Quaint, rustic small, privately owned cafe serving really good coffee, cakes, scones and croissants. Quite narrow with more seating on squishy settees upstairs. Always like visiting here with its mix of non-matching little tables and chairs and made to feel welcome.

I love artisan coffee shops and Box Brownie really enticed me in. Loved the decor and layout and the coffee was great but I was shocked to pay £4 for a small cappuccino. Apparently decaf and oat milk are 50p extra each which I struggle to understand when so many other cafes include it for free nowadays. It's a shame as I can't justify these prices so I won't be going back.

Slow service today, waited at least 5mins before being acknowledged at the order counter. Can't knock the coffee though.

Popped in for breakfast as a spur of the moment thing and was not disappointed. The food was great, the hot drinks were good and the staff was brilliant. Would come here again!

Whenever we are back in Stratford, we make the effort to visit here. The coffee is delicious, well worth the extra time it takes to prepare. A great local business.

Box Brownie es un pequeño café sin pretensiones en la parte superior de la calle Henley con quizás media docena de mesas afuera y una docena más o menos adentro. El café es excelente, los pasteles también se veían bien. Creo que sirven comida. El personal es fantásticamente normal y no pretencioso, encantador y típicamente inglés. Muy amable y una joya escondida en el bullicioso centro de la ciudad lleno de cafés, la mayoría de los cuales tienen su propio encanto, pero si quieres un café realmente decente, recomendaría Box Brownie donde disfruté de un Americano sentado en una fresca mañana de febrero (con mi perro ) sentados afuera disfrutando del glorioso sol charlando con un encantador miembro del personal. Altamente recomendado.

Oh wow - this is such a cool place to be in Stratford upon Avon. A little independent full of great food, characters and humour. A total recommend and a favourite. Check out the arty postcard originals.

The coffee was too small for the price and was very sour and the hot chocolate was undrinkable. The actual cafe was also quite dirty and staff was cold to us.

Casual, bijou, friendly service. Need mountain climbing experience to get upstairs to use the bathroom! Great carrot cake.

I’ve been a few times and every time I’ve had very good coffee, rich and tasty, not too bitter. They do some good cakes and biscuits but don’t push them. Service has always been friendly and helpful

We had two coffees which were fine. They weren’t busy but still the counter Service was not good, very ‘take it or leave it’ very expensive two regular coffees £6.10, more expensive than fine dining! Also charged 50p extra for decaf-really??The guy serving at the tables was friendly. Would not go again. A lot more friendly, welcoming, reasonably priced places in Stratford upon Avon.

We had two days in Stratford and despite a 20 minute wait for our coffee the first time we went here, we came back a second time.The coffee was excellent, the brownie was a little hard.

Can't rate this place highly enough. All coffees are inferior in comparison to a Box Brownie coffee. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff and a good price for the best coffee around.

Nice little coffee shop that sells great coffee, cakes and other bites. Art on the wall, super friendly staff, formica table tops, what's not to like! Biodegradable cups and lids made me feel slightly less guilty. First take out cup I've bought this year. Arg. A visit to Shakespeare's birth place along the road was a nice bonus.

What a stunning little find on our latest visit to Stratford. Coffees lovingly crafted with really nice blends. We had the bacon sandwiches which were delicious!! It's a real community feeling in there with regular locals and artists who go there regularly. Great conversation, brilliant service, highly recommended!!

Coffee was not too bad, just the prices were over avarage and the roast was very specific, maybe not the best choice for everyone. More expensive than in London. 50p extra even for soya milk.

Spent a week in St-u-A and had breakfast here every day. Loved it. Best coffee in town - and staff knowledgeable about coffee (blends, origin etc.). Lovely porridge and the banana bread was out of this world. Loved sitting outside and watching the world go by.

Having just moved into the area we wanted to try various different cafes before choosing a favourite. We struck lucky with this one very early on. The coffee is delicious and the carrot cake is the best, literally the best, I've ever had and I've had my share over the years! Staff welcoming and friendly. We will go back again, and again and again......

lovely little coffee house with very attentive staff just near Shakespeare's birthplace. If your travelling in with a bus tour it's a great last stop before you get the bus home.

Great place, set in the heart of the City. Cool decor and really good coffee ( and brownies). Staff were spot on and it was nice to sit, chill out and watch the crowds.

Called in here one weekday as it had some seating outside and the sun was shining. Went inside to place our order, service was mediocre not gushing or welcoming! We ordered a couple of coffees and a couple of slices of cake £13!!!! The drinks etc were bought to us outside, cake a bit thin and dry, drinks ok, nothing special.

Not been here before, will definitely visit again! The coffee was excellent. The cakes looked yummy too. Not a huge place, interesting layout but we managed with two baby buggies and the staff were most helpful. Thank you.

This has to be my go to place for coffee and cake. The service is always good and friendly. Carrot cake is my favourite and Monsoon Estates Coffee is 10/10

Lovely place to drop by and enjoy a cup as you stroll the nostalgic streets of Stratford. I believe this is the best coffee in the village. The baked goods are equally delightful, so save room for that! Try to get a spot outside, it's nice to sit on the street and watch the world go by.

Brilliant coffee shop, can’t praise it highly enough! The variety of the blends they have here is great, and the staff super knowledgeable. Yummy selection pf treats available too. Would recommend!

We do love this place! Coffee superb. Cakes and snacks always look good. The only downside is the access to the toilet: not great for anyone with a mobility problem. On the plus side, there is now another coffee room upstairs.

Friendly staff with seating in and outdoors. Ordered a flat white and black americano. Both packed a punch! If you need a caffeine boost then look nowhere else. They also serve a selection of appealing cakes and treats. Will definitely be back here if again in the area.

Excellent coffee with a variety of blends. The staff KNOW about coffee. Sandwiches are good. Porridge is excellent. Banana bread is fantastic. Even their decaf coffee is tasteful.

I had an hour to kill on a wet Monday afternoon, and popped into the Box Brownie Cafe. I had a great sausage roll and a coffee.

If you love coffee then this is the best place to visit, especially if you also want a healthy (or less-healthy) breakfast. Highly recommended.

The coffee was great, the croissant was good. The younger male member of staff cheerful and helpful, the older male member of staff a bit miserable. The interior of the premises tries to be shabby chic, but fails on the latter point, but I would go again for the coffee.

Best coffee shop in town easily. Lovely little hide away upstairs to if it's busy downstairs. Bacon butty to die for but it's the coffee you keep coming back.

Parked nearby in Arden St and early for a meeting in Guild St (behind here) so my wife and I popped in for a coffee. Lived here for 30 years and usually avoid tourists' businesses like this. Surly-mannered chap serving, very unwelcoming. Straight forward (small) order of which he forgot half and we had to fetch ourselves. The coffee, mine was only a black Americano of which we drink gallons in Cheltenham coffee shops, was appalling and had to be left! But, hey, it's Straford-upon-Avon and we're right next to the Shakespeare's Trust Experience so there'll be another unsuspecting coach load along in a minute! Not the kind of coffee shop you would seek out and return to.

The best coffee in town. Locally roasted Monsoon Estate coffee is exceptional......the delicious cakes never disappoint either.

Visited here for a simple breakfast. The coffee was strong and had a great flavour. The food was simple and great, good sized portions of what felt like honest homemade food. A lovely place to relax and enjoy a leisurely morning.

We are new to to the area and had meaning to try this place for a while. If you are into coffee this is one of the best I have drank in. The local bacon roll is a must as well. It looks very small but there is more seating upstairs and outside on a nice day.

Quite literally the best cup of cappuccino you can buy and a chocolate brownie to die for! Plus they allow dogs and do Marmite toast!! 10/10
