They really know how to do pre-theatre well. Food is nicely done, comes quickly, attentive service throughout, great value. Very accommodating to our access requirements (there are tables on the ground floor though the toilets are in the basement reached only by stairs, and they have a ramp to get over the step at the entrance).

A lovely place. Having been really disappointed by another restaurant (who suggested we sit outside at a table under heat lamps after we'd booked a table indoors) this homely "Cafe Rouge" style brasserie immediately showed us to an available table in their spacious restaurant. Portions a little on the small side, but very tasty and happy to adapt their menu to suit your individual preferences. Great staffing & good experience throughout.

You pay the price of being so near Covent Garden and in Theatreland, obviously, but still we expected better for this price. The salmon was amazing, but the rissoto was really, really bland and the baked brie tasted of cheap brie and was way too fatty. Additionally, the glassware was stained and not properly cleaned, though that did add to the wonderful atmosphere.

Very close to the Duchess Theatre where we were seeing a show. Nice evening so we opted for a table outside. We had the pre- theatre menu which was great value and drinks- beer and rosé. We both opted for the smoked salmon starter and the sea bass. We shared a dessert- a lovely baked cheesecake. Our waiter was great and looked after us well.

We were meeting up with family who had arrived from Dublin. We booked up in advance a table for four adults on Thursday 28 March at 18:00. When we booked up we also requested the 50% food order they advertise if you have a minimum of two courses. This absolutely great value and all on the ala carte menu is included except the Lobster Thermador and Steaks which is understandable. With the 50% off food we saved £59:44 which is great value. Our total bill was £152:00 which included a 12.5% discretionary service charge of £23:49. Drinks we had 1x Bottle of Vigneron White Wine at £24:95 and 1x Bottle of Vigneron Red Wine at £24:95. We also had 2x 330ml Peroni at £11:50. Our Starters were all superb with:- Chicken Liver Parfait £8:95. Baked Brie £8:75. Prawn & Avocado Cocktail £9:95. Bread Tapenade £3:95. Our Mains were also just amazing:- Bouillabaisse £19:95. Seafood Linguine £19:95. 2x Chicken Wrapped in Bacon/Roquefort £18:95 each. To finish up two of us managed to have a dessert which again were very good:- Ice Cream/Sorbet £5:95. Apple Crumble with Cinnamon Ice Cream £7:45. We also had one flat white coffee £3:75. We would all find it very hard to find one negative with this place and it is certainly worth a visit. Booking in advance is a real must as it was very busy when we arrived. We had a terrific waiter Ronaldo S who even gave us all a free shot of tequila at the end of the evening. Thank you very much for a brilliant evening we will be back again when next up in London.

Found this restaurant on trip advisor when looking for somewhere to have early lunch with my mum to end our weekend. We were not disappointed, the food selection was excellent, from the fixed price menu to the a la carte menu. We ate from the a la carte but could see the food that others were ordering and there were a few champagne afternoon teas and other fixed price menu food being served. The food we had was great and really food value for money. We had the Brie in filo pastry, then the halibut, then apple crumble and a chocolate tart, everything was delicious. The service was impeccable.

Picked this restaurant because it looked like the perfect venue for a date night and didn’t disappoint. Art deco style, make you feel like you’re actually in a Parisian Brasserie. Low level lighting makes it a very romantic setting. The food was absolutely Devine. Very tasty and the restaurant is not tight on the portions. Certainly great value for money. Drinks are reasonably priced as well. To accompany dessert we had an Espresso Martini and Chocolate Orange Fudge (the winner). Delicious and could smell the orange with every sip. Afternoon Tea. It took 40 mins before we were served a pot of tea, which was half full and lukewarm. We asked for a full pot of hot tea, they then served a full pot of tea (for two people) with only one tea bag, so it was very weak. They apologised and brought a decent pot of tea. At the 60 minute point we were discussing whether we should leave. Shortly after we received the scones and small cakes, but had to wait a further 5 minutes for the sandwiches, jam and cream. The sandwiches were small triangles on ordinary cheap bread. The cream portion was tiny - enough for 1 scone, we were given 4 scones so had to ask for more cream. The jam was more like runny syrup. The scones were all plain unlike the advertised fruit and plain. The other cakes were fine but tiny. This was our 2nd afternoon tea here. We enjoyed our 1st visit but after our 2nd experience we will not be returning.

Just had a pleasant meal here but we were told that we only had the table until 3. OO pm which was not advised on booking. At 2. 30 we were reminded again we only had the table until 3.00 . Then again at 2 50 we were told again although we had already paid the bill. This rude attitude spoilt the whole occasion!!!

Sat down at 7pm and at 8.30 we had to ask where our food was. The waiter was very apologetic but the chap in a suit who seemed to be a manager didn’t even bother to come to apologise for the delay. A small glass...

Had an early dinner after our matinee and were able to avail of the set menu. £17.95 for 2 courses. Fabulous value for money for 2 delicious courses, fantastic service and great location right in Covent Garden

My prawn cocktail looked like a collection of bits from other people’s plates. My steak frites was awful. Cold chips. Chewy and gristly meat. Overpriced, even for that area. Avoid.

Ticked all the right boxes. We had the theatre menu, which has a good choice. The celeriac soup was particularly good. Lovely staff too.

Lots of good points to write about at this resteraunt but unfortunately, having visited previously,on this particular occassion the quality of the meat in the Beefbourgineon was well below standard--tough with gristle and probably not the resteraunts fault but perhaps the butcher who supplies them-everything else...
