We stayed nearby last September as a family of 6 and we turned up for breakfast. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating if they tried particularly as we all made slight changes to the menu choices. We all agreed it was one of the best breakfasts we had ever had .....so good we all rocked up next morning for another one.I cannot recommend them enough if you are staying in the area you must visit !

This is a small cafe on the main street in Newton Stewart. Despite the size they had managed to squeeze screens inbetween the tables and it was nice and clean. The welcome was friendly and I enjoyed my brownie for breakfast. The prices were good as well.

This had become our regular haunt before Covid, and continues to be the place we choose for lunch and afternoon cakes. They follow all the Covid rules and we love we can book a table, and feel safe in the environment they have set up.The food is amazing - fresh, tasty and plentiful - and the staff are always so friendly, professional and welcoming.I’ve recommended Brew Ha Ha to many people who come to Newton Stewart, it’s well worth stopping in!

Called in today for lunch. As a vegetarian with an egg allergy, I usually struggle to find anything other than soup or variations of a cheese sandwich especially in a small town like Newton Stewart. I was pleasantly surprised to see a meat free burger on the menu and ordered it expecting the usual bland fare brought in from the freezer of the local supermarket. Quite the opposite! It was the best veggie burger I have ever tasted ; home made and full of flavour with a delicious vegan mayo sauce. The coffee was really lovely too.Thank you so much Brew Ha Ha.

We were so happy we stumbled upon this cafe! It's a little hidden away at the bottom of Newton Stewart's high street, but it is well worth seeking out! The young man who served us was very lovely and friendly, and made our experience especially wonderful. We had tea and cake and it was absolutely delicious; the only problem was that we struggled to choose between all the delightful-looking home-made cakes! We settled for chocolate brownies in the end, and didn't regret our decision one bit. They also had some tempting looking ice cream sundaes, and a lovely secret garden for a sunny day. We were staying in Newton Stewart for a few days and having had excellent drinks at Cafe Aroma across the road earlier in the day, we thought we would give Brew Ha-Ha a try for a post-walk cuppa. It was 4.45 and we were wary that they could be about to close but, on inquiring at the door, we were told by a young lady that they were still serving and in we went. Soon after we had placed our order, we noticed that the cake display, from which our daughter enjoyed her Malteser slice, had been removed, so closure appeared imminent at 5pm. But as we savoured the closing stages of our drinks, a woman emerged from the kitchen and rather unceremoniously announced: "We're closing". Her brusqueness shocked us as in such circumstances, and from previous experience elsewhere, we would have expected to be left undisturbed to finish our drinks, which was probably only three or four minutes away anyway. So I said if they let us know the amount to pay, we would go. I paid up, my wife slurped the last of her tea and we disappeared into the night never to return. So much for a relaxing drink - why welcome us in if we can't enjoy our drinks in peace?

Visited here for a bite to eat when passing through and can safely say we were very impressed. It was a really sunny day so we made use of the "Secret Garden" out at the back of the cafe - a fairly good-sized green space surrounded by tall trees and with tables and chairs on the lawn. It was beautiful and peaceful - we made the right choice!Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and nothing was too much to ask - even when I asked if there was any salad dressing available as it wasn't mentioned on the menu. Our waitress went to ask the chef and came back with a choice of 6 offerings - saying the kitchen were very pleased to have been asked! We ordered a panini and toastie, both of which were really good - accompanied by chips, coleslaw and salad, and big portion sizes for the small pricetag! Could hardly finish all of mine. Our coffees were also good. My partner asked for a flat white, mentioning in passing that a cappuccino wasn't strong enough for him, and she offered to make it with 3 shots if he wanted which was a nice extra touch. The cakes looked great too but they'll have to wait til another time :)
