Woman behind bar what a miserable person, making any effort to make you feel welcome. We were a big group of local neighbours going there specially for quiz night on Wednesday, but never again, her partner is not bad, decent fellow but she is really not nice, Briggs deserves better staff.

Poor service . Staff is not nice or kind at all. Make you feel as a costumer they cannot be bother to make any offer to make.you feel welcome . Definitely won't go back there.

Fantastic place to sit, graze and drink whilst chatting and having a fabulous evening. Very chilled out space with Fantastic decor and a great couple running it. An absolute gem in Colwyn Bay

This venue is a must for people who adore quality cocktails. A great place whose mixologist uses Welsh based spirits to create some high class, divine tasting cocktails. Seasonal changes to the menu keep it fresh and you have to go back to discover what changes will be made Great atmosphere and service. Has to be tried!

Lovely bar, great service, nice beer unfortunately it was cold in there & when I asked if there was any heating on because I was feeling cold, I was told to put my coat on, not a very professional response in my opinion, needless to say I had to leave as it wasn't warm enough at that time but apparently it warms up later when there are more people there!

Great bar with a very welcoming and knowledgeable owner. Incredibly welcoming of dogs (they even brought out a dog bed) and great music. Would highly recommend.

Had the best time here, the owners are lovely and so welcoming. I commented on how nice the place smelt and was given incense to take home. 100/10 customer service and great atmosphere. My drink was top notch as well. Would definitely recommend!

Visited Colwyn Bay this weekend and was generally disappointed with its decline then we found Briggs Wine Bar. A little gem, great friends staff brilliant drinks and a wonderful atmosphere. Will definatly make a point of calling back in next time I am in the area.

This place has an amazing atmosphere, with the most fantastic owners who look after all their customers like you are the most important person in the room. I totally enjoy every concoction made especially for my mood in drink that night. Always a pleasure coming to your venue for an evening out.

This is the success story of the Bay Area. The Bay is full of potential. COVID has been the best thing that has ever happened to Colwyn Bay. There has been a HUGE demographic shift. And Colwyn Bay is responding. Briggs has got the offering spot on! ❤️ The age group of this demographics shift is huge - anywhere between 30 and 60 years. 30 -40 year bracket are those leaving Liverpool and Manchester making use of hybrid working and choosing a work life balance and homes at affordable prices to start or grow a family. The 40 - 60 bracket are long time resident for Colwyn Bay. Their kids have grown up and they have time to spend on themselves. Why does the above matter? What the above want more than anything else is SERVICE and great product. Briggs delivers on both counts. You will NOT find any pre-mix cocktails on the menus. Those menus are changed every season. Keeping the offering fresh and interesting. There is also a wide selection of craft beer on offer. The wine selection is also noteworthy. WHAT do you need to know? Book in ADVANCE or run the risk of being disappointed when the proprietors have to decline entry. It’s very popular as it’s one of a very few places providing this level of service. Sit down at a table, and wait to be served. Patience is required during busy times. PLEASE also note that if you’ve booked a table for 3hrs that’s what you’re getting. Don’t be disappointed or upset if you’re asked to vacate the table. I know it’s disappointing when you’re asked to move when your enjoying your night. However, if your wanting the table for full night book for the full night. This is NOT a restaurant. Please NOTE that this is a bar that does very low level catering by way of cheese boards. These are prepared to accompany your drinks. This is not a fine dining venue. It’s a hip little gem in the Bay. With a well heeled clientele who appreciate a place to relax on a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. I hope your enjoy this little gem as much as those that frequent it. This is a DOG friendly venue (for well behaved dogs) but please NOTE that children must be supervised at all times and are asked to leave the bar at 6pm. Look guys, it’s not that the proprietors are anti-children it’s that the venue is small and demand high. Priority is given to adults. Looking for a family friendly eatery - try the Pen Y Bryn.

Really great for cocktails, craft beer and cheese boards! This is our go to place for Saturday night drinks. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Make sure you book a table to avoid disappointment!

First time visiting this location and it did not disappoint. Simple on-line booking system, choose a date and time, length of stay, pre order food (optional) and turn up. There’s ample seating inside and several tables outside for alfresco. We were offered a lounger in the window but opted for a more rigid set up as we thought it would be more practical for eating. We ordered the mother board for sharing. I have to say the lounger would have been ideal but nevertheless it did not detract from the experience. The food was excellent, the pork pie gets a special mention as it was delicious. There’s a large variety of drinks to chose from and the hosts were attentive and knowledgeable. The mood is very relaxed and overall we had a very enjoyable evening. Would definitely return. Thank you. Picture was taken as an afterthought after we’d eaten some of the items.

We went to Briggs to celebrate our anniversary. Table booked for 3 hours with the intention of speding the evening there. Seated on couch with coffee table to eat food which was very awkward. Partner is 6.4ft. Vegan and meat option served on same platter which was very unpleasant. Some food items advertised were missing. Had to ask for cheese to be changed as it was either old or had been stored badly and it was definitely not vegan! Cheese was inedible and salami was dry. The lady was very abrupt and argumentative . She informed us platter had een resting at room temperature. She took 10 mins to bring replacement cheese which was exactly the same and still inedible! Made to feel very uncomfortable and left within an hour. Platters were poor quality, poor value for money and poorly stored/ served. On a positive, the drinks were really nice and the man on the bar was really lovely.

Fabulous bar, very cosy with stylish decor, varied selections of wines, spirits, beers and cocktails, great atmosphere and very friendly staff, we will definitely try the food platters next time we visit as the menu sounded gorgeous, loved this place!

Found this place on Tripadvisor....good reviews made is a must! Stunning and welcoming from the start...cheese plattter was out of this world and reasonably priced. Plenty of choices for drinks lovely atmosphere and ambiance to the place such a special venue....highly recommend.

Amazing place. The staff are incredibly warm, friendly and welcoming. The drinks are lovely, there's an insane selection for gins, rums and whisky. The cocktails are incredible as well. I would highly recommend working your way through the menu if at all possible. Overall, this place is amazing. Even if your not local, its well worth the effort to come here.

Amazing selection of gins, if that's your poison, alongside a brilliant selection of wines. My wife particularly has a penchant for the Hibiki Japanese whiskey and I implore you to give it a shot. The staff are amazing and always very welcoming. And they have never once left us feeling anything but happy when we've left!

I drive past here everyday and today we stopped for coffee. Best I have had for ages. Found our new coffee bar!! Picked up a loyalty card and we will return. However, I felt they needed a better choice of cakes. Will try food and wine on another occasion. Noticed it was dog friendly too - another plus for us.

A very cozy look on the outside,however when inside,unless the sofas wernt used,the wooden chairs are most uncomfortable,like school chairs,the one I sat on was rickety,and no padding so it was very hard,this really needs to be addressed,comfy guests stay longer! We only had drinks and my wine was gorgeous and the glass was sparkling,my partner had a beer and he said that was good,would of stayed longer had it been cozier inside.Staff were warm and friendly.Unless the seating changes unfortunately I won’t be back.

The twinkly lights and candlelit tables were very welcoming on a dark chilly January evening. The four of us were given a warm welcome by the staff and we loved the ambience and comfort of this wine bar. Much thought has been taken with the decor and furnishings. On this occasion we just had drinks, but the food being served at another table looked both delicious and healthy, and we all liked the look of the homemade cakes. An added bonus were the traditional games available and we had great fun reacquainting ourselves with the rules of Yahtzee! I would highly recommend Briggs Wine Bar, even if you just want a perfect cup of tea and a cake- it offers so much more than a chain coffee shop.

We go here a lot the toast is lovely and food but if you are disabled you can not get to the toilet because it’s down steps so l have to wait till l get to town

I really love this bar, it's great to see somewhere so cool and modern in Colwyn Bay. The food is amazing and the drinks are fantastic.
