Came here for my birthday dinner. Great options for vegetarians. Everything tasted very authentic. We ordered the curry puffs, fried shrimp, sticky rice with peanut sauce, mushrooms in batter, peanut curry, spicy eggplant, Basil fried rice and bua loy. They even serve Singha! Will definitely come back.

Ordered the vegetable Tom Yum soup (no protein) to go, and was utterly shocked that for $11.24 I received soup in a container so small it fits into your fingertips. The person who served me was smart - she had me pay first and revealed the soup from behind her back after; had I seen it before paying, I likely would not have taken it. The soup itself was tasty, however done after 5 spoonfuls. Also, the restaurant had a terrible smell at the cash, close the kitchen, like uncleanly. Needless to say, will not be returning.

I order from Bolan Thai through their Google ordering which directed me to the hungry panda app. I was charged 100 dollars and never got my meal. The restaurant says that the Hungry Panda option is a scam but it’s on their business listing. They did not take responsibility and I am out 100 dollars with no food.

My friend suggested we try out Bolan Thai Cuisine for lunch, as we had never been there before and had limited experience with Thai cuisine. The restaurant appeared small from the outside, but it was bustling with customers once we stepped inside. Despite its compact size, the restaurant had a unique design that intrigued us. Once seated, we perused the menu, which offered a wide variety of options. Some of us opted for the Bolan Pad Thai, with one serving including egg and the other without. One of my friends, who tends to be picky about food, thoroughly enjoyed their dish, while another mentioned that the addition of egg made it a bit dry. I decided to try the Pineapple Fried Rice, which exceeded my expectations. Despite expecting it to be greasy, I was pleasantly surprised by how well-balanced and flavorful it was. Although I couldn't quite pinpoint the exact flavors, the dish was delicious. On the beverage front, I ordered the Mango Tango smoothie, which unfortunately fell short of expectations. At $7, it was mediocre and slightly overpriced. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch experience at Bolan Thai Cuisine. However, one improvement I would suggest is repairing the broken tile on the front steps, as it flipped when I stepped on it and nearly caused me to fall.

Delicious, decent portion sizes, average price, just the place smells awful. Nice decor though!

The Panang curry beef (deep fried) with boiled egg is way too rich and gets very sickly. Should have a chicken option available instead.

This place is terrible. I haven’t left a review in a long time. I had to tell you DO NOT ORDER HERE. Just order Pai or any other thai place. This is the worst Thai food period.

We have ordered from here a lot. It used to be good. Now, tonight’s order…..the pad Thai was so spicy it was inedible and the amount of rice given with the large amount of green curry was tiny. Only enough rice for one person. Disappointing.

Their food is absolutely delicious! We tried their fried tofu, spring rolls, and mango salad and they were all so tasty. My friend got their Pad Thai and really liked it, and I had the Khao Soi Gai which was also super yummy! The atmosphere was also nice, i especially enjoyed sitting by all the plants up front. 10/10! I’m excited to come back and try more things off the menu :)

This is the best Thai restaurant in the city. I wish all Thai restaurants put this level of attention into the flavor of their food. If you like spicy food, I highly recommend the Pad Kee Mao.

Had take out from here, pad thai was delicious! Only complaint is that they don’t give enough rice on the side when ordering the curry.

The food here is very tasty and authentic and good value for money. The main caveat is that they are often not open on time and there is no sign on their door with their hours so you have to rely on google for that. One time we waited ten minutes past opening time no sign of any life inside so we left and ate elsewhere and when we walked back 40 minutes later we saw they were open . We went inside to explain our disappointment and no apology or anything. Another man had also been waiting with us so they lost paying customers that day. The bathroom downstairs isn’t the cleanest either. Next time we may just do take out as the food is delicious

The best Thai restaurant in midtown by a mile. Better than Pai and Naguk Eatery.

Where do I start? At first place, I love Thai food (I mean, I love green thai curry 😝). And this place felt like heaven in my mouth. I really love how the after taste was also in my mouth. I would definitely want to go back to experience the food again and again or maybe even get a takeaway. But with regards to service and the staff, I think this needs a bit of work on the eticates because the lady serving us food, gave a small plate for our starters and before we even finished our appetizers, she took away the plate even without asking. These are really small things that need attention cause it's a bit of disrespect on the costumers.

Food is good but not as spectacular as the reviews made it seem to be. I’d say it’s decent. The fried wontons were too oily + chewy and the meat was a little undercooked inside. The fried chicken in my red curry was the same way. Overall the food left my stomach aching and feeling strange. - Service is good, the server is nice but it kind of seemed like she was rushing to get us out when it was only us 2 in there.

I wish we had tried this place sooner! We love the array of choices on the menu. Everything we've tried has been carefully prepared with fresh ingredients. The curry puff appetizer and peanut curry, warm ginger and savoury cashew dishes are our favorites so far. Pay attention to the chili pepper icons on the menu if you don't want something too hot & spicy.

A small place with halal chicken and delicious food.

The food is very tasty, the presentation is a masterpiece, but the water for tea was chlorine-flavored. Please change the kettle for boiling water and water, and it is better to brew leaf tea.

We ordered the pad Thai with chicken, and it was excellent. Not overly saucy, but very flavourful. For an extra kick, get this dish spicy. My colleague wished it was spicier, even mentioned it the next day. Which meant the dish was still on his mind, and that’s a good thing. Will come back here 100%.

The best thai food I've ever had. 100% reccomend. If food could win a Grammy than the food here deserves it. Pretty good service as well. I got the Bolan pad thai and it was amazing.

Very nice atmosphere. I really loved the food. I ordered for one fried rice and Thai curry with jasmine rice. OMG it was soooo yummy. I recommend to try the food atleast once.

Don't come if you're looking to take your time eating🤣 they seemed in a rush to get us out. We were just coming in for quick bite. My first time here, great food, younger lady was super sweet and very attentive. Older lady was also nice but typical Asian mom attitude, eat, enjoy, get out 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Overall, excellent food. Bolan Thai Cuisine is an excellent Thai restaurant with a unique take on their pad Thai noodles. The thin and flavorful noodles, along with great presentation and vibe, make this place a strong contender to PAI.

Khao soi gai - I like curry comes with coconut taste, a bit spicy but not over. Veggie and lime bring fresh to the dish but crispy chip too soft, not fresh, a bit disappointed. Panang curry beef with rice - it looks too dry but actually it doesn’t. Beef is taste and crunchy, interesting dish. Friendly and nice service. Table and seats are clean. Price reasonable. Overall good restaurant.

Great find in midtown Toronto. The menu was good, service great and food delicious. The prices were very reasonable and the four of us all enjoyed our meal. The orders were taken quickly and food delivered quickly too. Not only were our dishes tasty and well presented but they were served piping hot. Dishes included khao soy, pad thai and chicken basil. The cold wrap starter was shared by all 4 of us and was a delicious start to the meal. We would all recommend this restaurant.

Nice cozy space and delicious food!

Was looking for a cozy Thai spot close to my house and saw this place on Google, after reading the reviews I had to try it. I made a reservation the same day which was a Friday night for five people. Service was a little bit slow, it took them about 15 minutes to actually take our order once we sat down. After we ordered it was a solid 25 minute wait for the food but it was SO WORTH IT because the food was absolutely amazing, probably the tastiest and highest quality Thai food I've ever had (and everyone I went with agreed). Our server was super nice and the vibe of the restaurant is very authentic and laid back. The only reason I didn't give five stars and only four is because of the slower service but it seemed like they had a ton of takeout orders which kept them busy. Will definitely come back here and highly recommend if you're looking for amazing Thai food but don't want to mission downtown.

A neighbourhood gem! We tried the green curry and chicken pad thai, both absolutely delicious, super flavourful, well balanced. Can’t wait to come back to try more dishes. The dining room is snug and cozy, with very polite and attentive staff.

Food was good service was great. Just don’t know what it was but the place smelled little strange. Had to ask to change table and still there was this strange bleach type of smell coming from the tables. Just had this giant headache trying to stand the smell, we figured they just went overkill with the cleaning there outside of that a great place for some amazing Thai food.

This hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant has some of the most incredible Thai food we've had in a long time. The food tastes super authentic and delicious, they have a great selection, and portions are great. Don't miss the mango mousse because it will rock your world. Highly recommend!

This place is sooooo good. Had Crispy beef penang curry and it was delicious. The flavor of the curry is on point, not overly salty and right balance of sweet. Much much much better the Pai down the street. Will definitely bring friends here.

I was looking for something different and I never really had Thai food before except for some fast food place and this was exactly what I was looking for. Small quaint little place where the staff are friendly and personable. The combination of curry and if I remember correctly coconut milk was a great sensation for the taste buds. It was so good that I had to go back and it was just as good the second time. I am going to keep going back until I've tried everything on the menu at least once.

Loved the food here. This is simple place with very subtle interiors. The food is good . Ordered the khao pad grow chicken and the green curry. Both the dishes were good. The khao pad is good for one person and the green curry is good for two people if you order extra rice with it. Overall treat their spice level indicated seriously if they write it is spicy it is definitely spicy. There is only one person who serves and manages the front as well but was very polite.

The best Thai in Toronto! We’ve been going there for years, and it’s consistently amazing. The ambiance and decor are nice and cozy. The service is super friendly and prompt, and the food is so good. Fresh ingredients, super flavourful. We had the spring rolls, the pad Thai and the pad sew ew, all of which were so good! We also order takeout and the portions are generous.

It's a tiny restaurant, usually quiet. The food arrives hot, not lukewarm. The presentation is lovely, and I've never been disappointed with the food.

I've eaten at many Thai restaurants around Toronto and Bolan is easily at the top. The Bolan Pad Thai is a 10/10 and I'd recommend that to anyone looking for authentic Thai food in Toronto!

Foods are generally sweet, and compare to other Thai restaurants the flavours aren't authentic. Very good service though, nice cozy place!

Dinner here was amazing! We ordered the Bolan Pad Thai and the original Pad Thai with chicken. The thai iced tea was also a hit!

This is some of the best Thai food I’ve had in Toronto. Everything was enjoyable from the fried wontons, mango salad to the pad Thai and pad kra pao. Service was pleasant. Small restaurant so come early or make a reservation. Wish I lived in the delivery zone.

The food was amazing - I got the Khao Soi and my friend got the fried rice with shrimp! The only reason I removed a star was because the service was quite slow - the place was very busy and there was only 1 main server for everyone there. We were okay to wait but we could tell the tables around us were getting quite agitated. Next, my friend had asked if the shrimp comes with batter on it, and she had asked for it to just be cooked without the batter if possible, and the waitress said that there is no batter, but when it arrived, it was covered in it. She was fine with it regardless, but this was still a bit frustrating. If you’re dining here, just make sure you get that clarification if you have any dietary preference or restrictions :) Additionally, I wasn’t really a huge fan of the thick ginger chunks/strips in the khao soi, as I kept biting into it and it was just too much. Aside from that, over all it was a great experience, a bit of a tight squeeze in the venue so make sure you call ahead if you’re a big group as it may be tricky to get a table. Our waitress was also very lovely and she made our experience really great.

This unassuming gem of a restaurant has become my favourite place for Thai food in the City. The food is always delicious, generous portions, good price, and the staff are so friendly. We make a point to eat here a few times a month. Highly recommend!

I’m so happy I’ve found this restaurant! This is the best Thai food my family and I have ever had. The restaurant is so cute and atmospheric- beautifully decorated. The service was fantastic. We live outside of Toronto and wanted to order more food to take home and the kitchen graciously stayed open late to accommodate. I will definitely be back and recommend this to any Thai food lovers :)

I am not a Thai food aficionado, but I like the place. The food is good and made from scratch. The have Singha beer, Heineken Sapporo beer, as well as cocktails. The location has a rustic charm. The washroom is in the basement. I recommend you give it a try.

Delicious Thai food! We started with mango salad which was freshening and then shared 3 main dishes (red curry, a fried rice dish, and one of thier signature dishes). We were struggling to decide so our server made some suggestions and he did not disappoint. Our food came out quickly and was full of flavour. All in all a great place to eat with friendly servers. Will defintiely be going back to try more dishes!

Wow hands down the best Thai I have had in Toronto. After lots of searching and eating bad Thai I finally had good Pad Thai!! Tried three dishes all were perfect. The spice level was great and fabulous taste. Must visit if you are near midtown Toronto

Delicious food and excellent customer service! We came to Bolan as a party of 4. Two of us got the khao soi which was really delicious, not overly spicy and it had all the right textures - from the crispy fried noodles to the soft noodles inside and meat cooked just right! Our friends were also really happy with their dishes and all of us felt a good quantity of food was served so we walked out full. The restaurant was kept clean, the staff were friendly and the restaurant was not crowded. It is a small place so it might be best to make a reservation if you plan to go on a weekend.

Been coming here for 5 years and it is still by far my favourite Thai place! I live downtown and all of the Thai places have not measured up to this one. The ambience, customer service, and flavour are all 5 stars! I don’t usually leave ratings but I love this place and it has a 4.5 stars? It should definitely be like 4.8 at least. I love the yellow fried rice with crispy chicken. I saw other reviews saying there was a bad smell, I didn’t smell anything. Also the pricing is like 15ish dollars a dish which is average for a restaurant like this. Five outta five.
