My friend an I have just had the most wonderful afternoon tea at Bon Tea today. Everything you could possibly wish for with a good selection of freshly made sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam. Also on the third tier of the stand was the most beautiful selection of mini delicacies. Mini fruit tarts, fresh strawberries in wafer thin chocolate baskets just to name a few. The loose leaf tea was refreshing and topped up during our stay. I can't fault in any way and this experience is by far top of my list as far as afternoon tea goes. Also as part of the service we were aloud to choose from a selection of homemade cakes to take away. Cannot fault in any way. Will definitely be back for more.

This is by far the best place to have afternoon tea. You get a choice of sandwiches on brown or white and little cakes and scones with jam and cream. Tea made with tea leaves in china cups. More expensive places I've been have more cake and very few sandwiches. You also can take what you don't eat home and they offer every customer homemade cake to take home. Can't say enough about Le Bon. Terrific value for money

My wife and I had heard this place was meant to be good so we decided to go for an afternoon tea. It was a last minute decision so we were lucky to get a table. Thankfully, I messaged the lady and she was able to jig things around and squeeze us in. The shop is very cute and pink. It feels very authentic as they add little personal touches. Between the 2 of us we had to choose 3 sandwich fillings from 5 options (I expected a few more to choose from). We ended up going with cheese & ham, tuna & mayo and egg & mayo. The afternoon tea came with scones with jam and clotted cream, a selection of small sweet treats and of course a pot of tea of your liking. I would have liked to have seen what tea’s they had available and for it to visible somewhere (the lady did list a few). Service was not bad and staff were quite friendly. We didn’t have to wait too long for our food. The sandwiches were generous and tasted as you would expect. You have the option between brown and white bread. The scones appeared a little stale on the outside but on the inside they were very soft and tasty. The jam was very jelly like but nice and the clotted cream was spot on. The sweet treats on the top layer were good. Some were tastier then others but the attention to detail was what we were most impressed about. Our favour was the cupcake with the macaron on top. Our teas cups of tea were also nice. We got a choice of homemade cakes and treats to takeaway. I went with the carrot cake and my wife had the empire biscuit. Both of which were fine. Overall, we thought it was good value and we are glad we visited. For afternoon tea standards. I’d say it’s great.

Went there with two friends for afternoon tea. The service was excellent as was the food. The choice of sandwiches was excellent and there was just enough to eat. We all really enjoyed the meal and will definitely come back.

We has an absolutely fantastic takeaway afternoon tea from Bon Tea for a birthday celebration. Sandwiches were well filled, scones were delicious and cakes were scrumptious and to add to the service we received this on cake stands which looked amazing. The birthday girl loved it. I would highly recommend this as an option if your looking to do something a wee bit special. This will definitely be our go to for birthdays now.

Picked up an afternoon tea from bon tea room yesterday and would just like to say it was lovely all items were fresh and tasty .and very good value for money.

Only giving a 1 star to allow me to post this review. Unfortunately, went to Mimi's but couldn't get in so decided to try Bon on Costorphine road. Wish we hadn't bothered. Only a table of 2 in before the 3 if us yet we still waited half an hour for 2 Coffee's a cup of tea and 3 toasties. Sent my toastie back as I think they must have dropped the filling in the kitchen. It was like the old service station sandwiches that make you think the sandwiches are full and when you open it up, there's a small blob right at the front. It was supposed to be tuna and red onion it should have been tuna surprise as it would have been a massive surprise to actually find some tuna. At £4.50 a toastie I would have expected some filling. Plus, one person tending to tables is just a way of showing how tight the owners are. Oh, and you can't pay by card!!! Another tax dodge!! Won't be back ever!!!!

I ordered and picked up an afternoon tea for 2.It was beautifully packaged and laid out on a 3 tier cake stand(which you keep!) A further 3 boxes of sandwiches, cakes and scones were waiting for me too. Everything was so fresh and very tasty. Fantastic value, will be ordering again

I ordered an afternoon tea for two , as a surprise for my daughter and she was absolutely delighted!There was an amazing array of sandwiches, scones and beautiful cakes, presented on a fabulous cake stand. I cannot praise this tearoom enough. It was the most stunning afternoon tea I’ve ever seen. She sent me the photos of it and it looked absolutely FABULOUS!! Apparently tasted as good too!!

It was on a rainy day that we discovered this small tea room with a warm atmosphere, the pastries were excellent.

We enjoyed a nice afternoon tea and the food was lovely. unfortunately some acetate/plastic was left on one the items which had a chocolate wrap around. We didn't notice this until one of our party had it in there mouth, it could have been a chocking hazard but luckily she realised. When we told they staff they didn't apologise and ther response was it sometimes happens. We feel that they should have at least given a small apology.

I have ordered 2 takeaway afternoon teas over the last couple of weeks for different occasions and the quality, service and friendliness are second to none. You get more than enough for the amount you order for and the food is absolutely delicious from the sandwiches, scones, right down to the beautifully hand made cakes . I have had many afternoon teas from Lin over the years and never been disappointed. Would very highly recommend and the value for money is excellent. Thank you Bon Tea Room xxx

We bought a friend a Bon voucher for a takeaway Afternoon Tea in Dec 2019 and due to Covid and my friends shielding, they completely forgot about the voucher until the very last minute. Contacted Bon Tea room and they were fantastic and happy to provide a takeaway at very short notice. My wife collected the Afternoon Tea and my friend and his wife were over the moon with the food and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were very happy with the service and have used in the past and will continue to use this service going forward. Thank you.

A wee Birthday treat brought us here this week for a first, but not last, visit!! A lovely friendly welcome as we arrived at our allotted time ( you need to book). It is quite small with a bigger open room up 3 stairs.There is a small limited menu if you wish a coffee & cake. But the 'icing on the cake ' has to be the Afternoon Tea!!An absolute steal at under £12 and beautifully presented- it takes some beating against its 'tea competitors' and in consuming the delightful treats!A beautiful array of sandwiches- choice offered. Two small scones - fruit/plain with jam and clotted cream, and ' piece de resistance' a lovely selection of miniature patisserie- and delicious they were too! As if not more than satisfied, you are sent on your way with a piece of cake from those on display! Will certainly be back! Thank you Bon, and well done!

First visit to BON and it certainly won't be our last. Choice of 3 delicious fillings for our beautiful and delicate sandwiches. Huge pot of tea to enjoy. Incredible little scones with homemade raspberry jam and cream. Mmm! To finish - the most fantastic little cakes. Absolutely perfect. But even better we were given a slice of cake to take home and enjoy. Very friendly waitress. Thank you so much for a superb afternoon tea.

Friendly service and a good choice of food. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Her assistant cannot do enough for the customers. In short it is more than a run of the mill tea room.

My mum had recently been made redundant so to cheer her up we ordered afternoon tea to be delivered. After reading lots of wonderful reviews we couldn’t wait to try all the delicious selection of treats and what a delicious selection of treats they were!! So tasty, beautifully presented and lovely customer service! Highly recommend

El puesto de pasteles tenía una selección de sándwiches cortados delicadamente, una hermosa selección de pasteles hechos a mano y en la parte superior rasgaba la tetera de chocolate blanco más hermosa hecha a mano, dos cisnes de pasta choux encima de un pastel de chocolate y tres tazas de té de chocolate blanco llenas de crema de fresa con una rodaja de fresa fresca en la parte superior. También recibimos 4 cajas más con un relleno de sándwiches rellenos mixtos, bollos rellenos de crema cuajada y mermelada, 2 cajas más pequeñas con rebanadas de pastel.Excelente calidad y presentación. Atención a los detalles ?%.Esperamos nuestro próximo pedido. I really cannot recommend this tea room enough. It is a little gem of a place, located in Corstorphine. As well as sit in service, they also offer the most spectacular takeaway afternoon teas which have to be seen to be believed. They even come with a 3 tier cake stand, which is laden with goodies. There are extra boxes as well with huge slices of delicious cakes and extra sandwiches. Portions are very generous and the little cakes on the top of the cake stand are works of art! The owner is a creative genius with her baking! Gift vouchers also available for both sit in and takeaway afternoon tea, which are beautifully presented in little hand-crafted envelopes and valid for a year. Definitely the prettiest, tastiest and best value for money afternoon tea you will find anywhere in Edinburgh. Give it a try - you wont be disappointed!

Visité con amigos, tomé el té de la tarde más delicioso. Deliciosos sándwiches, bollos con crema y mermelada coagulada y los pequeños pasteles intrincados más increíbles. Un hermoso cisne pequeño hecho de pasteles choux. Selección de té traído en macetas con té cosies y tazas y platillos de China. El personal muy amable. Al salir, todos nos pidieron que recogiéramos un pastel y la selección para llevar a casa, si tomas el té de la tarde, esto es parte de eso. Increíble, así que me fui con un pastel de zanahoria en caja. Sin duda volveremos aquí y lo recomendaré a todos mis amigos. También hacen vales de regalo. Creo que recibiré algunos como regalos de cumpleaños.

Bon Tea is a delightful tea room. The staff are family friendly and can't do enough for you. The sandwiches and cakes are delicious.

Everything was delicious and perfect. Excellent variety of sandwiches. Delicious scones with cream and jam. The cakes were plentiful, light and bite size so managed to have one of each. And everyone gets a slice of delicious cake to take home. It's a must go to and looking forward to my next visit.

Bon Tea Room was recommended to me for their afternoon tea. I was told to book a table in advance. That was good advice. I have been for afternoon tea at various locations with my son and I think this is the best we have had. The price was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. Their attention to detail helped to make the experience more special, as if they wanted us to be there not just customers in their shop.

Visited with 4 friends and had christmas afternoon tea. The food and presentation was really nice with fresh sandwiches and novelty christmas cakes etc. Price is good too for obvious effort put into it.

Came here for a surprise birthday party for my sister-in-laws 30th and the service was amazing from start to finish and both ladies that were working there were so attentive throughout.we had afternoon tea and everything from the sandwich’s to scones to the little cakes at the top were so fresh and so tasty! All the hot drinks were also so so nice creamy and frothy! Definitely recommend!! Can’t wait to be back!!

Worth booking made fresh to order and can be booked to takeaway the skill and craft that goes into making these loving cakes is amazing - always leave full and never feel rushed. Teapots have amazing hand knitted individual cozy's on too - its a must

I have been to many an afternoon tea and some in very posh places, but this lovely little cafe out stripped many of those on Quality and certainly price. There was a great selection of sandwiches, fresh scones with clotted cream and jam. The little cakes were perfection. Tea was loose leaf and topped up as required. We had such a lovely afternoon there and not made to feel rushed at any point. Then just when you think you can't get better value for £9.95 they give you a choice of a slice of cake from their counter to take away. Can't wait till we return again. This is a must for service, choice and price.

Amazing afternoon tea baby shower. Fresh tasty sandwiches, great home made scones and very delicately crafted chocolate work and cakes. Beautifully presented on tiered plates with real china cups and saucers. We booked another baby shower themed afternoon tea here for my friend (we had her last baby shower here a couple of years ago). I have always loved Bon, their scones are delicious and its such a relaxing, quiet place.Their afternoon tea is beautiful. The sandwiches although basic are tasty but the cakes, scones and chocolate treats are fantastic. Such attention to detail and everything really delicious. The staff are welcoming and attentive but also leave you to relax unhurried for as long as you want. I love it and would highly recommend this place. You need to pre-book afternoon tea, it is only £13.95pp but it is far nicer than much more expensive afternoon teas elsewhere.

I’ve used Bon on several occasions sit in and takeaway! The afternoon tea is great, you get bitesize cakes so you get a bit of everything. And a full size cake to take away. The attention to detail is amazing and you can choose a theme too, Along with the cakes you get sandwiches and delicious scones. Everything is always fresh and tasty, and the prices are so reasonable. Lin is always very helpful and friendly too! It’s also my mums favourite cafe! Great for a special occasion

I had the pleasure of winning a Take Away afternoon tea from Bon which was absolutely AMAZING!! I have been in Bon Tea Room many times with my family and friends and it never fails to amaze me the level of detail Lin puts into all the afternoon teas, lovely fresh sandwiches, tasty scones with jam and cream and beautiful dainty pastries and cakes. To top all that, you also get to take away a slice of homemade cake aswell!! The takeaway afternoon tea on this occasion was Mad Hatter themed, it was just fabulous. I went here for catering for a small awards event. Stunning cakes and presentation with fantastic service. Easy packaging for collection and generous amounts of good food all reasonably priced. Would use them again and would highly recommend for an event or a visit. Lovely staff
