Brecon Kebab House in Powys

Absolutely shocking! Me and my partner ordered a large kebab to share. The customer service was really poor to begin with. Went to our hotel to eat and noticed that was hardly any donner meat and then noticed that we had no pitta bread. Considering we paid £12.50 and was told that extra sauces would be an extra £1.50 I decided to take the meal back. As a dissatisfied customer you would think they would offer either a refund or another meal. They were very rude and told me that I was lying and I have eaten all the meal when in fact over half the meal was still there. They were very abusive and at that time I decided to call the police. They also phoned the police and told me that they were already looking for a person with my description. They were very intimidating but I stood my ground and waited for the police to arrive but at that point I really did not want any food from this place and was greeted by the police and they had spoken with the workers who had now offered to replace the meal. Total waste of resources in my opinion! I took the food home and we ate but become really unwell in the morning! Please ovoid this place as me and my partner had food poisoning from this establishment!!! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Unfortunately it has really slipped, been going for a while but recently has gone down hill and will not be going back. They forgot to give us parts of our food, they couldn't be bothered to give a large so just charged for a large and gave a small on our chips, and didn't give us salad when we asked for it. Finally, upon running back for them to fix these issues they were mildly agro about the situation and refused to give us our full order, very poor and would recommend leaving this one alone, there are several other places in Brecon like this and I would advise going there.

Had the quarter pounder with cheese, one of the best i’ve ever had and a proper bargain aswell. Very friendly staff also.

Great food..expensive if you compare to other kebab places.. but uf you want to eat chickhwn toe nails and nee caps for 4 quid enjoy.. spot on always

Always good quality food. Nice friendly staff. Can be a bit more expensive than other kebab houses if you compare to others that use processed foods but this one uses fresh food.

Who says kebabs are only for after a boozy night out. The kebabs here are fantastic. My only criticism would be the polystyrene pots for chips mean they are soggy by the time you get to eat them. Would prefer them just wrapped in paper. But this doesn’t detract from the friendly service and good food.

Ordered 'cod' and chips which had to be cooked to order. Took ages. The cod was NOT cod but a grey, wet, salty fish and chips tasted and looked old and were very dry. I would never use this eatery again.

We have visited this eatery on a number of occasions and the staff has always been really helpful. I and my partner have tried most on the menu but I think the sish kebab is the nicest

Have been a regular here for 12 years and have to say unlike most I visit this venue sober. Staff are always friendly. Food is good value and great tasting. Am usually a doner fan but have had chicken burger too. My only disappointment would be the polystyrene packaging makes the chips soggy. Much better eaten open, maybe abandon the lidded pots for perfect crispy chips.

I had kebab wife had burger...my kebab was ok plenty of meat...to much lettuce average kebab...my wife said burger was ok nothing special...chips crap... wouldn't go out of our way again to visit

Their chicken kebabs are very good, nice salad with them and a tasty sauce. I don't eat other kebabs so can't comment. The staff are great, friendly and helpful. You can ring up and order which can be useful and saves waiting. Great food and fast efficient service, good value.

We went into this little place, really hungry , we had a chicken kebab....I couldn't eat it it looked undercooked and very greasy, it didn't taste like real chicken at all. My daughter had chicken nuggets with chips she eaten one nugget and didn't like it as it had a funny taste to it. On a good note my son liked his burger. It was very expensive, if I was nearer to this place when I started eating this food I would have taken it all back it was disgusting.

Reasonably priced "quick" food. This small eat in/take away is convenient when nothing elde is open. Not my usual fare but on this evening it "filled a hole"

Again visited Brecon during the Brecon Fringe festival. Here you get a good Doner kebap for a reasonable price.

Ordered a large mixed kebab with chips and salad and when we got home to eat it it was basically salad and chips with a small sprinkling of meat and no pitta bread and paid £7.50 for the displeasure

called in for my favourate takeaway food at the end of our one night stay in Brecon. the staff were super efficient and my ex large lamb doner was ready in quick time . great price,taste and size-perfect. ive had a few in my time and this was up there with the best ! chilly sauce was also tasty. will be back next time in Brecon.

Lovely food and pleasant staff. We stopped off here after setting up camp at a near by camp site. Was great value for money

Only kebab shop in town; good choice, fair price and enjoyable. Small eating area inside. Busy w/e evenings, be prepared to wait.

Hope we can keep this lovely clean Kebab shop in Brecon everything else closes. Efficient staff always with a smile. Large orders free bottle of pop. Really quick at serving never had to wait long.

Remember the drunken "extra chilli sauce please" nights? This does the job, and even when sober there is a pleasant to eat healthy option. Efficient and friendly. Good value.

We used to go to this kebab shop periodically, when visiting family locally. We used to rate it highly as a takeway as it was of a really good standard. However, we have visited twice lately, and will not be visiting again. The chicken kebabs are still tasty, but the large ones are not as large as they used to be. The mayonaisse seems to be watery, so the salad ends up soggy. The chips on both occasions were refried and pretty inedible to be honest. We were also concerned about them having nearly cooked meat next to raw meat on the grill. I would not recommend it, what a shame.

As you enter it appears very clean, the service is quick and efficient, also listens to your exact order. Food is outstanding, best kebab I have ever tasted. We come from Norfolk to visit, and having a kebab from here is the highlight of our visit. Highly recommend!!!

A bit like any other kebab house in any other town. Its food after a night out but its good food, fresh and the staff are friendly enough. Prices are a bit high but this is Brecon.

Not the best but ok. Staff are friendly but forgot one of the pitta breads and portions are quite small and plian for the price. That said, would use again for a quick take away if I can't get to the Turkish Delight at Rhayader.

Two years since my last visit but the place was still very friendly, the chips freshly cooked and excellent, the portion sizes large too. The lamb shish was tasty and the chicken kebab was good. Still recommended.

120% service the little guy he calls me umcle pleasure to spend. money there.its a shame other takeaway never make you welcome as this one does

This kebab house in the centre of Brecon offers tasty and reasonably priced kebabs, with a small seating area if you don't want to take away. I have tried the Shish and Doner Kebabs here and found the both to be of good quality and value - portion sizes are good, and the large shish kebab offers particularly good value. The chips are always freshly cooked and are crisp and tasty. Service is quick and friendly. If you are after a kebab in Brecon, this is the place to go.
