Great coffee and great food in a really nice atmosphere. Club sandwich could feed a family of four for a week!! Staff friendly and helpful.

We have just had a lovely lunch . The service was very friendly and welcoming. There was a lady on her first day of working there and looks like she will be a great asset to the business. She was lovely with our dog too (which are allowed in the front lounge). The food was really delicious and large portion sizes. I had a jacket potato and there was plenty of filling, which is always a bonus ! My boyfriend had a goats cheese salad, which he said was really tasty. The cappuccinos were made from good coffee too. The cakes looked good but we resisted! Very pleasant experience and we will return.

Linda not Andy. We came as a group of 12 at 2pm today. We are a swimming group from Priory pool. We have come here many times, and Paul could not be a better host. Paul is hard working, and can't do enough for you. His staff are also really consciousness. Again I had the chicken and bacon club sandwich. Such a treat with salad and crisps. Other people like the massive jacket potatoes with different fillings. I can't fault this establishment. It's a jewel in the Liverpool Road bar/cafe scene.

Went in with my family and we had milkshakes and cake. Loved it. Service excellent and the cafe environment brilliant. Helpful and happy staff. Definitely go in again and try some savouries this time.

Friendly staff and nice place for coffee. However I wasn't impressed with lunch. Had Goats Cheese salad, cheese was fine but hardly any salad ingredients mainly lettuce. OK for rabbits.

Myself and my friend called today. Kindly made us a table for two at the fireside as we had not booked. Very friendly service, we both had a jacket potatoes to which i have never seen potatoes as large. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and shall be returning. Seeing photos of the Robinson family, family friends from the past was a very nice added bonus too .. 💕

Amazing cakes and the best service!

I was really looking forward to a catch up with my sister and some nice food, how wrong I was, we ordered pancakes and waffles,the waffles we piping hot, however both portions of pancakes were cold, my sister mentioned this to a waitress, there was no issue we were just going to eat them, then a lady approached our table to say sorry and she would redo the order again, as she was aware they had been a delay, so she knew they not hot when they were sent out. We declined the offer as we wanted to eat together which we were quite happy about, the lady who turns out to be the owner turned away rolled her eyes and stormed off, this was highly unprofessional. My daughter decided to put a review on Google, just as we were about to leave the owner came storming over to the table waving her mobile in our faces saying 1 star review is that all I'm worth,I was going to refund you but you can forget it now, I asked her to lower her voice as the cafe had other customers in but she carried on, we tried to explain her actions of eye rolling made the situation worse, we were happy to leave it with telling the waitress the pancakes were cold. All in all a very bad experience, which really didn't have to be if it had been handled better.

Regarding Chloe Drinkwater unbelievable untrue review below. Myself and my family were sat on a table opposite. We heard the lady moan about other establishments food (fish and dry chips) The owner when she was in formed of the issue came straight over to offer fresh food and to refund for the inconvenience to be told no by the lady in question. The lady was stating the owner had a bad attitude when in fact the owner was extremely apologetic and friendly. I have no more words apart from we come here every week and thoroughly enjoy the food and staff that can’t do enough for you

Dont bother unless you like cold packet food and rude staff! We mentioned the food wasnt warm but we didnt want to send it back as others had started eating in our group and the lady who i assume is "cooking" pulled her face and stormed off! There was only one employee who was lovely, who was an older lady. Edit - the owner decided to march out to us in front of other customers and have a go at us for writing a review! She proceeded to say "I was going to give you a refund but now i'm not" Awful place, awful owner and awful staff.

We came for lunch today it was very disappointing the soup was tasteless after adding two sachets of salt and two of pepper it was still tasteless.we told the waiter but did nothing about it we ate most of it as we had skipped breakfast to eat here wont be returning.

Amazing lunch out. My daughter is coeliac and nothing was too much trouble. Now our favourite place to go. Most things on the menu can be made gluten free. Staff were fabulous and very welcoming. Food was great!! The desert was so nice and plenty of choice too , even lots off gluten free too. Highly recommended.

Cosy little café, friendly staff, expansive menu. Portion sizes were very generous. It was rather busy and so was a little louder than I'd prefer, but it was a Saturday afternoon so to be expected :) Hoping to return next time I'm in Preston - there was a lot of tempting choices on the menu!

What a lovely little gem of a place, with a licenced bar in the middle of Penwortham, just outside Preston. Had the good fortune to visit unplanned today with my hubbie for Saturday lunch. What a relaxing treat it was too. We were seated in the bar area on comfy leather sofa chairs, There was also further separate room with seating internally and also externally to the front of the cafe. lovely attentive staff but not intrusive which added to the relaxing atmosphere and happy vibe. Baristo area was lit with twinkle lights which is a nice touch. Food resonabley priced with good portion sizes, and varied menu choices. I had the Club sandwich and my hubby had the Spanish eggs benadict with halopenos and chorizo, definitely recommend. It was lovely to chat over lunch. Will definitely be calling again. Thank you for the friendly chat. Ample parking behind a lot of the shops.

Behind a lovely garden on the high street is a cute tearoom with marvellous food and drinks !! Best for brunches and lunches, there is something for everyone !! Will definitely return when we’re here again !

First time visiting, noticed as walked by, warm welcome into the place. Was seated very quickly by staff with a smile. Menu was a good selection. Food was great, and fresh. Nice, relaxed atmosphere. No rush to finish and vacate. Overall a very pleasant experience. Would recommend.

There are a lot of great coffee bars/tea rooms etc in Penwortham, in fact we are quite spoilt for choice but BonBons is the best with a great atmosphere and a great menu. All the staff are dressed the same which adds to the uniqueness of this great venue.

Passing by and looking for a takeaway coffee and what a find! The coffee is excellent, easily on a par with the major chains, if not better. First class service, too. We will come back again, soon.

Lovely place,very relaxing. Staff are very good.Husband and wife team that own and run it,are exceptionally pleasant and friendly. Wonderful outside area with heaters if needed,set in a beautiful garden. A perfect place for a snack and chat. (Don't need the plastic flowers.These distract from the beauty and naturalness of the setting.)

I booked the afternoon tea here to celebrate my Mum's birthday with my Grandma too. We all absolutely loved it! Clearly lots of thought and passion goes into the food and the service, lots of attention to detail. All staff take the time to make everyone feel welcome and they are smartly dressed too. I'll certainly be back - well, that is once I've finished all these leftovers I brought home in a box 😍

Proper quality 👌went for brunch yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. I had a bacon and egg toasti. Very nice and plenty to eat although they don't give it away as they are a business after all. But it's like the adage goes, you get what you pay for. Well worth the visit and shall return. Thank you Bon Bons 👍

First time visiting here popped in for a light bite and a catch up with a friend. Would recommend booking a table in advance as we were lucky to get seated. Very popular place and from the looks of the food that was coming out I can understand why it all looked amazing. We plumped for some waffle action .. my friend had the plain Jane which was two Belgian waffles with maple syrup ice-cream and cream. I had the fudge brownie waffles which was two Belgian waffles with cubes of brownie scattered over it witch chocolate sauce cream and ice cream. They were delicious, so tasty I forgot to take pictures. Looking forward to going back to sample the panini's or the jacket potatoes.

When it's actually open it's good .. not cheap, but good. Shut on mother's day🙃

After reading loads of really positive reviews, I decided to go for lunch for the first time at BonsBons. All of the reviews I have read are totally true. Wonderful attentive service, great food which arrived promptly and was really hot. We chose the jacket potato and a sandwich with homemade soup. Both were delicious. There's also a wonderful atmosphere in the main area. Highly recommended

Our first time there, very welcoming with a comfortable atmosphere. Very popular, it was fairly busy at 2pm and they we're taking phone bookings whilst we were there. Good choice of coffee and an excellent choice of cakes. Food and alcohol also available, but we didn't try on this occasion. Good outdoor seating available and we'll definitely be returning soon.

Wonderful, and an asset to the renaissance of the Penny Strip, a run of bars and eateries and excellent local businesses. Highly recommended but to be sure do book, as extremely popular. Nice people too! Local Chartered Surveyor and purveyor of good taste.

O.M.G. ... the 40 minute drive to get to this gem of a place, was soooo worth it!! ... I have just eaten THE BEST eggs benedict ever!! Perfectly poached eggs, fresh spinach leaves, crispy bacon, and a deliciously creamy hollandaise, served on a fresh, lightly toasted ciabatta! Absolutely scrumptious. 😍 The service is also second to none - Friendly, warm, and welcoming! .... I'm already planning my next road trip, to sample their lunch menu, and their indulgent array of homebaked cakes.

Lovely tea shop ...enjoyed tea and cake inside furnished really nice. Did expect a China cup but modern pottery but that's just my preference.Staff friendly good service. Also a cafe bar so drinks and food available which is great. Will definitely visit again.

Delicious Eggs Benedict and big selection of gluten free cakes. I tried raspberry one and toffee - both were very good. I love this place. The waitress and lady at the counter were both efficient and friendly. Thank you for such an amazing lunch!

Visited Bon bons today with my daughter and granddaughter for my birthday. It was the first time I had been and I will definitely be returning. Food was beautiful and plentiful. Staff were extremely helpful and happily supplied hot water for babies bottle and cold water to cool it. Decor is lovely too. Well worth a visit.

Excellent venue for just a coffee and a cake, try the lemonade scones with lemon curd,, so delicious, great menu for lunches with extremely generous portions, great staff, great place. Can highly recommend.
