Brighton Bierhaus in Brighton and Hove

Had a few days in Brighton and was looking for a place with a good range of Belgian/German/craft beers and came across this gem. Lots of taps, a well stocked fridge (any place that has Gulden Draak available gets my attention), and you can grab a delicious cheese toastie provided by a local bakery. Perfect place to relax for a couple of hours and a must visit for those not content to drink pint after pint of Stella every day.

Epic selection of local and international beers, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Can’t ask for much more.

Top notch beer experience, and not expensive either. We were there on a Tuesday afternoon so not expecting a wild atmosphere.

On a little day off pub crawl, I happened upon this place. The person behind the bar, diligently Brasso-ing the metal, kindly directed me to a pint of 'Get This Marty Started' (if I recall correctly), and it was flippin' DELICIOUS. If you like draught IPA, do this. Or you're a massive berk.

Proper bier in Brighton. It's got a great ambience and the chap running it is really friendly. Lots of choice of lovely beers and a real find. Highly recommended.

Great pub, with such a varied choice of beers on tap - the pastel de nata stout and the cherry chouffe were so good! It is quite a small venue but worth the visit!

If you love craft beers/ales, this is one of the most stocked pubs in Brighton. They rotate the selection frequently. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. My pals and I had a wonderful time. We'll go again.

Owned by Brighton Bier so a wonderful chance to sample your favourites on draught alongside some excellent guest beers. Only food served here is snacks and toasted sandwiches. On Sunday's they now serve Japanese Street Food which looks interesting!

No relation to the Reading Bierhaus, I did ask. I really liked the selection of German beers, other than bottles here and there in shops I just can't find good places to get some on draught, and this place did not disappoint. Didn't eat so I can't comment on the food but didn't feel right to rate low for no reason. Prices depend on how sloshed you intend to get, but are reasonable.

A small but bustling little pub in Brighton, but full of my favourite drinks. Not many places serve Westmalle Tripel so I'm always happy to see it somewhere. Lots of other Belgian beers available, so if you're a connoisseur this is the right place for you. They even had some that I'd not tried before which is a rarity!

I've been trying quite a few Brighton Brewery craft beers and Brighton Bierhouse is the only one that filled my expectations. I initially went in hoping to try a flight but sadly they do not do them. However! They let me have a small taste of some of their beers to figure out which I'd like. And Jesus....The CHOICE. So so many to choose from! Quite alot of German choices but I wanted to try their own brand of beer first. I tried the Bier house pale ale which was good and fine but the FRESHMAN AHHHH!!! So so drinkable and good. A wonderful craft beer that isn't too heavy but has that PUNCH we all love in beer. A light but delicious taste. Quite the small place but warm and inviting. 4 stars because I do think some small additions to try their wide wide variety of beer could improve this place (like a flight..) but you won't go wrong or be short of choice here

Stopped here for a quick pint as part of a craft tour. Was good selection. Nothing amazing but well stocked. Relatively small. I feel something that will take a local's fancy. Overall good.

Stripped back place off the main Kemp Town and Laines drags, for all your beery needs.

Fairly modern decor which creates a warm ,comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.Personally feel the two TV screens are a distractions from its good points. Has an extensive range of local and international beers and ciders, and pleasant service .Also has an interesting programme of activities.

Very enjoyable pub in Kemptown with great beer selection. Service is top notch.

Selling beers which are brewed locally behind the Brighton Marina. Great quality and choice, a must visit for anyone who loves a nice pint....or two!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, excellent selection of beers, the music is always great too/different. It’s become my local even though it’s a 3.5miles away from my house!

Excellent pub serving a large selection of local and foreign beers on cask and keg. Selection of toasted sandwiches to eat with your beer and a selection of crisps to choose from. Excellent beer from Brighton brewery on cask. Particularly enjoyed the Brighton Bier One Hundred, went down very nicely. Cheers

Good range of beers. Worth the walk as slightly off center. Friendly too, just not as quite the uber beer list that I recall previous Brighton visits but abs fine

We went three times during out stay in Brighton, and each time was not disappointed. Service was excellent; the beers especially their own were top-notch and we enjoyed the laid back atmosphere.

Walked past The Brighton Bierhaus on our way to another venue so decided to come in for a couple drinks beforehand. We then moved and sat on one of the outside benches. Really great / friendly atmosphere. My boyfriend had a couple of beers and I enjoyed my aperol spritz in the glorious bank holiday sun ☀️

Really fantastic beer selection but don't forget the cider! Super laid back bar with a warm welcome and attentive staff - sadly lacking and in a lot of Brighton pubs where the customer is regarded as an inconvenience when they interrupt the bar person's phone conversation. The Bierhaus is not one of these - and is definitely recommended 😁👍🍺

Awesome staff, great beer. When I go in here and pints are a pound, I'll know I'm in heaven :)

Waited for over an hour for food. Was not advised of the waiting time and not updated. Staff were dismissive and rude. Felt customer service was poor, food was aged due to the time of wait. Not a place I will visit again or recommend.

Surprised to see so many bad reviews. We visited for an early dinner before going to theatre. We did phone the day before to book a table but on arrival they had no record of this. Not a great start. However, they did apologise & sat us by window. I had a pizza & my hubby had pasta. Both dishes were cooked very well. Service was good just a shame they did not have record of us booking table. Good job it was not busy. We would return. It's nice they have outside seating area when weather good. They even gave people blankets when it got a bit colder in evening. A nice touch

Fantastic value, especially the kids menu, the main menu had class starters, dough balls and dough stuffed with mozzerella, my steak was perfectly cooked, but a bit charred on the outside, desserts were brill, well worth the money, kids pizza fresh and delicious as was the pasta, would come back again and again. Staff were fabulous, but a bit understaffed for a busy dinner service

Love this pub. The beer, ciders and cocktails are great and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Whenever I am in Brighton I try to visit.

Been coming here for the past 6 years since it opened. It sells some of the finest beers in Brighton and brews the majority of it themselves. It also stocks a massive selection of Belgium and German bottled beers. All available to take away or drink while in the bar.

Great range of IPAs, my new favourite session cider 'Ascension' and simple yet delicious toasties. Lovely old fashioned 'pubby' vibe, friendly staff. What's not to like?

Love this place. Ideal stop whilst in the area. Nice English pub feel combined with German authenticity. Small and local feel, board games in the corner, but with the added 'oomf' of German lagers on tap and pleasant seating area on the street if the weather suits. See you again soon.

체고다. 첫 펍으로 가게되었는데 완전 로컬 그 자체, 분위기 진짜 활기 넘치고 맥주도 각양각색으로 맛이 다양하고 다 맛이 달라요. 첫 맥주로 ur-dunkel 을 시켰는데 지인짜 부드러운 흑맥이에요. 에일이나 체리는 달달한 여자여자한 느낌이 강하고 브라이튼 바이어는.. 정말 쓴맛이 강했어요 (🏋️‍♂️ <- 요런 너낌..) 뭘 마셔야 할 지 모르겠다면 테스트로 맛볼수도 있으니 제대로 즐겨보세요!! 정말 괜찮은 펍이니 주저말고 가시길…..ㅎㅎ

Straight in straight at home, music great staff great. Suitably dark broody, very Belgian. Cool crowd. Not many places punch you in the ballbag when you walk in, really is a good selection of Belgians in here. Walk up George St nearby for interesting shops if in the area.

Visited for the Brighton Ale Trail great selection of keg and cask, venue will become a new favourite

This place is OK. It's situated on an extremely busy road. With out much excitement. Unless you'd call. Police station, Law Courts and Job Centres. Exciting. I have withdrawn 2 Stars. As it doesn't accept Cash. Very Discriminatory, to those in Society, Who! For what ever reason. Don't have a Bank account.

Nice and cozy pub with great ambient music and a great selection of beers. Since I was a first time visitor of Brighton, I didn't try the German and Belgian beers that I already knew, but I tried the local, Brighton ones. This is a place that has a partnership with the local brewery, so I tried a couple of local beers which I enjoyed. One great thing to mention would be that me and my wife got to try some of the beers before buying so we made a conscious choice. Enjoy! :)

Plenty of good beers including Weiss/wit bier and one of my Belgian favourites....le choufe.

Worth seeking out of you are a real ale fan with a great beer selection but a little on the expensive side.

Very good Brighton pub not far from the Pier. 5 beers on handpump, including a stout, when I visited. Not very busy before a game at the American Express Community Stadium

This place is a bit out of the way so I’d never been before. Amazing. Brilliant range of beers. Local beers and some excellent German beers too. Great atmosphere. Staff really helpful. We tried so many beers and the staff were really knowledgeable.

If you like craft beer, local ales (and decent larger, as friends say) this is your place. Friendly, and a nice atmosphere. Staff will go out of there way to make sure you have a good pint.

Cosy comfortable interior with very creative pieces I recommend to check out the men's bathroom as it has a fun pub crawling map - something the women's bathroom could definitely benefit from as well 🤣 Large variety of beers from close and far all over the world. Friendly staff and good music. Dog friendly - absolutely recommend stopping in for a pint or two! See you again soon.

Decent selection of beers. This place charged 14 quid for a burger but you have to pay £3.50 for chips alongside and it's genuinely the smallest portion of chips I've ever seen. You would pay less money for a better burger at other restaurants with chips. Food was decent but the prices are honestly a joke. Mac n cheese was okay but I can make better myself at home. Will not come back here if I'm honest.
