Bombay Mix in Cardiff

Great take away, very friendly staff and good food. Staff are always pleasant and polite and deserve to be supported by the community.

Bombay Mix has been long established in the heart of Whitchurch Village and it has to be said that it has one of the most extensive Menu's around. They cater for all tastes. You can choose something mild like a Pasanda or something very very hot like a Phall amongst lots of other dishes. Vegetarians are also well looked after with a dedicated section on the menu. Old favourites like Pakora Massala and Khatchuri Dhansak can be found here. There are also lots of rice dishes such as chana rice, keema rice, coconut rice, mushroom rice and many more. The staff are all friendly and welcoming and I would not hesitate to recommend Bombay Mix.

So happy that they have got the food hygiene rating up. Food was amazing. Best takeaway I've had in a very long time. Lovely staff. Highly recommended 👌

I ordered £37 worth of food, the delivery driver said they knocked but I didn’t hear anything so they left it on the front door step of a very busy street in grangetown. Surprise surprise when I opened the door NO FOOD. Common sense would say just take it back to the restaurant and I would have collected. If the post man did that with my parcels I would never get a thing. They offered no apology or compensation. Very disappointing, £37 down the drain.

Literally unbelievable. We called to place an order for 7 meals, 7 rice and side dishes on Saturday14th January. During the call the person I spoke with just didn't seem bothered and in the end the call was cut off. I sat there in amazement at this and thought did they just hang up on me, so I waited 10 minutes and no call back from them. In the end I called another Business and we had great food. Bombay Mix sorry massive FAIL

Delicious, as always, we have had meals from other South Asian takeaways but nothing has been as good as the food we have eaten (for quite a few years now) from Bombay Mix.

I ordered Channa Dhansak as part of this order. The Channa dish delivered was NOT a Dhansak, so I phoned the restaurant, and they were very helpful in delivering a new ‘Channa Dhansak’, but unfortunately this was exactly the same as the first incorrect dish. I will not be ordering from Bombay Mix again because I am now still hungry. Other meals in my order were fine, but unfortunately I couldn’t share those as I am the only vegetarian in the house. Extremely disappointed

I feel very disappointed by the service tonight from Bombay Mix. We live around 1 mile away yet delivery took 2 hours 20 minutes. How is this acceptable? My young family were looking forward to there tea. We ordered at 6.30pm If Takeaways don't like Just Eat then leave their service. Don't make the Customer suffer.

I've only ever had excellent food and service from the Bombay Mix so have to score them 5 out of 5. The quality of the food is second to none and the staff are also very friendly. They have one of the most extensive menus in Cardiff with lots of unique dishes. I'd also recommend their website which is easy to use.

My second order from bombay mix and once again the food was spot on lovely, I worked for indian take aways and used to sample free food as part of employment, this is the best takeaway food I've found online and the delivery girl was sublime, great food great looking girl 👏👏👏🤳

On 2 occasions now, we have ordered a delivery which has arrived well before the time we have requested! Great you would think but not when your guests have not even arrived!!! Certainly won't be ordering from them again! Always happy to give a second chance but not a third!!!

I have to say that Bombay Mix do the best Paneer Chilli Masala in Cardiff. It's a great blend of Spicy Masala Sauce, Paneer and Green Chillies. It has to be tried.

Lovely food had multiple different dishes as ordered for all the family different and everything was fab.

Was going to do myself cheese on toast, wish I had done. Curry was Luke warm and garlic Naan bread was stone cold. Won’t use again..

Really tasty food with a solid menu. Ordered here many times and has always been good. Was slightly disappointed with the onion bahjis this time as they were not crispy enough but everything else was spot on. Food arrived 20 minutes earlier than expected too.

Really e enjoyed the meal. Better than others I've had recently.

Shocking service. Fully realise they must have been busier than usual on Saturday due to current situation, but did not expect takeaway to be over 3 hours late. Rang 3 times to find out what was happening, second time they told us it was just leaving...hour later called back again to be told it was on the way. Doesn't take an hour to get from where they are to Thornhill. Could have had the decency to let us know, or to stop taking orders earlier if they knew they simply could not keep up. Some of the chicken in my korma wasn't cooked properly, can't do anything about it as we chucked it before thinking of taking photos as it was 11.30 at night when it finally arrived. Will never use again.

Paid £20 for delivery which arrived 45mins. late cold, and had to be warmed up in microwave ,rang to complain only to be offered big discount on next order.and to say how extremely busy they were if I would of been told I would of cancelled

Of course these are exceptional times, but this feels like exploitation. An hour late, asked for no contact delivery and please ring doorbell. No ring, found food outside. Cold, not cooked properly and one (important) item missing. As front line NHS workers this was a treat paid for by our children. Please don't take orders if you can't fulfill them properly. Feel taken advantage of.

Great Service and lovely food from Bombay Mix tonight. We enjoyed the Tandoori Chicken and Paneer Chilli Masala. The Pilau Rice and Garlic Naan was also very tasty. The food arrived hot and early which was great news.

Very mild 'Madras' sauce. Wrong rice & chicken tasted awful. A very bland curry. This was a delivered takeaway.

Arrived on time but food was disappointing. The tubs were far from full and it was just about warm(ish). The lamb was super chewy and fatty. And there was a lot of oil to tip out. Not impressed.

Nice food overall but was initially missing all the pilau rice from our order which had to be sent out separately so this messed up us all being able to eat at the same time.

Please note that on the website this take-away states that it has a 5 star hygiene rating but inside the shop it has a sign saying it has only 1 star rating! Questioned this and the worker confirmed Bombay Mix has 1 star rating ... and gave a very vague reason ... and one which doesn’t explain the website!!!

Had chicken vindaloo it was lovely would have preferred it a little bit more spicy other than that very tasty.

Absolutely shocking service.. Ordered food to be delivered at 1900 hours. Received contact from delivery driver at 2020 hours lost.. Directions given - we live within 1.5 miles. Contacted Bombay mix to hear the driver was close by and would deliver. 15 minutes later still waiting. Bombay mix contacted again.. Again we are told food will delivered straight away. At 2105 we again contact Bombay Mix to be told the food will still be delivered even though it has now been with the delivery driver since 2020 hours. We are told it will still be hot. Absolutely shocking service and customer service. The order was cancelled by us then they still wanted to deliver it with not even a reduction in cost. Not what you want after working all day. Very Bad. Would not recommend.

Have been looking for a good Indian Takeaway that delivers. We were recommended the Bombay Mix so decided to give it a try. One of the widest menus we've seen - so the only problem was trying to decide. Friendly guy took our order and read it back - to confirm. Advised 1 hour - which for 7.30 on a Saturday evening sounded good. Food arrived after 55 minutes - piping hot, and correct. Ordered 5 different main courses and all were excellent - only comment - if you haven't got a huge appetite it might be worth ordering 1 meal for 2 people - portions were very generous.

I ordered takeaway from Bombay Mix back in May 2016. I am still getting spam texts from them despite asking them to remove me from their list, and them saying they would. Never give them a mobile number.

Food was really late, called to find out where it was and was told there had been an issue with just eat website but they did have order. No apology. Food arrived cold. Curry tasted lovely but chips and bhajis aren't good microwaved or cold.

I ordered for 9pm and it came at 7.50 pm so was not ready for it. I was given egg fried rice not keema rice and the container that contained the tikka masala melted in the oven. Not great. Disappointed as it was to be a treat

Food was very good , not as spicy as I hoped but that was more to do with my choice of meal and not a reflection on the chef . I guess it's a chefs interpretation of a dish that makes it hot in one resteraunt but not in another . All in all though would definitely order from Bombay Mix again . Tim

Ordered at 1900 on a Saturday night. Restaurant put delivery time back to 2010 but food arrived at 1945. Delivery guy was really nice. Food was lovely, some dishes were a bit watery (tarka dal was more like a soup) but the flavours were superb. Will definitely order again.

I live 3 mins away and yet the food was still practically cold. The positive side It was delivered at the time they quoted.

The food arrived lukewarm and we had to heat it up before we could eat. One dish was wrong and the food was average. Not overly impressed.

We had a great takeaway last night. Friends new to the experience thoroughly enjoyed their meals. There was plenty of chicken in the curries and they put extra pappadums in the bag for us. Some days, the chicken pieces are a bit meagre, but I guess this just depends on the particular chef. Flavours are excellent and delivery is always within the hour. I would recommend giving Bombay Mix a go, they cannot do enough to please you.

And hour later than expected, so 2hiurs wait for food, with no communication from the takeaway is terrible service! The food was not hot either, barely warm, so again not as expected. Very low customer satisfaction overall!

Food ordered at 8.30pm nearly 10pm and still not here. I called at 9.35pm and was told it is on its way but unless it's coming from Bristol then they're having a laugh. The food clearly will be cold and as such I've rated the food quality in readiness. DO NOT ORDER from this takeaway if you want to eat at a reasonable time.

The Naan was a little too buttery for my taste, and the food wasn't quite as delicious as I've had from other takeaways. I didn't fully enjoy the meal but it may be my particular taste (although I did get my standard order that I would have from any restaurant). Something was just slightly off with the meal.
