Blue's Smokehouse in Bracknell Forest

I had been meaning to try this restaurant for ages and tonight was the night with it being our 16th wedding anniversary and having run out of ideas and having tried just about every other eatery in Bracknell. It sits there in the middle of the refurbished Bracknell like the house in Up. Read a few of the recent reviews and nearly had a change of heart but decided to press ahead and was glad we did! Had a fantastic meal starting with giant onion rings and followed by burgers (chicken for me, beef for my husband). Fantastic cocktails and beers, lovely friendly staff and a very nice atmosphere. Having been out for a few meals recently which felt extremely overpriced and poor value, this stood out as being excellent value for money. I would give 4.5 stars if I could as the only complaint is my husband would have preferred one thicker burger rather than 2 thinner patties, but he is a person who eats a burger with a knife and fork so.... My chicken burger was excellent, in fact after the onion rings (share these if you know whats good for you) I could hardly finish it. I shall definitely return here and am thinking it would be a good place for my son to go with his friends for his birthday.

What could have been a disaster of a night for our team meal out was saved by the excellent customer service provided by Lee. One meal turned up 15 minutes before everyone else’s, then the majority turned up but we were left waiting a further 10 minutes for the last one. Lee was sincere in his apology, and couldn’t do more for us. Once the food finally arrived it was lovely. If I do go back again it will be because of the great service provided by Lee.

Our family group quite liked the chicken, steak and burgers. The brisket, ribs and most of the flagship smokey bbq option (which included pulled pork, belly, sausages) all sounded good on the menu but were all pretty dry or stodgy and not enjoyable and so we ended up leaving most of it. Good onion rings, slaw, corn and fries. Good Service. But I actually had to get my boys a pizza after leaving.

I visited Blues tonight with a friend for dinner. The waitress was attentive at the beginning of our visit taking our orders fairly quickly. The food and drinks were delivered in good time and we received a check back on our meal. The food was good (although not amazing). When the plates were cleared we weren’t asked if we wanted any more drinks or whether we wanted to see the dessert menu. After about 40 minutes of no service we managed to get someone’s attention and we asked for the bill which took 10 minutes to come and was placed on the table. Another 10 minutes went by and we had to get up and ask a member of staff if we could pay the bill. The restaurant wasn’t very busy and there were enough staff working so there was no reason for the lack of service received. Such a shame.

The brisket here used to be lovely. Burnt ends and onion bundles similarly. Last night the brisket was fatty and not of the same quality as it used to be. What a shame if corners have been cut to make savings. Would prefer to pay more and get the best.

Really love this place. It's the second time I've been here, but first time for my son. We shared the challenge platter between us. We were really full when we'd finished, but were recommended the milkshakes by our friendly server faith. We did manage to find room for them though....just.🤣 Great experience will definitely be back again thank you 😊

Quite expensive for the quality that’s not met. Table was sticky, menu is sticky also not updated?? There’s really a lot to work out but Im not coming back nor recommend this place, sadly.

Have to say that standards and accuracy in the kitchen in partcular has really slipped since our last visit! Seeing reviews about delays in getting food led us to make sure to order starters and mains at the same time so to hopefully alleviate that. Unfortunately the starters came at the same time as the mains -- whatever though it overfilled their small tables. Two of our four meals were WRONG, the waitress said she'd put in what we ordered and the kitchen didn't follow instructions. They never checked on which of our group had an Allergy even though when you use their online booking it specifically ask for such details. That could be an Epicfail were somthing served that caused a reaction! Sadly the brisket was dry and only 4 slices for > £20 isn't reasonable when offset with way too much slaw and chips. Speaking of the chips they were covered with some weird cheesy-like drizzle even though the menu didn't disclose it. The waitress did take and resolve all issues which I would say helped though the entire place feels slipshod vs. it's pre-pandemic state we will remove them from our "go to" list as a meal for four > £100 should be better all around.

Had an outstanding lunch. We went for the presidents burger and a mix of wings/ribs/onion rings and the food and service was outstanding. Freshly cooked and full of flavour. Take a short walk away from the standard chains at the lexicon and enjoy!

We were looking forward to coming for breakfast as the place looked really nice at dinner time. However, i would not recommend this place for breakfast, it overall took 1hr 20mins from arriving to leaving, for a simple table of 2, ordering one drink each and one breakfast each, and the place werent even busy. Waiter took 15 mins to ask us for a drink, food took 45 mins to come out. I had a breakfast burger which was just ok, the Mrs had a pancake with brownie pieces and crushed oreo, it was luke warm at best and tasted so dry, and please only order this if nothing can ever be too sickly for you, i thought i could handle sickly well, i had 4 bites and was getting defeated. Disappointing, so maybe just come to this place for dinner, i wouldn't bother with the breakfast again.

Appalling service and ridiculous wait times! Our starter took 30 minutes to arrive, and we were explicitly told to "not order our mains yet, as they will be straight out". We followed our waitress advice and ordered our mains after finishing the starter, and then proceeded to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes with no sign of our food. She couldn't give us a clear answer on whether our food was ready and just not being served to us, as they had a table of 9 and "had to get all their meals out first" or was still waiting to be cooked. All we were told is "we'll keep it fresh for you" - whatever that means! We asked a few more times and were still not given a clear answer on when we would receive our food. After being in the restaurant nearly 2 hours without a main course we decided to leave. The what appeared to be senior person behind the bar didn't care about our situation and made no effort to talk to us, even after being told by our waitress that we were leaving. It is clearly poorly run. The waiting staff have no idea what is happening in the kitchen, and don't know how to look after customers. I watched drinks sit on the bar for over 10 minutes while the staff chatted and cleaned empty tables. A very disappointing evening. You know its bad when you end up leaving because your food doesn't arrive! You're much better off going to Triple BBBs smokehouse in Crowthorne!

Never fails to deliver, always great food and massive portions. We have never yet managed to have a pudding and end up with a take out box as can't eat it all. Highly recommend the brisket and the burgers.

Between us we had various burgers and the ribs all were nicely presented and hot. The service we received when we walked in was excellent she was so bubbly but genuine. This continued when she poured our drinks, took our orders and delivered to our table The deserts where delayed and she couldn’t apologise enough She is definitely an asset to this establishment If we go this way again we would definitely go back Well done
