaz de soportar unos charlando el restaurante más adelante. . Simplemente nos fuimos frustrados en el pobre nivel de servicio al cliente, no volveré aquí de nuevo! ! Muy pobre!

Large brekkie is likely the best I've tasted in Belfast. Nearly two of everything with tea & toast and it's very filling. Recommended.

First time in bright today did not disappoint myself and my husband had the same thing toasted ciabatta topped with rocket, black pudding and porched eggs. Good size portion and very tasty coffee was great too. Will definitely be back.

We were 6 people and we had a very nice Ulster Fry at this place. If you are in Belfast, it is a must! They don't have licence to serve alcohol so you can have only soft drinks, tea or coffee :-(

We called in for some lunch on Wednesday, we usually go for an Ulster fry which is the best in town, tho we had more lunch I had a Cajun wrap there was a lot of beef in it with peppers and a sauce, the hubby had a club sandwich which was lovely lots of meat also. Both meals came with chips and mine had a dip I had curry, the chips are beautiful everytime the curry was also lovely, we love going to brights when we go to belfast shopping...

Had to visit to try a traditional Ulster Fry. It was tasty but if you’re visiting don’t be expecting anything fancy. To get a 5 they need to serve better sausages!
