The food was absolutely awful. Nachos were cold and soggy and they didn't even attempt to wrap my burrito properly. I spilled out everywhere after unwrapping and it was cold. Absolutely inedible

We had an unexpectedly amazing visit to Bonnie Burrito. We were concerned that since we had a large order we would be a nuisance but we were met with open arms and amazing service. They even gave one of our group the chance to make one of the burritos. At first we tried to order on the website but it came out with an error when trying to make payment - but we were somewhat glad of this because we wouldn't have had such a great experience otherwise.

Overall nice experience. Thought it would be interesting to try out Scotlands version of a common food where I'm from. Service was good and quick. There is some dine-in space but it's very small.

Burrito like burrito was good. :) However the service wasn't the best, they charged us £8 for plain fries and made them way too salty. Also they didn't know how to refund money. Business owner should not leave two new staff on one shift.

The best burrito this side of Edinburgh

For delivery isn't too great... smaller portions compared to getting the same item in person and base price is more expensive + delivery and service fees It's a great place to go and order take out or dine in but bad for delivery

Used to be my favourite takeout in Edinburgh before they went absolutely crazy with the prices. They say it’s because of cost increases but not every business in Edinburgh has hiked things up to this extent!

This is by far the best burrito in town. Just sad they never re opened the west branch in gorgie.

I used to eat here regularly but stopped when I was being ridiculously charged £20 for a burrito with barely any filling for what you pay, each visit the food weighed lighter and the price was going up and things have only gotten worse having been told by staff I'd have to pay £5 more for a bigger size and I can't order a combo of meats.. I was given a poor amount of rice and although having ordered garlic mayo the server had given me a spicy alternative I did not ask for. Utterly disappointed by the lack of care staff show towards what they do and even more so when attempts to email the business with issues such as being overcharged as I have been in the past get ignored

We've eaten from here a few times but last time we were in we ordered from the App and went to collect the Burritos instore on my way home. I got home to find half the fillings from my burrito was missing, no salsa, no guac, no cheese, no suace etc. I contacted support and they agreed it was unacceptable but then did nothing. Theyve refused to refund or respond any further. It's not a cheap option so I expect to get what I order.

I really loved everything about it. But the shop is very small for dine-in options. I ate the medium sized bonnie burrito (Irn-Bru pulled pork) for £9.50. When you compare this establishment with other Mexican fast food shops, then I can surely confirm that it is the best burrito that you will have in Edinburgh, in all aspects.

We used Nick and his staff at Bonnie Burrito food truck for our wedding. They brought the truck to Falside Mill, St Andrews. The food was a hit, everyone was raving about it. Nick put up some cool photos of us too and really pulled out all the stops. The burritos were full and there was all the usual goodness in there too! Would definitely recommend for great service, and more importantly great food. Cheers!

The price hikes are absolutely disgusting. £20 now for a large veggie burrito, which is essentially just beans and veg, is just insane and unjustified! I don’t understand why they want to do this to their customers. We used to order from here all the time, but now simply can’t afford to.

Placed an order for delivery on a Saturday evening, through Foodstuff, 3 hours before they closed. An hour after ordering they cancelled our order without any explanation. On top of the poor service they’re incredibly over priced, particularly compared to other independent food businesses in Edinburgh. Will not be ordering again.

Basic mexican food place for a quick grab. The main idea is that you create your own burrito, but they have a couple of other options such as nachos. The staff is friendly and efficient. They have no bathroom and there is only a small table to sit at. They are mainly designed for take out

Excellent burritos, high quality ingredients and overall very tasty food! However the recent increase in prices has been too steep... I used to order a Large burrito for around £9, which was a great deal. Now a Regular burrito costs £9.95. Also, they have removed the Large burrito from the menu, leaving only the supersize. The issue is that a Regular burrito is too small for me, and I don't feel full after eating one...the old large size was perfect for me, but now I need to order a supersize to get around the same amount of food as I had with the old large size. Now if we compare the prices, the old large size used to be £9, while the current supersize is just below £15. That is over a 50% markup for the same amount of food! I know that the cost of living crisis has affected prices everywhere, but 50% is way too much! I understand that prices had to increase, but the fact that you changed the burrito size selection at the same time as you increased your prices has made the overall cost per amount of food received very high. As there is no longer a size between regular and supersize I feel like buying a regular size is not worth it because it's too small, while buying a supersize is way too expensive. I really hope that something changes soon... I really liked your burritos - they are delicious, but I can't afford them anymore as I'm forced to go supersize if I actually want to get a decent amount of food, as you deleted the large size...

Liking the concept using Scottish ingredient for tex-mex dishes, mainly burritos and irn-bru pulled pork. Gave them great ideas that I do at home such as haggis chile rellenos. Had a haggis burrito with mango and habanero salsa. Was good. There's a wee table you can sit down at. Small place. Bit of a struggle when a few people.

The food quality and atmosphere for what it is for such a small venue are good. The service itself was a little dispassionate, the wee lass serving me reminded me of the Blockbusters cashier from Scott Pilgrim vs The World: dead inside and a bit sick fed up of working hospitality. Fair enough, but as a fellow hospitality worker at least pretend when the customer is there and you're chatting to them. My issue really is the exorbitant pricing for the food and how much they've downsized the portion sizes. There new medium burrito is there old small burrito. You'll be paying over £10 for a large burrito which isn't that big now compared to Bar Burritos for a similar price range. I know there is a cost of living crisis, and it will be to do with the increase in electricity and gas prices, but the majority of the ingredients are cheaply acquired from a supermarket. For a similar price you may as well go get an Indian, Chinese, Japanese or Korean dish and sit in, that's how much you're paying. Bonnie Burrito before this was a brilliant place that was affordable, even during the pandemic. This is just disappointing in general. Honestly, spend your money elsewhere. Sometimes they have little outdoor tuck shops near the Blood Centre that are the old prices and portion sizes so I guess it you really need a burrito go get them there.

Burritos are really good. It’s a bit too pricy at £10 for a burrito. it’s not good value for money so probably only a once in a while treat. They charge £15 for the same burrito on ubereats so definitely consider going in instead of delivery.

Ordered a mixed pepper burrito which was shown as vegan (ve) on the menu. When it arrived it contained cheese. Not sure they really understood the issue.

IRN BRU pulled pork burrito was really great. A bit pricy but the portion is quite big. Rice, beans, lettuce, sweet corn, avocado, sour cream, cheddar cheese,… many ingredients

First time I booked for collection, I placed an order through their website. Arrived at the Clerk St branch - no record of the order. Eventually found it but had to wait. Second time I booked for collection, again through their website. Paid and received text confirmation with pick up time. Arrived a t the Clerk St branch to find it closed. Nobody answering the phone at either branch. Hugely frustrating, left feeling scammed.

Used to use this place quite a lot, probably one of the best Burritos you'll ever have. But these days unless your rich AF £14 for a standard burrito. snack size £8. They use to have super size which is off the menu, My guess because they couldn't actually price it as it would have been mental! Kinda gutting never to be eating here again, but at those prices not a chance!

I used to have a bonnie burrito on a regular occasion. Used to think it was very good value for money. The new price hike is ridiculous, £15 for a large burrito. Food was good but wouldn’t pay for that again.

I bought the Meal Deal for 1 (Chicken Burrito + Small Nachos, costing £15.30) a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. This past weekend I decided to order the same again but was shocked to find that the cost had risen to £22.95, a 50% price increase. Suffice to say, I ordered my food elsewhere.

Loved it but now jacked up prices online to over £20 for a supersize burrito with vegan chicken. Then you turn up in person and it's almost half the price. No idea why

I've been frequenting Bonnie Burrito on Newington a lot in the past, as it was very close to where I used to live while working in Edinburgh. I have to say that the excellent quality on the food has not changed at all after 3 years that I have not had it. However, the prices and most importantly the sizes of the burritos has changed drastically. I spent twice what I would have in the past, for something that was a lot smaller to what is expect. In the shop's credit, they now have a tangible size chart next to the entrance, so that customers can see what to expect out of the different sizes that are offered. It was also clear that the large burrito I used to order is now termed extra large, and the old extra large option is no longer available. Fair enough, I fully accept inflation and the time that passed since my last visit, but when compared to other restaurants I used to frequent at the time I'd say the price increase is exponential here for what is offered. Shame, it's one thing to adjust prices, but to shrink portions down AND drive the price up to this level is not something I've experienced anywhere else in my recent trip back to Edinburgh. The burritos are still good, fresh and well balanced in terms of taste, but the circumstances I described above are putting me off. As mentioned above, I've had the extra large burrito, with the pulled pork and fajita peppers combo. Lovely combination, only the price felt like a punch on the teeth this time.

I have been using Bonnie Burrito for office catering for over 6 months now. The food is amazing: tastes great, it’s cooked fresh and arrives hot. Everyone can customise their meal and burritos come labelled with people’s names. Nick is quick to reply and the communication has always been brilliant. I know I can always depend on Bonnie Burrito for great food and ease of organising. Highly recommend!

One of my family’s favourite takeaways! We first had it from the stand outside the Lauriston Buildings, mostly out of convenience, and now we are big fans and loyal customers. Whilst perhaps not the most authentic experience, Bonnie Burrito is an Edinburgh gem.

I loved working with Nick and his staff at the Bonnie Burrito. I had a small catering event and they brought their truck to a private garden party. The food was a hit -- they were aware it was a special birthday and went above and beyond to make it special. The burritos were fantastically full and they brought along fabulous staff to help make the day great. Would definitely recommend for great service, innovative ideas, and importantly great food. And we planned it all from Canada! Muchas gracias

Had large vege nachos. This was ave. The serving size was small for 7.20£ . Didn’t take nay meat as tht was an extra 1.2£. Nothing special

We had the Bonnie Burrito Van for our wedding in July 2022, they came to our wedding venue. They were fantastic, the food was excellent, with a great range of choices and large portions too. A great range of fillings and toppings , so you could create what ever you wanted. Good vegetarion, options and catered for gluten issues. The staff on the day were really friendly, fun and efficient . Before hand everything was very relaxed and great fun. They put pictures up of us and made it a very special event.

We got burritos, both vegetarian and meaty, and they were GOOD. The young man working there gave us great recommendation, and was very friendly. The portion sizes were generous. We recommend this place to anyone close by.

Owner has them not follow the rules regarding toppings as presented on menu. It’s a rip off. Would not go again. Edit for owner's follow-up: This was the Clerk and Preston location. The large nachos are supposed to include whichever toppings you would like, with a surcharge for meat. I was not allowed to order other toppings. When I asked the staff about this, they told me the owner required them to do this, even thought it contradicted the menu. I don't blame the staff at all, just a dishonest policy.

Before I unwrapped her I was SAD and LONELY but BONNIE filled the HOLE in my HEART and TUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the many varieties of MAYONNAISE! My friend DROPPED his BONNIE BURRITO on the FLOOR but Bonnie did NOT BREAK! She stayed together LIKE A CHAMP! THIS EXPERIENCE EVEN HELPED him BOND WITH THE ARTISTRY BONNIE HAS CRAFTED. He enjoyed the burrito more than EVER BEFORE! BONNIE BURRITO reminds me that there is always WARMTH and LOVE to experience as long as you remain RESILIENT! I'm not usually a big fan of burritos (more of a Fajita person) but was recently at a private party where they hired these bonnie folks to give them out free so I thought what the heck, might as well have one. OH. MY. WORD. I absolutely AM a burrito fan, just clearly been eating the wrong ones up until now . I don't know what they put in em but these burritos are IN.SANE - I 'm talking of the chart delicious here. At the end of the night they were kind enough to package up the leftovers into a tasty snack bowl (thank you so much) but someone nicked it off my table 5 minutes before close - I actually checked the bins (it was well wrapped and yes it IS that good) to ensure it hadn't been chucked by mistake but alas, it was gone to another belly :-( On the plus side though, I just found out the company I work for is hiring them tomorrow for a pop up cafe - I normally work from home so it's like "is it worth a 2 hour round trip to the office for a free burrito?" DAMN RIGHT IT IS!!! See you tomorrow you sensational stars of street sustenance!!!

Friendly staff explained the different options and I ordered a regular burrito with fajita peppers. It was really good, more than enough for me. I would recommend using a fork to mix all the ingredients as you are eating.

Good student style eats. Reasonable price for a burrito, my only criticism would be the variety of fillings, but overall one of the better burritos in Edinburgh. Staff also very friendly

I Don't know how to reply to your response but it was today at 12 o'clockish, I've never tried your food and I bet its great but I'm not waiting in a queue to be ignored... honestly they had no enthusiasm at all. They are the people representing your business and each customer should be treated the same and at least get the attention they deserve

Burrito was OK, but the nachos were missing toppings, the wrong size, and had basically degenerated into an inedible sludge by the time it arrived. Really poor.

Yeah you don’t do deliveries on Just eat now & when you call the shop the girl says just eat don’t do deliveries in Edinburgh now 😂🤦‍♂️ They do, so you ask how to get a delivery from yourselves? She doesn’t seem to know, your website doesn’t do deliveries, she said Uber eats do, when it’s not at that time & when it is it’s £4+ for a delivery & you put £1.10 service charge on top of that? So for a large steak burrito it comes in over £16 delivered? Shocking, Deliveroo when u go on there they always say that all your burritos are unavailable? Don’t get me wrong the burritos are amazing but sort out your deliveries.

They claim to close at 930 but were closed by 850. The lady inside was not very communicative or kind either

Chicken Burrito was just tasteless. Rice was dry and hard. Burrito was not well made. Ingredients were piled together so that each bite was something different. Ingredients are meant to be layered together so that the flavors mix. Staff were not well trained and young...
