Came here for our 20th wedding anniversary whilst visiting Newcastle and wow 🤩 the service and food was well worth every penny!!

Josh was a superb attendant would defo come again

went for Sunday lunch food was amazing great sized portions and service was the best we’ve had in the North East well worth a visit thankyou for a great experience .

This is our favorate restaurant in Jesmond it serves good food although the menu is limited and changes rarely The service is slow. Dietary needs are not catered for well.

Outstanding food, and great service - one of the best meals we have had! Will definitely be back.

A fabulous fine dining restaurant. The gourmet food is very well presented and absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and very professional. From entering the establishment, you are greeted with curtesy they take your doesn't happen often enough in most restraunts. The decor inside is well designed with a feature blossom tree taking pride of place. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back

It was a fairly quiet night when I went in, but even so, it had a good vibe. It's quite bright but not overly so. The tree in the middle of the restaurant is quite impressive, although about a foot too low for all but one of the waiters. The service was very good, just appearing at the right times and calm and relaxed. All the food was very nicely cooked. The prawns for starters were on point and the in-between bits tasty. I will definitely be returning.

Couldn't fault the quality amd the of food, service, cocktails and staff. What a brilliantly-run establishment! They deserve the awards they have won so far and I'm sure there are more to come. We were here for a birthday celebration and it was made extra special by all of the above. Highly recommended.

Birthday weekend for the wife. So researched restaurants Dobson and pernal looked like the one to go to . Went for meal and day after went to Branches..me and the wife said Branches just piped Dobson pernal .. 👍🥇👍

This place deserves all 5 stars for everything! We wanted something special for our Anniversary and they certainly didn't disappoint. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked through the doors. They took our jackets, while we sat in the bar area for a drink. The mojito, was beautifully presented, with a little vanilla bubble, and coconut dry ice! We chose black pudding and belly pork, and beetroot and goats cheese for starters, these were amazing. Seafood linguine and chicken for main courses, again perfectly cooked, and very tasty. Desserts, sticky toffee pudding and the mango cheesecake were delicious. The restaurant was cosy, clean, and we requested a table under the "tree". The staff were lovely, attentive, pleasant and the little extras were rather special too. Thank you to all the Banches team for making a night to remember, highly recommended for a special meal out. Hope to see you again soon.

Best table service in all of Newcastle, hands down. All of the staff are attentive, polite, and have clearly been trained to provide a 5 star experience. We are never disappointed when we go to Branches - the food, and particularly the service, is the best in Newcastle.

Treat by a family member & it didn't disappoint. Compliments to the chef. Absolutely delicious food. Only one tiny thing. There could be more eye to detail on the table when courses are finished.

We had a family get together for a Sunday lunch recently and not for the first time. As usual the food was excellent and given how busy it was, the waiting staff and attention was good . The major problem came at the end of the meal, there was some confusion over the bill regarding a starter, when it was queried a head waiter/manager came over to intervene. He was particularly blunt and somewhat rude which took us by surprise. It was resolved however it embarrassed my family, myself and soured the day. We left feeling deflated and all questioned whether we would return again or not..

The best Sunday lunch we've had in ages! The service was fabulous. Friendly and attentive but not intrusive in any way. A beautiful restaurant with an upmarket but relaxed atmosphere. Then there's the food. Wow. My mussels were perfect but it's little things like putting sauce at the bottom of the prawn cocktail so you've got sauce to go with all the salad! I then had the beef and my other half had the trio of meats. The meat was beautiful quality and perfectly cooked and the vegetables were stunning. My only regret is that I didn't have room for more than sorbet for dessert! Although the sorbet was fantastic. 100% recommend for a stunning Sunday lunch. It's not cheap but not extortionate and worth every penny. Thanks Team Branches!

Tried for first time today with my mam for the tasting menu. Food was outstanding. Excellent value and service was amazing the lady who served us always had a smile on her face and looked after us really well with wine top ups. It's beautiful inside and I can highly recommend 👌 we have booked to try Sunday lunch next.

Amazing service, stunning food full of flavour and absolutely gorgeous place, it was a food experience and highly recommended it .

Had a lovely late lunch here, service was great, courses were in swift succession no waiting around, the food was perfect! Really enjoyed my artful dessert & although very delicious, I still suffered food envy when I could smell the aroma of sticky toffee pudding! A good excuse to go back!! We parked around the corner easily 2 hours no return, a short walk to Branches.

Food was average. It’s the wrong location for the prices charged hence why it was half empty on a Saturday night. Shd have stayed in Ponteland

Absolutely faboulous. From the second you walk through the door the service is impeccable. We had a lovely 3 course sunday lunch and everything from the food, the atmosphere & the service was PERFECT.. Lovely starters/main & desert. The 2 waitressess upstairs that served us were friendly, attentive & professional and made it a lovely day. A massive thank you to you all and we will highly reccomend you. 👍

Great restaurant in lovely surroundings great attentive staff great food all of which come at a price but if you can splash out on occasions this is the place to do it ,not sure what it would be like if it was full tables in quite close proximity but that's an unknown for us as it wasn't that busy, as it was on a Wednesday, iwill definitely visit again

Only called in for a drink, treated impeccably buy the staff. BEAUTIFUL INTERIOR.Tere is a massive Fake Apple tree, covered in white blossom, right in the centre of the two storey, gallery eating area. A "MUST VISIT" place if you are near by .External decor impressive too.Was very busy serving meals on our visit.

The best restaurant in the City. Food excellent . The staff just want diners to have a great time and are so attentive to everyone's needs

Had the absolute pleasure visiting today. The service was amazing, food was outstanding and the establishment was beautiful. Will definitely be going back. We all had the Sunday lunch menu. Everything was so tasty!

Fantastic Sunday Lunch like a Christmas lunch

Very good food. It has a Michelin feel to it, with the food decorated very nicely. As far as I am aware, it does not have a Michelin star. Service is very good. It is on the pricey side, but the food was great. As we went as a family, tried different dishes. I feel the best one was the ‘8 oz rib eye steak’. Very meaty and grilled taste. Well cooked. There was a in between dish which are rounded balls, tasted like croquettes, they were nice, but I can’t find the name. I think it was given as a special. Everything else were good but felt it was pricey. Recommended for special occasions. Don’t forget to wear smart

We felt rushed throughout the meal only to find out at the end that the manager wanted us to leave so that someone else, clearly more deserving than us (thank you Branches) could have our table. Our evening was ruined. We shall not be returning.

Walked past this restaurant many times on my trips to Newcastle, I should have visited before now. An exceptional dining experience from start to finish, a good bar and cocktail menu and served warm bread and Amuse-bouche as tasters. Well presented and flavoursome courses followed, all served by knowledgeable and professional staff. I will definitely be back, thank you for a great evening.

What an incredible restaurant Branches is. Visited last week with my partner and we were both blown away with both the food and the service. By far some of the best food I've eaten! I had the pan roasted garlic prawns to start which were cooked to perfection and the focaccia underneath it was fantastic. For my main I had slow cooked black belly pork which absolutely melted in my mouth, the crackling was sublime, and everything else on the plate worked perfectly with the dish. Every member of staff greets you with a smile and the fella on front of house duties is a credit to your team, sadly I didn't catch his name! The venue itself is dressed incredibly well and the tree in the middle of the restaurant is a great touch. Will definitely be returning, probably with more family members in tow!

What a fantastic experience. The staff were excellent and the food was truly phenomenal. I haven't had an experience this good in Newcastle for a very long time. Could not recommend this more. (The king prawn & chorizo starter was a real highlight, and the french martini was the best I've ever had!)

Love Branches, their a la carte menu is fab but have always fancied the Sunday lunch as the social media posts look so appealing. We were not disappointed. Food was delicious, plenty of it , combination of flavours was gorgeous, total respect and compliments to the chef. Its the whole experience that makes the restaurant so good, ambiance , decor but also 100% staff and service, friendly, attentive without being over the top, just right. Cant wait to go back.

Could not have chosen a better venue for our family to celebrate my sisters 18th. Our private room for 15 was perfect, food was delicious and service was brilliant - especially Stephanie who went above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after. Every part of the day was immaculate, thank you Branches! We’ll all be back.

Well...over priced restaurant ,over priced drinks, meal was OK, nothing special, wouldn't go back as I find south shields much much cheaper.

I am so glad my husband and I discovered this restaurant while on holiday in Newcastle. Luckily, it was right next to our hotel. The atmosphere was romantic and the interiors were very elegant. Every dish was delicious and presented artistically. Even the bread served with butter and salt with crushed peppercorns was so good. So was their soup of the day. The highlight for me was the salmon and seafood dish. My husband enjoyed his fish and chips too. We were even given some complimentary fish cakes which were delightful. For a fine dining restaurant, it was reasonably priced. Their staff were very attentive as well. We’d love to come back the next time we visit Newcastle.

Me and girlfriend came down for a dinner on Wednesday evening. The greeting was professional, welcoming and just amazing. The staff were overall amazing and did a beautiful job on every occasion! The decor was welcoming, warming and pleasant. We were served by an amazing waitress (Eve/Eva - long blonde hair) her service deserves a raise!!!! She made sure that we had everything and that our food came on time! She made our night a memorable one by taking pictures and just going above and beyond! The food was exquisite and well priced. Presentation and quality was out of this world! The chef's little surprise and the bread was lovely, an amazing addition! Shout out to the chefs! I recommend branches for anyone for any occasion whether it's family or romantic occasions. Thank you once again!

I took my father and children to the restaurant for a Sunday lunch. We didn't have a booking, but the staff still found us a table despite being busy. The food, both adult and child menus, was fantastic; perfectly cooked, great ingredients and portion sizes more than adequate. The highlight was the staff, every member of the serving staff plus the front of house were top class. Would highly recommend and can confirm the experience is definitely value for money.

If you go to Newcastle and you want good service and top quality food, go to Branches. Stuart the manager runs a tight ship. My waitress/server was as good as I have had in NY/LA/london. I took my mum, she loved it.. Thanks for looking after us.
