Yeah ticked the box. Much the same as every coffee shop of this type, and that’s no bad thing. Can’t remember anything good or bad, just solid coffee better than a macro

A little on the expensive side for food, however you get what you pay for in this location. The coffee is superb and is genuinely some of the nest in liverpool. Nice and casual atmosphere.

I am an American tourist. We came here for coffee because my friend is a coffee expert and he thought it was good. I had the breakfast sandwich and liked it. A cool laid back place that is very busy.

Great, simple but tasty food, attentive staff without being in your face. Good and accurate information on the menu . Quality ,clean, relaxed. And open for breakfast at breakfast time! Their signature Buoy was just what was needed.

Fantastic place to have breakfast ☺️. We came here from the hotel taking a walk and it was worth it. Vegetable milk, in my case almond and a delicious fruit bowl 😋.

Really nice coffee shop, my iced latte could have done with an extra shot of espresso because it was in quite a large cup, however I still really enjoyed it.

Came here for a coffee and was lovely. My only suggestion is to please avoid playing club music on an afternoon - no one was enjoying it and it’s not pleasant having to shout over it.

Coffee is great as always, but I can’t say the same about food :(. It’s always tasteless, for me it seems that it is made without a cook’s soul. I remember I ordered a scramble with salmon and there were only a bread, eggs and a smoked salmon.. nothing else.. no sauce, no decoration, no toppings. they didn’t even spread any butter on a slice of bread… they charged 13£ or 14£ for it

I ordered salmon with scrambled egg and toast and left it. Absolutely revolting the so called scrambled egg was rock hard and had clearly been microwaved. Went somewhere else to eat

Nice coffee and good food but you’ll have to wait a very long time to get it. The servers are polite but waiting 10+min for a coffee when it’s not very busy is annoying

I ordered a coffee, chap at the counter said he’d bring the drink out to me as I was sitting on the cool bench outside. Subsequently, folk came in after me and were squared away with their drinks. Some 15 mins later, I popped back in and asked the chap if he forgot about me. He replied, ‘it’s been busy’. I guess My money meant nowt. I’ll be taking my money elsewhere if you are going to skip my order and serve others ahead of me. Another one for entry into Liverpool’s Green Book 🤷🏿 Thought I’d give them a try again. The Barista blatantly served the blonde white woman first who paid for her coffee after me. Sheepishly, he said when questioned ‘I didn’t know if this was for takeaway or not’ waving a ticket. Dint even apologise. I gave them two years, I’m done. I’ve heard other POC people mention to me they didn’t feel welcome. Costa it is.. Shame, nice coffee.

Great little cafe with great food. It’s not on the menu but they have gf bread which you can swap out for any of the bread options. The staff also had a good understanding of coeliac disease. Overall great experience.

Home of Liverpool’s best breakfast and brunch. BSC Fry was unbelievable and the American Stack was amazing. The coffee is smooth as well, highly recommended.

So disappointed. Over priced. Slow service. Coffee arrived tepid. First bite into breakfast cob and it had a hair in it!! GROSS! Should have gone to McDonald's!

I had an amazing caramely nutty Flat white and a bacon sarnie - as much as I love my bacon crispy there's a fine line between crispy and cremated. Left a burnt aftertaste and was falling out of the sandwich rather than being contained - not good for a takeaway. But otherwise warm, friendly with great decor and photo gallery on the walls which are also for sale.

Quite a special place for breakfast. Stunning English breakfast with great granola parfait. The sandwich is great the coffee is amazing! This is the place to go to for brunch or breakfast. It’s located in a great street to walk on. The serving is quite big so you’ll be stuffed.

Not sure if we arrived on a bad day, it was Friday lunchtime - the food was not cafe level at all. Dry and poorly made. Our server was not interested in facilitating a pleasant experience. Sent one plate back to be remade due to all 3 yolks of the poached eggs for a ‘poached eggs on toast’ order being served hard. When we asked the server about the plate, she replied ‘what do you want then?’ - no suggestion of a replacement or any way to solve the issue, so we suggested if they could make the poached eggs again, which they did and they were great the next time. Quite a weird and not at all positive experience. In addition, The buoy I ordered, which this cafe specialises in, was dry and flavourless, nothing like the posts online I found after. And the cold drink I ordered was served in a plastic cup? If we are ordering to eat in, it’s not good quality service or eco conscious to use plastic for your customers.

What a lovely award winning coffee shop. The staff are great, Sooo friendly.. My full English was fantastic, With everything on it and more..The coffee was great to.. The breakfast menu has so much variety For all tastes.. It gets very busy ,So get in there as early as possible..

I ordered and paid £7.95 for a large, double shot latte and a jam doughnut. The coffee came in a small cup and was definitely not a double shot. Really disappointed, even in such a small cup the flavour was weak. Edit following response. To confirm, when you asked did I want a large cup I responded “a large cup and an extra shot”. I’m sorry your response is so defensive. It just would have been more professional to accept my review and hope to do better next time. I won’t be returning. Obviously the customer doesn’t come first with you.

I consistently enjoy coffee from Bold Street Coffee, and I firmly believe that it stands as one of the finest coffee shops in Liverpool.

Really busy cafe, expect a bit of a queue (no table service, order and pay at the till). Coffee and food is great and served really quickly- I was expecting a long wait given the popularity but the kitchen runs with military efficiency.

Payed £15 for a cold full English which had a hair in it, £3 for a cold, weak tea and £3 for an iced chai latte which just tasted purely of milk. My partner ordered a bold street bad buoy (£12), which came looking like something they’d pulled out of a bin in McDonald’s, and tasted of pure mush. Service was rude and unfriendly and I couldn’t recommend more to stay away tbh. Overpriced and overrated, don’t bother.

This is one of the best places I have been to for breakfast in the UK! I wandered in here on a weekday morning around 10am as it was round the corner from my Air bnb (I was staying in Liverpool for business). Even on a weekday I was surprised how busy it was...but despite that the service I got was really friendly. I ordered a breakfast of blueberry pancakes, hash browns, bacon and eggs. I think it was around £12-14. When it arrived I was so impressed I took a photo! (I know most gram-ers do this but I generally don't) And it tasted so good! The pancakes were light and fluffy and actually tasted of blueberry. The hash browns were the best I've ever had...I don't really like hash browns but I would eat these beauties anytime! Bacon was top quality and they gave proper maple syrup and a really good hot sauce with it! If I had a minor complaint it was that my fried eggs didn't have a totally runny yolk...but that's being mean! If I'm in Liverpool ever again I'm coming back here!

This is my go to place for breakfast whenever I’m in Liverpool for work. I tend to gravitate to the sausage bap and a white Americano but I really should try something else at some point…it’s so yummy though!

Coffee was ok but having no v60 offered because "it takes too long" is a huge red flag for a so called speciality coffee shop.

Coffee was not warm and the donut was a iced bun not worth the calories

The best seasoned breakfast I have had for a while. Scrambled eggs perfect,mushroom lovely avocado 🥑 spot on. Tomato 🍅 fresh as a daisy. We both had the breakfast box i would recommend.🤩 staff where lovely place had a great atmosphere. Will visit again. Toilets available.💙

Bold Street Coffee have good coffee and great food. I hadn't been for a few years, but I really enjoyed my buoy! I went for a spro, a filter and a flat white. Good food, good coffee and a good vibe. There's a range of beans for at home and you should definitely check out the cakes and bakes too.

One of the best coffee shops in Liverpool, loved by many locals and tourists alike. They offer plenty of seating space, so don't worry about not getting any seats. Would absolutely love to go back whenever I'm in town.

Coffee cups were really unclean and staff kinda unenthusiastic. Felt like I could get a nicer experience elsewhere for less money.

OMG the avocado on toast with seeds and chilli sauce is sooo good. Staff very attentive too. Well worth a look. Oh and the coffee is mighty fine too.

Terrible service My partner and I visited expecting there to be some kind of vegan option for lunch. We scanned the digital menu and there wasn’t a single vegan food item. We went for the veggie buoys and request that they make them vegan (as we’d had vegan buoys here before) The waiter came down, put two bouys on the table and says ‘two veggie buoys’. We’re like ‘oh they should be vegan’ and he says ‘actually they won’t be, we’ve run out of the ‘vegan bread’ ‘ (didn’t know vegan bread was so hard to come by 🤔) We request a refund and he takes them back with him. I then ask him ‘so Dyou do anything vegan?’ He thinks and stutters for a while then goes back up to the kitchen with an awkward laugh He comes back. ‘So we do have vegan porridge and things, and we would usually do the vegan buoys...’ Long story short, don’t go here if you’re vegan, unless you just want porridge for lunch I guess

Love this place. The decor's gone downhill though and it's full of yummy yuppy laptop typing antisocial weirdos acting like they're in New York. But I'm one of them and I guess I kind of like the decor, so. Good food, great coffee and decent tunes. Wish there was another floor with additional seating though - but these would probably be taken up just as quickly.

Nice little coffee shop for either socialising or working. The staff here are very friendly and their selection of coffees I would highly recommend. I came in here with my girlfriend and met up with some friends, and it felt very appropriate to do so next to several (presumabley) students working away on their laptops. Very laid-back atmosphere, well suited to Bold Street.

GREAT LITTLE CAFE!! My husband had an appointment in King Street & we had 30 minutes to spare so needed a quick coffee stop. Coming from Wakefield, West Yorkshire, we don’t know this part of Manchester & were directed here by one of the locals. I ordered a bacon sandwich on granary bread & expected nothing out of the ordinary but the sandwich was huge with lots of lovely cooked bacon & just the right amount of tasty ketchup. Staff are friendly & attentive. The one negative is they only offer one size of their coffees. Please add a large size to your menu Bold Street. Would definitely come again!!

Had a coffee and sausage "buoy" which is essentially a sausage sandwich, not sure why the term is used as it confused a bit to be honest. Anyway the food was great and the coffee spot on. Thanks.

I was very excited to see a new cafe in Manchester as I love to explore specialty coffee places. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, however the quality of coffee was very mediocre which doesn’t justify the price point! You could walk within minute to a competitor that charges less for a better coffee. The tables at the front are very tiny so it was difficult to fit laptop for work. I haven’t tried their food, so I cannot comment on that but prices were slightly higher than I would expect so I really hope that’s matched by quality.

I went here last weekend when I had family over, and I’m travelling half an hour to go back this weekend ! The avocado on toast was the best I’ve ever had in Liverpool, and the coffee is delicious too. Very arty vibe as well in the cafe ! If you love art and love reasonably priced, tasty food and coffee then don’t walk, RUN to Bold Street coffee!

Good coffee, great service. Friendly staff, with a wide variety of coffee serves. We didn't have food, but it looked great. The service was quite quick, even when at capacity with a few people waiting for takeaway. Only minor fault is would've preferred the drinks to be served in clean mugs. The coffee mug had coffee stains on the outside, and teapot was stained. Overall, worth visiting for a coffee in a great looking venue, with friendly service.

Friendly staff and nice coffee. However it is pricy, the music was very loud almost 70db and they only serve large coffee's in a take away cup - so I only had a small coffee.
