Went with a friend for lunch today and managed to get a table...always busy there, which speaks for itself. We both had lasagne. Really, really good.

Such a beautiful place! The breakfast is delicious, perfect eggs & fresh tomatoes and avocado. My kids loved the bubble waffle & I simply cannot have ice cream from anywhere else now.. it’s honestly like nothing you’ve ever had before! THE BEST! (Unless of course you’ve been to Italy) a MUST VISIT if you’re in Kent.

We visited this restaurant yesterday with our friends at short notice, so didn’t know if there would be space available for four people. The staff were very accommodating and re arranged the tables so that we able to sit together. We all enjoyed a delicious pasta meal with a recommended bottle of red wine. Look forward to returning soon. Would definitely recommend this place to eat at lunch time, you will certainly be made very welcome.

Good food - the pizza was thin and crispy, and came delicious. Service was a bit curt and unwelcoming. The waiter was petting people's dogs, which I don't think is hygienic when serving food.

3 years ago I left this Italian cafe a 5 star review and thought that it was time to update it. This is still one of the best places to eat in Tenterden together with their sister restaurant Montalbano. The staff are absolutely amazing, so attentive and helpful. The manager, Zsolt is extraordinary in his ability to make everyone feel welcome and special and manages the staff impeccably. Be prepared though, he has the driest humour and does make the experience of dining fun! Thanks also to Finley and Cissy who also go above and beyond to ensure you have a great time. One other thing! They serve the best coffee and cake too!

It was OK the service wasn't brilliant, the food was OK but plenty of other places to eat in town so we won't go back

A lovely little botega just off the Tenterden High Street. we enjoy sitting outside when the weather is suitable and there are cosy tables inside too. we are regular visitors for coffee cakes or a delicious breakfast or lunch. There is also a kiosk for superb ice-cream. Most of all there is always a friendly welcome from the attentive staff

Great food at really reasonable prices ...they should make it bigger.

Having visited this cafe when it first opened and really loved the food and the ambiance. Today, the welcome was a little less warm although there seemed to be just one man serving the tables, and we were outside. Ordered two coffees and a piece of cake which were lovely! Tried to get the waiter’s attention to pay and in the end looked at the prices on the menu and managed to get the cash together thinking this would be easier. It came to £10.10 but when we handed it to him he informed us that the prices had increased and it was now £10.85! We said we wanted to pay the price on the menu and to be fair he said ok. Be warned though that the prices on the menu may not be the price you are charged - check your bill!

Very friendly attentive service. Food poor in my opinion - the focaccia sandwich was all bread and didn’t enjoy it at all. Pizza looked good although didn’t have it. Afraid I would not return.

Visited here today to collect some sandwiches for a picnic lunch. We had the best sandwiches ever, the club one was amazing, still warm bread, moist chicken, beautiful bacon and warm cheese. The Coto one can be recommended by my husband too. Well worth a visit for a coffee while we waited for our sandwiches to be made fresh. Quality ingredients and well worth the price.

Wonderful atmosphere. Great menu selection. Ice Cream, Sorbet and Cakes to die for. Ever increasing selection of Gluten free, Vegan dishes and products. Very friendly and happy staff. One of my favourite and regular go-to-Caffe.

Normally ww just have a coffee or hot chocolate when we are in Tenterden as they serve the best coffee in town, but on this visit we stayed for lunch and had an excellent pizza followed by some of their home made gelato which was yummie.

We have been going here for about 2 years now and love their menu and the staff. Everything is good and portions are good. The staff are friendly and do a great job and have a great rapport with their clients. We would certainly receive to others be an individual or group and pricing is just right!

Dropped into Bottega Montalbano Gelato for a quick coffee whilst I was waiting for my car to be washed at Waves car Wash near Tesco's superstore. Service was very quick and the proprietor was a lovely guy, every surface was wiped down thoroughly after each customer left. I didn't have anything to eat, however, my mother who was with me said how nice the food is. The menu is quite extensive with a great range of snacks and main meals, it only received four stars as I thought it was just a bit expensive but hey it is in Tenterden and nothing is cheap there.

Nice place, unwelcoming owner. Food, drink, atmosphere really nice. The serving staff were pleasant and professional. Shame about the owner who was quite dismissive and unsociable towards us - although not with other clients we noticed. Don’t know what we did to upset him!

My partner and I went there this morning for breakfast. The young lady who served us was very understanding with my partner he was having trouble deciding on what to eat. He is undergoing chemo so his appetite is alover the place. But the young lady helped him with his choice and ate it all. The staff are very accodating frendly and i would recommend people to go there fir a snack or lunch you wont be disappointed.

I've been here 10 times since Feb. Pizza and sandwiches great, coffee great, cake great, gelato great. Its my favourite spot in town, I wish I could come for coffee here everyday!

Cappuccino was weak on our last visit so asked for an extra shot on this visit, was charged 40p extra. Asked for skimmed milk but was given full cream milk. When I asked the young girl about this she just said No it wasn’t full cream. Not quite sure why the tea bag comes in the cup and a large teapot of water to pour over then no where to put the used teabag… Am I missing something? Both my husband and I had rolls. A sausage and egg and myself avocado, cream cheese and chilli flakes. Alas no chill flakes in the mixture, once again I mentioned this to the cheerful young girl I was met with “ oh dear “ That was the end of that conversation. As I was unable to drink my tea as full cream residue was floating on the top, I suggested that perhaps she remove it from the bill. However she did offer another pot but this was at the end of our brunch. Sadly we will not be visiting again as we feel it is not value for money. Friendly staff, but we feel they need a little more training on how to deal comments or complaints

We stopped off here for ice creams on Mother's Day and we weren't disappointed... Excellent ice cream / highly recommended...

Such a lovely place, with delicious food and coffee and tasty gelato. I've been many times and the staff are so lovely and welcoming! Sometimes I just pop in if I need to feed the baby and have a quick coffee and I've also tried many of the food items on the menu! All lovely! My daughter also loves it when we swing by for a takeaway gelato. The tricky thing is what flavour to choose! Well done guys! Xx

Very cosy cafe serving great Caffe Vergnano coffee. Had A couple of espresso’s, both perfectly served. Panino Parma nice and also the Sundae. Will definitely pop in again when about town.

Excellent fresh food (panini bread baked on premises) and lovely friendly yet efficient service. Good value. The cherry ice cream was the best ice cream I’ve had all year. Will definitely be coming back again.

A lovely place to spend a lunch or evening over summer. If you have the time ,the Italian cuisine Is divine and is only rivalled by the fantastic service. Our charismatic waiter (Adriano) was attentive and a joy to talk to. Everything was on time...

Popped in this afternoon for 'coffee and cake' on a visit to Tenterden. We were given a really warm welcome, excellent coffee and a homemade tiramisu to die for! We will be back.
