Great food, plenty of choice. We booked and sat in. Welcoming staff. Fairly reasonably priced.

Poor service food was mediocre

I’ve used this restaurant. Few times for the last couple years, but I’ve noticed a decline in the quality and delivery of food. The rice is always lukewarm, wet and can taste soapy at times. The chicken is at times grisly, and cheap Cuts. This evening is final time I will use this place, took them 1.45 hours to deliver. Rang the restaurant and was asked to give a few minutes more, when I asked for a definitive time they said 10-15 minutes. 25 minutes still arrived rang back and enquired again, the owner told me to give it a few minutes more, again I asked how long is few minutes. He told me he was very busy and I should allow more time, as it takes time to cook everything and he cook’s everything to order, and to understand it is busy. I explained I’d been waiting 1.30 hours already and enquired if diners were expected to wait that length of time, if he cooked everything to order? He just kept saying it was very busy and my getting angry over the delivery time was not helpful! 😂😂. I was also told I should have told them on order i needed this quick, which I did when ordered online I ticked asap! But guess that doesn’t means, when the restaurant wants to send the order. He also often asks when you go to pay on card, he asks for cash instead. I will no longer use this restaurant and would not recommend it.

Had food from the new Thai menu and it was not good, staff not very friendly either. Red curry was bland, no flavour and fried noodles with spicy sauce had an odd flavour and too much ginger. Steamed rice was very claggy.

Had my mum's birthday dinner at Bombay Spice, staff were extremely friendly, service was fantastic, and the food was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend A*****

Excellent food & very attentive service. The restaurant was very clean and we were made to feel very welcome. Our teenagers said that the chicken tikka masala was the nicest that they had had.

Great food and very personal service. The food is tasty & suits an English taste, spicy and quite hot, maybe we shouldn’t have emphasised our need for heat! Also they accommodated vegetarian very well, without the need to add frozen vegetables. They now have a license so can sell beer, cider and wine. Lovely food

I like thier food but the past 2! Times!! The delivery driver has WALKED INTO MY HOUSE!!! this happen last night and when I called the store to complain while in tears, they made excuses like I didn't hear him knock my door. My living room is next to my front door, the living room door stays open and my sofa is next to it. Not hearing a knock is impossible. What happened was horrific to someone who's home alone!!! I will not be ordering here again. Twice is one to many times to have a complete stranger just randomly open my door and walk in!!

Very poor quality of the food. The food was bland and very oily, we literally had to drain the excess oil into the bin. All the vegetarian curries we ordered had the same sauce and the food did not taste fresh. Never ordering from here again.

Have used this restaurant for a long time both dine in and take away. The foods as good as its ever been. The staff are polite and friendly and treat regular customers like family. You can also bring you own alcohol which makes for a very reasonable night out. Nothing fancy just great genuine Indian food.

First time order, everythin was bland + tasteless even sauces, chips barely cooked, it will be my last time ordering from here.....very disapointing

Went with my daughter we had a lovely meal. I had meat free was great. Rebecca had a chicken curry, good sized portions friendly staff overall a great night out.

Called into Bombay Spice for a change ( dont eat Indian too often) , The restaurant and takeaway was busy and the girl said it would be a half hour wait. The good thing as she checked with the manager and as i was only ordering one meal he said he would make it himself and give him 10 mins. Sure enough 10 mins later i got my food and left. It was enough for 2 people and the Peshwari naan was great, The rice was the best Ive had, Food so nice. thanks

We always enjoy going to Bombay Spice. They have now got their licence to sell alcohol so we celebrated with a glass of wine. Service was friendly as usual.

Food is horrible, the customer service is awful and rude. Sauce came leaked everywhere and they wasn’t bothered, it had gone all over the drinks and when they were asked to swap them their response was “rinse them underneath the tap” they got my order wrong,the food was cold when It had arrived. The Doner meat tastes like dog food and the chicken tastes like it’s been stored for several months before being cooked. The sausages look as if they’re from Iceland or some sort and it doesn’t look appealing just as it doesn’t taste nice. Never ordering from there again. I’d rate it a 0 but that’s not possible

Substandard food ! Food was not fully cooked . Very gloomy ambiance. They charge you for basic dish like papdam which is complimentary in most of the restaurants. Funny part was we went with my 2 years old and asked the waiter for some extra napkins . She comes up and say here are some free napkins ! I mean really ? Who charge you for basic thing like napkin? Sloppy and incompetent staff .

Chicken Tikka Garlic Chilli Masala 😋🥰

Orderd a chicken tikka masala asked for the sauce to be thicker still came runny took hour odd for delivery and they still forgot part the order so had wait on that to be deliverd again food was cold too as I rung up 40 min after ordering they said it be up very soon as ther just waiting delivery driver waited another 40 min will not order out ther again terrible it was worst Indian I’ve ever had can’t wait till Indian kitchen back open best Indian food in larne by far you can definitely tell the difference in food wouldn’t even give this a star but I have too 😡

Can I start by saying I am not complaining about the food, we get out of it regularly and it is always lovely and fresh. However tonight I placed my order (only few items for my husband and I) came home started to put it out and my hubby says I can’t find any meat (he had ordered a special balti ) then the penny dropped, the girl taking the order must have put down vegetable balti. So I rang and had to go down and lift the correct one 10-15 mins later (and I had to wait on it) which meant the other meal and naan were cold. On arrival I had to pay two pound for the mixed meat, which i can understand but the mistake was not mine and i had to go back down for it !!! No real apology and no thought that our dinner had been ruined as the other meal had been sitting now for about half an hour and had to be reheated. Very disappointed 😞😞. Customer service poor

Ordered chicken kebab, naan bread was completely soggy, moved the chicken and onions to the side and found a ‘puddle’ of juices lying on the bread. Normally really enjoy all food from here but was very disappointed this evening, it went in the bin unfortunately.

Kebab was ok but the chips were soggy and not nice and salad was poor, drink was not cold

First time trying this restaurant on a recommendation from a friend and won't be the last. Food delicious. Can't wait to try sitting in for a full Indian meal experience with family once lock down is over. Highly recommended if you enjoy great food.

Thought I'd try something different, Tandoori King prawn Marsala. Awful. Sickly sweet coconut sauce. No spices or herbs. Give this one a miss. I'm going to stick to the Biryani.

Not such a Happy New Year. 2 hour wait for a delivery, whilst delivery man very pleasant and helpful. Food, service and after service dreadful. Even when items missing and order incorrect significant lack of acknowledgment or ability to address situation. Rubbish year and rubbish meal to end.

Absolutely first class, delicious food, very fast delivery, piping hot and very helpful and friendly customer service, first time getting from here but it certainly won’t be the last. Wonderful!!!

Have been using for a while now both sit in and take away. A basic curry house but the food is tasty and staff are vey friendly. Good portions and value for money. Delivery can be a bit slow at weekends but worth the wait and always hot.

Good quiet place to enjoy the dinner. If you love indian food then definitely recommended. Friendly staff, good food.

Provided you don't mind the basic decor then this is a great place to have an Indian meal and it is byo too. Great value for money.

Really good food! I had a dhansak which was much spicier than any dhansak I've had in other Indian restaurants, but delicious. I will say my dad had the Korma but found it very sweet. No problems with service

Ate here a lot but recently the food has gone way downhill. They got our last order totally wrong and had to wait an additional 30mins at pick up for them to sort out. Came home only to find out the order was still wrong and items missing which had been charged for. Won't be back..

A quiet night down at the local curry house in my home town. It is BYO alcohol there. I have another TA review from over four years ago, but between times I have eaten in a few other places! I am really pleased to see that Mohammed and family are still in Larne. Fantastically crispy poppadoms this time. I had a spicy chicken tikka starter and the same spicy chicken dish with naga as reported in my last review!! Only in Larne... Absolutely delicious. My daughter went for prawn puri and chicken tikka makhani which she really enjoyed. Our dining partners were equally delighted with their, more lamb based, curries. Bombay Spice deserves to move up review wise! The evening was under £80 for four diners having poppadoms, chutneys, starters, mains and sides. Many thanks to Mohammed. Hoping to be back soon.

Credit where it is due the food is good But the owner/ waiter is terrible eg.leaving main course down before starter had been finished everything seemed so rushed not the most relaxing night out

I have been to many Indian Restaurants in my time and adore the cuisine, this place is nothing short of a very fast food takeaway with greasy, overcooked, sloppy crap pig swill I would not serve to a dog.....disgusting!!!!!!I ordered a takeaway and all I could taste was salt!!!!, the curry sauce had a layer of pure grease on top, the rice was nice tho...the mixed grill would have taken a piranha fish to chew through, disgusting and what a waste of money, don't don't ever go there unless the world is ending and you need to survive cos the fat in the crap food will keep you going for the future.....disgusting!!!!!!

The Bombay Spices is a small but very pleasant place to have an Indian Meal. Wide range of dishes here with good Flavors. Very clean and good quality here. on the down side its very small with not much space for a wheelchair if its busy. I went out with a few of my nieces and a nephew with my sister and brother-in-Law

Always had good food here. Portion sizes very good. Wudnt recommend the goujons as they always seem to over cook them but kebabs are excellent

To look at it, you'd think that Bombay Spice is the most utterly charming eatery imaginable. Food and service is very good.

Food is generally of a very good standard. Make sure to tell them how hot/mild you like your food.No dessert options which would be nice especially if you take children with you - even a scoop of ice cream would do!BYOB but make sure to take any leftovers home as the owner Mohammed will keep it and sell it to another customer.Decor is very tired and has the most amazingly random, tatty collection of £ shop art I have ever seen.Washrooms are very clean but so basic they verge on primitive. If you have ordered to collect you will wait by the phone/reception area directly outside the toilet door which is also at the kitchen door. Take a book or magazine as you may have a long wait and there is nothing to distract you from the owner shouting in the kitchen about too much rice on plates.I have dined here 4/5 times this year, the first time being around mid February.Our waiter was a really warm, friendly, relaxed guy. Think he was a student from memory. Sadly he has not been there the last few times we visited.We drive past here practically every evening and more often than not the owner is half lying across the chairs at the window playing on his phone (he could use his time taking down the awful pictures or doing something to encourage people to come in)Other than weekends the place is usually empty but that isn't exactly surprising given the way he treats female customers.On this last occasion I was with a female work colleague and 2 male colleagues. He stood at the edge of the table continually leering down our fronts and didn't seem to care that the guys with us could be our partners. He constantly talked about himself and did not give us space to have our own discussion over dinner. Did not take the hint when we tried to ignore him. Was more interested in moaning about a.how bad business is b.losing £5000 at bookies c.his pending court appearance for driving at 80mph as a new driver limited to 45mph. Really? Why would you ruin our meal by constantly asking us if we can help get you off in court? We work in an office for goodness sake! Sadly this is nothing new as the previous 2 occasions had involved 3 of us, all female, and we had all felt so uncomfortable at his dirty talk (no ring=single & up for it apparently) that we did not even finish our meals 2nd time and left asap. We only went the last time as we had males with us and hoped it would not be a repeat performance. How has this man never been taken to task by an irate partner? Anyway, in order to enjoy the food without the propositioning, the ladies decided to order a mid week delivery. Oh no! Who delivered the meal, over an hour later? You guessed it! The demon driver with the upcoming trial (who even managed to reverse onto the lawn going out of a straight parallel drive!?!?)So now he knows where one of us lives! Thankfully it wasn't my house :/So after many chances Mohammed, you have lost yet more customers, forever.Oh, one last thing just while I remember.On our first visit we were paying by card and told the waiter to take £5 tip. He declined the tip saying that the staff did not get any share of tips and even cash tips were put straight into a tin to pay for gas or electric. Disgusting IMO.

Loveley fresh tasty food. Was piping hot when I got it home. It's a hidden gem in Larne a must visit if you like Indian food. Mohammed is very warm and welcoming.

Absolutely dreadful service - they had someone on the phone who I had to explain the order to approximately 10 times. In the end I just gave up. You should not have front of house answering the phone if they can't take orders.

Very fast delivery. But I was thinking of having salad in kebab. And no lettuce in the purse. And there's no tomato onion and cucumber.

Normalmente orden un lejos de aquí aproximadamente una vez al mes porque cuando estás pidiendo para 3 personas puede ser caro. Pedí un arroz frito con cordero shaslik. Cuando llegó consistía en cortar cebolla en general 4, así que básicamente 4 grandes barrios de cebolla, los bordes estaban negros quemados y estaban completamente crudo en el medio, tanto así que no podía mi fork en mente, nunca cortar. Había 4 cubitos pequeños de cordero muy duro que tuve que realmente difícil de encontrar, y algunas piezas grandes de pimienta verde. No había salsa. Mi arroz estaba tan hecha que sentimos como piedras en la boca, y tuve que quitarlos de mi boca, era totalmente comestible, ¿es difícil cocinar arroz? Básicamente toda mi plato fuimos en la papelera.

Had a great meal here after a long day traveling up from the Republic. Nice and spicy and plenty to eat. Waiter, student at a University in Belfast, was very friendly.

Not even worth 1 star. Arrived 40 minutes after they said it would. No answer from the restaurant when I tried to call and Just Eat 'Chat' crashed repeatedly when I contacted them. Meal turned up stone cold, even after microwaving to heat it up the whole thing was inedible. It went in the bin and I had beans on toast instead. Never again.

Food was late after they already added and extra 15 mins for delivery time and food was freezing cold and inedible had to be binned. Will not be ordering from them again

Took the food 2 hours to arrive. When it did arrive it was cold and of an awful quality. I could have made a better Korma myself from a jar and the chips were completely dried out with barely any curry sauce on them. On top of all this they're the most expensive takeaway in Larne. Cannot recommend less

Delivery was earlier than stated food arrived at 7 instead of 7:30 Food was real nice good portions and everything that was supposed to be there was there. Reasonably priced also

Don't usually have Indian food but thought we would try something different so ordered food as a take away , collected the food it was piping hot , the nan bread was burnt round the edges , the rice was cooked to perfection , both of the dishes we ordered in my opinion were vert salty this over took the flavours of the dish , I'm not sure if we just got the restaurant on a bad night or if this is normal , would probably try again just to see as I do believe if it hadn't been for the over powering salt that the food would of been very good

Ordered the food around 11, as it was a Saturday night I was expecting a wait. The earliest time available was ten past 12, so i was gonna go for a shower, literally 5mins after ordering, it was at my door. Why state a time then deliver it an entire hour before said time? I ordered a box with numerous items in it. It stated onion bhaji and salad, neither of which were present. Also, the general taste and quality of the food were abysmal. Only reason I had ordered from there was because it was the only place in Larne on JustEat. Complete disappointment.

Ordered at half 5. Got told by the website that they would deliver by 18:15. Restaurant added another 15 mins on the time. Fair enough because i thought they would be busy. Didn't get my food till 19:15. The delivery driver gave it to the wrong address. Got free chips for the wait and mix up. Nice gesture but I dont eat chips.

A veces la comida es excelente y picante, pero otras veces es soso sin especias. No sé si es el camarero haciendo el error con el pedido o si cambian los chefs pero pacificly pedí más y a veces no, lo que es decepcionante. Usted debe explicar cómo quieres tu plato caliente como si una persona de su grupo le gusta ser suaves se todos comiendo comida suave. Ten cuidado si vas en hembras no acompañados de hombres el camarero le quedaban por su mesa toda la noche y no te dan piezas para comer. Él es una plaga. No te apresuran a abandonar la mesa, te puedes sentar con tal de que por favor, ya que el restaurante normalmente está vacía. El llevar a cabo parece hacer bien.

Would visit here for a meal about once a month with my partner. Always made very welcome. Great music in the background and the food very tasty indeed. I live their korma and peshwari nan.

Would get a takeaway from here once a month or so and the food always arrives fresh and hot. Recently we have dined in the restaurant and while the food is fab, there is little atmosphere. A bit of background music would help massively. It's BYO and there's no rush to leave your table so makes for a good night!
