Black Peppers in Wrexham

Went here for the first time and got the deal where you get A starter, a curry and a side for £14.99. Me and my table all got this deal and everyone was extremely happy with their food. For this price you cannot go wrong. It was sooo much food for this price, we all had full tummy’s. Not only this the food was amazing. The service was very food, but the food was a bit slow. I would definitely recommend this place, lovely restaurant and decor.

Bank Holiday Monday visit and early so was very quiet, food was tasty though. Staff helpful and friendly.

Best coloured I’ve had in years, was staying in a local hotel and this establishment was recommended by the receptionist, I do like a curry, I had the best madras’s ever, portion size was very good and very reasonable value.highly recommend they delivered too the hotel also!

Been here a few times now for a takeaway and a cheeky pint of draught Wrexham Lager. Always have a friendly greeting from the manager and the team. The food is fantastic. My favourite curry house in Wrexham!

Takeaway service very poor - we ordered at 6.15, were quoted a 7.45 delivery time. Finally arrived at 8.15 with part of the order missing. Will be using somewhere else in future.

Food excellent service brilliant never any problems. We all ways enjoy it.

Really poor place, arrived 18.00 and still waiting for our curry at 19.40. Explained we needed to leave at 8pm but told 5 more mins every 5 mins. Food came and after an hour and 40 mins 3 plates of the food was cold. Told the staff this and one of them laughed. Asked to see the manager and they said he's busy doing deliveries. Not interested at all. Also believe we were over charged. Complete rip off. Avoid at all costs unless you want late, cold food and to be laughed at.

This is the worst behaviour i have ever seen.The service is too bad.. They are demanding customers to order minimum 2 main course to take the order. If we don't want to order 2 main course then they won't take order and tell us directly we don't take order. So we just came out from the restaurant. That's the worst experience.

An hour between courses is unacceptable arrived before the evening rush too but apparently unable to cope

This restaurant is tucked away in Yorke Street Wrexham. It is clean and has smart decor. We were greeted by friendly staff who gave us time to sit down and settle before bringing the menu. The first question asked was "Would you like some poppadoms?" We said yes and in due course the six that we ordered were set down to us with a selection of dips. It came as a surprise however when the bill came that the six poppadoms cost £8.00. On reflection we should have been told that they were not complimentary. Having said that, it did not detract from what I can only say in all fairness was a delicious and plentiful meal. I opted for the lamb shashlik and the other two people in my family group selected the lamb biryani and the lamb korma as their choice. All arrived piping hot and in plentiful quantity including pila rice and accompanying nan bread. We asked if we could take away the uneaten bread which was placed in a plastic container with sealed lid. All in all our main dishes, including a side dish of potato and spinach, accompanying rice and breads plus drinks; lagers and cokes came to £83.00. We were treated to a complimentary glass of Baileys Irish cream. I would certainly go back to the restaurant on another occasion. They had on menu a naga mirchi curry dish which they labelled not for the feint hearted, I have sampled this dish before elsewhere and would say that this indeed is a very fiery curry. The menu has a good cross selection of the usual Indian type fayre and a large selection of sweet dishes which on this occasion was too much for us due to the portion sizes served to us.

Very disappointing. Food wasn't great and they don't like it when you say so. Rude staff who answer you back when providing feedback. Used to like the place, been going for years but after last Friday night we won't be going back there again. I'll stick to Maahis on the bypass or Ijazz. One starter didn't turn up and a chicken Kackoo had prawns in it. My mushroom pilau rice was very greasy and my meal became a mush. Explained why I wasn't enjoying my meal but head waiter became verbally aggressive. Other family members enjoyed their food but considering the total bill was over £200 is was extremely poor value for money. Place has gone down hill a bit.

Nearly £60 on food that had no flavour. Only ordered here cause my usual place was closed and what a waste. Food is way too expensive for the quality. Will not be using this place again.

Two of us went in on Friday evening, we were the only customers. We asked for a drink, said we are in no rush to order, but the waiter insisted we order immediately, he was very stubborn and wouldn’t accept that we weren’t in a hurry, it wasn’t even late. So we politely said if we have to order immediately we will go somewhere else. The manager was beside him by this time, and didn’t intervene. We weren’t rude and asked for the bill for our 1 drink and left. No wonder it was empty, won’t be going there again soon. Poor way to run a business !!

Disappointing takeaway delivery. Cost £28, 1 main ok, 1 side slop, rice and naan average. No poppadoms, delivery charge and service charge, delivered bearly warm, would not recommend.

First time here tonight, and what experience Why have I never been here. The food was exquisite, and lots of it. Left full and very content. Service was excellent, very friendly, and very efficient and helpful. Nicest Indian food I have ever tasted. Definitely be returning. They do a magnificent offer throughout the week.

Food is great. It’s shame they can’t get a simple order correct missed an entire curry out of my delivery and when they charge £4.50 for delivery you expect to get all your food at the same time !!! It’s not hard to read an order but clearly they don’t care. The rest of my food was cold by the time my curry arrived. Didn’t even offer any sundries for the delay. I’ll stick to ijazz from now on, shocking service

My husband and I went for an anniversary meal. We had poppadoms, chicken pakora, mixed vegetarian starter, lamb tikka sizzler, jalapeno Sicilian, coconut rice and peshwai naan. All the food was delicious and well presented. Service was excellent, very friendly and welcoming. We would both highly recommend Black Peppers.

I had no idea Wrexham had such a great Indian option. As a semi-regular visitor to the area I think this is the best restaurant in town

Myself and my wife called in after setting up the caravan at Plassey holiday park - We originally planned to get a takeaway but thought it would be just as quick to eat in. We are glad we did - the front of house welcomed us in and found us a table even though it was a Saturday night. When first ordering delivery stated 55 minutes, after ordering it changed to 90 mins and finally arrived 2 hours 15 minutes. This is not acceptable and we will not be ordering again from them.

Just had the most amazing meal at Black Pepper, the food and service was fabulous. Just ignore the one star revues, that complain about slow deliveries. The food will be worth waiting for.

Ordered food for collection for 7.20pm got there slightly earlier food arrived at 7.25pm not waiting for too long, the service there is of a high standard and very welcoming. Food its self is good value for money and very tasty. As we don't eat a lot in one go I tend to half it so we always get 2 days worth of food.

The food was superb. It was that good I went back the next evening. Staff were very good! If you enjoy Indian food I highly recommend.

Firstly this 1 star review is harsh on black pepper. Their food is and always has been fantastic. The reason they get 1 star though is because they continue to use delivery shark. Delivery shark will deliver your food late time after time and usually cold. Black pepper get the 1 star for continuing to work with what is quite clearly a lousy company. Delivery shark will add a handling fee and delivery charge which cost us nearly £7. When we reached the one hour mark my wife asked delivery shark where our food was. They said it was about to be picked up and when my wife asked if it would be delivered cold, they said no as it hadn't been prepared yet but when it was delivered the time stamp on the receipt suggested they have just out right lied to us. Black pepper if you keep using delivery shark you will lose business eventually. They are terrible

OWNER OF DELIVERY SHARK (very apt as you are a shark) who won't answer your call he just bins you off to voicemail. BE WARNED AND STAY AWAY!! Food is in the bin and chargeback currently being processed.

First time we ordered food and service was great, second time had to wait 2 hrs for food and third occasion phoned the after 2 hrs and they said food was on its way 30 mins later still nothing, at 2.5hrs and counting. Very nice chicken used here, rogan josh was quite mild and bland but a nice tasty madras, tasty bombay potato, good bread and starters and a set price special meal deal in the week (pre-booking required for deal) overall a good value meal.

I’m not from this city and staying at plassey holiday park. Made an order for delivery at 17:50. Callled them around 19:45 to see where my order was. The first excuse was… the drivers coming to pick your order up. Called back at 20:10… second excuse… The driver was on his way. Called back at 20:30… driver should be there soon. Then at 20:45 called them back. To which he says it’s been delivered to reception and he and the driver tried calling me. I have no missed calls and had 4G so he lied to me. Reception closed at 17:00. After all the calls I googled how far they were from my location. 10 minutes away. Shocking…They put my order on the ground in the open. To which anyone could have taken it. Diabolical and lazy delivery services. The order was cold and had to be re cooked. Thought I was getting chicken tikka with sauce to go with nann, popadom and chapalti but all I got was dry chicken and onions so was pointless having all that with out sauce to dip into. Definitely won’t be ordering from them if ever I’m back in this town. I will be advising park staff not to be promoting there business by giving people there menu leaflet.

Cracking meal at the Black Pepper, 3 Courses £12.95 per head, lots of a variety to choose from, meal deal is 1 starter, 1 main and 1 side, didn't have to book due to arriving just after opening, plenty of staff who were very welcoming on entering the restaurant, worth a visit if your in the area and on a budget

We visited on Saturday after being let down at another venue. They managed to accommodate a party of six, instantly. Should have come here in the first place! Very attentive staff, quick service, good food.
