Blas Burgerworks in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Have been coming here for years with my family, but haven’t been able to come since Covid. Can happily say that Blas still serves the best burgers in the world. We will forever be Blas’ biggest fans! My boyfriend and I have booked to come again this weekend because it’s just THAT good! 🫶 I highly recommend the Chorizo burger 🍔

Simply the best burger restaurant I have found. Locally sourced, ethical fresh ingredients cooked to perfection. The mains are hearty but always manages to surprise with new taste combinations. The seating area is small and rustic using recycled furniture with an amazing casual atmosphere. It's gourmet burgers but not posh or pretentious. The puddings are simple but stunning as well. This place is popular in holiday times so best book ahead. Its worth it.

Last minute call at 4pm came up trumps for a table at 5pm. Lucky as!!! All the years we've been going to St Ives never ever managed to get a table !! Lovely Intimate little place with a bit of an open kitchen vibe going on. You go for the Burgers right but the Rotisserie Chicken was next level and the Gravy omg the gravy 😱. Right now down to business. Burgers. I had the Chimi Choz and my son had the Truffle. Beef patty was medium full of juicy goodness Brioche bun fresh and crisp all the add ons Chorizo Chimi Churi Aioli for the Chimi Choz were superb and the Mushrooms Blue Cheese Spinach and Truffle mayo on the Truffle looked awesome. Fries were skin on and proper tasty just not enough of em 😭 Great Food Great Service Great Place BLAS THE place for a Burger, don't go anywhere else if you "fancy a burger"

Absolutely the best burgers anywhere, lovely decor, great soundtrack and really friendly and efficient service, can't wait for the next trip to St Ives to return to Blas again

As someone who can have only small portions, what a refreshing and thoughtful experience to have been offered any of the burgers in a smaller size! Great service. Love the fact that prices of the burgers include chips too. Such good value for money and really tasty food.

There are burgers & then there are Blas burgers. If you want real food, locally sourced, well prepared & delivered then this is the place for you. Great range of meaty, veggie & vegan burger options with nothing ultra processed in sight. I had a fab black bean burger with salad & coleslaw sides. Just perfect. We'll certainly be back😊

Everything I was informed it would be, excellent cheese burger, lovely simple decor, attentive and charming service and a great soundtrack to go with it, I will definitely return 😁

We ended up here by chance. We were given a seat at the large table and were served in a friendly manner. The truffle burger was great. The service was very friendly! It's a shame we live so far away.

This is THE burger place to go to in St ives! Amazing range, also caters for vegetarians, vegans, and had child friendly portions. The burgers are huge and so packed with fillings that it's impossible to eat one without getting very messy! But it is competitive worth it. Prices might be a little higher than you are used to but you are paying for freshness and quality. Highly rated, don't miss out!

Still the best veggie burger I’ve ever had! Really delicious food, high quality ingredients with a lovely atmosphere and friendly service. My husband loved his beef burger too, and the starters we had (tortillas with home made dips and chicken dippers) were so nice. Quality justifies the price.

Omg the garlic chicken, fries and southern gravy is amazing, been twice on our weeks stay at st Ives best food we’ve had down here and staff are lovely highly recommend

Really solid. Burgers were great, loads of vegetarian options too. Would fully recommend booking in advance if you want to eat in as it's a tiny little place but agree with a lot of the other reviews, food was excellent, staff were friendly. Quite expensive for a burger I'd say but no complaints about the food. Be aware it's not toddler friendly in the sense that there no room for prams or high chairs, but they're happy to have you all the same and do have kids options, although they're honestly not much smaller than the adult portions really.

Great service, high quality burgers, chips and accompaniments - all 8 members of the family really enjoyed their meals. I’ve seen reviews saying they’re pricey - I’d say you pay for what you eat - the prices are advertised - don’t go if you don’t want to pay the money

Tiny place but massive food based on flavour

Weirdly, my review is about the Rotisserie Chicken we just had ad takeaway from Blas Burgerworks in St. Ives. Was ready earlier than my requested time slot (nb, I may have been lucky). The Chook itself was glorious! Accompanied by the Cornish Chips, Coleslaw and Gravy. What. A. Meal!! If you do anything else in St. Ives, give these guys a look - absolutely awesome!!!

Lovely burgers, great vibe and location but a smidge pricy for the meal. We were able to dine in after booking in advance. Essential as it’s a small place that doesn’t have many tables and does takeaway mainly. The service was great and the kitchen looked immaculately clean. Tortilla chips with three dips (guacanole which is made using courgette instead of avocado, chilli and smoked sweetcorn) were delicious. The children enjoyed their lovely juicy burgers which were very reasonably priced. We had the burgers with chimichurri etc with chips which were really tasty and clearly made from high quality meat but the only point I would make is that £18+ for a burger with chips is quite pricy once you add drinks etc. Still, it was a very yummy meal! And I scoffed the lot 🤣

This is a smal but fab burger restaurant. We visited as a large group of 9 with teens tjrough tontoddlers and it suited us all. Tasty food and lovely service.

Best burgers I've ever had, definitely go if you are nearby

Good quality, local ingrediants have always been a feature of this small burger restaurant and it really shows. Our burgers were just so juicy and tasty accompanied by perfectly cooked chips. A gf bun was available which was equally tasty and for dessert we tried the gf brownie with moomaid icecream which was rich, gooey and just devine. Special mention to. the Guacanole’ which was made without avocado and tasted beuatifully fresh and spicy. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. No trip to St Ives would be complete without eating here. Stonking.

A burger where you can really taste the beef! Great fries too. Only complaint is that the burgers are quite thick and we like ours thin but only nitpicking really. Service is friendly too.

& then we wonder why inflation is as it is just paid the equilvalent of £16.50 for a pint of larger, to be told by one of the memebers of staff "well you didn't need to buy it was your choice" So much for supporting local business whenon holiday

Phenomenal was our experience! We found this beautiful and intimate restaurant just as we were about to leave and it caught us completely off guard. Their menu selection was like nothing we had ever seen before, with such an abstract array of burgers. I had the daily special which was extraordinary and my girlfriend had the mojo burger, vegetarian style and we can both happily say that these were the best burgers we’ve ever had in our lives, not to mention the perfectly cooked skin on chips. All in all 5/5 would definitely recommend and would happily eat again!

Quite probably the best burger I've ever had! I booked the wrong week, but they still accommodated me no questions asked (probably not an easy thing to commit to with the space they have), and were still professional and kind throughout. Absolutely above and beyond my expectations.

Went back for the first time in five years as never seem to catch it open due to seasonal closures. Remember it being great but wasn’t over impressed this time. Service was very efficient but had a better burger the night before in the nearby Pedn Olva where I’m staying. They managed to sneak a £2.50 charge on me for a tiny pot of mayo as well which irked me. It tasted like Hellmans to me but they’ve rebadged it as “Garlic aioli” 🙄 Come on guys, could do a bit better I feel with that one.

Great to see Blas operating as a dine in again. Their food is sensational. I had the deluxe beef which comes with corn salsa, chilli relish and guacaNOle (which was a seriously good alternative to avocado ) The quality of the beef and the flavours are incredible. I cannot think of anywhere that does burgers as good as this. And every burger is available as beef chicken or bean so everyone is happy. Sides are excellent too - especially the slaw. Highly recommend this place.

We have had both a takeaway and dined in at Blas in the past, along with their burger boxes, available for delivery. Small but perfectly formed- you simply cannot leave St.Ives without paying Blas a visit. Incredible food, and deserves all the credit it gets.

We ordered the rotisserie chicken with the garlic butter bomb, side veg and 2 salads. The chicken was moist and so so tasty. The veg and side salads were also delicious. Plenty of food to cover dinner and left overs for lunch the next day.

If you're a family of four get 1 chicken, 2 chips, 2 salads, 2 gravy. All of the food is great but speaking as a salad-dodger, the salads are fantastic.

Coming from London where there's unlimited choice when it comes to great burgers, this place is below average and far too expensive at £15 for a cheeseburger (takeaway, not even eating in). Clearly trying to fleece tourists. The basics: tomato was cut so thick and had the core in the middle. It was freezing cold, as was the lettuce. This is just sloppy and lazy. Ditto the massive chunk of onion on top. Oh if you want caramelised onions it's an extra £2, which is outrageous. Aioli didn't taste of garlic at all. Blue cheese or cheddar the only choice of cheese. Just offer standard sliced burger cheese, nothing else comes close. Bun was acceptable. The Patty: well seasoned, but too thick so the middle was cold as a result. Outside didn't have the desired char and caramelistion you'd want. They'd be better off making 2 smaller patties to get more char and juiciness. Chips were really nice and well seasoned. These guys don't really have a clue when it comes to burgers and should go back to the drawing board.
