Really great takeaway, my family loved it. Great quality batter, the "large" chips were easily enough for 2-3 people and, as we booked in advance, we were able to park outside and pick it up quickly. Highly recommend, we will come here again!

Had cod and portion of regular chips. Portion wise I found it to be very fair. More importantly the cod was not greasy, was firm and crunchy on the outside. I rarely eat chips when out as I grow potatoes locally…I was pleasantly surprised at the taste of the chips and the contrast of being crispy outside and fluffy in the centre. I will be visiting again. Recyclable packaging also used, and staff were professional. Think to make this place even more special some home made sauces/dips would be great! E.g. garlic and parsley, lemon, balsamic and olive oil, nduja…

Well I can honestly say I was very disappointed in my sausage and batter with chips. After many people telling me it's a great fish and chips. The sausage in batter was rubbery. Not crispy at all, like it had sat there all day! I got told the chips were triple or double cooked. They certainly weren't crispy on the out side . Such a waste of money

After a 30min wait, a dozen other customers ordering and receiving there food it seems our order was lost. Never again. Absolute shambles.

The best takeaway fish and chips that I have ever eaten. Fresh, moist fish in a well cooked batter, accompanied by fat, delicious chips. The food was still hot and in perfect condition, when we arrived home. Highly recommended.

We have used Bridges fish and chip shop for many years. Now I know prices have gone up and I am happy to pay for quality but today our large haddock and chips was a bit of a joke. The fish alone was £8.80 but in all honesty it would struggle to even be described as small, and had so much excess batter. But to make it look and feel like a full box, we were given the hugest small portion of chips. Fixed price portions should be of consistent quantity.

We love bridges, the food is always fresh and the staff so friendly. We usually order cod and the portions are brilliant. The batter is always crispy even by the time I get home. My family and I visit at least a week as we can’t get enough. We have never had any issues with wait times and will continue to keep coming back. This is the best in the area!

Back in the UK of course fish and chips on the menu . The cod was excellent chunky cod . Chips were good . They dealt with an allergy (no eggs or nuts)request really well they made a piece of cod on its own without the batter. They were on the ball thank you for that . We had to wait a little because they were busy , however you can call ahead to order which would save time .

Always had lovely food here and make a point of going out of my way to come to bridges, however on good Friday the fish was so oily the box was very wet, I didn’t think much of it however it messed my stomach up. Sadly won’t be coming back.

I went to this Fish & Chip shop on the strong recommendation of a new neighbour, and all that he said if the shop was absolutely correct! I ordered two Cod & Chips and it was excellent, and not expensive in my view. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the pla e was immaculately clean. I will certainly be returning.

fish cake was not hot in the middle although outside was red hot , binned it, chips where ok and saveloy was not great quality but was ok, overall would not go back again.

Lovely welcome, quick service and the most amazing fish and chips ever! The chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, the fish had great batter and was so fresh, everything straight out of the fryer, cooked to order. Highly recommend.

Really tasty (for me especially their chicken burger) and they give really good portion sizes for reasonable prices. Food is also cooked fresh. What more could you want for a local chippy?

Moved to Chislehurst 3 years ago and we were blessed to have this chippie at the end of our road! It honestly is the best within a 10mile radius, maybe even London! They always cook your fish fresh so I don't mind waiting and you always get great conversation from the people that work there!

Food is delicious and cooked fresh. We have two fish and chip shops nearer to us but this is worth the short drive to. Much better than the rest locally without a doubt. The food is always fresh and hot. Very friendly staff. Helpful. Shop is lovely too. Highly recommend.

best fish and chip you could find , my Food is always fresh and never fails to be delicious , the service is always exceptional and never fails to put a smile on my face.

We always pre-order, but even that is a let down as they never put what you want aside, and you’re always disappointed. The only way to get a decent size fish is to go early, ie 6pm latest, otherwise it will be too busy, and they will run out of the decent size fish, and give you a small cod, but charge you for a large one.

Food was very good but we had to wait 50 minutes for our order! On line ordering would make the process more efficient. Whilst there is a clear sign saying masks must be worn, this is not enforced and we felt uncomfortable in the shop when 4/5 people are not wearing masks!

Food is always cooked to a brilliant, consistent standard and staff are very friendly. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone in the local area as this is the only chip shop I visit in Chislehurst. 5 Stars

Just been to collect fish and chips from Bridges, credit where credit is due, it was excellent, I had skate and my husband had cod, delicious batter and the chips were crisp not soggy, well done guys .

Me and my friends love this fish and chip shop. I come here 2-3 times every week and their food is always so tasty. When i arrive home with it it is still hot and as delicious. The member of staff i have is always so friendly and has exceptional customer service. Their food is always fresh and smells amazing. 10/10 would recommend !

Absolutely disgraceful given I'm clearly pregnant and had to wait that long in close proximity to other people. So disappointing as I've visited here many times before but they clearly can't handle friday rush hour and prioritise collections, their system is flawed. I'm disgusted and disappointed and won't be coming here again.

Good quality fish and chips Entrances and exits a bit chaotic at busy times. Phone orders not staggered. Staff trying hard to cope but overwhelmed at peek hours eg Friday night.

In my opinion it's the Best chip shop in Bromley. I will drive from Orpington to this shop, because it's worth it for the quality of the food.

Due to the Covid lockdown theis Fantastic Fish And chip shop has remained open. The other day we had some of the best fish and chips I have had for a long time. Excellently cooked to order, friendly staff and great value. the staff even gave my daughter a carton of Ribena on the house. Once again some of the best fish and chips I have had in a long time. Little bit longer waiting time, but fish was freshly fried. Partner had cod, I went for haddock, both really generously sized portions for what you pay, and super tasty. One of the best I fish and chips I had. Well done.

Chaos on a Saturday night - waited almost 40mins for a small order. Extra fried chicken leg was no compensation, especially as it tasted as if it had been in the hot counter since lunchtime. To cap it all, the nearby pub was shut for a refurb so didn't even have the consolation of a not-so-swift pint

I had cod and chips from bridges. I unfortunately chose the chip shop rush hour, and there was a bit of a rush on, so it's a popular venue. The meal that I had was freshly cooked whilst I waited. The cod was excellent, it flaked well the batter was light and crispy and was not oily in flavour or texture. Chips seemed to be fresh rather than frozenand that makes a difference to their texture too.

Have been using for years. Never been disappointed. Excellent fish, and have bought most varieties . Always white, flakey and moist with not too much batter . Some say “price too high”. I vehemently disagree. I would rather pay 20p more knowing the quality is consistent. Have recommended and purchased with friends/family all of whom now feel they would rather travel a little further than their own local, that may be a little cheaper, with the confidence the food they’re served will be excellent quality. Staff are always friendly and happy to accommodate when requests are “outside the box”. Cleanliness second to none. I do not believe in flattery (insincere compliment). I believed in saying it as it is. I say “Bridges is the BEST “. I defy anyone who likes excellent food to say different.

It’s always good to have a quality fish & chip shop near at hand and Bridges doesn’t disappoint. We moved into the area about three months and have had fish and chips from Bridges virtually every week. The portions are very generous so we tend to share a large chips rather than have a regular portion each. Our favourite is large cod, but the haddock is also splendid. If you are able to phone in your order around 10 minutes before you want to collect it you’ll save a lot of time. Definitely worth a visit.

The only place I get fish and chips from in the area. The staff are so friendly and always remember your face. Fish, chips and sausages are always delicious. Can't fault them other than the wait time which can be a while but it's always worth it as everything has always been made to order when I go in.

Me and mum got fish and chips after a night out in london The chip shop was about to close but they stayed open to serve us, my mum has to have gluten free due to her allergies the chip shop owners done my mums fish with out any batter what was a great. The chips are crispy and flurry inside The actual fish was crispy also but not soggy

This places main problem is their lack of quality control. You can go their sometimes and the food is great, however, sometimes you can go there and the food seems to be sat under the heated lamp for the entire day and kept there until it’s sold.

Very friendly people and the best fish and cheap shop in my opinion. Would highly recommend them.

Second time my husband purchased fish and chips for us all from here. Good fish and chips. However today (Wednesday 1st August) I had a dead fly in between my fish and chips. Put me off my food and won’t be going here again.

Went here on a recommendation. The fish was good but for some reason the guy gave us old leftover reheated chips. What could have been really nice turned out disgusting. It’s very strange. A couple of spuds cost nothing! We won’t be going back.
