Bombay Brasserie in Belfast

My boyfriend and I went last night and it was amazing. We’d been there once before to sit in and I have also ordered takeaway. The chicken tikka masala is the best in Belfast! The service was also great, lovely atmosphere to the place.

Excellent meal - highly recommended. Small cosy restaurant and good menu. Reasonably priced beer and wine selection. One of the best Dhansak that I have eaten and I’ve had several over the years. The restaurant was quiet - could have been the atrocious weather , but I expect that there is more focus on the takeaway business. That said i would recommend a visit to this Indian restaurant if you are looking for good food and service

Such lovely staff! We had a brilliant meal and the menu has plenty of choice. If you are reading this and looking for somewhere to book… go here! We will definitely be back again the next time we are in Belfast :-)

very accommodating, we tried to find a late evenung dinner after a concert in Belfast, and this was one of the few places that would serve us at 10 o’clock. What a delightful surprise, food and ser ice was fantastic. My son-in-law had never had Indian food, and said it was some of the best food he’s ever had.

Amazing Meal and Staff, myself and a friend came from England and were visiting Belfast for a couple of days. We had the mixed Starters, mixed grill, chicken korma, rice and naan. It was an amazing meal and would highly recommend if in Belfast!!

Been here many a time, food always top notch, decor could do with upgrade but not there for the decor. Birthday celebration, after being let down at last minute by a nearby Indian restaurant, Sonali took a booking with no notice for 6 people on a busy Saturday night and impressed as always. Staff all friendly and informative regarding meal choice

Good value early bird meal. We had Chicken Tikka and vegetable samosa for starters, both lovely. The chicken Tikka was so tender. Then lamb bhuna and chicken madras, again lovely fresh flavours and well spiced. The peshwari naan bread was also perfect. Very good service. £5 service charge which we thought was reasonable. Would definitely eat here again. Thank you!

My husband and I had a meal early Friday evening and when we got home and looked at the bill we found we had been overcharged by £5 under the heading misc food/drink which have no idea what this was for also we discovered they had an early bird menu which we were not shown Very disappointed

Found this place half a mile from the guest house near Queen’s University where my wife and I were staying. We both ordered dansak - chicken for her, vegetable for me - and it was delicious. I like it spicy, and it was. The place was quiet, as they seem to specialise it takeaways, but we enjoyed that. Good value for money and friendly staff.

We had a lovely meal in this restaurant yesterday evening could find no fault with the service and food will definately be back

Whilst travelling the local area and looking for something to eat, we came across Sonali. With the most recent reviews dated 2020 we were unsure if the restaurant was still open or was just for takeaways. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant is open for dining in and we enjoyed a thoroughly delicious meal.

Due to covid19 we were unable to go to the restaurant so we ordered a take away meal and it was absolutely delicious we had popadoms and dips 2 mains a lamb dansak and a chicken rayzala with pilau rice and a paswari naan bread.food was hot on delivery and very enjoyable will be ordering again The staff are very helpful and friendly

Can’t rate this place highly enough, the staff were really attentive and friendly, we ordered 2 starters and 2 mains, the starters were class,,the mixed starter was one of the best I’ve had, onion bajjies were beaut, I mistakenly ordered a prawn main, they were super good in offering to return it for an alternative, the mains were totally amazing, nan bread was super too, definitely be back for more.

Went in with a groupon deal that I got for Christmas and was very very pleasantly surprised this is by far the nicest bryiani I have tasted in a long time. We got starters and mains with garlic nan and loved every bit of this meal. My husband got the balti and couldn’t finish it as the portions were very large and he loves his grub too. We booked for mother’s day as well so I’m hoping we get.

My partner & I came here as we got a good deal through Groupon. The food was gorgeous & the staff were very friendly. We weren’t rushed when finishing our meals & just kept checking if everything was ok. Will definitely be back as this place is a proper Indian cuisine.

Would return again as our meal was lovely and nice staff member on hand to help whenever we needed something

This was always my favourite Indian restaurant. However on 2 previous occasions my friends had had bad experiences and we decided to give it a break. Last might we returned and I am so glad we did. The food was back to its usual standard....delicious....

My wife really liked the King Prawn Jaflon, I had a lamb dish (mild, possibly the Lamb Achari) recommended by waitress - very good. Good sized portions. Peshwari naan particularly nice.

Visited for the first time tonight using a Groupon deal. Ordered a chicken balti was one of the best currys ive had for a long time. Couldn't fault it. Staff were also lovely and very helpful. Will defo be back

Visited with the family, staff couldn't be more helpful nor friendly. Food superb and mountains of it. To suit all palates. And to cap it all BYOD! Go - you will not be disappointed.

As expected, was very nice. Tikka Masala and Rezzala both very good. Was pretty quiet but Sunday night when it had been snowing doesn't help that.

Excellent food from great menu full of very reasonably priced options. Beautifully prepared and served - amazing flavours. Staff friendly and helpful and advise on choices. Always great special deals with little restrictions. Can BYOB too if you wish. Lovely authentic atmosphere.

Have been in twice in the last week. The food is really good, the service is good. Moderately priced. The place itself perhaps needs a little modernisation or a lick of paint, but I wouldn't let that put you off.

Ordered the lamb korahi, amazing food as usual, best Indian restaurant I've tried to date.

No complementary poppadoms and dips despite £20 spend. Ordered a hot curry and a butter chicken, “hot” curry had no spice whatsoever and butter chicken also very bland. Rice was tasty but slightly stodgy. Very disappointed as used to order from here all the time when we lived closer and has since really dropped in quality. Don’t advertise a dish as “hot” and “with green chillies” when it had neither heat nor any form of chillies in sauce.

Ordered food at 6.20pm and it arrived at 7.45pm freezing cold! Couldn’t eat nan bread as it was stone cold and hard with a massive hole in middle. Very disappointed in what is usually a lovely meal.

The food was of low quality and not very nice. The tandoori prawns for £10.50 was a joke...complete rip off

Very disappointing. No chips. No rice with one dish. No peshwari nan. No mango chutney. Food was cold - needed heating in microwave. Over priced for what we received. I will not order again.

Decided to try something different as and as there was previous good reviews regarding the Bombay Brasserie we booked in for an evening meal. Must say we were not disappointed , with quite a good selection on the menu and very friendly and helpful staff...

Very good experience, we were advised to book and glad we did as restaurant got busy which is understandable due to excellent food and service, we were made to feel very welcome, our meal run on with many drinks after and nothing was a problem....

The food was fantastic, the portions were large but the delivery time was over an hour and kept getting pushed back.

Recently this has become my favourite Indian restaurant. Their food is always high quality and really tasty, piping hot on delivery and generally awesome.

Delivery was faster than expected but the two dishes were very similar, absolutely no spice to the jalfrezi and they both tasted like they were made from the same buttery base. No issues with service whatsoever just the food was not very exciting.

First class food and service. Generous portions with speedy delivery. Highly recommend this restaurant for takeaway or sit in.

This is my favourite restraunt I dine here on most special occasions, I have collected a delivery once but I don't think I will ever get a home delivery again it took way too long. The chips were soggy and the food was colder than the drink because it was ice Cold and the drink hot. I'm sad to say I will be advising people not to get a delivery from the Bombay brasserie which is a shame because I love to go and eat here

usually food is great, I was very disappointed with vegetarian meal. No veg except onions and peas. I was surprised the chicken was dry as well. Hoping this was a one off as my family usually enjoy Bombay Brasserie meals.

The food was freezing cold and tasteless- we were extremely disappointed. It also arrived late and as a result it went straight to the bin! The raita tasted as though it had gone off. Foul!

Food was decent quality, and good portion sizes. Guessing it would have tasted better warm!!!!!! Was booked in for a 2030 delivery slot. Driver phoned to say he was 5 minutes away at 2035 (restaurant is 1.5miles away). And finally delivered to myself in the street at 2105. Absolutely abhorrent customer service. Food was lukewarm at best, and had to be reheated, so can't comment on how it would've tasted fresh. Will not use again.

Flawless, everything was labelled this time round as before the food was incredible!

On receiving this my order as usual was really looking forward to it as the quality is always great from this place, when I opened the bag I was surprised to see that all the containers had been labelled which was never done before but no big deal at all, just made this time quicker to get the food to everyone in my house. Salad was bagged separately to stop it sweating and wilting with the mixed starter and even threw in a menu, this all seems standard but most takeways in Belfast never label or give you your order packed up with this quality, all basic stuff but adds to the overall hunger happiness, highly recommend

Poppadom was completely broken into pieces so small it went straight in the bin. It also was definitely not a full Poppadom. The curry I received was also not the curry I ordered. It was edible but very very watery

I've eaten at many Indian restaurants in NYC, etc. and the food here was a good as anywhere. Don't miss it if you enjoy Indian food.

Just visited on Wednesday evening after purchasing a groupon offer. Having eaten here last year and finding it delicious I was really looking forward to this meal. However this time service was very slow while the restaurant was empty at dinner time so this should have been a warning for me. I ordered chicken korma which was watery almost like lentil soup. When I tasted it it was like last night's leftovers reheated and watered down. The chicken was also from the previous day as it was tough and hard to cut when I finally did cut into it it appeared to be off while looking brown and grainy inside. So disgusting I didn't even bother complaining. Wish I had have taken photos but I was so disgusted at the time I just wanted to get out of there. Stay away and visit elsewhere as this is a disgusting representation of Indian food in Belfast. Don't be tempted by the constant groupon offers that explains everything. What a horrible and yuck experience.

A little romantic snug! A quaint quiet restaurant! The staff were gentle, humble and attentive. The food was delicious and the dips "to die" for as they were so good!!! We will return.
