Bob and Berts in Craigavon

I've been before and its been OKAAY. Today was definitely substandard. Ordered waffles because there were no pancakes (at 10.30). Waffles were dry, stale and overcooked. Supposed to come with maple syrup (i PAID for maple syrup) but in fact came with golden syrup. Over-priced (considerably) but underperformed- an unpleasant breakfast. Coffee was OK though.

As someone with MS I find it appalling that the same staff member, Katherine I believe she is called, repeatedly leaves me standing for up to 10 mins at a time when it's very clear I have a disability; a woman in her 30s doesn't use a walking stick or crutches just for a bit of craic. I have asked her to serve me on different occasions to not as much as 'I'll be with you in a moment'. It's gotten to the point I leave whomever I'm with to order. I'd had the sum total of one interaction with her before this when she barked at me to help her to fix her necklace. I did, her hair was tangled round it. I'm now at the point that I plan to never return. Oh and, just by the by, its not appropriate to tell your disabled customers to sit upstairs when there are no seats available.

Absolutely dismal customer service during a visit today. I have had no idea ever that Bob & Berts are dog friendly. It's not signposted or displayed anywhere in store. I found this out by encountering a simple man who sat with his two small dogs and encouraged them to wander as far as their extendable leads would take them. This included other tables, customers and of course staff who were feeding the dogs treats from their hands. I have nothing against dogs, but if I wanted to eat with them, I would have stayed at home with my own. When I enquired as to why there were dogs in such close proximity to food, I was cheekily informed that it was 'dog friendly' (I hope for everyone's sake they were flea'd and wormed) and that dog free seating was available upstairs. I informed the staff member that this was unacceptable as my wife is disabled and to ask someone to climb a long flight of stairs in that condition is frankly offensive. The staff member then walked off to retrieve the takeaway containers I had asked for with no further attempt to engage. Charming. Will NOT be back.

Really disappointed with the price of the food vs the portion size. Kids wanted this for their weekly treat and were very disappointed when they got home. £3.25 for a portion of fries is expensive, but when the portion size is so small, it really doesn't give value for money. McDonald's would actually be better value at £1.99 for a large fries, and the portion size would probably be larger. I rang the restaurant thinking they had made a mistake. Got speaking to a B&B employee and she agreed with me the portion sizes had become a lot smaller while the prices had also increased. She also encouraged me to write this review expressing my disappointment, in the hope that the owners would see it and take some notice. As she said that the owners are taking no notice of the complaints that staff are passing on from customers. Definitely won't be back until things improve and the owners stop putting profit before happy customers and staff.

My review is about the delivery service. First time on deliveroo app, good. Food was great. Then it went down hill from there. They had to reimburse me twice for failed deliveries one no receipt of confirmation although delivery confirmed. Then the other late delivery. Then they asked if I could download their app. I did this the first delivery great then the next shop was shut due to electrical fault reimbursed. Then the delivery service went downhill again. Instead of the boxes keeping the breakfast buns nice they wrapped in foil which sticks it altogether and is a total mess and soggy. Now when trying to order delivery the app says shop closed. Disgusted to be honest I have no interest in ordering in the future. They need to get this sorted. And please Bob and Berts no apologies written down because these are just words. Actions speak louder 👍

Brilliant cafe with lovely coffee and snacks. Dog friendly on a whole new level. Staff are always helpful and friendly but Vera is amazing with dogs. She spoils them rotten. Our dogs really enjoy visiting Vera.

Luv this shop but today I paid neatly £5 for a piece of cake that was less than a cm thick. I complained and was told sorry about that. Definitely wasn't worth £2 if I'm being honest.

One of the serving staff went mental with us when we didn't lift a table number. It was like a Faulty Towers sketch. Other diners were embarrassed with the scene she caused.

Ordered from Portadown. Photos speak for themselves. Lettuce is brown and was clearly off days before. Beyond abysmal standard of food.

A poor experience due to the lack of cleanliness and the general appearance of the premises, coupled with poor service, cold coffee and no selection of spreads for my wife’s scone. We are still waiting for some clean cutlery to be provided.

Called in New Years Eve as our regular Portadown haunts were all closed, we had been in a few of these eateries, and always find them over priced, and trying too hard to be trendy, this was no exception, I had Eggs Benedict, the eggs were overdone, the Hollandaise must have been put on by a teaspoon, it barely registered on the eggs, the soda had been deep fried, just plain lazy, and the bacon was greasy and overdone (not ham). Boss had GF French Toast which she said was OK. Biggest problem in the middle of a pandemic was the lack of interest in public safety, only on staff member was wearing a mask, customers were not challenged at all,(most of whom really needed to check their passports to see what age they were too!!) and at least 70% of them were not wearing a mask not good enough, and illegal at the moment, cleanliness wasn't great either. Forget the hipster nonsense and focus on safety

all the staff in bob and berts in portadown are so friendly and very pleasant and nothing is to much trouble the owners of bob and berts should be so proud of them they have just that lovely way with the customers i cant speak for the other restaurants but if they are anywhere near as pleasant and helpful as portadown you will have a fantastic workforce and the food and the coffie is also fantastic thankyou so much to the staff always look forward to calling robert and sandra

We were served by the new start Des, and his customer service was excellent, very friendly and helpful when it came to helping us decide on what to order. Would definitely recommend to all, fast, friendly service and great tasting coffee and tray bakes

Asked for our coffee to be served with our food. Only table available was across from the counter so ordered food and sat down there only to be foundered with the blast from the air conditioning unit. When served with food I asked the staff member if she could possibly turn down or turn off the air condoning if only for 20 mims, she very rudly replied no. I then asked her for our coffee, she walked off went upstairs..we never received them. Food finished and still no coffee. Had to go to counter and ask for a refund for the coffee the girl was very apologetic. Told her what had happened and she said she could have turned air conditioning off!! Don't know who the first member of staff was but she needs to go on a refresher course in customer care, didn't get her name only she was young with frizzy hair...and obviously shy of a hard days work! Get rid of her Bob and berts!

Food is lovely, no table service. Suitable for all public and disabled friendly , food arrived quickly and toilets clean for disabled access.

Really great spot in the centre of Portadown. Good selection of food and decent size space to sit in too!

Ordered American Burger. Came immediately, so not fresh. No toppings on burger, sent back and returned it cold. Bland! Coleslaw missing again from other order. Coffee milky no foam. 3rd chance and fail. Not be back. Avoid!!

Bob and berts is another favourite of ours. Highly recommend a wee visit and try out the French toast or waffles. Great coffee and if you want a large be prepared for exactly that. It’s huge!

Lovely We went out for a quick Sunday Drive and was driving through Portadown and my partner spotted the sign for Artisan Coffee .. So I says pull in and we dandered in and wow very pleasantly surprised .. We ordered Philly steak and coffee...

This was an accidental finding as we were in portadown and looking for lunch. We were enticed by the promise of good coffee and were not disappointed. The staff were friendly, helpful and brought our hot food to the table. It was a bank holiday Monday and moderately busy, but it was calm and a delight to be in.

The coffee is good but one thing I was shocked at was the prices of some of the food. The pork and apple sausage rolls were priced at £4.95, and it was a sausage roll cut in half (possibly 3). I couldn't believe it FOR A SAUAGE ROLL! It's not a bad place but someone obviously needs to take a look at their pricing.

Very good and classy cafe coffee house. Great range of tray bakes, buns and cakes. Nice place to call into during a shopping day out.

I call in to Bob and Bert's in Portadown I order myself a car toasted marshmallow cuppochino and asked for no cream which ok. I paid for what I had order myself the girl processed to make my coffee and had started to put cream on top of it. The second called over to the girl who was making my coffee and said no cream however the girl that was. Makeing coffee quite rudely said well if you domnt have cream you can't have the toppings. I was quite annoyed by the way I was treated. Just because I don't like cream in my coffee. They could have least have put the cream on the side that way it gives people the options to put cream or not to put cream into thier coffee. I hope this doesn't happen again to anyone else.

This is another of those big chains that are sweeping across our country and pushing the little quirky coffee shops with their homemade pastries out of business. There is nothing overly exciting about it. The food is mediocre and tasteless and the cakes, although I haven't tried them, look like they contain food colours and gazallions of calories! The only good thing about this branch; the staff are excellent and friendly.
