Most reasonably priced Fish and Chip shop in Bourne, friendly staff serving freshly cooked food in a clean enviroment.

Great food 😋 Prices are quite expensive but on par with others I would think.

We had fish cake and chips and the sausage in batter and it was the best we have tasted in year's Also the curry sauce is very tasty and it's a large pot too. Well done to all at the shop. Will be recommending You to more people.

Best fish and chips in Bourne - lovely batter on the fish, and the chips were properly cooked, unlike other places I've been to locally. They cook their chips properly as well, so you don't get the pale, half-raw garbage I've had from other places. I have to add, now that I've tried it, that the chicken donner meat is possibly the best I've had! Had to update this as we've used this chippy since we moved to Bourne 7 years ago after trying a couple of others locally, and the review saying that they overcook their chips is absolute nonsense. Unless you're a lover of the previously mentioned half-raw garbage we've had in other chippies locally....

Good service, great food good price.

Visited Bourne Fish and Chip shop today and ordered mini fish chips and peas for the wife. The fish was not cooked properly (inedible) and the chips were over cooked. She took them back uneaten to inform them and got a blank look from the lady behind the counter. Just awful. I posted the same feedback on Facebook and think they blocked me! Also not a great response to bad feedback.

The best chips I've ever eaten hands down, crispy, fresh, hot, flavourful and not even remotely greasy. I haven't tried the fish but the chicken kebab meat I had was delicious. Service with a smile AND they serve Ben Shaw's bitter shandy in the fridge. Highly recommended.

By far the nicest piece of fish I’ve ever had from and chip shop and best fish n chips in the area by miles. Only chippy We go too in bourne Friendly services with Kam, B & Anna. Had a burger for my tea last night from the fish shop on abbey road at 5 this morning I was throwing it back up you gave me food poisoning, they are not even real burgers they are cheap economy ones, I will never eat here again I am very disappointed and disgusted i would not recommend anyone buying food from here .

Jesus this place is one of the best fish and chips, the portion size are enormous its impossible to eat all of it ..the batter is great chips are lovely the fish is huge .amazing for the money more than responsible...gets packed in there, big queues at lunch time which is not surprisingly as its next to a school.

Having recently moved to the area this is our nearest Chippie so we decided to give them a go. Some of the best fish n chips we've ever had! Crispy chips, fantastic fish in a light batter, not at all thick or oily. Reasonably priced for a good sized portion too, will definitely be back!

We came to the outdoor pool with our grandkids from Stamford. Really enjoyed the food from this brilliant place. Worth every penny. Fresh tasty food.

We have recently moved to the area, we was recommended by our neighbours to give this establishment a try. We didn’t regret it. The fish was amazing worth every penny. They were also frying new potatoes which were delicious. Will definitely be back.

Was in Bourne on a visit to Delaine on Saturday and used Bourne Fish 'n' Chips as a last resort. Coming from Yorkshire and having an aversion to food cooked in oil I wasn't expecting much. Think my view started to change when I saw that the mushy peas were of the right consistency & colour. Then the fish was ready, straight out of the fryer and drained of surplus oil with care. Took my tray and sat in the park opposite Abbey Rd. to dine. To my utter amazement the fish was very fresh with good batter, so very scoffable and the peas tasted as good as the first visual impression. Chips were very OK too. So top marks, 11 out of 10.

George’s is great, it’s a Bourne institution almost....... but don’t make it your only chippy, try Bourne FnC. The portions are the same and sometimes bigger, everything is cooked freshly, the staff (certainly the owners) are actually happier. Mainly we prefer it as it seems to always taste better, all of it. The chips, the extras, the fish is absolutely better, and thick! It’s as good as the fish from Linfords at Deeping (locals will know). Love it from here and no longer go anywhere else.

Simply the best fish &chips in Bourne

Had a large portion of chips tonight (we live a stones throw away) they were cold and had remnants of batter and fish mixed in.

I was quite disappointed on my 4th visit to Bourne fish and chip chop. Has I ordered what I wanted I noticed the place didn't look very clean there was dirty chip forks left on the floor (it had just opened obviously not cleaned the nightbefore) and the counter looked grubby and dirty. Then I noticed that the kabab meat and chicken was from the night before and looked dried out. I ordered my fish and chips and to my suprise they was over done grubby and darkest brown. Then I asked for a bit of mayo on my meal. Which came out watery and a bit rank looking. I did ask why does it look like that there words that how it is Been a few other occasions and it's never looked like that. Then they just gave a sachet of mayo. Tried to attempt to eat the food and the fork snapped due to the chips being over cooked. Also I don't really appreciate someone coughing and sneezing over the cooked food and counters. Hands wasn't washed after coughing in them. And also now I have an extremely bad stomach. Very disappointed this time

Tried these for the first time just before Christmas having always previously gone to George’s and they were very nice. Hubby prefers the chips at George’s but I much prefer the fish from here. I know they cook to order and parking isn’t quite as easy but definitely worth a try. Think we might have to compromise and alternate between the two!
