Brazil's Cafe in Chiltern

Moved to UK only 3 month ago and wanted to give a try for Brazilian kitchen. It was great experience. Great food and lovely and smiley staff. Recommended 👍

My daughter and partner treated my wife and I - we had not been before. Inside was so pretty and comfortable. Excellent friendly service. Good varied menu, reasonably priced for restaurant cuisine. We had a really lovely time. We look forward to going back after ‘lockdown 2’. Good luck guys - you have a lovely restaurant.

Never disappointed by a visit to Brazil's Kitchen. Once again superb food and great service. It would be a shame to lose this place and I believe they are offering a take-away service, so fingers crossed they survive.

Great little find, 8 of us went on a Saturday night and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Small menu, well cooked and thought out. Very friendly staff, will definitely return.

This has to be my most favourite restaurant outside the M25 and it’s on my doorstep. The delightful decor, attentive hosts but give you plenty of space. You don’t feel rushed. The tasteful music in he background. I just can’t find the words to describe this place, after a long day working in the city this is the perfect place to enjoy good food, yummy wine and the superb ambience. The seasonal menus are just so exciting.

What to say? Friendly host, very average food,expensive for what is offered, very noisy. We might try again for brunch but definitely wont dine there again.

Delicious, fresh, thoughtful food. We happened on this pleasant place while passing through Chesham, and were surprised and delighted to find such good ingredients so well cooked and beautifully presented. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff - if I lived near here I would be a regular!

Visiting Chesham today, we chose to have coffee and cake at Brazil’s. the coffee was the best we have enjoyed for a long time; service was great. The short menu looked good and next time we will plan for lunch.

In my opinion restaurants in England are the worst in the world. This is probably my favourite restaurant in England as iv yet to visit anywhere better than here

Last family dinner of the Decade @ Brazil’s this evening - marvellous food, wine and atmosphere. Lovely way to start the transition to the ‘20’s .....

Lovely brunch. We will happily go back again. My sister and her husband from Bristol absolutely loved it.

We tried this by chance and absolutely loved it. The staff were friendly and knowledgable. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The wine was lovely. What a great find. I’ll be coming back.

Another wonderful evening at Brazils Kitchen. I would highly recommend a visit. The welcome, as always, was very warm and friendly and the restaurant is cosy and inviting. We chose to visit on a Wednesday so we could enjoy their 7 course Polish tasting menu, which we loved so much the first time we, we wanted to have it again! All the food we have had here on our many previous visits has been amazing too. Chesham is so lucky to have a restaurant of this quality.

Attended the Polish tasting evening last night. Wow so good, the dishes were all so tasty, just the right size and very different, have never tasted anything like them. The service was so friendly we are always made so welcome.

I've used a lot of exclamation marks in the title of the review. That's how good this place is. It's been a very long time since I've had a restaurant meal that's been exceptional in all aspects of an evenings dining, but Brazil's utterly blew it out of the park. Wonderful staff outstanding food, pricey but worth it. We had an amazing night and will definitely be back. Thank you for making my husbands birthday a fabulous evening!!!

First time we had ventured into the lunch menu and it was superb. I had the Russian dumplings and the others had the Arancini and Cabbage Rolls, all were excellent. Friends had come over especially for the meal and were suitably impressed.

Food was lovely from the puried parsnip amuse bouche onwards. A lovely bottle of red from Portugal complemented hubbies lamb and my pork. The service is attentive and friendly without being over the top. Best bit is that this gem is in town so quick taxi home.

We went to Brazil's Kitchen yesterday evening to experience their first evening of Polish food. They were offering a 7 course Polish tasting menu for £35 per head and it was AMAZING! The restaurant is small and very cosy and welcoming. As soon as you enter the door, you receive such a warm and friendly welcome you feel like one of the family.We have eaten there many times, but this was our first experience of Polish food. Every course arrived beautifully presented and tasted really scrumptious. We particularly liked Pierogi, which were little dumplings filled with cheese, potato and onion. Rolada śląska was another favourite- Beef wrapped gherkin and bacon with Silesian gnocci. Every course was beautifully cooked and we can't wait to go again and savour more wonderful food. We would highly recommend a visit. This was the first time Ola, Klaudia, Ania, Paweł i Gello had offered diners a Polish experience and it was a huge success. The restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Brazil’s are trialling new blends of coffee this week - and today’s was probably the best up of coffee I have ever had - and I travel the world for my job

Tried Brazil’s for the first time and it was honestly one of the best meals I have had, presentation first class, service was friendly and efficient, an absolute must for anyone.

Bit on the pricey side. But the food was excellent and the service fantastic. Limited menu, but that's normal with freshly prepared food. Worth it for a special occasion.

Second visit. Fine dining. The best tortellini and pork tenderloin I have had in a while. Jazz in the background polite service and delicious food including a sorbet with a hidden ingredient. Do pay them a visit.

Excellent meal and service, 3rd time dining there. The chorizo tortellini was excellent with a slight kick from the chorizo. The Guinea fowl had crisp skin and the jus complemented it well. The potatoes were cooked perfectly. The lemon tart was a lovely refreshing end to the meal.

We have had two anniversary meals as a couple at Brazils. We enjoyed them so much that we celebrated my birthday with 8 of us. Once more, the welcome was so warm, the food enjoyed by all three generations and everything was just perfect. Thank you!!

I booked for my husbands birthday as I wanted to go somewhere a bit special. This was our first time at Brazil’s and we really enjoyed the delicious fresh food. Service was very good and the atmosphere was pleasant. More expensive than your average restaurant but I’m happy to pay a little more for such good food and service. We will be back :)

First try of this place in the evening

Had the potato dumping, which are wow! My boyfriend had the saffron arancini. Both dishes piping hot and both we were raving about. Its a cute little location too.

Last visited, much to our surprise, 1 year ago as a couple. Delighted to find that the quality of food has not slipped and the service is as informed and attentive as ever. A small venue with about 20 covers which preserves it's intimacy and allows the chef to spend the right amount of time to prepare and deliver a varied offering. The location in the Market Square continues to improve as more locals are attracted to an increasing number of dining and craft food/drink options in Chesham and Brazils is one of the "go to" destinations.

Have been meaning to go here for a while and finally went last night! Why hadn’t we been before?! Lovely food beautifully presented. Freshly cooked and piping hot. Wine was great too. Will definitely go back

Another lovely morning brunch - valentine day special ! What’s not to like and enjoy - quality of food, excellent service and relaxed atmosphere....

Went last Thursday to try out Brazils as often thought I should. Four of us went along after a couple of 'liveners' in the Squirrel and want an excellent experience it was. Food, service and wine all very very good. Would recommend and look forwards to a follow up. Menu isn't extensive but doesn't matter; good range of food types, though not sure if much for the Vegans out there but then again why would you!? Anyway big fan of Gilbeys in the past but this place is on better form and the service is sooo much better than my Old Am favourite. Treat yourself without scaring your wallet.

Visited last week and have to say I was really impressed. Food was well cooked and good quality, and we left with the impression that the staff really cared about what they served and whether the guests enjoyed it.

Definitely not kid friendly. Food was just average. Desserts were goo, coffee was barely average. Would not go there again. Recommended by a local family who had heard of it, but had not been there.

Brilliant from start to finish! The welcome was heartfelt and sincere, the food arrived with perfect relaxed timing and the tastes were incredible! We will definitely be returning! A great little find in Chesham!

A Friday night dinner for two - simply superb. The service is incredibly professional, the food was outstanding (special mentions must go to the home-made coffee ice cream), and the sommelier's choice of wine was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and will be back - again and again .... Thank you all so much!

I visited there with work colleagues prior to going to the theatre. Fabulous quality of food and the service was also excellent. I had the rack of lamb which was to die for. I would whole-heartedly recommend you visit this fabulous establishment. xxx

I am writing this review as we had such an excellent evening here last Friday. The service, food and atmosphere is first class and I highly recommend a visit. We are quick to criticize when places get it wrong but forget to praise when they get it right. Please support this local business. We need more restaurants like these

Yet another super meal. Visited on Good Friday. The goats cheese tart was lovely, sea Bass just perfect. Apparently the Rabbit good also. Chocolate fondant to die for. Staff are just so welcoming and attentive.

We have been to Brazil’s kitchen twice now.

Excellent venue for late breakfast or lunch. The food is healthy, beautifully presented, and served by enthusiastic and professional staff. Open for lunch/brunch until 2pm and Evenings Wednesday to Saturday.

A warm welcome from both hosts, and an exceptional meal of King Prawns served with a fabulous glass of rose. What a find! Thank you so much; I look forward to visiting again soon

Went for a family birthday celebration. All five of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Friendly and efficient service. We dine out a fair amount, can honestly say this compares very favourably. I greatly look forward to a return visit.

With Mothering Sunday booked out solidly we decided we simply had to treat ourselves somehow. Our clever hosts cracked the challenge and booked us in 24 hours early and we were off!. Brazils was a new experience for us. Our friends though had been before and were very complementary and had set the scene for us. Brazils was a lovely homage to an authentic butcher from yesteryear but now transformed into a fine dining experience. Charming and welcoming service from the off was maintained throughout and delivered really delicious and satisfying food.

Friendly service relaxed atmosphere and wonderful food. Also cool background music. We enjoyed our 3 courses starters especially the rabbit dish and the lamb and the desserts. We will return.

We've had several meals at this gem of a restaurant. It is intimate and cosy with just a few tables, making it even more special. The menu is seasonal and each time we've eaten we've had a great choice including meals for a vegetarian/ vegan.

Another excellent meal in a convivial atmosphere. I understand why the price might deter some from visiting but on the whole the experience is good value. It is always full so bums on seats probably tells you all you need to know.

Dinner for two on a Wednesday. Small and cosy venue with superb service. Not a wide selectuon on the menu but all very high quality. Duck particularly good.

This was booked by some friends who live locally and we weren't sure what to expect... Bowled over. What a gem. Delicious food, great wine, perfect service. Definitely highly recommended. Reasonable prices and good portions- not too big, not too small. Lovely couple running it really well. Go. You won't be disappointed.

The title says it all really! Just had our second visit. This intimate little restaurant (maybe 25 covers) is on top of its game. The food is prepared beautifully and the front of house service is impeccable. This is a little gem and a game changer for Chesham!

This is our third visit to Brazils but first review. The menu is changed each month so there are always new things to try and thus far we have enjoyed every meal. The restaurant is small so you need to book well in advance but it is worth it even if you have to wait a few weeks. Nice to have music [Swiss Jazz radio channel apparently] in the background that didn't drown out the conversation. It is expensive for Chesham but definitely adds something different to the offerings available in the area.

Brazils had been recommended by several friends so we must have caught an off night. Crab croquettes were overpowered by the sauces and the duck was over cooked and tasteless. I left half and the waiter asked and was informed why. No offer of reduction or complimentary 'glass' to compensate. Cheese board cold and tasteless. Will not be returning.

Could this be the best restaurant in South Bucks? Probably! Combination of ever changing menus and relaxed and awesome service - great for family celebrations as well as business dinners ! Consistently outstanding

Pleasant decor making a nice ambience. The food was absolutely delicious, stunning flavours bouncing off the tastebuds, the food here has been cooked with imagination and love. The main ingredients (I had guinea fowl) were of a very high standard and generous portions. I rarely write reviews but have been so impressed with this little gem in the heart of Chesham that I want to let everyone know.

Came here for husband's birthday treat. We have been many times before and we were made to feel just as special...as if our first time. Lovely food, drinks and ambience all round.

The osso buco tortellini starter was excellent. The pasta al dente, filling was tasty and the sauce complemented it well. The guinea fowl was OK, could have done with a jus to go with it, I thought that the sweet cabbage was a bit bland but the Parma ham provided a nice bit of saltiness. The chocolate and chilli fondant was lovely with the right amount of chilli to give you a little kick in the mouth and the pistachio ice cream with it was great.

Went to Brazil’s last night for a birthday celebration and there was 23 of us so took over the whole of the restaurant. The food and service were excellent with a cosy ambience. I would highly recommend this family run restaurant. The menu is varied and they cater for individual dietary needs.

This restaurant could not be faulted. Home cooked delicious food beautifully presented. The staff were very pleasant,attentive but not over-bearing. Excellent wine list red wine served at the correct room temperature. Thank you so much for making our occasion so special.

If you want a really special meal. Beautifully cooked and well presented along with fabulous service this is the place to go.

We visited this Friday night. We thoroughly enjoyed our food. It was so good both visually and to eat, we kept thinking Greg Wallace and John Torode were going to walk in for Masterchef. The staff were friendly without being overbearing. It isn't cheap, but we thought its better than some of the posher places in Old Amersham. The menu changes monthly and there is a small choice on the menu, but it is a small place. We will be back

We found out about Brazil's from a recommendation and were not disappointed! My wife and I have two young kids so when we go out (rarely!!) we need it to be good. Brazil's didn't let us down.

Well worth visiting for that special evening, well done to the owners for starting something new for Chesham we will be back to repeat the treat.

We have the fortune to live very close to Brazil’s and have been at least once a month since they revamped to a wonderful restaurant in September 2017. This is a gem and is definitely what Chesham needs.

The crab and squid ink tortellini was perfectly al dente and sauce with it wasn't overpowering. The sesame and honey sauce with the duck complemented the pepper. The pak choi wasn't bitter. The chocolate and hazelnut tart was good and ice cream with it was quite sweet offsetting the chocolate.

We at last got to sample the restaurant at Brazils following it's transformation from cafe to restaurant. Well worth waiting for as we were treated to the chef's amuse bouche and all enjoyed their choices - favourites were the salmon starter, the pork tenderloin main and creme brulee dessert. Situated in a charming part old Chesham opposite Market Square and the Clock Tower - plenty of atmosphere.

My husband and I have been a few times to Brazils for dinner and it has always been great.

Make sure to book in advance as difficult to get in without booking! Really nice place, small and cosy, great food and wine and excellent, attentive and freindly service. Delighted to have discivered this little restaurant in Chesham!

This was our third visit, everything was just delicious. I had the scallops and the pork loin last night just perfect, finished with a lemon tart. All 3 of us have thoroughly enjoyed our meals lots of clean plates. Nice cosy atmosphere. Keep up the good work just what Chesham needs.

Don't under-estimate this little gastronomic corner of Chesham - it is a true gem. Our group of 5 people had a superb meal at Brazils.

Visited Brazil’s last night for a casual weekday early dinner.

Really good quality food , well considered and delivered with excellent friendly service - the menu is changed on a monthly basis and consists of 4 or 5 selections of starter , main and pud: having been a few times, the quality is excellent and is a step up,on anything else close by. You won’t be dissapointed.

This place shows that having a limited menu and doing it incredibly well works, the chicken was incredible, the service was impeccable and the beer was fantastic.

We’ve been meaning to try this place since it opened, it was a shame that we left it as long as we did. This place is fabulous.

This is easily the best restaurant hereabouts and possibly the best I've been to. It's 5* dining at reasonable prices. The staff are friendly, the surroundings are unpretentious and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The menu changes monthly so we need to go back before May is out so that we can taste the dishes we didn't try last night.

Staff are really attentive, relaxed atmosphere, food is excellent and we will definitely be revisiting. Also, menu changes monthly, so roll on June 😋😋

Despite being such a small, compact establishment, Brazils managed not only to accommodate eleven of us, but there were also tables of four and six respectively. Pleasantly surprised at how effortlessly we were attended to (though we did have to decide on our choice of dishes in advance). I had three courses and all were jolly good, particularly the duck breast which was presented in a very theatrical and impressive manner (I won't say how as it would spoil the surprise!).

We had such a fabulous evening at Brazil's.. The decor has been really beautifully done, the service is outstanding and the food superb... People have said that it's expensive, but not for what it is - if you were to go to Gilbey's in Old...

Came here for the 1st time as we wanted to support local restaurants with more traditional food. Booking was easy and friendly by email. Being small, gets booked up a bit. The greeting and attention was great from the beginning and advance information regarding dietary...

What an amazing place and a very short flat walk from where I live, I have waiting for a place like this in Chesham. There was great service very friendly and helpful staff, a small menu choice but that was because they use fresh seasonal...

Just had a fabulous time at Brazils, they are welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. The menu is small but a fantastic selection they regularly change the menu. It has a superb atmosphere and you soon feel at easy and chilled.I cannot recommend this place enough and the pictures hopefully say it all. It's not cheap but the food is awesome and a great place for a celebration of any sort. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

First visit to Brazil’s in its new guise as an up market restaurant and found it simply superb.

We have now been to Brazils Kitchen three times. Each time has been excellent, and the fillet tornados that I had the last time was amazing. The staff are friendly but professional, the atmosphere is good, and intimate with so few tables. Overall a great experience. Best thing to happen to Chesham town centre in ages.

Went to Brazils last Wednesday it was very very good we had the steak and three of us all said best ever almost melted in the mouth.
