Bombay Brasserie in Boston

Excellent visit last night. Warm welcome and excellent service from every member of staff, and banter ! Food excellent.

We are on holiday in the area and found this Indian restaurant on TripAdvisor. So glad we did, because the food was amazing! The chicken in the curries literally fell apart where it was so soft and succulent, plus, the spicy curries we ordered were actually hot! Highly recommend the Naga and Madras. Also very impressed that we got free onion bhajis, which were very tasty, and a complimentary can of lager for the hubby! AND it was packed in house and for takeaway, which is always a very good sign. Would highly recommend this place to eat/order a takeaway.

Tried this Indian Restaurant this evening and they were fully booked however expressed if we came back in 20 minutes he would be able to fit two of us in. We decided to have a drink there instead of somewhere else. From that moment on all we did was laugh I presume the head of house was the owner who made us feel like we had known him for years and we just had banter the whole time we were there. Food was amazing full of flavour and enjoyable. Definitely come back here again without fail. Keep up the good work and customer interaction as thus is a dying trade. 👍👍👍👍

The best Indian food we have ever had ! The popadoms, rice and curry were all cooked to perfection. Amazing flavours, accommodating staff fitting us in when we hadn’t pre-booked. Fantastic evening wish we lived closer to visit on a regular basis !!

When you have been on the road for a few weeks and get a little tired of pub grub and feel like something different this is the perfect change of pace. The staff are 5 star all the way and the food is outstanding. Highly recommend this restaurant for both food and service.

We walked past this place during the day and dismissed it as being "dinhgy" - went to the one further up to book a table but soon changed our minds as the staff were incapable of booking us a table, they didn't understand our accents! We are from Scotland not outer space! Walked past this restaurant again in the evening and decided to give it a go as the place was quite full. A few big groups were in. Glad we did! Food was very good, staff amazingly friendly, had no bother understanding us and even chatted to us about where we were from! Husband had Chicken madras, I had paneer sizzling- something (vegetarian) and garlic naan with 1 rice to share. Everything was so good! This place only gets a 4 as the door was a little dated, toilets were not too great - but if you can see past this - food and hospitable staff were top notch!

Always a really friendly place to eat it’s our favourite Indian restaurant in our home town. The food is always amazing suitably priced and they sneaks offer you a free drink at the end of the night 10/10 every time

Good food and friendly staff, we enjoyed our meal which was reasonably priced. The experience was somewhat spoiled by a noisy table - but you can’t blame the restaurant for customers behaviour.

Located near bus station, we parked just 2 min walk away in St George’s car park. It wasn’t particularly busy, service was very good and the food was excellent, bright and fresh. Recommended.

This is the best Indian in Boston. The Naan’s are possibly the best I have had, the food is always top whatever you try on the menu. The portion sizes are very generous and the staff are lovely. They are more than happy to adjust the spice level to request and are always very helpful to advise on the dishes on the menu. One of my favourite restaurants to visit! Never a bad meal.

We really enjoyed our meals. Both starters and mains were very tasty and service from the young lady was excellent. We had only 2 small gripes: the restaurant was very cold and the wine selection could be improved.

Dropped in on a Sunday night and no problem getting a table. They seemed quite popular with collections/deliveries though. Friendly service and not rushed. Happy we did main course only as portions were very generous size and a pretty decent standard.

Outstanding. In the area for work so popped in on my lonesome. As a solo traveller you can feel a bit of an inconvenience sometimes. Not the case here at all. The food is magnificent, and the nann is the best I've ever had! Fantastic service, will deffo be back with work colleagues 👍🏻

Had a meal here tonight with the family tried to charge me £7 for two jugs of tap water, on top of my drinks bill!!! This is also on top of the embedded service charge on the bill of £1 per person. So for my family of 6 there was a £13 charge before even ordering any food. None of this is displayed up front on the menu. I tackled the manager/owner on this and he said the Indian down the road charges £6 for a jug of tap water. I showed him online that it was illegal for a license premises to charge for tap water and he said don't believe everything Google tells you! Well my friend after further research on UK government website it is illegal for licensed premises to charge for water. He eventually deducted the cost of tap water. The food is nice but we won't be going back because of the hidden charges, very under hand!

We all ways look for an Indian to eat at when exploring a new place, this was top in Boston and didn't disappoint. Not too sure where the previous chap was reviewing. Good selection, smiley staff, busy both in the restaurant and for takeaway. 2 dishes mixed grill garam massalum and lamb jahangri karahi with a mushroom nan and chili rice. Both dishes very tasty and different in taste. Well done.

This is my favourite Indian restaurant to go to. I have never had a bad meal from Bombay, it’s always fresh and I’ve never left the restaurant without a full belly. The staff are so friendly down there and are very welcoming, I would recommend...

Friendly welcome from one of the busiest Indian restaurants in town. Dine in today but have also tried take-out. All the usual dishes served well decent portion sizes. Ambience is a little dreary and could do with a refit but it's the food that draws the clients not the decor.

We went here for a birthday meal today, there was no hand sanitiser, no social distancing, tables are packed in, the staff had masks on their chins. The waiter leaned over us with no awareness of Covid safety. Having been shielding we could not stay for the meal so had to leave.

just got back from this fantastic resturant, the food was amazing, the staff equally as good. Our daughter asked for mayo to go with her chips, the guy in the resturant, went to the asda and brought it too her. I read other reviews before we visited, some of them said the food was bland. Took a chance and here Tuesday evening, early, for the first time. Very satisfied with the service, food quality and portion size. Food is moderately priced for what you receive.The restaurant and staff are clean and well presented.During my meal the telephone hardly stopped ringing with customers phoning through their orders for takeaway or home delivery. I will call again if I’m in the area. Recommended.

What a disappointment! After having read good reviews of this Indian restaurant, I was extremely disappointed with the food we ordered for takeaway. The korma and butter chicken were basically just cream with absolutely no spices whatsoever. You could tell just from the white colour of the curry that it lacked any spices in it. Considering the price, it's not a cheap choice so expectations were high but reality was far from satisfactory. Will not be ordering from here again

The staff are very friendly and professional and will do all they can to accommodate you. The food is some of the best I have ever tasted and is good value. This restaurant is a must if you like Indian food, or why not try a take away.

We just walked in without any reservations before going to the cinema. The food was above average for an Indian and the service was excellent.

Every part of our family’s experience at Bombay Brasserie was excellent. The food was full of flavour, not too oily and good quality pieces of meat. The price was very reasonable. It was in celebration of my sister’s 40th birthday and they made her feel very special. They were also very attentive, professional, friendly and polite. There were six of us and we all felt that it deserved a review!

Very disappointing our meal was an hour longer coming than stated when I ordered it - we only live 5 miles away. When it came we were a Nan bread short, the food was almost cold, one meal was powdery in texture and the other only had 3 pieces of meat in sauce. Not good value for the money.

Visited the restarant on 15 th Jan 2020 ... overall the food was nice but had to suffer listening to the owner who was working behind the bar telling other members of staff how ill he had been earlier in the day and that he was still feeling terrible ... should he have been at work at all ? He constantly told of his bowel movements in graphic terms and what accidents he had suffered .. I will leave that to your imagination ... lesson to be learnt to the owner ...please dont spoil what is a great restaurant ..think before you speak please for the benefit of your loyal customers

Visited here on Saturday night with a party of 9 including 5 children. Food was very good quality and the service was great too. The only thing stopping this being a 5 was the tiredness of the restaurant as it looked like it hadn’t had a lick of paint or an update for sometime. If you’re just there for the food, this place ticks all the boxes. Every meal we ordered was spot on. 9 well fed tourists.

We had the menu in our holiday home and thought we'd give it a go, so, we ordered various items from the extensive menu, some traditional and classic main courses and some more unusual options. The food was delicious, service was very quick and we got two bottles of cobra and four Onion Bhaji for free (possibly the size of the order). The people who served us were friendly and helpful. The chicken and lamb was tender and more importantly fresh and flavoursome, sauces were authentic and some fresh herbs and vegetables included in the meals gave them lift from the usual masala sauce mains you find in some places. I would definitely eat there again, lovely food. All of the six people said they thoroughly enjoyed the meals.

Over all a very pleasant curry, had a Chicken Tikka Korai, a little sweet for my taste but full of flavour, haven’t been any other Indian restaurants in Boston so hard to comment if this is the best

We stopped at this restaurant on our way home from skeggy to leicester. There was 9 of us all together. We rang and first to see if there was availability as we came in a large group. We got there, our tables were ready. The staff were very kind and polite and we felt very homely. Food was spot on. Good sized portions. I’ve eaten in this restaurant several times but tonight we ordered a delivery to our home address instead of eating out. All I can say is that the food was exactly of restaurant standard, and when we plated up it was fresh, hot and care had been taken with the presentation and sundries. We ordered the set meal for 2 and it is excellent value for money. We are now really full but really satisfied and now know that when we can’t make it to the restaurant for a sit down meal, we can enjoy the authentic taste of India in our own home. Myself, my husband and our twin boys had a meal here this evening. Nothing was to much trouble, very attentive staff and the food was incredible. It wasn’t a long wait for our meal, but was incredibly fresh. We will definitely be returning. Thank you.x

Just been here for the first time in years and must say we are thoroughly impressed. From the first phone call to book (then rearrange as we were running late!) to the final goodbye, the service was absolutely excellent. Really friendly without overdoing it, recommended dishes to our tastes and despite being a full house, our meals came in perfect time. The food was absolutely delicious, I had a starter recommended (can’t remember the name) but it was the personal favourite of the waiter, really tasty. Then a lamb bhuna with lemon rice and garlic & mushroom naan. Meat was so tender it melted in your mouth, naan really soft and tasty, everything was scrumptious! Husband had mixed kebab starter, chicken dupiaza, pilau rice and garlic naan - he really enjoyed everything. Good value, £14.95 for any starter, main, rice and naan on Friday nights. Ken and Neil made a point of coming over and chatting to us after our meal, really friendly guys. Can see why it was so busy, we will definitely be back!

We have eaten here on many occasions and have experienced a number of minor issues, however tonight was unbelievable. Yesterday my husband ordered the Jahangri Karahi chicken as a takeaway meal. He has enjoyed it before but this time it was horribly sweet. I rang to tell them and it was explained that the complaint had been noted and goodbye. I was stunned by this flippant attitude and suggested his attitude would be of interest to more than a few of my colleagues and possibly the press. He said he really didn't care one jot.

We ordered a meal for three people , nothing difficult , was told 1 hour 10 mins which I thought was a long time but accepted it , 1 hour 40 later it arrived after a phonecall to chase , only to get told it was all the drivers fault , they are very busy and don't worry it wont happen next time ????

Had a takeaway delivered from here tonight. The food was way over spiced, the chicken korma in particular being more like a madras. And there was hair (!!??) in the cauliflower bhaji. Definitely will not be eating there again.

We had 3 courses and the whole meal was over in 40 minutes. They seemed desperate to get the table clear for the next sitting. Starters arrived before we finished the popadums. The main arrived at the same time as our starter plates were cleared. As we ate our mains the staff were clearing every dish and serving plate as soon as it was empty so by the end we were sat with an empty table like being at a transport cafe. Maybe it’s better midweek but the obvious rush to get your table back into use was ridiculous and it was not even that busy. No chance to enjoy the meal at all. Only giving it 1 star because there is no zero stars option.

Was on holiday and got recommended to try here. I love Indian food and was very pleased. The different flavours were gorgeous. All dishes tasted so different and tasty. Would definetly go back

Simply the best curry house in Boston.

Visited last week with my Son The food was really good,well presented,well prepared and very tasty. The service was great and food reasonably priced. Definitely will be returning

We moved away from Boston over a year ago but visited yesterday and decided to call in for dinner before driving home. The food was outstanding. The flavours were amazing and tasted fantastic. The service and attention to detail was first class. Well worth the visit. Thank you Ali.

Visited this restaurant many years ago - not impressed. Now, however the management has changed and things are much better! Service is excellent and food is very high quality. The place is small, but they seem to be able to cope with larger groups as well as couples and solo eaters. Prices are fair and portion sizes good. I will be coming here again!

My daughter came over for the weekend and we decided to have an Indian. I ordered the meal and went to collect it. Once I was home, we dished it up and sat down to eat. The meal was delicious. My daughter has had Indian before but not from here. She said it was the best she had tasted. I don’t go anywhere else as the rest don’t compare.

Recently visited here on a trip to Boston and loved the food. The staff were friendly and attentive and it was a very positive experience. My only complaint would be that it was a little expensive. Overall, I would highly recommend.

Every time we go the food and service has been amazing, three years ago we moved 15 miles away and the Bombay Brasserie is still the place we go for a curry. If you want a curry, go to the Bombay Brasserie, simple as....

great little indian restaurant serving good food in clean authentic surroundings. Try the chicken jalfrezi, really good and better than majority out there. Attentive staff and reasonably priced. If in boston again its our 1st port of call.

Had a smashing meal at the Bombay this week. Excellent food, excellent service. Banquet menu not available but still well worth it.

Went there with my boyfriend and we ordered one chicken korma and one chicken tikka masala. Korma should be mild and orange it was spicy and red. Nann bread was nice and i think prices are good for a quality of food

Took a visiting friend. Two noisy drunk young louts spoilt the atmosphere. Bland food, little quantity and burnt nan. My onion Bhaji start just tasted of cooking oil. No spices at all. My friend had a biryani and the veg curry served with it resembled and tasted like tinned vegetable soup.

Very nice Indian restaurant. Great service great food the balti was exceptionally nice as was the beer.

Been there twice now, the food is excellent and the service is very good too. They have an extensive menu and a pretty good drinks menu. We had gone out for a carvery initially but happily found ourselves here. The meat is really high quality and perfectly cooked, the sauces are delicious with really well balanced flavours. Will definitely go again.

First visit in years, always regular as the Star across the road, thought we would give here a go. Starter of chicken tikka was very smoky....and the theme continued that way with the main course too. Was just bizarre, eat at Indian's across the country and also travelled plenty around India and never experienced this smokiness before. Staff were friendly, it is a nice restaurant but the food for us was very disappointing (and unusual), so wouldn't return as it didn't even feel like an Indian meal.

By far the best Indian cuisine I've ever had... service by Ken was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The quality of the food with such little price tag is unbelievable. Will 100% be returning.

My husband and I went for a meal last night after reading the reviews on here and it was great. Food was delicious and the staff were really friendly. Couldn't fault the place. Got talking to the next table who were regulars and go all the time. You won't be disappointed

What an amazing night me and my family had for my dads birthday!!!! They let us bring our own cake for him, waited on us fantastically and the food was beautiful we took our two year old with us and they interacted with him straight away one of the guys even made a napkin bunny hand puppet to entertain him !!!! Could not ask for better service or food !!!! Such a friendly place to be will be telling everyone I know about this restaurant and how great it is !!!!

Haven't been here for a couple of years but ordered a takeaway last weekend and was excellent. Good quality food, piping hot with lots of flavour. Highly recommend the Bombay Jalfrezi dish. Complimentary cobra too!
