Had a lovely afternoon tea with a great selection of savouries sandwiches scones and cakes . It was very cosy with good service highly recommend

Great place to meet the family for a light lunch

Food was cooked to a high standard Small thing that could be improved the experience is that the cutlery and knapkin could be placed down next to each customer rather than being put down in a heap on the table. Service good apart from this.

A perfect little tea room, best experienced outdoors on a sunny day when one can relax and enjoy the ambiance. The food is excellent and the service wonderfully unhurried and friendly (be prepared for a wait when busy). Best to book to avoid disappointment.

We were so impressed with the service, attitude and smiles from all the staff…lovely place to bring friends or special occasions too! We had just walked out of a tea room in East Whittering as the staff were so miserable and unfriendly… we drove up the road and found this beauty! Lovely grounds, very clean and well kept.. you can tell the owners/staff really have pride and passion for what they do! We all had cream tea which was lovely. Well done girls… your doing a great job x many thanks.. we will be visiting again soon❤️

Beautiful garden to sit in. Helpful staff with our wheelchair user who found the pebbles hard to crosse plentiful afternoon tea. Good value for money. Well presented.definitely will come back

Myself and two friends had afternoon tea here today it was one of the best we've had. The food was lovely, we sat in the pretty garden,the staff were friendly and it was reasonably priced. Definitely will return

This is the second time we have been, booked a table for three for Afternoon Tea, reasonable priced and a very pleasant setting.

Feedback is important! Came here for a baby shower and afternoon tea. £15 per person. Beautiful thatched house, but a real shame about the service and food. Left very disappointed. Just because someone has an allergy to fish and another person asked for no mustard, we were told we had to move out of our seat and sit on a separate "allergy" table for 2 people like we were children and couldn't be trusted. Luckily the person I shared my food with was a Friend or that could of been very awkward. I've never been to an afternoon tea where you don't have 2 of each item to try. We were given plain cheese and plain ham (VERY DRY) while everyone else had coronation chicken amd egg with their selection. When asked why we didn't have this, she said because you wanted no mustard, I said well I could of had one, I just can't have fish, so the lady went around the other tables trying to pinch a coronation chicken off their plate. Highly embarrassing and quite Frankly, unprofessional. No-one gave up their sandwich and I don't blame them. When asked if we would like a top up of tea, we got some plain boiling water, not even another tea bag, very pointless and the tea was too weak and undrinkable with just adding water. The staff really struggled to crack a smile and made us feel very unwanted and unwelcomed. First time I've ever come away from afternoon tea hungry! I hope this feedback helps and improves your business.

A superb English tea room , we were inside as the weather wasn't that good but the service and selection made up for the weather we would have loved to go outside in the beautiful gardens maybe next time. P.s mind your head on the beams I didn't 😵‍💫😊 but where there's no sense there's no feeling 😁😆

Popped in for breakfast at 11:40 but finished 11:30 so went for the Prawn sandwiches which were delicious! Will be back to try the Breakfast ‘afternoon tea’ & the special

I have wanted to try this tea room for a long time - it has lots of good reviews, and often comes up as one of the best tea rooms in West Sussex on various websites. I cannot fault the setting - it is a lovely thatched building, with very pretty and immaculate gardens, beautifully kept. For these aspects I would rate it to be excellent. However, as far as the food and general service goes, it is poor. We arrived on a Sunday at lunch time. It was surprisingly quiet, with perhaps 6 people sitting inside. We sat outside as it was a beautiful day, and were the only ones outside enjoying the gardens. I ordered Welsh Rarebit (which was £8.35 plus an additional £1 for sweet pickle). It is by far the worst rarebit I have ever had - please see my photo; the layer of cheese topping was so thin, that you could see the bread in places. The bread was soggy. The cheese topping was congealing. There was no sign of the sweet pickle I had paid extra for. It was horrid, and difficult to eat. I managed to eat less than half of it, and that was only because I was very hungry. The small side salad with dressing was the best thing on the plate. I had wanted to try one of their cakes, but this meal put me off spending any more money. My partner had a cream tea - the scone was average, but the strawberry jam was poor supermarket quality. His earl grey tea was weak and lacked flavour. I enjoyed my diet coke the most! Once the waitress had given us our food, we didn't see any members of staff in the garden again. They did not even ask when we went to pay inside if we had enjoyed our food. The bill was just under £20. It was definitely not worth the long drive to the tea room, but we had a lovely walk on the coast. We will not be returning.

Lovely tea room, beautiful gardens and friendly and welcoming staff. I visited today with a minibus of ladies from a residential care home in Chichester, they all loved the cakes and all mentioned the lovely gardens, beautiful flowers and relaxed atmosphere. They all want to come back and try different cakes. 😊❤️

Me and my husband had the Clifford’s Cottage Afternoon Tea. It was amazing, best afternoon tea we have had. Lovely fresh sandwiches, scones, cakes, sausage rolls, quiche and vegetable sticks. The tea rooms are beautiful and the staff are lovely. Would highly recommend!

A lovely afternoon tea . It’s so nice to have the selection of savouries before the sweet treats . We were a party of 9 and all thoroughly enjoyed it . All food was delicious and service was fantastic , attentive and so friendly and welcoming. It is not our first time here as you can see from my previous reviews. Please do visit . You will not be disappointed .

They are back! Fabulous and beautiful tearoom, I had the coffee and walnut cake with a lovely pot of tea . Coming back next week to sit in the stunning garden to have the coronation jacket potato which looked amazing.

Nice little tea room with lots of character - we enjoyed sitting outside in the sun. Our littleun loved exploring the garden - which is oozes illilic English countryside charm - clearly a lot of love going into it. Tea, cakes & scones were tasty :)

Beautiful gardens, quite a small tea room, waitress a little searly, And food I felt was a little skimpy, I did have a quiche which was lovely. Other guests had a toasted sandwich but had hardly any filling. A little disappointing. No cake stands to be seen or to choose from either.

Had my daughters baby shower at the tea rooms. It was perfect . The afternoon tea was delicious and it was the perfect setting . The staff were friendly and helpful . Would highly recommend this for a special occasion .

Dropped by this charming place for lunch and couldn't help myself. Had to buy cream tea with a scone as well.. Didn't regret. The Welsh Rarebit, quiche and scone was all lovely. Dogfriendly and nice staff.

Family treat, taking elderly mum just out of hospital. Travelled especially from Lee on solent. Food was just OK as was service. Quiche was nice, toasted sandwich was very lacking in cheese and quite dissapointing. And it's a shame they couldn't accommodate my Mums request to have a child size portion. Mum has difficulty eating when faced with a big portion. We even said we would pay full amount for just a half jacket potatoes. The lady did offer us a box though to take half eaten portion home but at that point it wasn't at all appetising.

Beautiful place. Fabulous homemade cakes. Great value for money. 2 pots of tea, one latte and 3 pieces of delicious cake cost less than £19. Would highly recommend a visit.

The building is a lovely thatched cottage where you can eat inside or outside. The staff are very friendly and the food is nice too. It is well worth a visit .

Kitchen too small?? Went here this morning with 3 friends. One of our party wanted a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich. Only bacon sandwich is on the menu. We were told it is not possible to have a BLT because the kitchen is too small! What??! Too small for lettuce and tomato?? Really?😂 When our sausage sandwich arrived, the butter was served on the side so we all had to disassemble our sandwiches in order to put butter onto the bread. My sandwich was stone cold! I was so disappointed! It is not as if we asked for complicated food! Will not be rushing back at all! Not impressed in the least!!

2nd visit here, 1st last year. Lovely surroundings, enjoyed afternoon tea in the gardens. Staff as always were warm, jovial and attentive, food delicious as last time. See you next year.

This was our second visit to the tea room and as expected it was an absolutely amazing experience. The staff were very welcoming.The service was first class and the food was exceptional. We visited on the 22nd June.We hired the private dining room for lunch.It was a very warm day and the atmosphere in the dining room was cool.The staff were pleasant and very helpful.Light lunch was great as well. We ended the afternoon with a walk to the front and a paddle in the warm sea.A most memorable day.

We called here as we were passing and had noticed this place on a previous occasion. We sat outdoors in excellent weather, looking onto the garden. My wife chose the quiche lorraine and I chose the home-made sausage roll, with garnishes. It occurred to us both that all items of the meals were home-made, including the coleslaw. We were well looked-after by the staff, and would not hesitate to return.

Loved loved loved this place. It feels like a tiny piece of tranquility in Britain. I’ve been all over the world and these small gems are so few far between. I cannot recommend enough booking ahead a table and enjoying just a few hours of chat, coffee, tea, cake, and some amazing lunch. Please do yourself favour and book here.

My neighbour and I wanted a simple lunch and it was a fantastic find. We both had jacket potatoes with salad (1 prawn, 1 cheese) it was fresh, and nicely presented. Then the most gorgeous meringues with cream for dessert then coffee and tea. Superb value, the staff were a delight and such a lovely setting. We'll definitely be back very soon.

I love the tea rooms! As a local I love being able to pop here on a sunny day the gardens are beautiful to have a bit of lunch in! The afternoon tea is fantastic here too! It’s very picturesque! The staff are very attentive too and the owner is a very nice lady!

We enjoyed a delicious Special Afternoon Tea with family & friends to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The food & service were perfect, Joanne has been very helpful throughout. A lovely venue & gardens.

If you like Afternoon tea in pleasant surroundings. friendly but attentive Staff as well as dog friendly then come here. It’s probably the best place I’ve been to for some time. The selection was excellent and the dogs get special treats also. The only problem is it has a small parking space but it’s not the proprietor’s fault so don’t let this worry customers. Would like to visit this place again.

Took my mum for an early Mother's Day afternoon tea. Very attentive staff, prompt service, amazing food and beautiful surroundings. Only downfall was no disabled access to garden and main door but was definately worth dragging the wheelchair backwards for.

We had a lovely warm welcome, I had booked for the wrong Friday, but we were informed that we could still have the Gluten Free Afternoon Tea if we could wait. The gardens are really pretty and the staff are friendly and warm. Mum was delighted with the Gluten free option, she doesn’t often have sweet treats. The service was perfect, we hardly waited any time at all and the food was fresh and homemade and presented beautifully. We will definitely be returning for lunch and breakfast very soon. Thank you for accommodating us today and making our afternoon so special.

Such a lovely little tea room, we always sit outside (Weather dependent) and normally always have the classic afternoon tea. Everything is so tasty and lovely friendly staff who are always so helpful.

Nice setting though they were running short on scones on the day of our visit which is not expected for a tea room. Another issue - they gave us a table in the open though plenty of tables were available with parasols. We were told they were all reserved but less than 30% of those tables actually got busy by the time we finished 🙄

Ordered afternoon tea for two the day before. Booking was confirmed within a few hours. They didn't mind we were 30 minutes late. Food was brought within 15 minutes of sitting down. Selection of sandwiches. Scones and cakes. Sandwiches were nice, albeit sparce on the filling. And two pieces of bread between the filling was definitely a bit much. There should be a choice of healthier bread alternatives. Scones were delicious. Especially the cottage cream. Cakes felt a bit bland. I've definitely tasted better. Especially the raspberry one. Overall a tasty experience. The best bit was the beautiful garden. Definitely a quaint and secluded experience. They even have a private tea room out of the sun that houses up to 12 people. Highly recommended if you're a connoiseur of tea and have a sweet tooth like me.

Lovely experience, so glad we decided to book this up. The tea rooms is wonderfully quaint with it's thatched roof and beautiful flowered gardens. The food was delicious and the fact it was all homemade made it even better. We also visited just for lunch too, rather than afternoon tea. There are plenty of lunch options like sandwiches and baguettes as well as hot dishes too. The service was great and all the staff very helpful. Would definitely recommend!

We went for a belated post lockdown birthday treat. After a small mix up I was brought out beautiful fresh prawn sandwiches which were lovely, everything else was amazing......scones, cakes, prosecco, tea.....will definately be back and would highly reccomend Bracklesham Bay tea rooms. Had an exceptional Afternoon Tea here for my Fiancee's birthday. They even helped us surprise her by sneaking in her Dad to join us without her knowing. Very nice waitresses, excellent food and fantastic service.

Utterly fabulous tea room with large garden area. Super friendly and helpful staff who gave me a lovely table in the sun even though I didn't have a reservation. The scones were fresh from the oven with a generous serving of jam and clotted cream. Excellent value!

Lovely location, great food. Only downside was being spoken to abruptly because the children were playing on the grass area, if children should not be running around perhaps a sign to the contrary would be an idea and maybe say it directly at the table not across the courtyard.
