Blackwater Bistro in Maldon

6 of us Let down at another pub for Sunday Roast, phoned late on the bank holiday Sunday and was greeted with a very helpful person who said if we got there by 3.30, he would fit us in. We arrived to a very busy bar and restaurant area, the staff were lovely and helpful. We sat outside after ordering as inside was packed out. Enjoying our drink and waiting for our food, it started to rain, so they moved us under cover and then just before the food they found us seating inside. The food Stunning! Cooked to perfection, the best beef roast I have ever had in a restaurant All 6 of us agreed It wasn’t expensive either 2 courses and a drink worked out at just over £22 per head Well done chef and bar staff you were amazing, we will definitely be back

I rang up to ask about fitting in a large group in and they were very accommodating. Set table up in the bar which we asked for. Lady behind the bar was lovely and welcoming. We ordered our food with a man and all the food came out looking amazing and tasted amazing. But one thing let them down. We asked about 3 of the same side with our Oder. Only one came out and the man said we only ordered one. We did order 3 but it wasn’t too much of a problem and was going to ask for 2 more of the same side, but the man serving us became very argumentative. Saying he took the order he should know and adamant we only ordered one. He seemed to be fairly angry about it. We then told the man it doesn’t matter we will make do. We were very shocked with how he became confrontational over it. As much as the food was lovely, this has put us off a bit. Can’t fault the ladies in the bar, they were lovely.

Good stafff we all have a laugh with everybody we always get a table these usely about ten of us we try and go once a week

We visited the blackwater bistro with my wife my son and his family for a birthday celebration dinner the food was prepared presented and served by the chef and owner it was fresh and very tasty they looked after us very well the barman called bandit also looked after us and the service was great good value for money tasty fresh food Thankyou

I have dined here with friends and family over the last few months a few times, I can honestly say the food is amazing. Steak cooked to perfection. Fish and chips delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend a visit.

Lovely restaurant found at the end of a long dog walk along the estuary. I would recommend this as a dog walk! We came across this place on Google maps - although Google takes you to the wrong place! Luckily we could check the images in this website to locate the restaurant. Very friendly staff and excellent food prices. The food was also very tasty. There is a large beer garden, terrace and indoor area. Dogs are allowed in all sections. I would visit again!

Despite the heat and difficult circumstances the night we ate here due to staff and family illness, we were served a lovely meal - the owner did everything he could to cater for us. It is in a lovely spot overlooking the river.

Omelette and gammon steak was chosen. Well cooked , fair price. Dogs welcome. Nice , welcoming place

Absolutely the best food the beef melted in your mouth gravy to die for worth every penny and the cost was brilliant atmosphere so lovely and staff could not do enough worth travelling a hour away to eat there will definitely be going back

Lovely place to eat owner is always welcoming. Food is great and the price is so reasonable for the potion size. Eat in here most weekends. The Sunday roast is definitely a yes from me

Excellent food and fantastic service, we went both Saturday night and Sunday luch. Amazing sunday roast dinner, lovely hot vegetables and good portions. The fish on the Saturday night was really fresh and thoroughly enjoyable. Would highly recommend

Really pleased to have found this little gem. Good food, lovely service and good value for money. And the location right on the river is a bonus!

Firstly the restaurant was empty, so I should have taken that as the first red flag. However me and my friend came for a nice lunch to support the local businesses. After we had ordered, the owner was incredibly rude and yelled at us for laughing, completely unprovoked. He claimed that we were taking the piss, however he did not know the context of our conversation, so his assumption was very much wrong. We left the place without even eating and I certainly would NOT attend this place again and would not recommend that anyone does unless they want abuse.

10/10 Every time we visit. Staff and owner Keith are super friendly and welcoming. Good selection on the menu for food and a good selection of Alcohol including brilliant draft beers! Food always Pukka. Looking forward to spending the summer at this lovely spot. - The boat people

Came with family on a Sunday afternoon - our first visit. Was a little apprehensive when we sat down however we were not disappointed. The outdoor seating area looks directly over the water, somewhere that will be beautiful in the summer sunshine. Food was excellent, even if the spelling on the menu is something to be desired! Keith and the staff were all very lovely too.

Went here with my husband and two friends,our first meal out in over a year,and we wasn’t disappointed. The meal was great . I had gammon wich was really nice and it came with fresh pineapple not tinned which is a first for me. The burgers were very good also chargrilled chicken which my friend said was the best she had ever tasted .

A lovely Sunday lunch with friends. A great Roast dinner and delicious Chocolate mousse with excellent wine and service.

A lovely restaurant right by the sea....We have visited a number of times, as a family and with friends, the service is spot on everytime... very reasonably priced with a great variety on the menu...Piper and Tia, the 2 lovely girls in the restaurant always give fab service with a warm welcoming smile, the manager comes out (when his obviously now washed of his feet) to greet, chit chat and make sure we are happy with our meal most times too which I think is such a lovely personal touch...Always our first choice when we plan to eat out ♥️

Menu was very limited and as we was with 3 children who did not want the select menu they had. The manager said he could cook burgers or spaghetti from the old menu if we wanted that but did not listen to the order correctly as they was both plain burgers but when coming out (no exaggeration) 2mins after ordering with cheese, lettuce and sauce on we explained we wanted them plain for the kids to which we met condescending comments about what was put into the patty. It really made the meal awkward. The food was okay not cooked to any of our preferences though- I ordered a steak medium which come out pink and chewy (less cooked than rare), kids burger was pink and bleediny. Wont be going again. Could be a decent restaurant with better management and service.

It was my 30th birthday and My hubby arranged a meal here. It was a Sunday night and they were ment to be closed but they opened for the occasion.It was a party of 13 including 2 young children and we pre-ordered our meals from a choice of the bar menu and Sunday roasts. They allowed us to bring decorations and cake and they provided some light background music and excellent service and amazing food!! The staff were lovely and even encouraged us to stay longer and go in the bar after dinner. Definitely recommend x

I am so proud to live in Mayland. Lockdown has brought with it a renewed appreciation of the area that I live in. Keith and Sandra have been running this pub and restaurant for a number of years now - but this year they have really become part of the make up of this village. In the 60s and 70s it was a sleepy holiday village..... and that holiday experience has returned - in part thanks to them.Keith very graciously lets us use his car park while we kayak and paddle board from the small shoreline next to the pub garden. The kids play there and around the garden tables while the adults drink or eat. The food is REALLY good, the atmosphere is really friendly. Keith and Sandra are very sociable (when they’re not cooking). I feel very grateful that we have somewhere to go that’s as good as this.Oh and if you like a good sunset - have a drink and watch it from the pub garden.

Was part of a family group that had hired out the whole bistro for socially distanced celebration of a wedding.Keith you certainly know how to make people happy. Nothing was too much and we had 2 dedicated staff and own bar and till.The food was pre ordered but Keith was accommodating and managed to change a couple of orders.Food was simple and comments from others was I wish I had ordered that. My fish and chips were delicious.The location of the bistro overlooks the creek and there is plenty of room to wander. Keith also organised some brilliant weather which made for some great pictures of the sunset. If you were blindfolded and placed at the location you would have thought that you were in a Greek fishing village.The 2 young ladies that served us were excellent.I can highly recommend the bistro and would like to thank Keith and his crew for a fantastic evening.

At the last minute due to Covid-19 we decided to hold our wedding reception at the Black Water Bistro, Keith and his team did us proud with very little notice. Nothing was too much for them, the food was fantastic the girls kept the drinks flowing and we had the best afternoon and evening ever. I would highly recommend the bistro for all events as everything was taken care of and all we had to do was enjoy our day. The feedback from our guests regarding the food was fantastic most had fish and chips or pie and mash and everyone enjoyed the laid back setting. Decided to call in for a drink last week on the recommendation from friends, found a table on the green and got our drinks, the owner came over and introduced himself and showed my husband around the restaurant. Have been back 3 times since, and yesterday came with all the family for lunchtime food for my birthday, we had lamb burgers, chicken, prawn pasta and kids meals, the burgers were delicious home made and huge, my daughter said her pasta was freshly made. Couldn’t manage deserts but we had a lovely afternoon. Beautiful views of the Blackwater river, can def recommend this lovely little place, am going to enquire about having my husbands birthday here in December.

The food was incredible we had fresh battered fish n chips portions were awesome! Fantastic friendly service with stunning views. Absolutely recommned to either book as a function (when ya can) or just a meal out. You will not be disappointed with the quality of food and service.

Moored the boat and looked for a place to eat - and how lucky were we! As vegetarians it’s not always easy but our food was cooked for us specially and was one of the best meals we have ever been presented with in a restaurant. No deliveries of chilled food cross this threshold. Everything is made in house. Fantastic.

We live in the village but never actually eaten here (only been for a drink and the staff are lovely). Went today for Sunday lunch and, WOW!!!! the food is out of this world. Highly recommend the children’s nuggets (home made, fresh, REAL chicken in the most amazing batter) and the adults sausage and mash with red onion gravy. Family of 5, all different meals and everyone of them exceptional. Thank you Blackwater Bar and Bistro. We will definitely be eaten more regularly here. All food fresh (not frozen and reheated) and such reasonable prices. Can not recommend highly enough.

I have been here quite few times and each time - there is a large dark-haired MISERABLE lady who literally ruins our visit. We have to tread on eggs shells with her. She makes mistakes, blames it on us, gives us evils and is 'nice' to other customers. Everything is an effort with her. stinking attitude. We also see other customers 'roll their eyes' after she serves them. The owner and his wife are very nice and there are no issues there. Shame that one MISERABLE lady can ruin a great little eatery.

Very nice home made lamb burger and chips. Good portions. Pleasant friendly staff. Also nice location near sea wall walk.

Went here today with 4 friends and was not disappointed. Kieth is so accommodating and friendly. We all had different meals and we were all satisfied. One friend said it was the best meal she had ever had. Lovely portions and not overpriced, love this place.

The Blackwater bar and Bistro is total value for money. Superb food at a fair price. Keith is an experienced proper chef, you will not be disappointed. An excellent restaurant attached to a friendly local bar. Unfortunately, I only get to go when I visit my friend, as I live in the south coast but whenever I visit, it's a must! Totally recommended.

Had a fabulous meal of fish and chips which was served up fresh , huge portions , homemade chips was great a lovely non greasy beerbatted cod too recommend anyone to try, you won't be disappointed!

We sometimes pop into the Bistro in Mayland for a quick bite to eat, this time we had a quick lunch before heading off to pick our daughter up from school. The carbonara was great, tasty and definitely fresh. Portion sizes were perfect, I had the chicken and bacon salad which was had plenty of chicken and bacon and a garlic bread with cheese as a side. I must say this was one of our best visits here and we very much enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Great staff and great service make it a fantastic quick stop for lunch. Pie mash a liquor night. Fantastic home made pies mash and liquor with chilli vinegar. The best comfort food ever invented Thank you and don’t stop making it!

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and although the menu was limited we gave it a go. I had mushroom soup homemade and excellent. My wife and sister had pate. It went wrong when we ordered the roast beef. It came out nearly raw and the potatoes were average at best. We then noticed the table next to us, who were known to chef got a different choice of starter and were asked how they would like their roast beef. It would have been nice if we had the same service. We will not be back.

Stopped by on our dog walk today for lunch. Second time here and just as good this time as the first. Excellent service, beautiful view, friendly staff and proper homemade chips like my mum used to make. They were also able to accommodate my daughter with a vegan friendly burger. Looking forward to going back again.

We had a meal tonight in this little gem of a place, hidden away on the estuary. The food was superb, all freshly cooked, & presentation excellent. We have been using the bar through this summer, lovely setting right on the river, bouncy castle for the kids in garden, bar good if you want, but the restaurant is a must, excellent, & def using again. This place never lets me down. My friends came to visit , so we went to the Bistro. Keith mentioned they had fresh crab on the menu, it was served with a wonderful salad and so fresh.Just love the chips there so had to have some. Service and friendliness here is wonderful.

We traveled from Chelmsford to visit this place, we had a recommendation about the pie and mash and coming from East London I needed to try it.

Keith & Sandra are very welcoming, we had a lovely dinner cooked by Keith who came out to describe the meal to me as i had not tried the dish before, i loved it ! the food is tasty & very well presented. The bonus here is where the restaurant is positioned, beside the river, we saw a beautiful sunset. Highly recommend a visit here, even if its just for a cold beer in the garden over looking the river

Very friendly staff. Welcoming and took time to chat without being overly keen. I never order steak as it never comes out as I ask but the chef assured me he'd cook it well and he did. Best steak I've ever had. Will order again without hesitation. The peppercorn sauce is beautiful. Homemade chips. Couldn't fault anything.

Often have drinks in here and have dined here twice for special occasions - Sandra and Kevin are extremely friendly and always say hello when you walk in. They made extra effort to accommodate me being gluten free and it was lovely to see the restaurant busy this weekend.

Very welcoming staff. They could not have been more helpful or attentive to accommodate my elderly parents & the rest of the party. They ensured the meal was served promptly as one of our guests had to leave to catch a flight, Ryanair changed the flight time!! The food was delicious and they even produced apple pie & custard with a candle for my father.

Popped in for a quick lunch & both chose scampi & chips. Wow! Homemade chips, perfectly cooked scampi with a nicely dressed salad and so reasonable - we will certainly be returning and have recommended to friends. Also staff were delightful, what a find!

A survey of an historic ship finished, dropped in for a sandwich and found one of the best beer battered haddock and chips I have had for a long time. It actually melted in the mouth - Owner's recommendation and he was quite right. Chips weren't half bad either.

I have been here twice now for a meal and I have not been disappointed. Everything is fresh and homemade. Also proper chips , I was very impressed . Friendly service and willing to help for anything extra. Reasonably priced too.

My wife, son and I went to Mayland for a nose around and maybe a meal. We found the Blackwater Bar & Bistro. The actual building looks a bit industrial but don't let that put you off. The meal at the Bistro was fantastic, all three courses, all three of us relished our different choices. We never have the same choice, if possible, when we are out! I wouldn't class myself as a great gourmand but really we so enjoyed everything! We chose a table where we could look out over the river and watch the sun go down, brilliant!

We drove here on a surprise birthday party . little hard to find if you are not a local , But once found never forgotten, We parked on the right in a small car park but i do believe they have one other car park on the other side , Out side large televison was playing sports and inside was lovely with good range of beers and wines . I can't say to much about the food because we had birthday food on the side but i will be back for a sit down meal , Really nice place for all young and old

Last came her in October and as we were returning to the area again could not miss the opportunity to revisit again the staff were outstanding and then lunch was really nice and very good value.we haves large dog that was allowed in and he too was made very welcome.WELL DONE to all for your consistency in service and value when we are next in the area we shall return and if you are in the area and reading this review I highly recommend you try this gem.good staff food food good drinks and good views.

Wonderful, beautifully created and presented meals to suit 4 people's individual tastes (including two difficult vegetarians!!) We would like to give a huge thanks to Sandra and Keith for all their kindness and support in providing the beautiful buffet and impromptu dinner for 23, for dads final send off yesterday. You worked incredibly hard all day in order to make our saddest days so much easier to bear and for that we are eternally grateful. X x

Sandra and Keith were so kind and thoughtful in helping the family and friends say goodbye to our dad. Everything about yesterday at the Blackwater Bistro was done to a high standard and with care and compassion.The food was excellent and in fact a large number of the family decided later on to even have our evening meal there which was lovely too.Both Sandra and Keith and the staff really did bend over backwards to accommodate our wishes and it was appreciated.We are really lucky to have them and this Bistro/bar in the village of Mayland.

Ten of us for Christmas dinner, Keith and Sandra produced wonderful meals, a brilliant day. They catered for differing dietary requirements without batting an eyelid. A great time was had by all.

We have eaten at the Blackwater Bistro on several occasions and each time we have tried something different and each time we have been highly impressed with the quality and presentation of the food. Whether it be homemade burger and chips, sausage n mash, fish n chips or a roastie, you cannot fault a thing, it's all delicious and cooked to perfection. It's a bit out of the way, but well worth the trek.

fantastic food Keith never disappoints, I dined there quite often it's a really lovely place to sit while away a few hours, looking at the river and being fed and watered "what a life" sorry I forgot to mention the staff, who are without doubt who are brilliant

We had our 50th wedding anniversary, 18 people sat down for a 3 course meal. The service and the food was excellent. Although I'm a fairly regular visitor to the Bistro. This is the first time we have dined off the evening menu in the restaurant. Ten family members gathered for my wife's birthday, four of them children. The food, from the sea bass to the steak and not forgetting the lamb which my wife and I had was a nice as any meal that I have had in many a year.My stepdaughter told me that the previous weekend four of them had dined in London and the bill came to £1200.00, that did include a few bottles of wine.!! But she said the food at the Bistro was better.Don't think I can really top that. Thank you Keith, Sandra and Staff for a wonderful evening.

After exploring the marina and a couple of boats we decided to stop in the welcoming outside area of this bar/cafe/restaurant (as it seems to cover all aspects). Although not intending to have an actual lunch the great idea of having smaller versions of some dishes swayed us and the chicken and bacon salad was not only more than enough but was really tasty, well prepared and fresh. The owner (we presume) was very friendly and there were other customers coming and going which for a Tuesday lunchtime out of the holiday season in a slightly off the beaten track village was a welcome sight.In fact the only downside was the work still in progress to tidy up the end of the seating area outside and overlooking the paraphernalia of the working boatyard it adjoins. To reinforce the positive - it was a glorious day, sunshine with a slight breeze to cool the high temperature, smooth fm piped through to the patio area and looking across the Blackwater as a backdrop...excellent !

Attended for a wedding at the end of last month. A marque had been erected on the lawn, allowing wonderful views across the River. Tasteful decorations had been added to the marque and tables. Waitress service was excellent throughout the event. The food provided was outstanding: canapes (smoked salmon, pate, silton and mini yorkshire puddings), an amazing hot and cold buffet and selection of desserts. Thanks to the amazing owners

I have eat and drank here before as it is my Dads local, and always been very impressed by the warm welcome, friendly staff (after my first visit they remembered my name and drink preferences), and freshly cooked food. On my Dad and his new wifes wedding day they surpassed themselves. A stunning buffet, wonderfully cooked and beautifully presented in such a wonderful environment. This place is an absolute gem, and i always look forward to every visit.

A trip down the pub on a Wednesday night with the best fish and chips in the area I am so pleased the fish batter was superb,crisp and golden while the chips were fresh cut and perfectly cooked without being greasy,I will certainly have this again and the do this to take away. ...... Recommend highly to try!

The first thing I noticed having stumbled across the Blackwater Bistro on an day out is how hard the owners are working to make this place a welcoming success. Originally visited for a cuppa as we had some time to kill. Despite being too early and them not yet open for business they were happy to accommodate us. We went back the next week for lunch and were not disappointed. The soup starter was lovely. Followed by a ploughmans which I initially thought would leave me hungry was deceptive as I struggled to finish it all! Beautiful presentation. Friendly owners who take real pride in their food offering and establishment. Pity we dont live closer as we would certainly visit more often.

Came to see the raft race. Was once an annual event but hasn't run for 12 years. Hope it becomes an annual event again. We had a really great time. Lots of local support for this charity event. Quite a few rafts all manned by locals. Great effort made by all. Our first visit to this bar. We had drinks (coffee, alcohol and soft) and we ate from the bbq that had been put on for the event. Staff seemed well organised and friendly. It's in a great location with indoor tables and an upstairs plus outdoor pub tables in the grass. All overlooking the river near the yacht club. We probably wouldn't have found it easily as sat nav said we were there before we were and until you are right on top of it the building just looks like part of the boatyard. But we saw the rafts being unloaded. Chatted for a good couple of hours with friendly locals whilst we watched the race and ate and drank and our son played on the bouncy castles.Will definitely come back. And will look to eat at the Bistro.

It's an unusual restaurant. The building makes it look like a cafe, but it definitely isn't and the food is superb. Like many places they have that tendency to hand out tiny pots of butter that are insufficient for the amount of bread (double would be needed). I Really didn't expect sauce to turn up in sachets either. However whilst the service could be much slicker and the building is incongruous, it doesn't change the fact that the food is the best i've eaten in a very long while.

Thank you Sandra and Keith for making my daughter's 40th birthday perfect. You even ordered the sun. The food was delicious, hardly a crumb was left. Sandra went completely over and above what was expected. What a fantastic hostess. So attentive and friendly. Everyone said what a great afternoon. Highly recommend.

We go down every Wednesday for fish and chips and the food is always excellent. Lovely and fresh and never soggy. Highly recommend the rest of the menu is also very good. We eat there regular best food in Mayland. Keith and Sandra will go that extra mile so if there is nothing on the menu you fancy Keith will always cook something you fancy.

Take away fish and chips on Wednesday evening. Once home, 3minute drive away, I found the chips to be floppy and wet no crispness on the outside. The cod was the same no crispy batter just wet . Never again. Undercooked ??????.

This was a last minute lunch booking so glad we went food was well cooked and presented, it was a set menu but as I have to be dairy free the chef made sure my food had no dairy in it and prepared a dessert for me, nothing was too much trouble ! Will definitely be going again. The location was great too even though the weather was drizzly the views were fab x

Visited whilst staying at my Dad's. Fantastic food, freshly made (they even made something they had run out of to please my little girl) and cooked on the premises. Portions are generous.

This was our second visit to The Blackwater Bistro the owners and staff created a fantastic atmosphere for Valentine's with a rose and love heart balloon for each couple, the food was fantastic with the melting chocolate bomb dessert finishing the meal in style. You must get yourselves down to the Blackwater Bistro, Last night we went for Valentines, the meal was absolutely amazing if you don't go you will never know what you are missing, Keith & Sandra gave us a huge welcome & looked after us all night. The melting middle chocolate bomb was out of this world. The food they serve was & is always top quality & all freshly prepared on the day. This place is a little hidden gem. Go see for yourselves.

Excellent quality reasonably priced food and friendly staff, we gave the chef free reign to create a vegan surprise lunch and he came up trumps with a beautiful meal, we will return again without hesitation

Went with a group of 28 mid week for lunch, expected that we would have to wait a long time for us all to be served, but having ordered a couple of hours before we sat down (long nature walk first), we were pleasantly surprised to be served quite quickly. The meals were (we all thought) great, and no small portions, just good food. Waitress service was (also) good, and the desserts looked fabulous to me (I didn't indulge as I was full up). Not cheap, but we will go again.

What a great evening we had. The bistro opened up especially for our group and we had a superb meal with helpful staff and a pleasant atmosphere.Extremely good value.

A well-cooked and well presented Christmas lunch served by attentive people in a friendly and relaxed setting. All the other guests seemed to be enjoying their meal too. All in all, a really excellent way to spend Christmas Day!

With a group of 12 people on a gorgeously sunny autumn day so we sat waiting outside looking out over the marina with our drinks. Bit of a wait but understandable given the size of our party. Food was excellent. All freshly cooked and huge portions.

Breakfast was served in a very open space with great views over the River Blackwater. The food was of the highest standard and attentive staff.

We visited this restaurant last night for the first time. Arriving at 7.30pm we found ourselves at the wrong entrance (in the bar rather than the restaurant) however, a charming lady guided us to the right place and we were welcomed by the chef Keith. A delightful chap who was soon chatting and asking us what sorts of things we liked to eat. He went through the menu and even bought out a huge chunk of beef showing the men that this was the steak they could look forward to!! He was right, the whole meal was outstanding ,beautifully cooked prawns as a starter, melt in the mouth steaks and some calves liver were enjoyed by us all. Followed by poached pears in cinnamon, sticky toffee pudding, and white chocolate/raspberry cheesecake, absolutely gorgeous!!! All washed down with a very tasty house white wine.Thank you Keith for a lovely evening! This little Bistro is a hidden gem and one which we intend to return to very soon!!

We drove for about a hour to the restaurent at lunchtime today.We where greeted and made very welcome by the owners.The menu is small and full of great starters and main mealsAll four of us ordered and had great starters and mains Scollops and bacon, squid,halumni. Main beautiful pasta,liver and bacon,skate,sea bass.All of the food was prepared freshly and not a scrap left.Thank you for a great meal.

Nice view from the restaurant overlooking the marina in a relaxed atmosphere. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Excellent food, beautifully prepared and presented. Good value wines. Sadly we were on holiday but if we lived in the area we'd be regular customers.

We have just had our first meal here tonight and had a wonderful evening. The food was amazing with a really relaxed and friendly armosphere. The menu has around 5 starters, 5 mains and around 5 deserts to choose from which is perfect. I have always found the more concentrated the menu the better the quality and this bistro without doubt proves the theory. We, without doubt will be regular visitors. if you miss the sunday roast here you have missed the best ever yum lovely staff the wine great service 10 / 10 havnt cooked on a sunday for months

Excellent Sunday lunches to be had here....not a large dining room - booking might be helpful...with views over the estuary.
