Boscastle Bakery in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Brilliant - and possible to get a traditional pasty that was gluten free, dairy free and soy free, which was a rare delight! All delicious, and apx. £4 per pasty. There was also a gluten free cheese and onion pasty. For the gluten free pasty, you have to go in and ask for it, and then return in 40 minutes when it is then cooked and ready, as they are cooked to order. We were able to read through the ingredients which was fab for checking for allergens.

Had to get some Cornish pasties during our visit to Cornwall. Partner got a minted lamb pasty and I a traditional one. Both were amazing - hot and tasty. Desserts were lovely too. Really recommend.

When is a steak pasty not a steak pasty? ..... when it doesn't have any steak in it! Paid £5 for a large steak pasty. Couldn't find any steak in it at all, certainly no chunks of meat, a tiny bit of mince mixed in maybe. Such a shame.

Lovely helpful staff and good range of products. Pasties we tried (steak and stilton and traditional steak) were very tasty and we bought some to bring back home with us. Haven't been to Boscastle for a few years so we were very pleased to see the bakery is still here. Keep up the good work!

Delicious pasties and a truly exceptional Chelsea bun. Short walk down to the harbour for a fabulous viewpoint to go with the excellent baked goods!

Amazing pasties! We visit Cornwall a few times a year and we make sure to always pop in for some. The vegetable ones are amazing, full chunks of broccoli in. The steak and Stilton ones are also amazing!

Absolutely delicious gluten free pasty! Waited 15 mins for it to be heated as they are done to order, but it was well worth the wait. Clear labelling and really reasonable prices.

Visited twice while staying in Bostcastle. Superb pasties, tasteful and the price was reasonable too, cheaper than other shops. Friendly service.Recommended!

Scone with jam and cream box was very cheap and really tasty, we also had caramel shortcakes which were amazing too and tasted very homemade which is even better. Glad we visited whilst in boscastle :)

Not visited yet but will be today and going to try a pasty. As a young child I had a dream to try every pasty in Cornwall and Devon and rate them in my pasty diary. I forgot this dream and have only just remembered it so now at the age of 53 I will start my quest. I haven’t a diary so will have to make do and mend, my son suggested a pie chart but, I can’t draw. Had 3 pasties this week all very good except the one yesterday it gave me gip and heartburn plus lots of walking yesterday.

Wow. Just wow. Wow, wow, wow. Fantastic selection of sweets treats. I ordered a Rocky Road. Perfect crunch-squidge balance. Very chocolatey. Others in my party ordered a ring doughnut (beautifully glazed with bonus cream-filling), the oversized cherry bakewell (flavour and quantity did not disappoint), and the Chelsea bun (my wife seemed to enjoy it but hasn’t spoken to me following an ill-judged comment at the Witchcraft museum - mea culpa - so can’t fully review).

My initial steak pasty purchase was a trial - if I liked it, I would return for a box of 12 to take home. It was so good, I quickly retraced my steps for my bulk purchase before they could sell out. The friendly lady behind the counter was genuinely pleased to see us enthusiastically return.

The steak pasty didn't live up to the hype. I was looking forward to trying one of their award winning pasties. I found the pastry very stodgy. There was plenty of filling including meat but I found it bland. My son had a cheese and onion pasty and enjoyed his. I wish I had his!

Friendly people and tasty bakery food. I get my lunch here before walking the coastal path and taking photos. Nice to take a break with a delicious pasty from this place.

Stop at the award winning bakery for a cornish pasty, left feeling very disappointed, pastry was quite thick and stodgy. With no taste, the filling whilst plenty lacked the meat. And also needed a good bit of seasoning. Price wise excellent and the service from the staff was a credit to all.

We went in for ‘award winning pasties’ and I was very disappointed, the one from our local bakery are much better. Disappointed as I love a traditional Cornish pasty but they weren’t flaky or crispy and were also bland with VERY LITTLE MEAT. The sweet treats were also bland, very disappointed as we were very excited to tuck into lunch after a long walk.

What an experience! Would definitely recommend. We had the time of our life and it is a place I totally connect with!

Lovely staff and nice pasties. However the cake selection is very poor and like something from a boring railway cafe - no good homemade rolls/ pastries/ cake assortments - just naff tray bake type stuff. I live in the village and can see massive potential here. Maybe take a leaf out of the Chough Bakery in Padstow or The two Bakeries in Fowey - the selections found here (plus excellent breads and rolls) make them a go-to destination for tourists and locals - UP YOUR GAME!!!

Read the reviews and was not disappointed. The tastiest pasty in the area, I had a bacon, cheese and leek which was delicious. Also recommend the strawberry and raspberry cake slice. A must visit stop!

We ordered three veggie pasties which were amazing. The Cornish cream & jam scones & white chocolate carmel slice was very tasty and very reasonably priced. The staff were really friendly & well worth a visit

These are THE best pasties in Cornwall, period. I only wish they did deliveries to the Midlands. I do buy from other Cornish companies who send them frozen which are OK, but these are next level.

We were very pleasantly surprised to find this excellent bakery! The pasties are the best we have tasted, and their Saffron Cake is wonderful. Their prices are very good and six adults were able to get enough food to fill us up for just over £30. Very good value, and lovely food. Thoroughly recommended!!

Called in to buy ready made sandwiches and hot pasty to take away. Reasonably priced, great selection of choices on offer and very tasty. Covid measures clearly in place. Would recommend.

It was sunny day in Boscastle and Mrs Moose fancied a light lunch - something with little fuss. The Boscastle bakery looked inviting, so we went for the sausage bap takeaway. It was fresh, tasty and just what we wanted.

Not the most amazing pasty we had in Cornwall, but pretty solid. Was well seasoned and pastry was nice. Unfortunately the steak and stilton was a bit lacking in any stilton, but we ate them on our picnic and kept us going for our walk.

Visited the other day. The bakery is very COVID safe. Ordered 2 vegan sausage rolls. The BEST ones we have ever had!

Superb bakery, the pasties we had were hot, delicious and right up there with the best have tasted. The range of quality cakes was great, plus sandwiches, hot baps, drinks and cream teas available too. The staff were friendly, well worth a visit and recommended!

You cannot go to Cornwall and not have a cornish pasty.... I'm so pleased that we decided to go here. The pasties were fresh, piping hot and delicious. They were so good that we made a slight detour the next day so we could have another one although this time I had a lamb and mint pasty which was just as delicious. Definitely make time to go to Boscastle and have one.

Wow, super delicious! On holiday so had to have a pasty. I usually find them stodgy, thick pastry and minimal filling.... NOT THESE.... thin pastry, bursting with tasty filling and very hot too. HIGHLY recommend.

Popped into here today to buy some pasties and the tall lady behind the counter was very rude, no smiles or greetings. She bagged up the pasties and just threw them on the counter next to the till. We just smiled and thanked her but not even a smile or a goodbye back.

I came here (I believe it was the same place) in 2012 and as a Pasty connoisseur, was happy to give their pasties five Gold Stars. Recognising that a Pasty eaten on the Cornish coast path sat overlooking the harbour with a cold Cornish IPA is always likely to be attributed as the best Pasty in the world, I was interested to see if they still lived up to my memories of 7 years earlier.

Visited on way to Tintagel, very rainy day. So glad we stopped here. Spoilt for choice with the cake selection, staff friendly and cakes very reasonably priced. Between us we had millionaires shortbread, angel cake and gingerbread man. 3 very happy customers! If we ever drive through again we will definitely stop!

We had lunch here. Service was good and it was prompt and friendly. The food was fine. When you are serving snacks and light lunches you have to be able to do the simple things well because of the competition and this is exactly what this cafe did.

Situated in the heart of the village. A grezt vzriety of food at vey reasonable prices. I bought the B&E; Bap for £2.30 for brunch and it was so good i came back for a Jumbo Pasty for £3.50. Excellent good at a good price!

The pasties we had in May were the best We have ever had. The Men of old would be so proud to eat here. Very reasonably priced and full of Yumm. Well its that good We are going back again tomorrow for some more, a small journey of 230 miles for the best Cornish Pasties......Why Not.

Always make sure we stop here when we are in Boscastle, which is one of our most loved places. Pasties are top notch and good value for money, as are the cakes we have tested! Highly recommend.

We’ve been visiting Boscastle for years and we always make sure we have at least two visits to the Boscastle bakery. Their Cornish pasties are excellent quality. You can’t help but indulge in their cakes either.

Love the traditional Cornish Pasties from here, they are by far my favourite .The Tiffin is to die for as well. Fab bakery to buy a bacon roll to fuel up for exploring Boscastle then stock up on Pasties to take home 😀

The traditional Cornish pasties from Boscastle bakery are my favourite. They have the right amount of meat and vegetables. I've eaten many Cornish pasties as I'm originally from Cornwall but Boscastle bakery pasties never fail. Always get some to take home. The Tiffin is lovely too. I always look forward to visiting Boscastle and the bakery

We went to Boscastle on a day out and it was blissful 🌞. Stopping for lunch at the bakery and we were amazed as how good the pastries were here and voiced this to the staff there. They pointed past my head to all the baking awards they have behind me, I was embarrassed 😳

Our first stop as we arrived in Cornwall, just in time for a late lunch. And having read that the pasties here are award winning, I didn't need much convincing to try one! Although they offer a very tasty sounding selection of fillings, it had to be traditional and it was excellent.

Great pasties including gluten free of you can give them half an hours notice. Gluten free avocado cake actually beautiful too despite how it sounds. Wagon wheels as big as your head! Worth stopping in if you’re in the area.

Decent bakery food, very friendly staff and reasonably prices. Very central location so an easy option for a snack.

I recently spent a weekend in Boscastle, and sampled the delights of this bakery before entering the witch's museum. I have eaten many different types of pasty over the years, however their Cornish pasty is without doubt the best I have tasted.

What amazing pasty’s, this is the first place we stop at when we arrive in Cornwall. The traditional is excellent as is the Lamb and mint.

Great bakery. We didn't buy any bread but it looked lovely. Great selection of cakes including a small selection of gluten free if you need that. Nothing like the supermarket packaged variety. When we called into this obviously popular bakery they were busy but the staff were polite and helpful. If you visit Boscastle call in and choose something yummy, we did.

Wow! The pasties here are amazing! We will definitely be driving here again (30 mins), just for the pasty.
