Great evening great food and great company.

Always delicious food. Staff helpful and attentive and happy to check with the kitchen if food is vegan. Friendly and a great place to go.

Just awful, We spent £48 tonight we ordered several things. Amongst chicken tikka, which was not chicken tikka it was just breast that had not been marinated and burnt to the edges, to make it look like it had been in the oven. No flavour at all. Secondly my partner ordered the chicken tikka masala hot, which she is used to the heat but this was just overly extremely hot. As she said it was burning her lips, couldn’t eat it. And my vindaloo sauce I ordered was full to the brim with gee, in all the places I have been I have never in 30 yrs seen so much oil. I have put pics up for you to see. Never again..

went with a big group yesterday and the service was grand. staff were always making sure we were okay and if we needed anything. the food was very nice and the prices are great if you’re looking for somewhere good and cheap enough to eat out :)

Food was all cold /curry just warm. Rice and mixed kebab starter was cold.. Bajhis aren't crispy but soggy! We actually got takeaway, so service was OK /in time to what it said Waste of £23

Cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. We turned up on a Tuesday evening expecting plenty of room, it was packed. The owner said if we went next door for a drink he would come and fetch us when there was room. 30 minutes later he asked us to come in. It was 'special thali' evening, fixed price for a selection of dishes. It was so good, an excellent way of trying different flavours, and very good value. If we didn't live 300 miles away we would come here time and time again. 5 stars plus.

Just turned up and had to wait 40 minutes for a table. A lovely member of staff came into the pub for us but the wait was so worth while. The food was was everything and more. I can see myself becoming a regular. Fantastic food.

Got the blue tiger box meal with lamb karahi, chicken tikka starter and chips. I highly recommend not to purchase you get half a curry less than half a portion of chips and the chicken tikka was the whites tikka I’ve ever seen couldn’t taste no tikka at all. You save around £1-1.50 getting the box meal over ordering everything separately it’s not worth it at all. The curries however tasted good I also got lamb dabba tagine which also tasted really good.

Experienced disgusting customer service. Came with a group of 8, for a friend’s birthday ordered food got all starters correct. The mains was all wrong so told staff it was wrong to be told it was us that got it wrong. There was no compromise within the situation. The waiter was totally rude and aggressive. We was told to get out, completely humiliated in a restaurant full of people.I have worked all over the world and I have never experienced such rudeness within staff. I will never step foot in the blue tiger restaurant again and my 7 friends will never return. I will not be recommending this restaurant to friends or family.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from the waiters & waitress got our mains order all wrong to be told it was our fault we ordered wrong, sorry but haven’t the waitresses been trained to take orders properly obviously not, the way they spoke to me & my 7 friends was aggressive & disgusting & then to be told to leave in front of a full restaurant which wasn’t our fault, the customer service is zero I will never come here again & will certainly be telling all my family & friends not to come

Ordered a take away at the restaurant for take away for 7 30 pm Told them I would be sat in the adjacent bar At 7 45 asked where it was and it had been with the staff awaiting collection Result meal was ruined. Absolutely cold. We had to re heat throughout. Not good enough. Steve

Probably the best curry I've ever had. I love the specials that bring different cuisines together - highly recommend the lamb daba tagine. Prices are great too. Amazing food that doesn't cost a lot, what more could you want!?

Food was amazing the quality of the chicken is what surprised me and rate it so highly, not chewy no fat good amount. I've been served food before in a pan but never the kind of pan you use at home Tefal non stick lol... Staff were very friendly and the building felt more like home than a curry house. Food speaks for itself very tasty, travelled quite far just to sample the food before the next lockdown so you better hurry up too!

The food, especially the Nan bread is probably the best I've ever had. Staff friendly. Venue well suited.

I ordered food with no dairy. I was sick later that evening. Eventually the restaurant admitted that there was dairy in the food. Restaurant didn’t appear to be concerned or grasp the gravity of the problem.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. Food was incredible- Im married to a British Asian so I know how it should taste- very impressed. All the staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. Food was presented quickly and at the right time. A well run business. Will definitely use again. Thank you - made our weekend away get off to an excellent start!

We've only ever had takeaway but easily the best for Indian in the area. Chicken shashlik is amazing.

Shocking customer service, terrible behaviour towards paying customers. - thanks for the response Jay. Yes, we walked up to the door and yes, we were masked, we just weren't sure where to go, like you pointed out new customer. But the slamming doors and shouting that is NOT because of the unprecedented times we are in, that is basic bad customer sevice. Pity, heard such good things about your establishment. Clearly not a good night, it happens. But the review is fair.

We haven't been in for a while, but we ordered using their app and sat in the pub and had a pint while we waited. The app is brilliant and the food amazing. It won't be so long before we are back again. Support a local business in these trying times, you'll miss them if they went.

It's worth noting that during lockdown Blue Tiger has offered a great service delivering to local customers. Given the £5 per meal cost the quality was exceptional. Anyone that has ever eaten at the Blue Tiger knows the quality but a special mention for the way the restaurant has re designed the interior and the measures now in place. You can enjoy the same great standard but feel extremely safe. A very big well done to all the team and i look forward to my next visit.

In my opinion, when ordering a fish curry, a vital ingredient is actually fish not tomatoes. The meal I had last night should be entitled “tomato curry with a smashing of fish”.

One of the best curries I've had in a long time. Blue tiger curry's are the best.

This was a weekly haunt of mine and my husbands “before all the madness”. We were so excited to go back last night, and they didn’t disappoint. Jay is always a great host but he has really excelled himself with the safety measures him and the team are following, whilst maintaining a great atmosphere. Not an easy thing! The food was absolutely brilliant ... as always. Poppadoms and pickle tray, vegetarian delight to start, lamb Karahi, chaloy malabar (excuse the spelling!!) DELICIOUS! Best mushroom rice around too Thank you Jay and team. We’ll see you next week ... I might even try something different ... although probably not Hahaa

We had visitors arriving last night Friay 13th March and they wanted to eat indian. On Monday 9th March I rang Blue tiger and spoke to a male and booked a table for 4 persons on Friday at 7.30 pm, the gentleman asked if we go for 8 pm as it was busy, I said unfortunately I needed 7.30 pm, he replied ok its booked. We all arrived and went into the restaurant at 7.30 to be told we have no booking for you, I qustioned this and the girl found the booking in for Saturday. The male member of staff became very rude and stated we dont have a table fo you your booking is for Saturday see you then, I replied I did not make the booking for Saturday we are not available to come tommorrow. He was very rude and stated I go by the diary and the diary says you are booked for Saturday. Totally unacepptable customer service.SO my objective in writing this, is to warn people that if you intend to make a booking here make sure you get a receipt with the date and time you have booked and who took the booking so that you do not get a rude arrogant male member of staff accusing you that you have booked the wrong date, not that it might well have been there fault. BE WARNED.

Food is good but for the 3rd time a part of my order was missing and the only help from the restaurant was for me to drive a 16 mile round trip? Not helpful, great shame as the food as said is of good quality

One word of advice please check your take away order before leaving as 3 times now a item missing and the staff offer no help apart from me making a 16 mile round trip to resolve!! Disappointing as the food quality is good.

Looking at the reviews, it looks like the staff were having an off day. One of the waiters was quite rude towards us. The food was delicious so that made up for it but the service was unbelievably slow! Our table was booked at 7:30pm and we didn't get our main course until after 9:00pm. At other restaurants I've usually eaten and paid the bill within an hour and a half. It was disappointing.

It’s not the first time we have been to this warm and welcoming Indian restaurant and it defiantly will not be the last. We went with family and had a fabulous night the food was absolutely amazing. If there could be a bonus there is one it’s attached to a great pub with a very friendly landlord and landlady The Forresters Arms, Honley, Huddersfield HD9 .....The Blue Tiger also has a takeaway service....beautiful too ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fantastic service, managed to get us a table on New Years eve. The lamb karahi is the best i've ever tasted. Absolutely brilliant restaurant.

Ten of us, including two children, had Christmas lunch here yesterday. £35 for starter, main, side dish, rice/naan, dessert and a hot drink. I have to say that we loved it! Couldn’t fault one thing - from the lovely staff to the food to the price, it was great. The portions were ridiculously generous and my lamb curry was the best I’ve had. Thank you to all for a lovely Christmas Day.

Very friendly staff nothing too much bother . We shared a mixed starter all the meat was delicious. The chappatis were soft and fresh. The curry main meals tender chicken and lamb. Would highly recommend it.

Great food, especially starters

Been today for the fourth time with my family including 2 grandchildren and I can honestly say every time has been fantastic . The food is so different to the usual and full of flavour . They even take time to look after the children with drawings to colour in. I would recommend anyone to eat here . Can’t fault it . Thank you so much . Will be back in couple of weeks !

I have visited Blue Tiger many times and never had a bad experience. The food is consistently tasty, and the service is fantastic. My personal favourite is the chicken tikka balti, although I have had others which have also been very tasty. Starters are always plentiful and tasty (lamb chops and pakoras recommended)

I have rarely eaten such good Indian/Bangladeshi food. The service was friendly, efficient and prompt. As my friends and I ate our meal, the takeaway was doing a roaring trade so it’s a really popular place. My lamb shashlik was perfect, you could taste every spice separately, and the pilau rice was beautiful. It was lively but not noisy. I’ll definitely be coming back on my next visit to Yorkshire.

Not a real lover of Indian style food, loved it here though Highly Recommended.

This indian restraunt is partially in the same building as the Forresters public house in honley. A large carpark serves both The Blue Tiger and the pub, the restraunt has a seperate entrance with a small seated area where you can have a drink or go straight to your table. We had booked, always advisable, as this is a very popular Restraunt, my partner had her favourite, shashlic and i had the spicy cohlay malabar, both arrived promptly and were delicious, both with generous portions. Service was prompt and efficient,

Tuesday special, lush as always!

The food was great and I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that some of the food was served in old frying pans where the non-stick coating was actually coming off into the food (no exaggeration). PLEASE invest in some better pans as I don't enjoy eating toxic pan coating!

One of the best indian restaurants i have ever been to. We eat here at least once a month and the food is top quality every single time. the staff are brilliant the service is on point and the prices are very fair. I highly recomend this place

Quite a few of us went and despite this the staff handled the party size very well, food excellent and really can’t say more because I don’t normally do Indian food and it was just ordered and given to me...however it was better than I’ve had anywhere else ...it was very interesting and had huge levels and depths of flavours

Great little place which is half curry house half pub. You can book your meal on the night mist of the time and then wsit in pub in other half to be called for your curry. Pub does a nice pint of Taylors landlord, not as good as the Allied down tne road but that is a pure top beer pub only. Service and staff are good, very friendly and food is top notch. If yer in Honley I recommend you call into Allied pub, then Punch n Judy pubs then up to Blue tiger to finish the evening with a mice pint of Landlord before and a Kingfisher with your curry. Top night!

I had a Tandoori grill but without any tandoori marinade so basically plain grilled meats all drizzled in piri piri sauce and something claimed to be curry sauce but had the look and taste of brown sauce. Round doughy nan. I rate the meal Edible but wouldn't have it again

Called in here for a meal after reading the fantastic reviews. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Very friendly, chilled place. Every dish we had was so fresh and tasty. Highly recommend.

I ordered takeaway from here last night as I needed to get back to the hotel to finish some work. However I wish I'd have stayed and made the most of the thali night which probably could have bumped my review up to 5 stars!

All staff were friendly, efficient and attentive. The food was delicious, well cooked and beautifully presented. The restaurant had a comfortable feel about it with a steady stream of customers who were seamlessly seated so that other diners were not disturbed.

Had the lamb rogan josh with aloo gobi. Outstanding, tender lamb and full of interesting flavours. I usually judge this dish by the Raj Doot in Manchester (since deteriorated) but this beat it hands down. Aloo Gobi brilliant too. Could have had that as a mail dish it was so good. Decor a bit dated but staff very friendly and efficient. Portions very big so took half home and even better the following day. Highly recommended.

I used to judge lamb rogan josh by the Raj Doot (since deteriorated) but the one I had here was outstanding. Tender Lamb and full of different flavours and best for me not a gloopy mess but delicious and dry. Highly recommended.

I've been to the Blue Tiger on many occasions and never found the food or service given by Jay and his team to be anything less than first class ! On this visit i was talked into going for the Hot Curry Challenge by my children. Thankfully my picture isn't on the wall of shame and for anyone who fancies trying it,all i'll say is that there's alot to get through in 30 minutes and funnily enough it's VERY HOT !

Go here pretty often,there is a pub called the foresters where you can have a drink before your seated,once seated the staff are very friendly and accommodating,the food is really nice,some of the best curries I’ve ever had,drinks can still be ordered in your bill from the pub and will be brought to your table,highly recommend

First visit for a long while. Had to book table a week in advance as very busy. Friendly welcoming staff. Because it is attached to a pub the choice of drinks is very good. We only had poppadoms and pickle tray for starters. The mains arrived, I had the Chicken Bangalore Special and my wife had the Chicken Chom Chom Balti. The chicken just melted in your mouth. The meals were very tasty. Well worth a visit, but make sure you book.

Good food, decent service! Nice curry and love the mixed grill main course. The pickle tray is really nice too if you don't fancy a full starter but want something to nibble on whilst you wait for your mains

We decided to book a meal at the blue tiger. We were quickly shown to our table. We guickly orders drinks, and had our order for food taken . The poperdoms and pickle tray, were lovely, with a twist on the lime pickle. The curry’s arrived quickly , the lamb rogan josh was lovely. The chicken dish had plenty of meat in it too. The naan bread had plenty of almonds inside. The staff were helpful, and friendly . We will go back again for another meal .
