Hi i ordered from here last friday evening as i fancied chiense i havent ordered from here since September last year it was so tasty and fresh i tried the beef with mushrooms for the first time it was so nice beef was so tender i will definitely be ordered this again i would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family

I normally never been disappointed with this place for years friends have said not to order from there but I didn’t listen wish I did they got my order wrong and not only did they get it wrong I waited over a hour for my food and I live less then a mile very bad from how it was before

Fantastic dining! My friends and I each ordered different items (i went for the sweet and sour chicken balls with spring rolls and chips). Everyones food was amazing, delivered very quickly! Absolutely recommend!

This Chinese Take away is and absolute dream, the chips are lovely cooked fresh to order, sweet sour chicken balls and the chicken with bean sprouts can’t fault it.

I wouldn’t really recommend this place.. for a curry anyway. Had a king prawn curry, the texture was so thick and it just didn’t have any quality.

Ordered crispy shredded beef which was soggy and tasted horrible. Also the salt and pepper chicken was bland and chewy. Chow Mein was pretty good though.

This takeaway is much like several other takeaways in Cardiff. The staff / family owners are very friendly. The establishment is always very clean. However the menu is a throwback to 1980s fare. The veggie options are v limited. No tofu / meat alternatives. Indeed, even the vegetable dishes are lacking in vegetables! A few tinned items (the usual bamboo shoots etc), but very little that's fresh. Things have moved on and our expectations are greater now. It wouldn't be unreasonable to expect a bit of green thrown in - asparagus / broccoli / pak choi? As such the prices are quite high for what it actually offers. Needs an update.

Good food, however food arrived late with no update on delivery time from the restaurant until I phoned them. Was delivered 25 minutes late in the end.

Never has Blue Star ever failed us, and at such a busy time of year to deliver such a fantastic Christmas Eve meal we can only applaud them for the hard work they put in to their food. Can't wait to order again in the new year!

Delivery was half hour late. Food was warm, have had nice from elsewhere so probably wouldn't order again. But that's just our taste. Was nothing wrong with it as such.

This is the third time I've used this place, first 2 were average and only used as it's cheaper than other chinese takeaways, and close by. My food delivered last night was almost cold and extremely bland. There was almost no flavour to it at all, I had mushroom chow mein and salt and pepper crispy chicken which was like batter bits - where's the chicken? The mushroom chow mein was just wet noodles with what seemed to be tinned mushrooms just thrown in at the end, no flavour. The pancake roll had nothing but beanshoots in it, veg? Prawns? It also had no flavour and was just lukewarm and wet. A lot more effort needs to be made here. I won't be going here again, sorry but needs to be said, I paid £15 for food that was very disappointing.

Good food would never use any one else

Had their special fried rice which had lots of chicken and pork on top and full of prawns. Lemon chicken was the star of the show though !

Have ordered from blue star many times using Just eat. The food is always great and the just eat app is very easy to use.

Though the restaurant put in a later delivery time, they were earlier than the suggested delivery in Just Eat, the food was piping hot and very tasty. Will be ordering from there again.

Never have a problem with blue star always hot and always fresh and its run by a lovely lady, first ever problem was last night and I've ordered for years from here delivery time was an hour, but it's always an excellent place and I would highly recommend this take away to anyone

They forgot my prawn crackers i phoned they said they rush them 10 mins just under an hour later they turn up. Bbq ribs nasty didnt even taste like bbq never ordering there again.

Was a bit dry and the curry sauce seemed to be quite gloopy and thick. For the value for money I proberbly won't order again

The spring roll was literally so soggy and disintegrating when it arrived. Everything else was lovely but that was just horrendous and even the interior of it was bland and disgusting

Lovely as always and good portion sizes too. The pancake roll was very greasy though and soggy on one side where it had been resting in the tray (could probably do with being drained on some kitchen paper or similar before it goes on the container), still tasted lovely though. Is it me or are the bags of prawn crackers getting smaller...? Would definitely recommend and will certainly order from there again.
