Branching Out in Bromley

Poor quality sandwich (it was on specials) very thin halloumi and sweet chilli sauce like water dripped out. Not good value for money. I am not fussy at all but this was a disappointing wrap. Won't be returning when there are much better cafes in Beckenham.

Nice decor inside and staff very friendly and efficient. Great that the cafe is open at 8 on a Sunday. Attached to a florist so be prepared that you may see a florist preparing a reef for a funeral. The door is through the adjacent florist. The first time I went I saw a florist preparing a reef on the shop floor which may be a little raw for someone if you have recently lost someone. Not a fault of the cafe but should be considered by the florist side of business. This of course will depend on the individual and timing. Went for breakfast but found the menu limited. Very little vegan options or menu didn’t make it clear. I’m not fully vegan but do try to have vegan were possible. What food we did have was excellent if a little pricy but as I mentioned quality good. Toilet outside round the back. Door handle tricky so had to wait with my son as he didn’t want to get stuck.

I popped into the florist today , I was going to a funeral and I was dropping my flowers to the undertakers which was a couple of doors up. Unfortunately I had lost my card so I asked if I could buy a card I was told no we don't sell them , I asked if she could help me out , all the woman kept repeating was its not my shop im not allowed to sell or give you a card. Bloody ridiculous ! Refused point blank to help me . I went to Alexander's florist down the road like chalk and cheese ! The couple couldn't have been nicer or more helpful . I know which florist id choose

Was refused a coffee before closing time. Made a wasted journey today. Will not be going back as it was embarrassing situation

Branching Out has become one of our favourite places for coffee & cake particularly in these Covid times as the staff all wear masks and the tables are cleaned regularly. Service is unfailingly welcoming and courteous with staff taking the time to chat to customers who clearly value the community spirit . Coffee is frothy and hot just the way I like it, and we try a different one of their delicious home made cakes each time.

Amazing gluten free options and wonderful, friendly service! Selection of cakes, bagels, breakfasts and sandwiches and all in a beautiful setting. We sat outside in the beautiful sunshine. Their gluten free bagels are divine! Was also pleasantly surprised to be able to get a pot of rooibos (red bush) tea here.

I really like this place for gifts, hot drinks and cake. Personally I think the food menu needs to be better in quality and variety. I love the countryside feel of this establishment and the staff are super friendly.

Visited Branching out today to order funeral flowers. The kindness and consideration shown for my daughter who was having to choose flowers for her dad was exceptional. A difficult experience couldn't have been made more positive by the staff of both the florist and the coffee shop. Highly recommend Branching out not just for the lovely coffee and beautiful flowers but also for the wonderful staff who are always, without exception, determined to ensure your visit is a good one.

Went here to use my birthday vouchers I had received a while ago. What a treat, and all I can say is that I am sorry I have not visited sooner!! Enjoyed a lovely latte and hubby enjoyed his orange juice. The two toasted ciabattas we chose were absolutely delicious, as was the chocolate cake we shared - although it was difficult to choose from all the lovely cakes that were on offer, including gluten free. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff and customers. Really fantastic place. would highly recommend. Thank you!!

I visited this lovely cafe today which had closed for the afternoon so my daughters friends could hold the baby shower here. The afternoon tea and refreshments were lovely and staff and the cafe were very welcoming. Also the adjoining shop which is a florist have some lovely bits and pieces to buy for Christmas. Pop in and see and the coffee is excellent too.

Haven’t been able to visit here for a while so decided it was long overdue. Upon arrival found cafe to be busy but not noisy, with a relaxed nice atmosphere. Nice menu with good specials and varied choice of freshly homemade cakes available, all reasonably priced. We all opted for toasted sandwiches and hot chocolate drinks which given the number of people who were also eating, arrived promptly, warm and tasty. Service was polite and friendly. Will definitely be returning here again soon when meeting up with friends. Nice to see an independent venue still so popular and doing well - keep up the good work!

I just love this place, it is perfect to visit with friends, family or alone. Staff are so friendly and the food fantastic. I love the items they have for sale dotted around the shop, and the bookcase is a great addition. I look forward to every visit.

This coffee shop is completely dog friendly and doesn't serve turmeric lattes. Think the customer review recently has got the wrong shop!

I went to meet with my daughter’s classmates mums and having read on a review that it was dog friendly I took my Cavalier King Charles with me. The owners weren’t happy to have a dog in and suggested that I could leave him out. When I said that I was leaving they agreed to let the dog in this one time, so I stayed. The turmeric late I had was a bit too strong for me but the place is nice overall.

I love branching out , lovely friendly staff , lots of choice of cakes and savoury selection of food . I highly recommend a visit , yummy food , best chocolate brownies ever and lovely coffee .

This is just the friendliest cafe ever and the food is wonderful. I think I have tried every cake and am now trying the savoury options. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the coffee is excellent.

I have been here a few times with friends to celebrate birthdays. This is a wonderful cafe with the added bonus of a florist and knicknacks to buy as well. The sandwiches, toasties and bagels are generously filled and the selection of cakes is amazing. Hot food and soup also available. The owner always as a smile and willing to help. A good little business

Visited branching out today for an afternoon tea it was a surprise treat for my 4 year old granddaughter as she started school this week and loves afternoon tea I would strongly recommend this lovely cafe/ florist the staff are very friendly and nothing is to much trouble the food was outstanding the atmosphere was brilliant very child/ pet friendly my granddaughter even came away with a gift and the smell of fresh flowers was lovely I would definitely recommend a visit here and we will be visiting on a regular basis thankyou to all the staff for making us feel so welcome

Delicious cakes, especially ginger cake. Cakes are amazing and there are always lots of different choices.

Branching out is a cracking little cafe with fantastic cakes and coffee as well as toasties and other light bites. There is a fantastic florist onsite and a range of gifts and cards available also. The staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble and dogs are very welcome.

This is a gem of a place! They put on a splendid afternoon tea for my daughters pre wedding. Lovely friendly atmosphere and space. Staff are excellent and very accomadating. Their floral displays are a treat for your senses! Give yourself a treat and do visit this venue. Well done and thanks very much!

An interesting setting for a coffee shop in a florists that also sells home accessories and greeting cards. Tables are all different shapes and sizes, set amongst the other parts to the shop, creates a genuinely relaxed atmosphere not found in the big coffee shops. The coffee was perfect and there was a wide selection of cakes. Hygiene is good and the place looks tidy and well looked after. Worth a visit, but who ever looks on TA for a coffee shop???!! I wrote this review because the place impressed me and the owners should be congratulated.

I have been to Branching Out on various occasions; by myself, with my mother, on my own with my newborn and/or toddler, and as a family. Every time the staff are extremely attentive and couldn't do anything more for us. They even go along with me when I pretend to my son that they can make Superman pizza (cheese and tomato on toast!). Much of my maternity leave will be spent there I am sure!!

Cheese on toast, toasties and cake all very yummy. Relaxing atmosphere and just a short walk from where I live, what more could I ask for. They also sell cards, gifts and flowers. The cafe is in the area of the parade of shops by Elmers End Green.

Lovely range of tea, coffee, cakes and soft drinks etc. Can be a bit of challenge to manouvre around when busy. You'll need to order at the counter and then it will be brought to your table. Service always welcoming.

I just discovered this lovely place and spent a happy hour outside with a yummy warm croissant and butter and jams served in little covered pots on a slate tray. I also enjoyed chatting to people passing. Traffic noise wasn't too intrusive. Lovely flower shop...

Cuando entramos en la que sólo había 4 personas en la cafetería, había una chica bastante joven detrás del mostrador que no reconocen nuestra llegada con una sonrisa o una buena mañana. Nos sentamos en una mesa y nos preguntó si podíamos tener un menú, pero tuvimos que caminar hasta el mostrador para ellos, parece que también tiene que subir y el orden, en ningún momento nos sentimos mucho.

Often pop in here for coffee and cake - absolutely love the lemon and raspberry cake. They also sell unusual gifts and cards.

I always pop in here for a quick snack and coffee to go usually on my way out walking the dog. The staff are friendly, and they've always got such lovely things in there to look at. Bought my sister a cute make up bag for Christmas. Coffee fresh and strong and the grub is lovely as well!

I often meet a friend for coffee and toasted cheese sandwich which I have to say really is the best. The staff are great, cheery, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this for good food. Bonus is the beautiful florist attached to it so you can browse after your coffee.

Always a delicious range of cakes and now with the added option of Prosecco, lovely! The light bites menu is also very tasty, nothing not to like.

I had lived in Beckenham for some months before I discovered this place. Originally a florist (which still operates from the original half of the shop) this cafe and meeting place is much loved by locals in the know. From the yummy mummies in the morning with their buggies to the regular lunchtime workers, this cafe caters to all. Food is fresh and well prepared, served imaginatively (on slate tiles, for example) and the coffee is properly prepared by people who have been well trained. Such a good find - I had previously despaired of finding any really well made coffee in Beckenham. There are books to borrow, cards and trinkets to buy, and a regular comedy night which sells out well in advance and is a hoot. Try it!

This is a lovely little coffee shop and with the added bonus of having a nice cup of coffee and snack whilst having maybe a bespoke bunch flowers made up whilst you wait! Their flower and bouquet designs never fail to please, excellent service all round service.

I have been coming to this café for over a year now and I have never been disappointed.Toasted sandwiches are a must (with tasty salad and sauces on the side)! One of the best coffee in Beckenham with a caramelised biscuit on the saucer. Carrot cake - ohhh my days, simply delicious. There is also a great variety of juice and San Pellegrino for a hot day.The staff are super friendly and know how to look after their customers. ALWAYS smiling and willing to go the extra mile.Absolutely love the flower arrangements on the tables but also in the toilet. It is the little things that make the difference and it is great to see that the café is always busy! Beckenham's little gem...Well done girls! :D

A really welcoming Café with access for humans and dogs alike. A very civilised and socially demanded facility nowadays. Inside and outside eating ...... outside is well covered and has wind breaks around the seating area. Even open on Sundays (until 2pm) which is great after a canine stroll.Coffee is hot and reasonably strong, cakes are lovely, toasted sandwiches are scrummy too. Fare is rather limited, but in the interests of simplicity in the kitchen and perhaps a speedier service, this is acceptable. But please do get rid of the slate "plates" ...... they are too small, messy, and soooo yesterday ;-))

We booked Branching Out at short notice for tea after a small family funeral at Beckenham Crematorium. Emma and Louise were so helpful and friendly and the selection of sandwiches, warm sausage rolls, quiche slices, scones with jam and cream and several different cakes was superb. The best scones I have ever tasted! Everyone commented on how good the food was and the lovely decor. Flowers on the table were a nice touch too and some gentle background music made the perfect setting. I cannot recommend Branching Out more highly for an event or go for one of the best afternoon teas around!

My Husband and I regularly visit with our dog after a long walk at the weekends. Coffee is great and the cakes delicious. They also cater for those on a gluten free diet, my hubby is a coeliac and always has a choice of cake or sandwich. Staff are wonderful all very friendly, they also have gifts and flowers for sale a one stop shop!

Branching Out is a lovely florist & coffee shop which just oozes friendliness. All the staff are lovely and Emma and Louise, the owners, are just fabulous and make every single person feel welcome and part of a big family. The coffee, large selection of cakes and the savoury menu (select but very nice) are all tasty and well priced and you can't help but want to walk through into the florist to see the gifts and flowers and watch the ladies making the floral arrangements. All in all, Branching Out is the place to go if you want a classy, chic and cheerful experience with your coffee or a coffee with your beautiful flowers. Can't recommend highly enough.

Nice enough cafe next to a florist. Coffee was average - too hot for me but quite big portion if that's what you like! Nice rarebit but came on a piece of slate which is hard to eat off. Lovely staff and perfect for the London suburbs and locals.

Branching Out has very quickly become one of our top favourite places to visit for coffee, cake and flowers. Emma, Louise and the team are friendly, helpful and attentive. The quality of food and flowers is second to none and the ladies go out of their way to make any occasion a special one. Plus, they are dog friendly which is an added bonus!

This is a great newer place to have coffee and cakes. Tasteful, upmarket feel but with down to earth friendliness which is hard to beat. I really like their guinness and choc cake! Also handy if you want to buy tasteful cards and fragrant burning lamps as novel presents!

Lovely cafe and florist run by Louise and Emma, they know everyone personally and you always such a warm welcome, fab coffee and cakes and beautiful flowers, this is a very special local addition to Elmers End, love it.

Great atmosphere, great service, gorgeous cakes and really tasty coffee! They have plans to do a light lunch menu which if the cakes are anything to go by will be very tasty too. They have the pricing just right and its in a great spot to meet friends. Although its situated just off a fairly busy junction it doesn't feel frenetic as its set back from the road slightly.

I have now visited 'Branching Out' out three times when I have visited Beckenham, and every time I have been delighted with the wonderful quality of the coffee, mouth watering cakes, attention to detail, and personal, warm and friendly service. It's also very dog friendly, both inside and out and has a great laid back vibe. And if that wasn't enough, I ordered some flowers for a friend's 50th birthday in the adjoining shop and they were truly breathtaking. Louise and Emma obviously work incredibly hard and they deserve to go from strength to strength.

A fantastic place to go for a catch up with friends! The welcome is warm and friendly ,you get a great cup of coffee and a huge slice of the most divine range of cakes! A fantastic addition to Elmer's End - you need to visit soon!!!
