Three of us cycled to Selby from York today and were looking for a food stop. We found this little gem and it was perfect. The staff/ owners were very friendly, the food was lovely and fresh, and we had a large pot of proper Yorkshire tea. It was also very reasonably priced and spotlessly clean. The icing on the cake for me was the fruit cake served with cheese.

We stopped off in this lovely tea room after being let down by another cafe in the town. The cafe is spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. We ordered a pot of tea for one, a latte and two paninis. The drinks arrived almost immediately shortly followed by the food.Moderately priced for a town centre cafe plus everything was very nicely presented. As another reviewer as pointed out it was like stepping back in time, china tea pots and cups, lace table cloths and doilies. Well worth a visit.

It's been a few months since I visited the tearooms, so when my best friend came to see me recently I took her to the tearooms for coffee & cake. We ended up with a panini & a toastie followed by cake. I don't drink tea at all & very rarely drink coffee but I like the coffee here so we shared a large caffetierre. Although it was very busy the staff did a lovely job of looking after everybody. The food was good & even though the cakes are bought in they taste lovely & fresh with plenty of choice.

Popped into the tea room with a friend for a chat and a sweet treat. Lovely friendly welcome, a nice choice of home made cakes and we settled for freshly baked scones with jam and cream. So delicious and served on lovely bone china. Cozy and quaint, a real old world tea shop. Access for disabled people almost impossible, which is a real shame. The tea room offer a traditional afternoon tea with some prior notice to ensure everything is freshly prepared and I shall definitely try that next visit. Highly recommend.

In September of this year we visited this fantastic little tea room (sorry it took so long to review!) and I must say this is one of the nicest tea rooms I have visited in a long time. It is run on behalf of Age UK and so run (I think) mainly by volunteers. On walking in the atmosphere was lovely and welcoming and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was excellent (especially the home made cakes) and the tea was served in a teapot with China cups, something I love, nothing tastes nicer than tea in China cups. Everything was spotlessly clean and the service second to none. If we visit Selby again we will definitely be heading for The Bridge View Tea Rooms for our refreshments.
